Father Divine’s message given at 468-470 Broad Street Bridgeport, Connecticut on Saturday afternoon August 14, 1937 at 5:45 p.m.
The second glorious Message given by FATHER atBridgeport under this date is enlightening to those who are still groping in the darkness of misunderstanding, desiring to be freed from the shackles of mental, spiritual and physical bondage created by undesirable conditions of both the flesh and spirit.
Preceding FATHER’s Words herewith recorded, an angel testified concerning the position on which she is now employed. In substance, she stated that her employers had said they would be willing to accept FATHER as GOD and would be willing to serve HIM wholeheartedly if HE would restore hearing to the deaf ears of one, a mother.
According to her statements, the greatest specialists available had given her up to be incurably deaf for life, and they, in their own belief, had come to the decision that only GOD and GOD alone could give her back her hearing.
In response to this testimony, FATHER gave the following Message, for which we thank HIM.
FATHER Spoke as follows:
PEACE: I was just thinking when you were speaking of the lady being healed; naturally she cannot be healed if she will not believe, or cannot believe—not as readily as she could if she did believe.
Firstly I want to say, the doctors have sentenced her to death and declared this complaint of deafness will last her to death—until death—and she cannot be healed of it. As long as the physicians are in her and in those with whom she is connected, and their versions stand between GOD and herself, naturally those things would be in the way to prohibit GOD from giving her her hearing; but if those things could be moved out—their versions and the versions of others, and all mortal concepts of things could be completely removed—then and there could the Spirit of MY Presence give her her hearing.
Nothing Contrary Can Hold Those Who Are Self-denied
If you notice closely the radical and the fanatical, those who are willing to make a complete self-denial and a wide open declaration concerning GOD’s Actual Presence there is nothing to the opposition or contrary, can hold them, because GOD in their version is a Living Reality, and everything else is beneath HIM; therefore, all other conditions that have resulted in their experiences are conditions of the least consideration; hence, they are completely dispelled when you lift your thoughts above materialism—when you declare your GOD in reality.
When you openly declare GOD and recognize GOD as a Living Reality, GOD to you is made Real and Tangible, and GOD will make REAL those promises to you as well as fulfilling them mentally and spiritually. To the materialists, GOD will be preached materially, and to the spiritual or spiritualists, GOD can be observed spiritually—but GOD can only reach your conditions spiritually and from a spiritual point of view; hence, observe HIM merely as Spirit.
But when you observe GOD as HE IS, filling all space and absent from none, being Visible, Tangible, Practical and Real, GOD can answer your requests and satisfy your desires in all of those different expressions you are seeking.
Sentenced To A Mental, Spiritual and Physical Destination
You are seeking GOD to bless you with food, comfort and with convenience—with raiment on the material plane and all of the other necessities of your physical life; you are asking GOD’s Blessings upon you for them. You can only get such by the recognition of the Tangibilization of GOD and by living according to HIS Word and by believing sincerely in GOD to lift you above the versions of men on the material plane, that have declared you your destination.
Now there is where at times some may get those things that life demands and some may not get them, and yet they may not be spiritually minded and may not be observing GOD as Real on all planes. It is because they have not yet been sentenced mentally and spiritually to a mental and a spiritual, yea, a physical destination; but those of the master minds in the world in which they are living—when you shall have been sentenced to a certain degree by the master minds of your world in which you are living—your only hope of redemption from those conditions is to recognize the SUPREME, as you would take your case to the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Heaven. That is the Mystery!
The SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN the Only Hope
But others may apparently enjoy those things to a certain degree, until the time comes when they too shall have been sentenced by the versions of men, the master minds in the world in which they are living, to their destination; then and only then it may be that they have come to their extremity; hence they may not be cut off from the blessings until they have come to their destination;…but when they have come to their destination and have in reality no longer an existence from that angle of expression, according to the master minds in the world in which they are living, the only hope of their redemption is to recognize the SUPREME MIND and take your case to the APPELLATE and SUPREME COURT, the APPELLATE DIVISION and the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN. That is the Mystery!
You may not be limited altogether apparently so long as you have not come to your destination, according to the decision and the versions of those judges in the world in which you are living; but when you shall have come to your destination in the world in which you are living, to a degree where you shall have been sentenced to your destination, to your extremity, you then and only then may find yourself extremiated, and no deliverance, for the master minds of the judges in the world in which you are living have sentenced you to a certain condition.
Now you cannot get your emancipation from those sentences and from those conditions saving by taking your case to the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court of Heaven — and when this is done, then will you find your real deliverance…when you go directly to GOD, the SUPREME JUDGE of the whole universe. That is the Mystery!
GOD, Judge Of the Earth, Shall Reverse Lower Court
This woman in her experience, according to your testimony, has been sentenced by the judges of physical science, in other words by the judges in physical science concerning your physical body and your physical existence, to a lifetime of deafness. Now her only hope of redemption is to take her case to the APPELLATE DIVISION or to the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN, that the JUDGE of the whole earth might reverse the decision of the judges in the lower courts on the earth plane, in the physical world of existence.
When the Judge of the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN, GOD ALONE, Who could help her condition, shall reverse the lower court’s decision of the world in which she is now existing, then and there she will have her real emancipation; she will have her hearing and will hear distinctly—if she can do that; but she will have to pass all of those judges in the physical world of existence, the mortal versions of men, all of their theories and doctrines, before she can get her real emancipation by taking an appeal to the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN, or at least the APPELLATE DIVISION of the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN—the Heavenly State of Expression where we are LIVING.
Versions Of Men Are Failures
She must pass by, go through all of those lower courts in her concept concerning the Mystery, and renounce those standards of expression in that world in which she has been living; then and only then can she ascend as Jesus ascended in the parable, parably speaking, when Jesus ascended to Heaven—which was but a Mystery in reality from this angle of expression—ascended above all materialism and above all of the moralist’s versions on the material plane, that He might take His case to the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN.
There is where He received His real emancipation and was completely delivered. That is the Mystery! So it will be with you or she whichever, and all other individuals. That is the Mystery!
When all earth shall have failed—when you shall have gone through all of your versions and all of the versions of men in the world in which you are living—when you shall have seen distinctly they are all failures and they have sentenced you to that condition whichever, to be—then and only then can you rightfully and readily contact ME to get your real Emancipation from those things.
And those other lower decisions must be reckoned until you shall have gotten rid of them—but when you shall have gotten rid of them—know they are failures, know they can do nothing for you—then you can rely on the Fundamental by appealing your case to the Supreme Court or the Appellate Division of the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN, and you will get a reversal of the lower court’s decision and you will have your REAL EMANCIPATION from those undesirable conditions where they had sentenced you to remain under and in, so long as your life lasts. That is the way she was.
Even Those Under Parole Are Under Sentence
She has been sentenced to a life of deafness continually, as long as she lives, by all of the specialists. Naturally, they are the judges of the physical conditions of men. When they have passed their sentence, naturally you must take an appeal if you desire to get above them. As long as you remain under them, you will have to serve that sentence, unless you take an appeal—in other words, seek to get a parole, that you might be freed, and if you get out on a parole you will be still subject to take treatments from time to time, as one out on parole has to report to the probation officer from time to time, to see if he has taken on any other bad habits, or taken on the old bad habit.
That is why even though they may release you indirectly, they will still hold you under their jurisdiction and request a constant visitation to the office to take diagnosis of your case—even though they may say: “Well, it may be possible for you to be free from those conditions some day” —but yet you are under their supervision; hence, you are only under parole and must be under their jurisdiction—must come around from time to time and let them take diagnosis of your case.
Emancipation By the Higher Court!
But when you take an appeal to the Appellate Division of the SUPREME COURT OF HEAVEN, out from under their jurisdiction, no longer can the physical science and the physical judges through physiology judge you longer and bring you into subjection to such conditions, for you will be emancipated by the reversal of the decision of the lower court from whence you were taken. Aren’t you glad!
Take this case in the experience of this lady, of whom we are now speaking—is but one among many. You might take that as a sample, you might take that as an example of millions of cases of which men have been sentenced to such conditions for life; they can only be emancipated and freed from those conditions by appealing the decision of the lower courts in which they have been living through physical and under physical science.
When they appeal it they are renouncing it and denying it—denying the reality of it and trying to get a JUST Verdict from the Higher Court through the reversal of the decision that has been handed down from the lower court; naturally they are emancipated from that decision and they are no longer under that sentence of condemnation for life, or from the time so long as it lasts.
