'FATHER'S got to guide me all the way; FATHER'S got to guide me all the way. All I've got to do is to walk in His Statutes; FATHER'S got to guide me all the way.'
This was the song that rang out in great faith as with one mighty voice around the great Banquet Table of FATHER DIVINE at 20 W. 115th Street, New York City, Friday morning, March 16th. It came forth by inspiration through one who had faith in FATHER that had delivered her from many difficulties and brought her out more than conqueror in every instance, as she recounted her experiences with the authorities of schools and hospitals. She told how the school authorities had insisted upon medical attention and other requirements for the boy of whom she was guardian, and of how she had carried FATHER'S Message to them and their attitude had completely changed, so that they sent her a thirty-seven dollar check to aid in the support of the child. In another instance she had received notice from St. Luke's Hospital in New York, to appear for an examination of her eyes, for which she had been taken treatments before coming in contact with FATHER. She said she took FATHER with her and some of His Messages, and was able to show them where her eyes were healed and she did not need their attention. At the conclusion of the testimony, FATHER introduced the song, "I heard you say, FATHER'S got to guide me all the way", and then spoke as follows:
Good Health, Good Will and a Good Appetite, and we also have great faith in GOD; faith that is not confined nor bound to the shores of time, neither to the material realm, but faith that transcends all human imagination, going into infinitude, the end you cannot vision. Therefore, your faith is not limited to the human observation of things by the physical sight, nor by the mental sight of men. Upon this foundation if you build, the Spirit of My Presence and the Presence of My Spirit, will prove Itself to be just as operative with you at My Personal absence as it is at My Personal Presence. But remember, you must live and BE it, and be unshaken in confidence, regardless to what the circumstances or conflicts or conditions may be; such Faith that will not shrink
'though oppressed by every foe.'
It is a faith that has been called for from the earliest existence of Christendom;
but such a faith had not been developed whereby it could stand and withstand
with or without the visibilization of things.
The average faith of man is developed to that degree in consciousness wherein he can stand in his faith as long as it is visibly manifested; but we are privileged to see and also to know this mystery of GOD'S Presence and Love, to show that GOD is just as operative without the Personal Body as HE is with it; else GOD would not be infinite. When you look upon the Presence of GOD as a Person, and bind your thoughts "confiningly" to the individual, and if I can only reach your conditions through My Personal Presence, your faith is limited.
Then, in verifying the statement of the last testimony, or testifier whichever, I call your attention to the fact of what she said: "My Word will stand, even though the Heavens and the earth seemingly pass away." Before I had any Body I AM the Same. According to Biblical history the Spirit of GOD moved out upon the face of the deep, having no form nor comeliness, neither appearance to be observed by the eye of man, yet it was declared according to the records given by them, His Spirit said, "Let there be Light, and there was Light."
I came to establish a Principle, the same as the principle of mathematics, but a million times, a decillion times greater. The principle of mathematics is not confined nor bound to a person. Though you may be a great educator, especially in mathematics, yet the principle of mathematics is not confined to you as a person. If you as an individual would apparently fail, this knowledge and this understanding, this education, this intelligence, this Light of Life, will never fail. It is going forth conquering and to conquer, and what do we care about the visibilization of things? GOD can invisibilate Himself if HE wishes to, and HE can re-visibilate Himself again. HE had no from nor comeliness, but it was declared,
'When thou shalt see Him there is no beauty thou shalt desire Him.'
HE was not observable in the beginning. The CHRIST Consciousness, the Spirit,
the Mind, the Life, the Love, in short, GOD Himself, was not observable in the
beginning; nevertheless, the mission of this Principle, as being termed the Spirit
on earth among men, was to bring into outer expression the things that were invisible,
and after bringing many things into outer expression, according to the Scripture,
the very Creator and Expresser, the Manifester, yea, the Duplicator, duplicated
man after the similitude of His own Image. Yet HE had not brought Himself into
outer expression that was observable by the visible observation or vision of
man; after which HE brought Himself into visible or outer expression and into
materialization; for
'The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.'
I came with a Bodily Form, but with or without a Bodily Form, I AM the Same.
Stamp this Truth in your minds. It is Wonderful! Write it upon the table of your
heart! Trials and tribulations may come upon you, but the Spirit of My Mind and
the Mind of My Spirit will go on. Remember, you are not binding yourselves nor
confining yourselves to the visibilization of GOD Himself, but this Principle
that has been, will be and always will remain, with or without the personal presence
of anything. Build upon this Foundation, realizing it is not matter nor personality
after the mortal version of men we are talking about, but we are talking of true
Spirituality and the real mentality, the Life and Love of GOD, and of what GOD
really is with or without the Bodily Form.
I rose at that particular time to stress the great significance of the different individuals observing the Scripture as they are, and understanding the mystery of GOD'S Presence with or without a person or persons, knowing within yourselves, the Spirit is operative and always has been, yet condescendingly HE came to quicken and resurrect a Light of Understanding in the hearts and lives of men, that they might be freed from the mortal versions of their preconceived ideas and opinions.
Firstly, the human version, the mortal version, is earthy. Truly might one have said,
'The first Adam is of the earth, earthy; the second Adam is the Lord from Heaven."
'He taketh away the first that He might establish the second.'
Take these thoughts to consideration. Come to this realization of the great mystery
of the first light of your understanding coming from the mortal versions of men,
their theories and doctrines, etc., and remember, such versions of all of the
human intellect or intelligence, are but a slight sketch and a reflection of
a percent of a fraction of a grain of the reality of the second version. All
of your understanding of yourselves, Christendom, and every other expression
imaginable, it was but an earthly version or versions handed down through the
fore-ancestors, through their teachers, seers, and advocators of Spiritual and
mental and scientific things. These versions are of the earth, earthy, but the
second is the Lord from Heaven.
Therefore it is a privilege for you to know your are living in this Dispensation wherein you are getting inspirations directly from the Divine Version of Heaven. And if for any cause the Person is not present, you can dial in on the Divine Version and you will get all of the information necessary. That is the great significance of the Coming of CHRIST and the sacrificing of that Immaculate Life, as being termed the life of man. Upon this foundation each and every individual can build. You will not have an occasion to falter nor fear; you can launch out into the deep, into the Ocean Divine, "out where the full tides flow." You need not fret nor worry, it matters not what may come or go; the Spirit of My Presence is just as operative with or without My Person. It is ever the same according to your faith in Him that Liveth forever within.
Then I say, dial in on the Principle. Refuse to allow anyone or anything to shake you in confidence. Give GOD Praises continually, for Praises will unlock any barred and shut door. It will give you Joy unspeakable, will keep you filled with the Spirit of Merriness, and the Spirit of Merriness in the heart and in the mind, will heal any complaint of any kind.
On such occasions, My attention is called to the great resurrection and to My Message that I have been giving from the earliest existence of your recognition of My Personal Presence. I have been stressing and telling you continually, I AM just as operative without My Personal Presence as I AM with it, and if I as a Person would choose to carry My Tabernacle, My Personal Bodily Form anywhere I please, you could hold fast to your faith and be unshaken in confidence. The Spirit of My Presence would operate and it would manifest every desirable blessing, the same as it does in My Personal Presence.
That is the purpose for which I came, sacrificing My Personal Bodily Form thirty-two times, to birth out the Spirit of My Mind and the Mind of My Spirit as the Fundamental, and not a personality nor an individuality. The Body called Jesus said,
'If I go not away the Comforter will not come";
but I have brought a Light of Understanding to you whereby I can be with you
and yet will not be looked upon as being a Personal protection, neither as a
Personal Blesser, for I do not lay My Hands on you, nor touch you.
That is the great mystery, and that is the great significance of this Mission, to know within yourselves, I need not touch you Personally, neither do anything to you Personally for you to receive a blessing. All you must needs do is to dial in on this Principle and live accordingly with or without My Personal Presence, and the Spirit will work effectively. I know there are mortal minds -- thousands of them -- would desire for ME to discontinue My Personal Tabernacle in which I AM now living; but I AM declaring unto all of the inhabitants of the earth, I will go forth conquering and to conquer effectively -- with or without it, I AM the Same.
That is the great mystery, and that is why I was willing to present My Body as a Person, as a Living Sacrifice, in years that are past and gone, to redeem mankind from their sins; for I know, if I would choose to throw off My Tabernacle, My Bodily Form, I could function just as effectively without any Body. It is Wonderful! GOD would not be GOD if HE was confined to a person or persons, in His version. GOD would not be GOD if HE was confined to a nationality, nation or country, as a person or persons. GOD would not be GOD if HE was confined to a country. GOD would not be GOD if HE were confined to a planet in His version.
Condescendingly HE came on the material plane, taking on a Bodily Form, humanly speaking, in the first Dispensation, the Dispensation of Jesus. The Bodily Form was called Jesus, yet it was GOD. But remember, GOD was not confined to the visible expression, neither the individual Person of Jesus. And yet that very Body that was called Jesus, was GOD. It was GOD from start to finish, but veiling Himself behind the veil of materialism, that man might observe the qualities of GOD inserted or injected therein. GOD expressed Himself in a Bodily Form, as being called Jesus, by His Characteristics. That is the way HE firstly came to men, by expressing Himself in His Divine Characteristics, as they may be termed; but it was GOD from beginning to end.
These thoughts are well worth considering. Live in this recognition. You will be dialing in on GOD'S Omniscience, and you will not look for human wisdom, for GOD'S Intelligence transcends all human imagination, it goes into infinitude. The highest and fondest imagination of the human race cannot even so much as touch the simplest thought of GOD'S Omniscience.
Oh, that man could but learn; oh, that man could but observe the great significance of living in this recognition and dying to the mortal version completely -- dying not only to their own individual mortal version, but dying to all of the mortal or human versions completely and living in this recognition now, henceforth and forever. It is such a privilege, dear ones. Stand up, stand up for your Savior. Where the majority of the people miss the substance and catch the shadow, they deny the Reality of CHRIST in His Majesty, and recognize the CHRIST only as Spirit, and not as reality in and on the material plane.
The majority of the truth teachers, and metaphysicians and psychologists and different religions of a higher light of understanding than the average, especially the sectarian religious movements, we find the majority of them -- they took CHRIST away from themselves and they dispossessed CHRIST from His rightful inheritance, and therefore they could not and cannot bring into materialization the limitless blessings; for they have denied the reality of the actual materialization of the great Creator. But I recognize the actuality and reality of the materialization of the great Creator; I can bring into materialization through the great Creative Forces of Nature, every good and desirable blessing on the material plane.
Yet we wear these expressions as loose garments. The garment of Praise and the garment of Thanksgiving and even the physical or material expression of the actual Spirit and Presence of GOD, I wear both it and them as a loose garment -- while yet I wear them, knowing within Myself, everything that is in the material world can be spiritualized, and everything that is in the Spiritual world can be materialized, GOD brings into materialization Spiritual things, and HE also brings into spiritualization and spiritualizes material things.
Now isn't that a wonderful place to be? Wearing the world and all of the visible expression of things as a loose garment, even your own body in which you are now living; knowing within yourselves, you are just as operative without the individual personal body in which you are now living, as you are with it. While yet, if you are true and faithful, as the last speaker said -- the testimony was true; if you live the life and do what CHRIST bids you do, you will not have to die nor pass from this life. But if for any cause there would be a question as to you continuing in these bodies, your consideration should be on reincarnation as essential for the spirit or mind that will not, and does not, go on to Perfection.
It has long since been said by the mouth of the people,
'This is the General Assembly of the Church of the First-born, where the spirits of just men are made Perfect.'
There were many just men died without being brought to perfection, without bringing
the spirit of themselves to fruition; hence it was essential for them to be reincarnated.
For this cause you are partakers of the gifts and talents and inspirations of
many. This is indeed the General Assembly of the Church of the First- born, where
the spirit and spirits of just men are made perfect. They are brought into subjection;
they are subject to GOD under this jurisdiction, being gathered by one's highest
intuition.
When the Intutor has control within you, you become to be the Temple of the Living GOD, and GOD dwells within you by you being governed by your highest intuition; you are bringing the spirits of just men that have been reincarnated in your systems, into subjection to the CHRIST Consciousness, where they were not obedient before. Reincarnation is not necessary for the true and the faithful. The person or persons that will go on to Perfection, and leave the theories and the doctrines of the CHRIST behind, they will not need to be reincarnated, for you will be able to remain in your bodily forms if you live according to the Gospel in all things.
It is such a privilege, dear ones! But as I say, live in this recognition, where you can be perfectly at ease and satisfied with or without the Personal Presence of My Tabernacle, My Bodily Form as being termed Temple, knowing within yourselves the Spirit of My Presence is sufficient. I AM not doing what I AM doing Personally, to get you to depend on ME as a Person. That would be lessening the Standard of My Calling, and the Mission for which I came. I want you to recognize this Ever Present Spirit of Life and Love; trust in it with or without a Bodily Form. Then if I would choose to go to Europe, Asia or Africa Personally, I could be with you here in America the same as I Am today.
That is the mystery, dear ones. It is for your highest good that you do not get your mind fixed on the visibilization of the Personal Presence, but recognize the Impersonal Life that is ever present, and you will not have an occasion to falter nor fear, if I AM present with you or if I disappear. This is your privilege, and as it is when I went on a little vacation a couple of years ago, it was stamped in your mind. I give you to know, it was not necessary to see ME Personally, for I AM here and I AM there.
The mortal mind of men desires to get you to see ME as a Person, so you can have an occasion to doubt. See? If perchance, for any cause, I would not be Personally Present, see, they would desire to have you to feel as if though you must needs call on them or some other man or woman. All that I AM doing with My Personal Presence I can do with My Impersonal Presence. My Personal absence is just as effective as My Personal Presence, with those that believe it.
Then I say, if you have faith, faith that is substantiated and unshaken in confidence, without the Personal Presence you will know within yourselves, these promises cannot fail. Stamp these thoughts down in your memories, and if I choose to go to Europe, Asia or Africa, or any other place as a Person, still I can be with you and I will work for you just as effectively as if I was Personally present. That is the great consolation, and that is your conscious conviction of the Actual Presence of the Majesty of the Almighty. You do not know Who I AM if you think I must present personally. If you know Who I AM, you can and will live the life the same at My Personal absence as you do or should do in My Personal Presence, and I will work for you just as effectively. It is Wonderful!
Upon this Foundation I AM establishing the Kingdom that is incorruptible, undefiled, and cannot fade away! This is a Principle, and not a person, but yet it is convertible into a person when it shall have taken Bodily Form, and the persons brought themselves into subjection. Then it will be personal. I send it out to you, and unto all of the Inhabitants of the Earth, as the Impersonal Life, expressed or unexpressed. When it shall have been conceived and brought to fruition in the individuals, the Principle that I AM advocating, the Principle that I AM broadcasting, will become to be personal.
A broadcast message over the national broadcasting stations, when you have a national hookup -- the message that you are sending out is invisible. You may fly out in the ether and come in contact with the wave lengths that are carrying these messages as they are broadcast; yet if you have no instrument -- mechanical instrument -- to dial in on them, to you they will still be invisible, and they will remain invisible until they shall have been visibilated by the visibilization of some mechanical instrument that can catch them and bring the sound out clearly to men. GOD is broadcasting Himself as Blessings, as Light, as Life, as Love, as Knowledge, as Understanding, and every desirable blessing imaginable, but remember, they may apparently be invisible. I stress them from an invisible point of view that you might observe the reality of them and not try to bind nor confine them to an individual; that they might become to be universally established in your consciousness and that you might know they are not confined to an individual but they are international.
For this cause I stress this Message particularly that you might build upon this Foundation, and when I AM supposed to be absent in Person from time to time, your faith will not shrink because of oppositions and criticisms, because of conflicts and because of adverse conditions. Anything I do, I do it well. I establish this Truth, and I establish it well, and nothing can root it up, nothing can prohibit it. If I would choose to carry this Tabernacle or this Bodily Form, as it may be termed, into realms unknown, still the Spirit of My Presence and the Presence of My Spirit will be your GOD, throughout all Eternity.
