FATHER and Mother DIVINE and Miss Peaceful Love,
At The Mount of the House of the Lord
Things of GOD that were hid from men since the world of time began, are unfolded every day by FATHER DIVINE as His children gather around the Banquet Table of their LORD. In many cities and towns this Banquet Table is spread, but the following Words were spoken at the New York City Home, known as the Kingdom. On May the twelfth as FATHER served, one was giving thanks and praise that she could do so many kinds of work; heart trouble, heretofore, had made impossible, before she personally met her FATHER. As she finished her remarks she sang the following song in which all joined with enthusiasm. "Let us rejoice, for the Day's just begun. If you will cease from sorrow, There will be no tomorrow. Let us rejoice, for the Day's just begun."
(Tune: "It took that Body to take us out of sin and shame.") At the conclusion of the song FATHER arose amid the usual storm of applause, and spoke as follows:
PEACE! Here It is once again, that which you claim, being made manifest in the midst of the children of men, revealing things of GOD that were hid!
The little song says,
'Let us rejoice, for the Day's just begun. If you will cease from sorrow, There will be no tomorrow.'
It is one Eternal Day when you cross the mental Mason and Dixon Line. As soon
as you have crossed this line, you have entered into one Eternal Day and there
will be no tomorrow; as soon as you cease from sorrow, the sorrow line that binds
you! On one side the great Kingdom of GOD, better known as the Kingdom of Heaven
is bounded by sorrow -- if it could be, according to the mortal version of the
human mind. On this side of sorrow there is no bound, but on the other side wherein
mankind must come through apparently, there are days of sorrow, there are days
of worry, there are days of discontent and unhappiness; but as soon as you cease
from sorrow there is no more sea, and there shall be no more sea. It is Wonderful!
I arose to say that, and to stress that point of view of what we all can do -- cease from sorrow, and then and there we have entered into this Day, the Day of Rest that did remain to the people of GOD, and there will be no tomorrow as soon as you completely cease from sorrow, and as I afore said, cross the Mason and Dixon Line; the mental line that binds you from this great access wherein I stand; it is a Wonderful Thought!
While one of the speakers was speaking, I thought within Myself and brought to consideration the great significance of Self-denial and Consecration; when the speaker said how they could work, how they can act, in the which heretofore it was in their consciousness, though that was only imagination in their consciousness, that they could not sweep the floor, they could not do anything because of that which was termed to be the heart trouble. It is Wonderful!
Now the Spirit says do exactly the opposite of what the mortal version of the human mind would do or would say. Do just exactly to the opposite, for if GOD is in you, and if GOD is doing the work through you and by you, and if GOD has healed you, now you can knock and kick like Jack Dempsey could in his day! It is just to the reverse! It is Wonderful! Going around giving in to the mortal versions of the human mind; the preconceived ideas and opinions of men concerning individuals' ailments and complaints, binding yourselves under such conditions by believing their teachings.
If you have what they call the heart trouble, you ought to take a race, a foot race, or play football; going to the opposite or contrary to what your mortal mind tells you to do. It has been a psychological truth known by the physical culturists. The physical culturists and psychologists will teach you the same to a certain extent. That was an inspiration that was given to them from a Higher Power than the mortal version of men. It has been revealed when and where there seems to be a weakness, you will gain strength through exercises. Exercise whatsoever it may be, even if you do not believe in ME. If you think your eyes are weak, then exercise your sight and through practice and activeness or service, they will grow strong even humanly speaking.
A child when he first begins to walk he cannot walk very much, can he? He walks a few steps and he will fall, will he not? Now that is a natural truth. So consider these thoughts and just go to the opposite, and when you see a person talking about they are weak, if you are weak then I AM Strong! It is Wonderful! The more you do, the more you can do. It is something like an automobile or any other machine or motor. When it is running it develops power, see? It may be thirty-five horsepower but develops seventy-five horsepower or something like that. It develops as it runs. The more you do, the more you can do. That is from a physical point of view and the Spiritual is greater for it is the Real expression and unfoldment of GOD to His people. Take these thoughts into consideration and as in the case of this speaker, so will it be with you. If you think you are weak or weaker even than the speaker there -- you are strong. If you are weak, then GOD is Strong for you, for man's extremity is GOD'S Opportunity, and that is a common phrase, a common saying you all have heard, and that you actually know.
It is good for you to be weak in your own selves. It is good for you to be a failure in your own selves, for when you Fall, then GOD will be a Success. Now these are Truths that you can plainly see and verify by your pre-experience in some things. You have, and you can, and you will see the time that you in yourself will fail, as a person, as an individual, and then and there GOD will step in and take care of things. It is Wonderful!
I came in this appearance to convey this Message unto you and to make it plain to you and to all mankind the Reality of the nothingness of matter and the Allness of GOD! For this cause and for this purpose I came in the likeness of the most insignificant among the children of men, to express and manifest the great significance of the Omniscience and Omnipotence of HIM and prove to the world in reality, the LORD is LORD of Lords and KING of Kings in the most insignificant of that which stands in the midst of men!
If I would have appeared to you, telling you and showing you of some greatness of Myself according to the flesh, humanly speaking, after the similitude of men, some great family tree, telling you of My pedigree -- then and there I could not express the Omnipotence and Omniscience of GOD, for it would be given to them; it would be given to the ancestors, the family tree and My pedigree and it would not be given to HIM to Whom it is due. For this purpose and for this cause came I unto you in the likeness of the least, and being the least among men as far as the mortal version is concerned. In that you can see the Reality of GOD and the nothingness of man and of matter. I AM glad that I refused to bear record of Myself after the manner of the flesh, that you might see the Reality of the unfoldment of the CHRIST, the Real Fundamental Principle, the Ideal of Life. It is Wonderful!
If I would have -- even regardless of My Personal appearance -- if I would have even so much as come to you with the least degree of expression for your consideration, it would have been veiling the great significance of GOD'S Presence. It would have been veiling it in the least expression. I say the least expression! If I would have come to you claiming even so much as the least expression from the mortal version of the human mind, giving praises, thanks and honor to any limited degree from a mortal point of view, I could not show you the Allness of GOD!
Do you not see the great significance of this that I have done and AM doing -- that I might show you the great significance of the Great I AM, and the Omnipotence of His Ever Presence? In that you can see the Reality of GOD'S Presence when there is nothing brought into expression as being a leader, or as being a tutor, or as being an instructor, or as being a guide, or as being a protection. Then and there you cannot X-rayly behold the CHRIST, but you have declared the materialization of the CHRIST being brought unto you because HE Himself, is manifested in the flesh! It could have been otherwise for there would have been some veil, but for your consideration and for your salvation I have stressed the point of view of X-rayly beholding the CHRIST wheresoever you be, and in each and every person, that you may not miss visualizing the Perfect Picture.
When Peter was on the Mount of Transfiguration there were many versions he brought to CHRIST for consideration; what this one said and what that one said. They were revealing the theories of Him through the theories of the Disciples, as being John the Baptist's Disciples.
'Some say you are Moses, some say you are Elijah.'
Through the different theories of the teachings of men he brought forth their
versions to Him, but what said the CHRIST lastly?
'Whom say YOU, that I AM?'
When this version came forth, it came forth not by the theories and doctrines
of men, but it came forth by a revelation within as an inspiration to himself
and to them, saying,
'I say, THOU art the CHRIST, the Son of the Living GOD.'
'Flesh and blood did not reveal this unto you Peter.'
. . . your preconceived ideas and opinions that came through the theories and
doctrines of men. That what you learned was merely the revelations or inspirations
from the flesh coming from your tutors, but flesh and blood has not revealed
this last version to you but,
'My Father which is in Heaven.'
In My Version, in this last time I could say, as you can bear it, to you it is
in you. Do you not see that birth that was essential for Nicodemus -- to be born
of that new birth? No more born of the theories and doctrines of men, their philosophies
and their versions concerning things. No more going to learn of GOD through the
seminaries and colleges that had been established, for you have been born of
those things, Nicodemus, and that is flesh in short. You have been born of the
seminaries of the Earth and of all the theories and doctrines of men. From a
Biblical point of view that is merely the flesh. "That which is born of
the flesh, Nicodemus, is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.
Marvel not that I say unto you, you must be born again,"
Having been born of the mortal versions of the human mind, or his fore-ancestors and their teachings, and the traditions of the Elders, he was born of them, but that was the flesh, in the CHRIST'S version, and CHRIST said to him:
'Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.'
Now this is a psychological Truth that you will see, if you do not see it now.
The time will come when you will see, and know as you are known, and then and
there as here and now with ME, you will not walk alone. It is Wonderful!
We can rejoice and be glad to see the unfoldment of these Truths brought into expression for each and everyone of you, that you might enjoy the Ever Presence of GOD and the Reality of the Highest Blessing that cometh by Inspiration of your FATHER within, and not from the mortal versions of the human mind, such being the theories and doctrines of men. I thank you!
