(FATHER speaks as follows:)
PEACE, EVERYONE! At this instance we will further continue the service by having a few verses of the Sixth Chapter of St. Matthew read as our opening Scripture. I believe it is very appropriate for the occasion. It is very instructive, advantageous to those who desire to live according to same. You all realize, as with the Christian Movement, so with the Peace Mission Movement. It has been founded upon the Sermon on the Mount; the fifth, the sixth and the seventh chapters of Saint Matthew as the immediate Words of GOD to the Children of Men in the Sonship Degree as they heard HIM.
It is a privilege to realize the Sermon on the Mount. It is enough in the Sermon on the Mount to be the Foundation of all organizations, of all religions and of all nations! For this cause we will have a few verses of the Sermon on the Mount as part of this program- to go on record as part of it; for few people there may be that realize the Beatitude is the Foundation of all true Christendom and we, the representatives of the Peace Mission Movement, the Author and the Founder of it, still are building upon the Sermon on the Mount. The sixth Chapter and the First verse: (FATHER reads as follows:)
'Take head that ye do not your alms before men to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth. That thine alms may be in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret, Himself, shall reward thee openly.'
(FATHER pauses briefly to say:) I would like to comment on that thought very
vividly and stressfully for an instance:
'That thy Father which seeth in secret, Himself shall reward thee openly.'
It is marvelous to realize, those who have done their alms in secret and have
kept them in secret conscientiously and sincerely, they have been rewarded openly;
and it is marvelous to see the great unfoldment and the fulfillment of the Scripture
as given even by the prophets, the sages and the seers, but more significantly
so -the Scripture and Gospel of Truth as given by Jesus Christ.
A good many of you have striven to do as the Scripture said do, as it says, for what it has said, it still says the same! It is on record to be reiterated, to be rehearsed, re-read and repeated over and over again. For this cause we do rejoice and we are glad to see the great unfoldment of the Scripture and the fulfillment of it as you live it and put the truth into practice conscientiously and sincerely.
'And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are;
for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.
Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
'But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.'
(FATHER speaks again as follows:)
Your prayers are heard and answered because you pray to GOD in secret; because you do not pray to men nor to mankind for the blessings you are seeking, but in all sincerity and simplicity you pray to the Lord in secret, your prayers are heard and answered openly and you have Life, Health and Happiness! Not only so, but you have Success and all Prosperity! You have all Wisdom, all Knowledge and all Understanding because you prayed to the LORD in secret and HE that seeth in secret, rewardeth you openly!
Mentally, spiritually and morally the virtues of your spirit, your mind and your soul, you receive a great reward from that angle of expression by your prayers you are making in secret and in all sincerity. Aren't you glad! Economically, socially and financially and from other material angles of expression your prayers are heard and answered speedily when you pray to the LORD in secret- HE rewards you openly and you become to be super-successful, prosperous and happy in business, labor and trade!
In all you do, you will be a blessing not only to yourselves, but you will be a blessing to the people! You will be life to them that look on thee, and vision the expression of Purity, Perfection and Holiness manifested in you.
'But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
'Be not ye therefore like unto them; for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.'
(FATHER speaks again as follows:)
Aren't you glad! It is a marvelous lesson to be taught in the Sermon on the Mount, a lesson that transcends all lessons if they are not in keeping with and in accord with that of the Sermon on the Mount, because it teaches you the moral ethics of Life! That Sermon teaches you the Spiritual Ecstasy of Life as revealed in the Sermon on the Mount!
For this cause we do rejoice and we are happy to say, ninety-nine and ninety-nine one hundredths percent of those of MY true followers do pray from that angle of expression and not in the old fashioned system or custom. Can you not see the mystery? You do not see My following getting down praying to GOD to come and pay off the mortgage on the church (loud laugher ensues) or give them any desired blessing for which they are praying. But in secrecy the prayer goes before the Omniscient and Omnipotent in secrecy. It is heard and answered openly and you can see the blessings that the true and the faithful are receiving through living thus accordingly.
I would not or will not at this particular instance, have time to go into full details of this Scripture and quotation, but I thought to call your attention to it and get it on record, why some have striven to do something that is good, and died without the reward thereof! I said, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth! Whatsoever you do, if it is good and of GOD, whatsoever you doeth in secret, your reward will be openly received, for that is the Promise of the Almighty. Some people think they will get a great reward by telling everybody what they are doing for any good cause, but oh, how ignorant they are to rob themselves of that reward that has been given them suppositionally, yea, not only imaginarily, but it has been given them in secrecy by the Promise of GOD, for I did say in other Scriptures:
'No man has forsaken all these things lest he gain an hundredfold more in this present time, and in the world to come, life everlasting.'
But to the contrary, many individuals, some of whom have been called followers
of Mine, have betrayed their trust, having exposed for selfish aggrandizement
and for selfish exaltation, that which they have done for a good cause. They
think their good speaking and boasting of it, they will get a reward, but they
will lose their reward as sure as this is the Holy Bible. Many have lost their
reward!
No man should know what you have done for your fellow man directly, nor what you have done for GOD! That is, as far as you are concerned; but whatsoever you have done in secret -in all sincerity and have done it for Righteousness' sake, GOD rewards you openly, and that is the way I will tell others! But if you try to tell it, you will lose all your reward and all of the blessings that would be in storehouse for you by doing your alms in secret. If you refuse to conceal it, you sell your birthright and lose all your reward!
This, the Nazareth Mission Incorporated of New York, the Nazareth Mission Church and Home and Training School Incorporated, of Pennsylvania, has the Name of GOD - Nazareth, Jesus of Nazareth. For this cause we should lift up a standard of Perfection from every angle expressible and live exactly according to the Life and the Teaching of CHRIST as recorded in the Four Gospels. You know you have known that the Scripture bears record of Jesus of Nazareth.
Let us live in this recognition and in this very chapter, as well as you are taught how to do your alms, you are taught how to pray. The majority of you, My adherents, members and friends, have learned to pray as Jesus taught you to pray. Not as the hypocrites do, but you have been taught to pray and you hardly make any public mistake about that! But some of you have made mistakes about doing your alms! I mean, the very first verse of the sixth chapter I just read, because it tends to cause you to feel exalted; to have praise and glory of me, therefore, you fail to - some have failed - I mean those who have left the shores of time, they have failed to live according to My Teaching! They told someone what thy did; what they have done for Righteousness' sake for the good of humanity as giving alms, and they have lost their reward!
You have no right whatsoever, if you live the Life of Christ exactly according to the Four gospels, but especially the Sermon on the Mount, the fifth, the sixth, and the seventh chapters of Matthew- you have no right whatsoever to die! You have no right whatsoever to grow old, not any more than I! For I did say Scripturally, even prophetically- I said in the prophetic age:
'If there be a messenger among you, one among a thousand who will tell man of his (GOD'S) uprightness, my soul has seen a ransom.
His flesh shall be fresher than a child's. He shall return to the days of his youth.'
Take this Sermon and live it and express it conscientiously and sincerely and
put it into practice from every angle expressible. It is the Foundation of all
foundations, the hope and the redemption of all individuals, all organizations
and all nations! Aren't you glad! It will solve the problems of all of the nations
of the earth if they will take this Sermon and live it and express it and put
it into practice, they will need no other protection; they will need no other
help saving that which is according to this Sermon, and the Spirit of GOD's Actual
Presence will be with them and will give them the victory over every trial and
every tribulation! It will solve the problems for all of the warring nations
and it will bring Peace out of confusion and will bring an end to warfare and
bloodshed universally, for it is automatically the adjuster of all matters and
it will adjust matters satisfactorily.
Take this Sermon and build all your hope on this Sermon; as I have declared, Lo, I will be with you, giving you victory over all adverse and undesirable conditions, for it is the Beatitudes - the Commandments CHRIST JESUS gave them! Yes, CHRIST gave them these Commandments; not the Ten Commandments as given by Moses, but it is the real Commandments given for this dispensation to solve all of the problems and to adjust all matters satisfactorily for each and all of the nations, for as with an individual so with a nation, and as with a nation, so with all nations combined!
Just as I AM, so can each and all nations be absolutely free from misery, disappointment and failure; free from lacks, wants and limitations; free from adverse and undesirable conditions, and live the Abundant Life now, henceforth and forever!
I would like to further say, when you fast , do not be as the hypocrites by trying to put on a sad countenance- an appearance to fast- as though you are fasting, to cause men to think you are a very good man or woman but vice-versalate that assertion in actions and wash your faces! My Words here in this chapter will tell you, as you read down a little further, it will give you first-hand information, that is, if you are real, true Christians, even if you are not followers of MINE. I thank you.
