at The Divine Tracy Hotel
The Divine Tracy Hotel is a non-profit hotel operated by the members of the Palace Mission Church and others for the upliftment of mankind. It is under the spiritual guidance of FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE, and all those who enter its doors feel Their Presence permeating the atmosphere.
We have been blessed with guests from all over the world and most of them consider the Divine Tracy Hotel as a "home away from home". When the guests find it convenient to come together in the lobby, it looks like a small representation of the United Nations. Many of our overseas guests make regular return visits.
We thank FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE for being able to present this high moral standard of Virtue, Honesty and Integrity along with comfortable accommodations at very reasonable rates. Most of our guests cooperate beautifully in respecting our code of dress and FATHER DIVINE'S International Modest Code of :
No Smoking, No Drinking,
No Obscenity, No Vulgarity,
No Undue Mixing of Sexes,
No Receiving of gifts, Presents, Tips or Bribes.
The hotel is being maintained in excellent order; with immediate attention given to repairs as they are needed. This past year, special attention was given to painting and replacement of carpeting. The tile floor in the scullery area was re-grouted where necessary. All of the duct work for the air-conditioning systems were cleaned out and sanitized, and the roof over the fire tower was repaired.
Another project, was the thorough cleaning of work rooms and storage areas. We engaged help from the outside to assist in cleaning all the hard floors (vinyl and vinyl asbestos) in the linen rooms, linen closets, service sink areas, sewing room and utility closets from the second through the seventh floors. This involved stripping all the floors, sealing and waxing. We also shampoo-ed a total of fifty rooms and six hallways. One bathroom was completely re-tiled and the carpeting in ten guest rooms was replaced with plywood underlayment installed and carpeting glued down. We replaced television sets and air-conditioners in some guests rooms.
We thank FATHER and MOTHER to report that all bills for the above work completed, as well as all other bills, have been paid in full. We also thank FATHER and MOTHER for the cooperation received from all of the co-workers in maintaining the Divine Standard. We appreciate their effort in seeing that the hotel is kept clean and in good repair at all times. Compliments are received regularly from our guests and others about the cleanliness of the building.
We are blessed to have Holy Communion Banquets at the Divine Tracy Hotel Sunday evenings. The services have been inspiring and uplifting, with FATHER and MOTHER personally attending. The public is welcome to worship and break bread with us at these services and some of our hotel guests and others have enjoyed the privilege of dining at the Holy Communion Banquet Table.
We thank FATHER and MOTHER for the abundant supply of Divine literature place in the lobby of the hotel for anyone what is interested. Bound volumes of The New Day are also available for reading.
As changes and improvements take place in University City, we thank FATHER and MOTHER for THEIR Presence that has made a difference. In the midst of all this affluence and technology, FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE are still that Guiding Light with the solution to all of mankind's problems.
