FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE
Just before this marvelous Sermon was delivered by FATHER DIVINE, GOD Almighty, one of the Secretaries read for the benefit of the many visiting guests and friends and reporters of various newspapers present, The Answer Man's letter to FATHER and FATHER'S Correspondence with him as republished in The New Day of July 13, 1946 on pages thirty and thirty-one; also a Speech by Mrs. DIVINE, published in the August 3rd, 1946 issue of The New Day on page twenty-four.
The contents of the enlightening Sermon which follows are self-sufficient in their explanation. For this cause no further comment from the transcriber is deemed necessary.
For THY Glorious Work and Mission, Dear LORD and Savior, we, Thy Children the Universe over do humbly thank and praise THEE!
(The foregoing statements are those of the transcriber, after which FATHER Speaks as follows:)
PEACE EVERYONE! Good Health, Good Will and a Good Appetite, with Good Manners, Good Behavior, All Success and All Prosperity; Life, Liberty and the Reality of Happiness and all other Blessings! These are freely given by HIM Who liveth forever and forever!
When I call for those Attributes and Qualities of Good they come forth into expression if you will but accept of them, and you are the imbibers of the spirit and the nature of these qualities and thereby produce them and bring them to fruition and become to be new creatures!
You have heard different religions of the Christian world speak of you becoming to be new creatures, but when you are changed from that adamic state of consciousness to the CHRIST Consciousness -- changed from that which is deemed by the religions, from Nature to Grace, you become New Creatures and New Creatures indeed! You have New Characteristics and a New Disposition. Aren't you glad! ("So glad, LORD!" responded the entire congregation.) Therefore, these Words are Faithful and they are True!
No doubt you all are interested in what I said to The Answer Man. I would like to emphasize the fact that the Marriage of MINE, according to what Mother said before Her passing several years ago, was 1882. It does not look much like it, does it? -- to see a young Fellow like ME! Aren't you glad! (A loud shout and thunderous applause of approval ensued.) But that Marriage was the same as this one: not to propagate vice and crime, self-indulgence, human affection, lust and passion, discrimination and segregation, races, creeds and colors, but to propagate virtue, holiness and all of these qualities that I have produced in millions and millions throughout this land and country and millions in other countries!
That is what MOTHER DIVINE and I actually produced: Honesty, Competence and Truth, Love and Devotion for our Fellowman and for GOD and for our Country! Aren't you glad! ("So glad!" declared the assembly.) Through that glorious unnatural but legalistic Marriage I produced and gave birth to millions into this Light of a Real Citizenry of a True Democracy through Her! That is why not a one of MY True Followers is going around begging, soliciting, borrowing and stealing; because I have given them a New Birth of Freedom of Honesty, of Competence and of Truth and of Virtue and of Holiness! Therefore, the Virginity of Mary I have made a Living Reality for you!
This is not a supposition. Look over this vast audience and over all of the audiences over which I preside! You will find they have a New Birth of Freedom of Honesty! They are known for their Honesty, are they not? ("Yes, FATHER Dear!" verified the multitude.) They are known for their Virtue! Even if they are married they do not indulge in human affection, lust and passion or any such an expression, because those things, as hobbies of men, they sacrifice for the Righteousness of the CHRIST and the Virtue of Mary to be reproduced in them!
Now that is what it was. The First Marriage gave birth to these qualities as exemplified among you, materialized, reproduced and personified! When the time came for ANOTHER to be performed -- VIRTUE was sought diligently to sit with ME that I might transmit Virtue and Holiness as I did in the FIRST One, so that I might give not only this nation a New Birth of Freedom but I shall give our whole civilization, with THIS One (FATHER indicates Mrs. DIVINE seated at His Right.) a New Birth of Freedom of Virtue and of Holiness, of Competence and of Truth that no man by physical propagation can produce! ("So true!" verified the entire vast congregation.)
This is not for physical propagation; it is not for physical cohabitation, therefore, it is not for another to try to do it!
'Be not deceived, GOD is not mocked!'
None can actually mock GOD! Aren't you glad! ("So glad!" declared the joyous throng.) Therefore, jot these thoughts down in your vocabularies and realize GOD is not in lust and passion! GOD is not in self-indulgence! GOD is not any more in self-indulgence today than HE was fifty years ago! GOD'S Love, to give this Nation a New Birth of Freedom that Abraham Lincoln called for! And I started about to give them a New Birth of Freedom by causing them to imbibe the Spirit of Honesty, of Competence and of Truth, of Americanism, Democracy and Christianity as synonymous, that they all might have a New Birth of Freedom; free from vice and free from crime, from sin and debauchery of every kind!
Now these are facts and figures too stout to be denied. I AM the same today, yesterday and forever! I have not deviated from My Assertions. I have not digressed in the actuated words of My Expressions! I AM carrying out My Plan and My Purpose to the letter!
But truly, as Mrs. DIVINE said, I cannot be bereaved! When Mother Divine seemingly deceased about three or four years ago, her spirit was with ME all the time! Her presence was just the same; but as it is written:
'GOD giveth it a body as it pleases HIM!'
a Holy, Virtuous, Untouched Body; untouched by mortality; just twenty-one years
of age, through which and by which the Sacred Matrimony was served, was carried
out to the letter, and expressed the Holiness of Jesus and the Virginity of Mary
for others to get it by concentration!
'The thing you vividly visualize you tend to materialize!'
In these audiences over which I preside you can see the Virtue and the Holiness exemplified in the very physical bodily forms of the children of men, for they have visualized and concentrated on these qualities and lived them and stressed them in their memory until they have produced them and brought them to fruition. Therefore, ye are now Living Epistles of a True Democracy, Christianity and Americanism and of a real Virgin Standard of Living to be exemplified Universally! You are Seen and Read by men!
Read these qualities in the faces of the adherents to My Teaching! Talk with them if you wish to -- both men and women. See if they have not produced and brought to fruition the very Nature and Quality of GOD transmitted, and the Virginity of Mary as GOD to the world, through her, gave it!
I need not say more. Through this Birth and through this Marriage of which we are now speaking, it was marvelous because thousands and millions have gone back and paid their old back bills! Can you not see it is not a Personal affair? Can you not see the profundity of Virtue, of Honesty and of Truth? Can you not see what I AM doing for the benefit of humanity among you? It is NOT for ME!
In your City right here, My Fellow Citizens, Hearers and Friends, thousands of dollars have been paid to charities, and back bills in the thousands and even millions have been paid, that were outlawed -- by the Spirit of MY Honesty and MOTHER'S combined that gave Birth to such a Faith among the children of men! Therefore, before you knew there could have been a sense of bereavement I proved to the world conclusively once and forever, I cannot be bereaved!
Therefore, I shall do more now, from henceforth, than I have ever done before, in the producing and bringing to fruition the Virginity of Mary and the Holiness of Jesus, of Virtue, of Righteousness and of Truth in the people!
I have long since declared and I re-declare the same:
'I will preach CHRIST in Words but more so in Deeds and in Actions, and I will put My Spirit in the people and will cause them to walk in My Statutes!'
They are walking in My Statutes by the millions because of this great Conversion, this New Birth of Freedom I AM giving; for Abraham Lincoln desired that this whole Nation might have a New Birth of Freedom and I AM here to say, a New Birth of Freedom I have given millions, that they might live Soberly, Righteously and Godly and express Democracy, Brotherhood and Christianity and prove to the world conclusively, once and forever, that which was deemed as Something supernatural is tangible, materializable, reproducible and personifiable!
The Principle of Mathematics has been personified many times, has it not? ("Yes, so true!" verified the audience.) When it was developed, or when it is developed in one's skill and ability to use the Principle expertly and accurately, that person is a mathematician; the personification of mathematics developed. Can you not see the mystery? ("Yes, LORD!" came the declaration of the entire congregation.)
I AM reproducing and re-personifying Virtue, Holiness, Honesty, Competence and Truth; Americanism, Democracy and Brotherhood, as I say it to you!
Again I wish to say, when we, as American Citizens, use the words, the motto, as our Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag, in melody we sing it and concentrate on it vividly, for we are One Nation, indivisible! I AM making you One Nation, indivisible and there shall be no division among this people, for where there is division there is strife and confusion, and where there are races, creeds and colors you will find the prospect of division, of strife and of confusion.
But I came to bring ALL of the people together to crush out Hitlerism and all barbarism and all division that bring misery, disappointment and failure. And just as the little composition says, one of our most recent numbers that came forth by inspiration:
'Some day it shall be all over this wide extended plane just as at is right here! None shall lack in GOD'S Abundance!'
You have never seen any scarcity around ME, have you? ("No Sir, GOD Almighty!" came the immediate response of the congregation.) So shall it be from shore to shore and from land to land, for
'The Spirit of the Consciousness of the Presence of GOD is the Source of All Supply!'
Can you not see the mystery? ("Oh yes, LORD!" verified the joyful assembly.) Can you not see why we are so bountifully supplied? Because these, My Followers, Hearers and Friends, are CONSCIOUS of the PRESENCE of GOD! It works AUTOMATICALLY, just the same as light dispels darkness and your radiation system drives the cold out of your home and causes your home to be comfortable -- just by the presence of the radiation system in your home. GOD in the midst of this people, when they are Conscious of My Actual Presence, automatically it Expresses and Produces the Abundance of the Fullness. Therefore, truthfully I can say,
'The Abundance of the Fullness. of the Consciousness of Good, no space is vacant of the Fullness. thereof!'
And eventually it shall be just this way all over this wide extended plane! There will be not more race riots and confusion among the inhabitants of the Land! Can you not see the blessed Mystery? There will be no more lacks, wants and limitations; there will be no more adverse and undesirable conditions; for GOD Himself shall be with you thence, henceforth and forever! I thank you!
