In every imaginable way man has sought to avoid obedience to GOD and obtain his desires -- health, success and prosperity and happiness -- but with all their schemes and systems they have failed; for by the Law of GOD, the wages of sin is death, preceded by sickness, disappointment and failure; and disobedience to GOD is sin. There is but One way, the Way taught and exemplified by JESUS CHRIST nineteen hundred years ago and in this dispensation, the FATHERSHIP Degree, FATHER DIVINE. This Way is the "Open, Sesame!" that will open every barred and shut door and sweep every obstacle from before you.
FATHER'S glorious Message on this occasion illustrates how HE has brought every desirable blessing to the millions who are now following His scientific Teaching and exemplification of the Life of CHRIST in every personal and business activity, and the interesting remarks of visiting friends who are learning to apply the Principle to their daily affairs with much success, confirmed His Words.

PEACE EVERYONE! Here we all are, there I AM: there I sit and here you stand! I came to make Myself One with the children of men according to the eternal plan. At this particular instance I have arisen to say, as we have visiting friends with us, we want them to feel free to speak by moving volitionally, even as we do if they care to. If they do not care to move volitionally, an introduction according to custom will be given; but in the meantime I would just like to say to those of My followers, friends, visitors and strangers and others, to our fellow countrymen and to our citizens in this and in all other communities, I have long since declared:
'I will preach CHRIST in words but more so in deeds and in actions, and I will put My Spirit in the people and cause them to walk in My Statutes. "Behold, we put bits in horses' mouth that they may obey us, and we turn their whole bodies about.'
I thought to say and convey that little thought for your consideration. If I
AM not a Speaker to the appeasing of the masses in words, permit ME to be in
actions by My Presence among the people.
While sitting and listening to the different speakers, I thought of the actuated words of expression, of what I AM endeavoring to tell the people -- not only from an economic point of view but from a political, from a national, from an international and from a spiritual and religious point of view, to speak in actions and in deeds second to none with all with whom I come in contact and to it and all who are ready to receive ME. I do not anything Personally from a physical point of view or from a monetary point of view to bring about the desirable results such as you now observe. But as a Forecaster, as it may be termed, and as a Way shower to Victory, to Success and Prosperity, I transmit My Spirit to these, My co-workers, followers and friends, and cause them to walk in My Statutes.
I thought to say, why be without schools? Why be without homes? Why be without anything that is necessary for your respective advances, when "the earth is the LORD'S and the fullness thereof," and HE does not claim anything for Himself as a Person; therefore, HE is giving you a chance to have it -- not only have it but have the things of the earth. Aren't you glad?
One writer declared:
'I once was young but now I am old; I have never seen the righteous forsaken, neither his seed begging bread.'
You cannot succeed by going around begging, borrowing and soliciting. In the
actuated words of expression, when you are soliciting, borrowing and begging,
you are sowing the seeds of poverty; the fruit thereof you must shortly reap.
Can you not see the mystery?
When you sow the seeds of abundance and sow the seeds of Success and Prosperity in the actuated words of expression, you must reap the fruit of the same seeds you have sown. Aren't you glad? I would like to say to our fellow citizens from every point of view expressible: as you are ready to receive ME, I AM ready to receive you. I do not merely mean mentally and spiritually but economically and from every other angle of expression; for GOD is Perfection in every issue and on every phase of life for you.
I was just thinking of this auditorium and the other auditorium in the building and the accommodation we have here, such accommodation as we have, it can be multiplied as you increase and multiply; for,
'Of His Kingdom and Peace and of His Increase there shall be no end.'
So long as you are serving humanity absolutely unselfishly, ways and means will
be produced whereby you may be able to accommodate them. Aren't you glad?
In business, profession, labor and trade, as you open up and expand your borders in your respective profession, gift or talent, even so will your business advance, increase and multiply. The Way of GOD is the Way of Progress and Success and Prosperity! GOD said in the beginning of the creation:
'Increase and replenish the earth.'
That which we have, as was in the days of Jesus, the Son of GOD in the Sonship
Degree; CHRIST multiplied the two small fishes and the five barley loaves to
satisfy the desire of every soul. Every soul can be satisfied for the sustenance
of your bodies, of your spirit, of your soul and of your mind; GOD is the Satisfier
and the Adjuster of matters and will satisfy the true and the faithful. Therefore
I say, it is a privilege and a pleasure to be here and see the great unfoldment
of the true and the faithful who are observing the truth that GOD might be a
blessing among you. As in the City of New York I have lifted thousands from the
relief rolls and from the charity doles -- I have lifted thousands and even hundreds
of thousands from vice and crime, from sin and debauchery of every kind. I have
caused men and women to live decent and respectable lives and realize,
'GOD is not a GOD afar off, but GOD is a GOD at hand!'
This should not be strange to the world of religion, for that was the Mission
of CHRIST JESUS, your Savior:
'His Name shall be called Immanuel, being interpreted, GOD is with us.'
This Doctrine should have been preached all along since CHRIST first came:
'His Name shall be called Immanuel, being interpreted, GOD is with us.'
But the people preach GOD is in heaven! You see the mystery? Therefore they cannot
get the blessings because they think GOD is in heaven.
As I was saying coming down this afternoon or this evening, whichever, to My co- workers and Mother -- I said, "It is a wonderful thought if I look back twenty-five, thirty or forty of fifty years back; I have come in contact with many great ministers of the gospel and doctors of philosophy and others who looked upon ME as being most insignificant -- and insignificant I may have been -- but it is something to consider how
GOD has given thousands and thousands and millions Victory over lacks, wants and limitations, over discrimination and segregation, over misery, disappointment and failure; and has actually established your going in the Land of the Living.
As a sample and as an example, My daily activity is a demonstration. I AM demonstrating what I AM telling you daily in My daily activities. Aren't you glad? As a matter of course we demonstrate Unity, Tranquility, Life, Love and Liberty and the reality of Happiness. Aren't you glad?
And with such a demonstration I AM carrying with it the very Spirit and the Nature of the Contagion and I AM causing others who are susceptive and unbiased minded to be affected with this Contagion we are expressing; and everyone who is affected with it, the same as Mr. P. said, why, they become to be Successful and Prosperous, Healthy and Happy! Aren't you glad? For it works!
It is not a supposition, it is scientific and it is accurate; yet it is real, tangible and practical; no longer merely imaginary as a superstitious version of men, but it is made real, tangible and practical for them; and by this you can live on! I said, insignificant as I may apparently be, all who adhere to the Teaching as exemplified among you, they have the Victory over lacks, wants and limitations, over disappointment and failure, over misery and over all undesirable conditions right here in the Land of the Living. I mention this because at the time of the other World War, the majority of the people could not get white flour. The majority of the people could not get white sugar, and what little they could get, those who could get a little, could get a quarter of a pound in some places and maybe a half a pound.
But oh, how glorious it was! Just as you see My present banquet tables spread wheresoever I AM, there they were there and then just as they are now! When we sit at our dinner tables and say:
'LORD, make us truly thankful for the blessings we are about to receive for the nourishment of our bodies and for the benefit of our souls,'
do not say it unless you mean it! Some may have said it and did not mean it;
but if you did not mean it, I have made millions truly thankful for the good
they have been receiving.
Some of you may say, "HE talks about food as though it is some spiritual blessing." To ME it is a spiritual blessing! You all have been praying for food and raiment, haven't you; houses and shelter, comfort and convenience? You know you do want to be outdoors!
Well, just as we have this hotel here in the name of GOD, we mean to have a-plenty of comfort and convenience for one and all by the Power and the Spirit of your GOD. This does not necessarily mean it must be called FATHER DIVINE'S -- yet relax your conscious mentality and still yourself whole-heartedly and live soberly, righteously and godly; and you, individually, severally and collectively, will be blessed abundantly. This is not a strange doctrine; you have heard it. You have heard:
'Call on ME in the day of trouble and I will deliver you.'
Then why marvel at this when I AM just fulfilling what you have been praying
for? Aren't you glad? And the beauty part of it is, it fills every avenue of
life and every niche in your life, because GOD is Omnipresent! Can you not see
the mystery? Therefore, it reaches you scientifically, intellectually, psychologically,
mentally, spiritually, materially and from every angle expressible. Take GOD
with you! Now I have heard you sing and I have heard you say: "Take the
Name of Jesus with you, child of sorrow and of woe; it will joy and comfort give
you, take it everywhere you go." Now, marvel not because we take the Name.
"The Name of GOD is a Strong Tower . . ." We are sheltered from the
storm! The world, Hitler and no one else can do us any harm! They cannot do a
thing, for GOD'S Name is the Tower that is Strong and it is a place for hiding;
a Rock in the weary land and a Shelter in the time of a storm! Aren't you glad?
Stay in this atmosphere of such a religious conviction. You feel as though it is the Gospel of the Kingdom, for I AM giving you Good News and Glad Tidings. I need not say more, but as I said, I will show you better than I can tell you; for ME, I stand as an abstract expression demonstrating and unfolding the mystery economically, socially, politically, mentally and spiritually as well also as intellectually and from other angles of expression that are necessary for your advances. Aren't you glad? Live in this recognition, build upon this foundation and trust in GOD whole-heartedly and know I will be with you; and I AM Well . . . ! You know what I AM! I AM whatsoever I say I AM. I AM whatsoever I have said I AM in the conclusion of all of My letters. I AM not only those words in illustration, but I AM them in recognition and realization! I AM them in reality!
If you carry ME along with you now, whatsoever I AM in the conclusion of My letters by declaration, you will carry all of these qualities, attributes and expressions and you will be Healthy, Happy, Joyful, Peaceful and Lively; you will be Successful, Prosperous and will not be a failure in business, profession, labor nor trade; for GOD is all and all for you. Aren't you glad? Everybody can live Happy! Everybody can be Successful! Everybody can be Prosperous and everybody can have the Spirit of GOD and everything that is Good! Aren't you glad?
Now, live in this recognition and in this atmosphere and in these vibrations where you are now living. You will have the very recognition continually of Good News and Glad Tidings, the Gospel of the Kingdom to you I AM preaching:
'His Name shall be called Immanuel.'
Remember the Mission of CHRIST to humanity:
'His Name shall be called Immanuel, being interpreted, GOD is with us.'
The Mission of CHRIST was to bring into their recognition and realization the
consciousness of GOD'S Presence! Can you not see the mystery? And such a conscious
conviction of GOD'S Presence would automatically adjust matters satisfactorily;
for I have long since declared by composition, yet it was a declaration from
the very Infinite Spirit:
'The Spirit of the consciousness of the Presence of GOD is the source of all supply, and it can and will satisfy every good desire.'
Be conscious of GOD'S Presence and you have the Keynote to Salvation to solve
all of your problems and to adjust matters satisfactorily for you. Then I say,
live it and express it and be convinced of it; and LIVE IT, I say! You will have
it once and forever: GOD is Present! GOD IS PRESENT! GOD IS PRESENT! That is
the "OPEN, SESAME." That is the Mystery!
It is not a secret, yet it is a mystery until you get it; and after you receive it, you will no longer seek it, for you have it -- the "The Open Sesame!" -- and you will not go there and say, "Open, Barley," or "Open, Rice." You will call the proper grain for Sesame to open. Aren't you glad? You will not go and say, "Open, Barley!" or, "Open, Wheat!" or, "Open, Rye!" and say everything else but the right one; but you will say the right one and it will open. Then I say,
'The Spirit of the consciousness of the Presence of GOD is the source of all supply, and it will satisfy every good desire.'
That is the Keynote to Salvation, and when you have it, then just say, "I
thank YOU, FATHER." Aren't you glad?
What said I concerning the mystery -- and this is Biblical; I said it Biblically:
'In everything give thanks, for this is the Will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS concerning you.'
Now, at this time, by the way, you usually say, "I thank YOU, FATHER!" Your
prayers are heard and answered speedily, for the prayer is not the mere words, "I
thank YOU, FATHER"; prayer is the heart's sincere desire unuttered and unexpressed.
But you give thanks for the blessings you are desiring, and know you have them;
your prayers are heard and answered speedily, as quickly as you can receive them.
Everybody should be happy! Everybody should be healthy! Everybody should be prosperous
and everybody should be well; for I AM all of these attributes and qualities
I have proclaimed in the conclusion of My letters of correspondence; and I declared
when I rose to even salute you this evening -- I said,
"Here you all are and there I AM; there I sit and here you stand!"
I AM WELL, I AM HEALTHY, I AM JOYFUL, I AM PEACEFUL, I AM LIVELY -- and as far as business is concerned, I AM SUCCESSFUL, I AM PEACEFUL, I AM LIVELY -- and PERSONALLY, after the manner of men I will attract and draw all things that life demands. Aren't you glad? It will come; everything will come automatically! All you must needs do is to live soberly, righteously and godly and be conscious of GOD'S Presence now, henceforth and forever. That is the mystery. "Open, Sesame!" It will come open, but remember one thing -- you all should know, or I should have told you -- when Ali Baba's brother's wife tried to count the blessings, she lost them! Do not be selfish and try to limit the blessings by trying to count them especially. I do not know or bear record how many blessings I have. The majority of you, My hearers and friends, have heard ME sing a mathematical song in enumeration from millions to billions, from billions to trillions, and from trillions to quadrillions, and from quadrillions to quintillions, and from quintillions to sextillions, and from sextillions to septillions, and from septillions to octillions, and from octillions to duodecillions, and from duodecillions to decillions, and from decillions to septi-decillions, and from septi-decillions to septi-decillions times septi-decillions times septi-decillions! I have gone into INFINITUDE, the end you cannot vision! You do not know what septi-decillions times septi-decillions times septi-decillions really are! Aren't you glad? Mathematics in the American English mathematics cannot fathom, cannot tell you. Aren't you glad?
GOD is Infinite by nature, and the mystery of those things goes into Infinitude. Even when GOD showed Abraham the stars of the heaven and the grains of the sands of the sea, Abraham did not know how many grains were there, and did not know how many stars were there, but your seed shall be, or blessings, whichever, could have been said blessings to the children of men to you I bring. Aren't you glad? The mystery of that little mathematical, multiple composition: "Every day they are multiplied by as many more -- one billion blessings; every day they are multiplied by as many more -- one trillion blessings, every day they are multiplied be as many more . . ." -- to decillions times decillions times decillions, and septi-decillions times septi-decillions times septi-decillions of blessings in the enumeration, in the imagination, as it may be termed; but there are so many blessings you cannot count them all. Someone may say, "That is a fanatical and an ignorant imagination," but what said the Scripture concerning the mystery?
'Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think.'
I thought on mathematics into septi-decillions times septi-decillions times septi-decillions of blessings. GOD is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and more
than you can think! I have caused you to think out in the mathematical field
into its infinite space where there is no end! Can you not see the mystery? Going
into Infinitude, your vision has no end, with the right concept and the recognition
of GOD'S Infiniteness and you observing GOD in all you think and say and do.
Take these thoughts to consideration and I will not bore you longer, but I do wish to say to our visiting friends, any and all of you, feel free to speak and move volitionally, if you care to; for that is the mystery again of your advances. You make your advances by moving volitionally. Move spontaneously; the Spirit will advance you.
The child that springs up and tries to walk and tries to walk and keeps trying, he grows stronger and stronger every time. Can you not see the mystery? And shortly he is walking and no more crawling. Can you not see it?
So, as you make your advances by moving volitionally, each advancement will help you some other to win. By moving volitionally within and expressing without, you gain ground every time and overcome the weakness of yourself; you grow in strength, in wisdom and in knowledge and in everything necessary for your advances. Aren't you glad?
Now, live it and express it and whensoever you come into these audiences or these places of worship, feel free to express. Ministers of the gospel, politicians and representatives of every field of activity, so long as they are Evangelical, or even if they are only legal, you are welcome to speak and move volitionally; and do not feel as though you cannot come and fill these seats up here when I AM Personally present and when I AM Personally absent. All are welcome to come right up to the front and feel free in sitting and speaking, singing and talking.
Our ministers of the gospel and missionary representatives are also especially invited; but we have officials and representatives of this great Democracy -- I desire to give them a chance to come to our borders, to come into these different audiences and see what GOD is actually doing for them.
I change the morals and the characteristics even and the nature of the people! I lift up a Standard among this people and express it openly. You can plainly see it. Just look over this audience and over any audiences wheresoever I AM -- how the Spirit of CALM overwhelms the audience because GOD Himself is among you, leading you and guiding you and controlling you mentally and spiritually. Matters not what size audience we have, we do not need a policeman. Aren't you glad? GOD is controlling the situation and patrolling the audiences as well as patrolling your mind and your spirit. At times in our divers or great demonstrations policemen are there; a few may come at times, but we do not need them. I have gone in demonstrations among the radicals where they would have a fight with the police and with the authorities every time they have a little, small demonstration; and once I went into a demonstration where they had about three hundred and fifty thousand, supposed to have been, and I went in especially to hold things in check to co-operate with law and order and to keep the people in line and hold them down, to keep them from fighting and breaking one another's heads; and there was no disorder reported. Aren't you glad?
So, there are many things GOD is actually doing for this people that are not mentioned and not even slightly considered, more than mortal to command and more than you can understand. If I was to stand here and go back to try to call to your attention the different things that are miraculous that the Spirit has done and is doing, you would be astounded, those of you who would not know. However, I will speak more explicitly in deeds and in actions, for they speak louder than words. I need speak so much in words, for I believe this hotel is an actuated Message of decency, of cleanliness, of godliness, of righteousness and of truth; and I believe that you, My hearers and friends, not only those of you, My followers, but others are here just now expressing a real Democracy. I believe you are expressing the Constitution in that you have entered this auditorium, in that you are acting orderly and respectable, in that you are expressing decency and cleanliness, in that you are assembling with us peacefully. Aren't you glad?
There are more ways to express and preach than that of merely preaching from the Bible. The Bible is just and right and it is the thing we all preach by and preach from, but let us live it and express it in our daily activities and let us tell other people just how they should live it.
Now I would like to say to our visiting friends, if any of you have a word to say or desire to say what you may, you are welcome to come forward, or if you are near, you are welcome to speak by moving volitionally as we do. Do not feel as though you must speak on any subject especially; this is a public democratic mass meeting. As a Democracy we stand for each and every person to move by his own highest intuition and speak according to the dictates of his or her own conscience. By this you are lifting yourselves to a higher level and causing CHRIST in you to unfold Himself according to His own plan and purpose. I thank you.
