Allentown, Pennsylvania, with its midsummer appearance of flower decked streets, received FATHER DIVINE on July 27th, when the FATHER Personally, with His Staff, and many hundreds of Followers gathered at the Union Lodge Hall, 834 Linden Avenue, that City, to hold an all-day Meeting. As a result, it was truly added to the long list of cities and towns of FATHER DIVINE'S following, described by one writer as comprising "many miles in latitude and many miles in train."
None could refute, and none could doubt, the great array of testimonies that poured forth during the afternoon and evening from those who said they owed their lives, their health, their wealth, and their happiness to FATHER DIVINE Who reached out and saved them when none but GOD could help, and they claimed FATHER DIVINE as their GOD.
It was a day of jubilation, if it was possible for one day to be more jubilant than another to those so filled with joy; for there were Followers gathered together from the different parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, many of whom had not seen The FATHER in Person for some time, and they rejoiced to testify in His Personal Presence. There were those also from different parts of the world, particularly from the Pacific Coast, who had hiked or made their way across the Continent to attend these Meetings and to visit FATHER DIVINE in Person, though His Spirit had been with them and had done for them all they could ask, and more, in the West.
So the Meeting was a joyous one. During the latter part of the Afternoon Session, to the great delight of the audience,
FATHER arose to sing and speak as follows:
'All the way, all the way, all the way, all the way, I am going with my Savior all the way.
"I heard you say,
'all the way, all the way, all the way, all the way, I am going with my Savior all the way.'
PEACE EVERYONE! Here you are and there I AM, in this beautiful City, Allentown. We are always glad to see the many happy faces in each and every place -- in other words, in each and all of the places wheresoever we go. We usually carry with us happy souls. It is indeed Wonderful! Not only happy souls, but happy bodies, and not only happy ones, but we also carry those that are filled with joy and filled with Love that GOD has radiated from above, to the souls of the children of men.
For this cause I stand. Then I say, here I AM to withstand every consideration, endeavoring to bring to mankind universally, the conscious realization of the Actual Presence of GOD and the materialization of Himself. It is indeed Wonderful! That little composition that came forth for your consideration -- I spake after the manner of men -- I gave forth this thought from the heart of Mine to reach the heart of them. I drew it forth from the thoughts of their mind, and I have transmitted it back to them.
I heard you say, "I am going with my Savior all the way." It is indeed Wonderful! You continued to say, "I am going with my Savior all the way," from your earliest existence up until this present time, but after you began to "grow in Grace" and in Knowledge as it may be termed, "of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ," and drew "nearer and nearer, Blessed Lord," yea, to the "Precious Living Side of Life." It is indeed Wonderful! And you got so near until you found out GOD, your FATHER, as being termed your Savior, was not merely a Savior of the soul, but a Savior of your body, as being GOD, the FATHER of your spirit, of your mind and of your body. And that is why you say, "I am going with my FATHER all the way," because you have come to this conscious realization, that GOD is your FATHER and you never had another.
For this purpose I came, and for this cause you follow ME, not seeking a man nor a person, I hope, neither to see "a reed shaken by the wind," but a Principle that can transform your mind; this Principle that has truly saved millions from their sins. As a sample and as an example I came, and this to you I bring, is a sample and an example to show the people of this City or Town, just what GOD will do for them if they will bring their bodies into subjection to HIM and will make up their minds to live Evangelical, "laying aside every weight, and the sin that so easily besets them, running with patience, the race that is set before them." Sickness and sorrow, I say, they are disappearing here and now, even aforehand by the recognition of GOD'S Presence here and now in this land. It is indeed Wonderful!
Truly might have Jesus said to the woman that touched the hem of His garment,
'Your faith has made you whole.'
He did not say, "My Holiness has made you whole," but He did say,
'Your faith HAS made you WHOLE.'
Her faith in Him as though it was Him, saved and freed her from all of her sins
and made her physically pure and clean. It is indeed Wonderful! The same Spirit
is speaking today! ("Yes, FATHER, came a mighty shout from the audience.)
It is indeed Wonderful! It is free for you, it is free for every individual;
it is a broadcast message to the children of men; and this broadcast message,
this Fundamental Principle has been broadcast universally. It has gone forth
as the wind.
Truly might have Jesus, the great Love Master, have said,
'The wind bloweth where it listeth and you hear the sound thereof, but you cannot tell whence it cometh or whither it goeth -- so is everyone that is born of GOD'
-- the Principle that has been broadcast from Calvary's Cross, (It is Wonderful!)
coming all the way down through the ages that are past and gone, coming all the
way down to you, and to you this day I stand, conveying this Message of Love
to the children of men that it might save them from their sins and create within
them an upright heart and a new spirit; in other words, a new heart (It is Wonderful!)
and cause them to become new creatures. For they that are born of the flesh are
flesh and they that are born of the Spirit are Spirit.
Therefore, I AM advocating a Fundamental Principle to the children of men, although it has been materially put into effect. It is Wonderful! Still, it is Spirit; in other words, Spirit that is flesh materialized. It is Wonderful! The materialization of the Spirit, and the spiritualization of the flesh, that is what I desire mankind to realize. When you come to this conscious realization, all sickness and diseases, and chaotic conditions of the different descriptions will disappear into their nothingness from whence they came, and CHRIST in you will come uppermost in your consciousness and will rise on the throne of your mind. Then and there CHRIST will reign as LORD of Lords and KING of Kings. It is indeed Wonderful! When and wheresoever a King reigns, that is where His Kingdom is. Hence CHRIST will begin to reign King on the throne of your mind and over you and over all things that concern you.
CHRIST will be reigning and ruling, and then and there His Kingdom has come unto you, and your kingdom, which would be your home and your affairs, will be changed from Nature to Grace. It is indeed Wonderful! Your home, and all things that concern you, will be brought into subjection to the CHRIST Consciousness and CHRIST, on the throne of your mind will be ruling and controlling these things and judging you and your affairs and all things that concern you, with equity. Then and there the Kingdom of GOD has truly come unto you.
That is the way the Kingdom was to come -- not to look to see the Kingdom of Heaven coming down, as man had supposed.
'The Kingdom of Heaven cometh not with observation.'
Firstly, it cometh invisibly, in your mentality, and when He builds His Throne
in your mind -- transforms your mind and builds His Throne therein -- when and
wheresoever CHRIST begins to reign as LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, then and
there His Kingdom has truly come on earth in the midst of the children of men.
("So glad, FATHER!" was the shout from the people.) It is indeed Wonderful!
And wheresoever a righteous King reigns, it is always success and prosperity,
always the Abundance of the Fullness of all good things, and everybody is happy.
It is indeed wonderful!
That is why I indeed impregnate the air, the atmosphere, with the Spirit of the Consciousness of the Presence of GOD, and germinate the mind of man with the same, and they that think, they must think of HIM that liveth forever and forever -- thinking on such things, eventually they must recognize HIM, for HE will transform their minds and cause them to realize, HE it is within that has Power and Authority and all Dominion over them and over all things that concern them. The time has truly come, mankind must realize, GOD alone shall reign. It is indeed Wonderful!
But as in the case of the truth concerning mathematics, GOD is not confined nor bound to an individual person. It is Wonderful! GOD is a Principle that is convertible into a person, and will convert Himself into any and every person, as you try, or have tried to educate your children. It is indeed Wonderful! In our present day civilization, to prohibit your children from going to school and getting an education, it is a violation. It is indeed Wonderful! Why? Because GOD in this high light of civilization, humanly speaking, has condescended to impart to mankind, the great significance and the great essential of an education, humanly speaking. It is indeed Wonderful!
It matters not who you may be, if you are high or low, rich or poor, our present day civilization forbids you to prohibit your child from having an education. It is Wonderful! GOD Desires them to have an education, that they may learn mathematics for the common good of mankind; yea, for the uplift of the whole generation; yea, for the whole Race. Therefore, HE Condescended to impart this thought unto you, a broadcast message. It is indeed Wonderful!
Because some great man was educated years ago, that did not say that you could not be educated. It is your privilege also to be educated, and also to learn in accord with your education, mathematics. Such must also be included. One of the great essentials firstly to learn or study, arithmetic. It is indeed Wonderful! Why? So you can know how to figure the same as some other fellow. I came advocating this Principle, emphasizing this Principle, and I have it. ("We know YOU have it, FATHER," was the great exclamation.) It is Wonderful! But I came to let you know you have it too. It is Wonderful!
If you will do what I bid you do, stilling your conscious mentality, your preconceived ideas and opinions, casting out of your system all prejudices and all bigotry, resentment, anger, jealousy, races, creeds and colors, and everything that tends to separate you from another, GOD will express in you and will prove to the world conclusively, that you have this Principle too.
Thousands of men were educated in your early days. But there were many uneducated fifty or sixty years ago, more than there are today, for the law was not so strict to cause the people to force their children to go to school, and to send them to school, etc.. They were ignorant of the fact. When one is ignorant, that lowers the standard of living. It lowers the standard of our present day civilization, humanly speaking. And as it is scientifically, intellectually and socially, so it is religiously and spiritually. I came to let you know the great significance of having this fundamental Principle brought to fruition in your experiences, to lift up the standard in and on every plane, that you might always have the CHRIST in every issue of life to express for you as the fundamental Principle, and not you as a person. It is indeed Wonderful!
For this cause I came, bringing to you and all mankind this fundamental Principle. Although it is not a person, it is operative and it is reflect-able for you as much as it is for another. Tune in on this Principle! It is indeed Wonderful! You will not have an occasion to falter nor fear, you will not have an occasion to lack nor want, for CHRIST in you will do the same that He did in the body called Jesus.
For this cause I came, to bring to mankind the conscious realization of the reality of CHRIST your Savior. It is indeed Wonderful! It is not merely a supposition or imagination, but I came to let mankind know, this fundamental Principle that I AM advocating has been purified, made white and tried, as it may appear to be. It has been brought to fruition in the consciousness of the children of men as a sample and as an example for them.
Then I say, when you cast out of your systems all of those mortal tendencies that tend to separate you from your fellow brother and prohibit the Spirit from having an access in your temple, the very Spirit of GOD'S Presence will rise automatically in you and you will not have an occasion to look for the "descendance" of CHRIST on the cloud, but you will find Him very nigh. It is indeed Wonderful;
'As a Rock in the weary land, as a shelter in the time of a storm,'
as your strength in the time of weakness, and as your Light where shadows fall!
It is indeed Wonderful! As Intelligence, GOD'S Omniscience, where you were ignorant!
It is indeed Wonderful! As GOD'S Omnipotence expressed in you physically, where
you were weakly! It is indeed Wonderful! As being with you whithersoever you
go, being Omnipresent, having the victory in your consciousness, for "faith
is the victory that overcometh! This is the victory that overcometh the world,
even you faith!" It is indeed Wonderful!
Therefore I say, raise your consciousness to contact the CHRIST Consciousness, and you will stand abundantly free from all of your miseries, from sorrows, sighing, and all adversities, from lacks and wants and limitations, and GOD will express in you in the expression of His Abundance, and of the Fullness of all good things, as the Master of Omnipotency, and the Controller of all mankind's destiny. It is indeed Wonderful!
Then I say once again, for this cause and for this purpose I came, to convey this Message of Love as a continuous expression of Mine to the children of men, that they might recognize the Ever Presence of Him that giveth victory over sorrow, sighing and sin. Believing in the Message I have broadcast, the very Spirit of this Presence will re- create in your experiences, every good and desirable blessing, and will eradicate all undesirable conditions uppermost in your consciousness. GOD will begin to express in you as HE has done in others, and will heal of all of your sickness, afflictions and diseases, if you will believe and live thus accordingly. It is indeed Wonderful!
Truly might the Apostle have said,
'I will write them no more with pen and ink, nor on the tables of stone, but on the fleshly table of your heart by the Spirit of the Living GOD.'
You can see, Bibles and hymn books are closed up as far as we are concerned.
It is indeed Wonderful! For CHRIST is LORD and King over all circumstances and
over all conditions, whether you are learned or unlearned! Then and there, right
here and right now, verify I this unto you where it has long since been said,
'CHRIST is rich and all you need.'
To ME, CHRIST is rich and all you need (It is Wonderful!), having the Keys to
the Kingdom, GOD'S Mysteries and GOD'S Understanding, GOD'S Vocabulary that is
hid in man, and can go in and draw out things that are old and new, things that
are new to you but ever so old, and yet they are true. Why? Because they have
been implanted in the soil of the souls of mankind generally. They have been
hid, waiting for the stilling of the conscious mentality, for mankind to cease
from his physical and mental struggle so GOD Himself can speak and act. It is
indeed Wonderful!
Oh, that you, the inhabitants of the earth, would allow it to be true unto you, as I came to bring this Love as was from the beginning of the world:
'Out of one Blood GOD formed all the Nations.'
I came to bring you all back in one! Through the recognition of this Truth and
this Ever Presence, the very Spirit of the Consciousness of your great Creator,
will re-create in you the Spirit of His Presence and will give you the victory
over all of your adversities, if you will attune yourselves to the Fundamental
which I AM advocating -- as I afore said, to the Principle if not to the person!
Always observe the Principle! That is essential for you to do, and if you do, the very Spirit of this Presence will express in you as it is here, for I will be a Radiator to those of you that are here, and others that will so attune themselves to this Principle. The radiation of this truth will radiate through each and all, and it will not be another one to express. Then and there I can say as I have said and also have sung, here you are and there I AM; there I sit and here you stand! Wheresoever you go, there I AM, and here you are.
Then and there, as here and now with ME, what can the mortal mind or the world do to you? It is indeed Wonderful!
'Where there is union, there is strength.'
I have ten million souls, or spirits and minds in ME. It is Wonderful! And if
you will let ME be in you, then I AM you and you are ME, and each one of us will
always have the victory. It is Wonderful! You will be able to rise, you will
be able to shine, for your Light has truly come, and the Glo-ray of GOD has risen
upon us all. It is Wonderful!
'Therefore with joy let us draw water out of the Wells of Salvation.'
It is indeed Wonderful! The mighty glows of His Rays and the rays of His Glows (It is Wonderful!) have risen upon you, and with joy we all in one and one as all, can draw water out of the Wells of Salvation, and all can rejoice as one man at Jerusalem. It is Wonderful!
I say, I AM in ten million souls (It is Wonderful!) and ten million are in ME and I can live in them and have the victory over ALL sin and over all vice and over all crime. For this cause I got in them and transformed their minds and made them willing to walk in the footsteps of MINE and recognize their LORD and their King and accept of this Principle as the only Fundamental, and elect it as the LORD and yet as the King to reign over them. Now aren't you glad? It is indeed Wonderful!
This Truth shall continue to conquer, and to conquer with or without a body. It is immaterial, and yet it is materially manifested and brought into expression for the consideration of this People that they might come to the conscious realization of the Actual Presence of GOD, for without such, there would have been no real conviction. I thank you.
Now just sing right on; we will have recess a little later on. You know you all love ME so. It is indeed Wonderful! ("Yes, FATHER!" rang out as most of the audience sprang to their feet.) The Spirit of this Presence, and the Presence of this Spirit will be with you as you be with ME. There are many things I could have said, but time would not permit at this particular juncture. I will say more a little later, and in the mean time, as I afore said, we are not dismissing but I will apparently be vacating from here for a few minutes. I will APPEAR to be, but yet I will be right here. I will be in Allentown as I have been in other towns and more than I have been in many other towns. I thank you.
