Refuse to hear, taste, see or feel anything that is undesirable

I like the secretaries to hear anything that is good. As I often say to MOTHER, I like for Her and everybody— but especially I wouldn’t like for you to think, see or hear anything distasteful or undesirable, for that is what makes a person ugly; but to always be at a place in consciousness where you refuse to hear or notice anything undesirable by sight or hearing.

If you pay any attention to anything undesirable by the hearing of the ears or to know anything undesirable by knowledge—to pay any attention to, to smell anything undesirable by the sense of smell, all of those expressions of your five physical senses and your five mental senses can cause a person to express ugliness if they will allow such expressions to have access within them! You see the mystery? For the outward expression is but the manifestation of the mental and spiritual conception.

Dr. Kephart, Professor of Social Studies at the University of Pennsylvania had been using a chapter on FATHER DIVINE in his book entitled “Extraordinary Groups” for his Social Studies class and desired that MOTHER DIVINE speak to the students Herself. MOTHER acceded to his request and spoke to a group of some thirty of these students. Many of the things She said were to correct or clarify what Dr. Kephart had written. Continue to Stress Those Creeds

Continue to stress those Creeds, and when you get it stamped in you, it will be the same as your alphabet. It will be the same as one, two, three! And with that in itself, according to MY often rehearsed Statement, you will overcome every difficulty and you will be a faithful overcomer and you will be a fasting overcomer! Every word! Every Commandment!

Secretary: That is wonderful!

FATHER: But you will not speak a word critically of another!

Another Secretary: The Lily-Bud creed surely stresses that.

FATHER: The word, that Commandment there, you would do it and you would live it and you would express it, and you would fast all of the”other fellow” out of you, as far as that is concerned; abstaining from doing and saying things that you wou1d ordinarily do and say without ME Personally. Fast from it!

The Wind, Sun And Air

GOD is the same even as the wind is, even as nature is itself.

Now you may not get much sunlight in some houses or in some homes, you may not get very much air. If you get air it may be stagnant air, because you may have the ventilation in connection with some other connection that is stagnating the air of expression before it enters the room in which you are connected. That is the mystery.

So these thoughts are well worth considering. GOD is the same with or without a Person. His Condescension may cause such an expression in different persons and personalities to be reflected as if though HE is Personal, but GOD is impersonal with or without a Person. GOD is the same today, yesterday and forever.

The wind is pure and holy. If there are germs in it and if there are not any germs in the atmosphere in which you are living, the air is pure and holy – – It is absolutely pure and holy. It may be infected apparently by the germs of disease and other contagious germs; nevertheless, it does not say that the air isn’t pure. Matters not how filthy it may be, if you allow it run free it will cleanse itself after a little running.
