MOTHER DIVINE
One of the many testimonies of healing that came forth at the great Banquet Table of FATHER DIVINE as expressed at 67 West 130th St., New York City, on September 8, was from a brother who came from the state of Maryland. He had been in a hospital in New York City for several weeks after failing down a coal chute and tearing his stomach. When he came from the hospital he was unable to stand upright, he said, and was confined to bed, but one of FATHER DIVINE's Followers had called' upon him where he was staying, telling him of what FATHER DIVINE had done for others. He I believed and was healed, so that he got out of bed and came to the Banquet Table. He said be was feeling perfectly well, except that he was weak, but be knew that would not last long now that he had contacted FATHER DIVINE.
FATHER responded with the following spontaneous song and remarks:
'If you live in this Light of MY Word,
You will be well and happy all the time;
You will not need to be disturbed,
I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor crying.
'I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor crying,
If you will live in the Light of MY Love
You will be happy all of the time.
I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor crying.
'I want no more sickness and no more pain,
All you have to do is to call on MY Name.
If you are faithful and if you are true,
I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor crying.
'No more sickness, neither pain nor'death,
All you have to do is to deny yourself.
Take up your cross and follow ME,
I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor crying. I want no more sickness, neither ill health,
All you have to do is to deny yourself.
Take up your cross and follow ME,
I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor crying.
'GOD'S in your joints, in your sinews and bones,
All you have to do is to obey HIS Word.
Just be true and you will not be disturbed,
I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor - crying.
'GOD is your FATHER, there is no other one,
All you have to do is do as others have done.
And be led by the Spirit of the LORD,
I want no more weeping, neither grieving nor crying.'
It is Wonderful! PEACE! Here you are and there I AM: in all mankind I came. Although
I AM hid from them, the mystery will be revealed. GOD is One and GOD is All.
In all mankind GOD lives, and in GOD all mankind lives, whether they are conscious
of it or not. It is a privilege to -know, through one's rightful contact, spontaneously
or instantaneously whichever, the Spirit of GOD will be transmitted to the individual
in the expression of healing, bringing about the desirable condition in the undesirable
places, or the places where the undesirable conditions were existing. It is not
anything that I do as a Person or Personally, but through your mental and your
spiritual contact, consciously or unconsciously, you do really contact something
that will reach every adverse and undesirable condition and will eradicate them.
It is indeed Wonderful.
It is nothing strange with us to bear of the different. individuals being abundantly healed physically. It comes through and by the mental contact. Making the mental contact transmits the very Spirit and the Life of GOD to the individual, and HE, in the Name of the Spirit and Life of GOD will reflect and manifest HIMSELF in them in the places of those undesirable conditions.
When a man is controlled by the spirit of weakness or by the expression, of weakness, he imputes himself to be weak. Whatsoever has control over your physical being, and if you are consciously influenced by that thought, you will bring your body into subjection to that expression. You will say you are that expression, naming yourself "weakness." Because the expression of weakness produces itself or manifests itself in your physical system, you will mentally endorse such a version and cause yourselves to be weak and weakly physically. It is indeed wonderful! Oh, that mankind will come to this place in consciousness, to realize, the thing you visualize you will tend to materialize and in MY Version, "physicalate" and bring it into physical bodily form; or in other words you become the personification, "personalating" that which you visualize. You become the very person of it.
If you can be these negative expressions, as weakness, when the Christ comes in your consciousness you will produce the spirit of strength therein, and then and there, from henceforth and now, you can say, "I am strong!"
'Strength in the place of weakness, Light where shadows fall, Health in the place of sickness, Life where death has gone.'
GOD is expressing and in reality manifesting HIMSELF in the place of every negative
condition. HE is expressing the positive one in the place of that negative condition
or expression. As light dispels darkness - as an open expression for your consideration
- so dispelleth the Spirit-of all. negation. The Spirit of Truth and the Spirit,
of GOD, through positive thinking will, dispel all negation; will dispel all
unprofitableness and all undesirableness that has been produced and brought into
your experiences by your negative thinking, by your negative actions and deeds.
The positive thinking and positive actions and deeds will dispel or eradicate
all such and will establish the positive conditions in your systems and in your
consciousness.
You say you are sick whensoever sickness, as a reflection, is imposed upon you, or in other words when you are reflecting sickness or diseases. You say it and you believe it, and you say you are it. Why not be the positive expression, as well as being the negative? You can find thousands and thousands of men all over the world.. they say, 'I am sick, I am weak, I am sorrowful, I am mad, I am bad, or he or she is bad.' Everything negative can have or has a resting place in the consciousness of the children of men and they will build upon those negative things and bring them into materialization, but the positive, the good, the perfect and the true, they will refuse to be. It is indeed Wonderful!
If you can be weak, why is it you cannot be something that is desirable? These are some of the 'imps.' They are not the real one himself (the d - v - 1) they are just his 'imps.' Through negative thinking he will bring about those negative conditions and negative tendencies, and will express them in your consciousness and manifest them upon and within your systems. If the negative conditions can be expressed in your systems (bring about the negative) why is it we cannot observe the positive to be just as operative as the -negative?
From henceforth we are strong, for in reality here you are and there I AM. It is indeed Wonderful! Truly might the Apostle have said on one occasion, ". . Jet the weak say, I am strong" -for in HIM that liveth forever, there is strength in weakness, and HE it is that is in you, the strength and the substance of your body and of your life. It is indeed Wonderful!
For this cause we can rejoice, because we can see wherein we have been creating for ourselves negation by negative thinking and negative words, unthoughtfully speaking them, thinking within ourselves ordinarily that we can be sick; imputing sickness -unto yourself and not only unto yourself, but calling yourself it. 'I am sick.' It is indeed Wonderful! Why not call yourself something else?- Sickness --is -invisible,--sorrow.- -is invisible, it has no body. Weakness has no body! Anger has no body! It has no body! What has it to do with you? There is no reality in it! It is~ indeed Wonderful! You cannot see iL If there is such a thing, it is only a thought and an expression and it is not visible; therefore it cannot be seen, neither can it be felt
With the right concept and recognition, those conditions cannot be expressed if you will not a].low them to have a place in your consciousness. They have no body! What have they to do with you? Every negative expression and every negative word has no body; it has no place to go unless you allow it to go some place.
Take these thoughts into consideration. Now if you do not, someone will. Those conditions and expressions that are made manifest in the physical bodies of the children of men, they have no space nor place, nor lot, nor part with ME. It is Indeed- Wonderful! How can they, when this is the Temple and these are the temples of the Living GOD, 'and GOD has said, I will walk in them and dwell in them'? How can those negative conditions lay claim on you unless you lay claim on them?
You cannot be sick for sick is something invisible - just as invisible as GOD is. You have been taught that GOD was invisible, have you not? And you believed it! But mankind continued to materialize every undesirable expression and lay claims on it and them, until they bad pretty well materialized that which is called the d - v - I and all of his imps - not only materializing that which was called the d - v - I and his imps, but materializing every expression of him from every angle, that which is termed the d - v - I in mortal consciousness. Do you not think it was quite time for the materialization of GOD to come into consideration?
Mankind has been materializing sickness, and it is invisible just like GOD is unless HE has a body or something to get in to make that body what HE is. When sickness gets on you, why then you are sick and that is a body of sickness, a body of disease. It is indeed Wonderful! Just think of it!'I know you never stopped to think of these things. Every undesirable expression of life, man has imputed it unto himself and has made it real by materializing it, making it become flesh, when it was written,
'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was GOD ... And the Word was made flesh. . .'
They have made every undesirable thing flesh -the d - v - I and every other d
- v - l-ish thing -and given both it and them bodies to universalize themselves,
and they have barred the CHRIST Consciousness, to prohibit the CHRIST from rising
in the flesh, to be brought into materialization for the redemption of mankind.
It is indeed Wonderful!
But we are glad to know here and now, from henceforth and forevermore, we can visualize and materialize positive things by positive thinking, instead of visualizing negative things by negative thinking. Every man that thinks he is sick, he wouldn't ordinarily shy he is God, but he will say, 'I am sick.' 'Sick' is invisible, just like GOD. Sickness may be on you or in you, but how can you be 'sick'? If you say a man is sick, why can't you say a man is GOD? If his next-door neighbor has GOD in him and GOD is controlling him, why then why can't you say that man is GOD as well as you can say the other is sick because 'sick' has influence over him and has him under control of that which is termed sickness? It is indeed Wonderful!
Then why not believe the positive conditions are just as operative for the material or physical system as the negative ones? These thoughts are well worth considering, and from henceforth, now and forever, you will be strong! GOD is your strength and as this young man was blessed through the contact by faith, to be delivered and healed, his strength can be and it is unto him, just the same. He can go ahead and do and be the same as he has been doing, so long as it is Evangelical and legitimate. The Spirit of GOD'S Power in you is sufficient. It has rooted out the undesirable condition and it has eradicated it and it has established the desirable condition in the place of the undesirable condition, and in the place of weakness GOD has sent forth strength by your recognition of HIS Presence.
