Palace Mission Church and Home for the Aged
During the surprise Review at the Palace Mission Church and Home, Incorporated, Home for the Aged and Nurses' Training School, as FATHER served the sumptuous and delicious Holy Communion commemorating the Third Anniversary of the Marriage of CHRIST to His Spotless Church, during the service one of the secretaries read from the current issue of The New Day under Righteousness Marches On, a letter received by FATHER from Miss Barbara Young of Australia and His Reply to her, the issue of May 28, 1949 A.D.F.D. At the conclusion of same, FATHER arose to enlarge upon it, that one and all might get the full significance of His answer that they might know, to Follow the CHRIST, they must live exactly according to the Life and Teaching of Jesus as recorded in the Four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John; for truly, He, Jesus was the Wayshower to Salvation.
Therefore, take cognizance of these Words that you might be led in the right path and you will need have no longer an occasion to stumble if you be in that category, for in these Words you will find Life, Liberty and the Reality of Happiness, for truly, they are Spirit and they are Life. Although the Words of GOD are quick and powerful and are sharper than a two-edged sword, if they are read in the spirit of meekness and in all sincerity they are indeed a blessing in disguise for you, for in Them you can turn to GOD and live!
For Thy Words of Spirit and Life, Almighty GOD, we humbly thank THEE!
(The foregoing statements are those of the transcriber, and the following is FATHER'S profound and dynamic Sermon, with FATHER speaking as follows:)
PEACE EVERYONE! Here we all are again. There I sit and stand, but in the summation I AM exemplifying all of the children of men in the exemplification -- in the Capsule of Salvation and in those of you in whom I AM. While sitting and listening to the message as read a little while ago, stressing the significance of self-denial and consecration and what I have brought about by self-denial MYSELF as an individual, and those who are in harmony with ME who make such self-denials as to come into possession and enjoy such blessings as we are presently enjoying, the persons in question for lo, these many years, nearly twenty years since those people mentioned in the letter claimed to know ME, and yet holding on to the flesh after the manner of men.
And after having written them and explained it to them concerning the name that she claimed was hers, yet they still desired to hold on to My Name as though I had given it to her as I did to My Spotless Virgin Bride. Mrs. DIVINE in the first Body could not have come into possession of such a title had it not been that She was willing to make such a sacrifice as Jesus Himself in the Sonship Degree made!
As a Sample and as an Example for you and for all mankind, those who desire to follow CHRIST and to inherit Eternal Life, that demand made upon Jesus intuitively and inspirationally, yea, volitionally, was the same demand made upon each and everyone of you!
'Who is my mother and who are my brethren and who are my sisters?
They that do the Will of My FATHER, the same are they!'
And that selfsame demand I made upon Jesus in the Sonship Degree, I made it upon
those who have dwelt with ME to come into possession of these limitless and infinite
Blessings! They were required to make the selfsame Sacrifice or Self-denial and
Consecration! Yet there are those who claim to be followers of ME for lo, these
many years and still hanging onto and holding onto the flesh as described in
My letter, and as so explicitly depicted in the quotations in the epistles of
the apostle:
'If ye live after the flesh ye shall die, but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.'
To come into possession of such an inheritance as we are representing, it is
required of you to follow the Footsteps of CHRIST JESUS of nineteen hundred years
ago! Now whatsoever Jesus said about it in the actuated words of expression in
parables and in illustrations, the Same Spirit is speaking to you and for you
today! Can you not see the Mystery?
Therefore, those who are worthy to enjoy the blessings that are at your disposal or at your service such as we are presently enjoying and daily enjoying, it would be essential and it is essential for you to live in keeping with and according to the Life that produced them! Therefore, as in the experience of My Spotless Virgin Bride of today, it was the same in the first Body! The sacrifice had to be made. And through the sacrifice she made with ME and with Mine! Those who were born of GOD after then, they made the selfsame sacrifice and gave themselves to the servitude of GOD for the children of men, serving GOD volitionally and voluntarily, serving GOD conscientiously and sincerely, serving GOD without reserve as a Sample and as an Example for all others who would even claim to be born of GOD!
Therefore, those who are worthy to enjoy the blessings that are at your disposal or at your service such as we are presently enjoying and daily enjoying, it would be essential and it is essential for you in keeping with and according to the Life that produced them! Therefore, as in the experience of My Spotless Virgin Bride of today, it was the same as in the first Body! The sacrifice had to be made. And through the sacrifice she made with ME and with Mine! Those who were born of GOD after then, they made the selfsame sacrifice and gave themselves to the servitude of GOD for the children of men, serving GOD volitionally and voluntarily, serving GOD conscientiously and sincerely, serving GOD without reserve as a Sample and as an Example for all others who would even claim to be born of GOD!
One comes into possession of such an inheritance as an heir and a joint heir with CHRIST when they shall have been disinherited of the mortal heritage and shall have made such a whole-hearted sacrifice! Can you not see the Mystery? They would not be eligible to come into possession of that which the sacrifice has purchased unless they would be willing to make the sacrifice equivalently; no only in some things, but in detail as the sacrifice by CHRIST was made as the Sample and as the Example for all humanity.
People come from far and near as afore said, even from far away Australia. The persons in question as mentioned in the letter, they came here all the way from Australia more than twenty years ago, contacting ME, and the Blessings and the hospitality and the servitude and every other blessing extended or tendered them at that time, they were all absolutely free! Can you not see the Mystery? They could not have been free saving by the sacrifice, that selfsame sacrifice that is required of everyone! You could not be worthy to inherit such a heritage and such a blessing as these blessings through the sacrifice of CHRIST that has come, unless you would be willing to make the selfsame sacrifice, for of all of His Fullness have all you received, Grace for Grace! You see the Mystery? You would not be honest to yourself if you did not do it. You would not be honest to GOD if you would try to inherit the blessings that GOD has in storehouse for you all, unless you are willing to make the selfsame sacrifice as required of Him! Can you not see the Mystery?
So these thoughts are well worth considering. Then I say, by the sacrifice that was made in the Person of Jesus, those who are converted in Him and live under such a conviction, they will endeavor to take the Teaching of CHRIST as recorded in the Four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and live exactly according to the Life and the Teaching of CHRIST and exactly according to the leading of the Spirit as it led Him! Can you not see the Mystery? By this, you come into possession of the Blessings you are now enjoying for the very blessings of comfort and convenience economically, socially and financially and from every other angle expressible that come through and by your Humble Servant. These Blessings came through and by the Blood through the sacrifice of the Life of CHRIST for the redemption of mankind! Can you not see the Mystery?
Therefore, this thought needs to be stressed vividly and stamped in your memory once and forever, to know CHRIST in the Person of Jesus was and still is the Sample and the Example for all others to copy after and to live exactly thus accordingly that they might come into possession of their rightful inheritance and enjoy the blessings as theirs, heirs and joint heirs with CHRIST.
I cannot stress these thoughts too vividly. Truly might have Jesus said:
'Lay down the world and take up your cross and come and follow Me.'
And whatsoever is required of one that is pleasing to GOD, it is required of
everyone to please GOD! Can you not see the Mystery? If it was required of MOTHER
in the first Body since eighteen and eighty-two to make such a sacrifice to reproduce
and bring into expression such Love and tender Mercy, to bring into materialization
these Attributes and Characteristics and Qualities of GOD exemplified so that
you by the Spirit might imbibe them and reproduce Honesty, Competence and Truth,
if it was required of Her to do so, THE SAME IS REQUIRED OF YOU TO INHERIT THE
BLESSINGS! Can you not see the Mystery? Though you may not have to suffer what
many suffered in paving out the way for you, but the sacrifice would be and still
is the same, to make the rightful contact and to enter in.
They came to Jesus as though Jesus was a man, saying:
'Thy mother and Thy brethren want Thee out there.'
Jesus denied the reality of a mother and a brother and a sister, saving those
who do the Will of His FATHER! Now that is for those who believe in Jesus or
believe in Christianity -- they are to live and copy after this Sample and Example!
Can you not see the Mystery? So then they should know -- each and every person
should know, whatsoever is required of one, the same is required of you! If you
are worthy to enjoy the least of these blessings that have come through the sacrifice
of Jesus, through self-denial and consecration and through the sacrifice of others
that you might enjoy the blessings we are now enjoying, even of the comfort and
convenience and other necessities of life, it would be required of you to make
the selfsame sacrifice! See the Mystery?
So that was the reason I wrote Miss Young as I did. Can you not see the Mystery? Because if she could be hurt because of the letter I wrote concerning not giving anyone else My Name saving MOTHER DIVINE, and she had taken My Name partially, in a way of speaking, and yet she was Mrs. Young -- I mean her mother - and went by the name of Mrs. Young in all of her business affairs and in her activities, but she wanted to claim the inheritance that came through MOTHER, through the sacrifice that MOTHER made in the first Body and the selfsame sacrifice that MOTHER made in the last one!
YOU CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS! But if you go on and if you are persistent in your ambition and determined in your resolve and if you have an ambition and a determination to follow GOD, you will make such sacrifices as are required as you are brought before the bar of Justice with the Spirit of Equity to make such sacrifices! Can you not see the Mystery? So that is the Mystery today.
There are so many people do not wish to make the sacrifice of anything and yet they desire to enjoy and inherit the blessings that the sacrifice brings! Can you not see the Mystery? And that selfsame sacrifice will work detrimentally to you unless you make the sacrifice equivalently and harmonize with it in all sincerity! Can you not see the Mystery?
So then it is something to consider. I did not mean to say so much at the instant, but as that message, as a letter of correspondence from Miss Barabara, was stressfully read and a good many thought along those lines and did not get the significance of what it said, I thought I would comment on it. Why is it that we have so many blessings? Because no man has forsaken all he has, lest he gain an hundredfold more in this present time and in the world to come Life Everlasting! That is why we have so many blessings; for the selfsame sacrifice that was made by Jesus and others who have come along with ME, has brought into outer expression and put into action automatically unlimited, yea, untold Blessings, more than your fondest imaginations. You see, that is the Mystery.
Take these thoughts to consideration stressfully and consider it, if you have not considered it; you will see and know whether you are eligible, yea, worthy to enjoy the Blessings that came through the sacrifices of those of the true and faithful and the sacrifices they are presently making. Can you not see the Mystery?
I need not say more at this instance, but the very Spirit of My Presence will bear you out if you will think sympathetically and harmoniously, for it brings the desired results. As I spoke in the prophecies of the Law, I said:
If you love ME and keep My Commandments I will bless your going out and I will bless your coming in. I will bless you in your storehouses; I will bless you in your baskets and in the fruit of your land and I will bless you in whatsoever you lay your hands to!
THE SELFSAME SPIRIT IS SPEAKING TO DAY, AND THE SELFSAME REQUIREMENT IS REQUIRED
