FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE
In the ordinary language of the layman, that not one could miss the full understanding of the mysteries of life, our loving Savior not only daily, but many times daily, speaks to the masses that are drawn to His beautiful Personal Tabernacle, FATHER DIVINE, to drink of the living waters.
In Bridgeport, where the daily Communion Banquets are held as in thousands of cities throughout the world, our LORD Personally presided and served on this day, and blessed the assembly to several Messages of Divine Wisdom from the Fount of His Infinite Omniscience.
The importance of openly confessing to GOD one's sin and transgressions, thereby cancellating one's self completely, that GOD only may be seen and heard, was the first point touched upon in this mighty Lecture. The first Commandment of GOD through Moses was also brought to consideration, and the conclusion of the Message is left as a surprise blessing for its readers.
Precious, Holy Redeemer, we thank THEE!

PEACE EVERYONE! Here we all again. I speak as unto the children of men, and yet the Children of GOD I claim!
I heard one saying a little while ago, confession was something she did not like to do at one time. It is true, he who commits a crime does not like to expose himself as a criminal. He does not like to expose himself as a criminal before GOD nor before man but as I have declared:
'An open confession is good for the soul.'
And again I have declared:
'He who confesses his sins and forsakes them shall have mercy, but he whoso covers them shall not prosper.'
The most wicked person of expression in evidence, according to testimony, the
ones who have been most wicked in sin and in vices and in crime, when they confess
and forsake their sins, they are the ones who can get in close touch with GOD.
This is scientific and Biblically it is true -- that is, if you stop to consider
the mystery, the Work and the Mission of Jesus. For did He not say in the Sonship
Degree:
'I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.'
There are those who have made testimonies of the most wicked sins and vices of
every kind -- they are the ones who made their contact with GOD from a psychological,
from a spiritual and from a mental point of view, according to the Gospel, as
I afore said. Man was to be presented as a living sacrifice to GOD; his sins
and his iniquities should be forsaken and his sins and iniquities I will remember
no more.
When those sins you have committed shall have been confessed, when you shall have forsaken all of your iniquities and transgressions, you have made up your mind to present your body as a living sacrifice to GOD. Hence, the request and the Mission of Jesus is fulfilled. The request is fulfilled and the Mission is fulfilled when CHRIST came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
When you confess and forsake by repenting firstly of all your wrong doings and come boldly to the Throne of Grace and make a confession of those things you have done, there and then you have come to your extremity and GOD has an opportunity for expression; but GOD cannot express effectively so long as you have not made your confession, for you are justifying yourself in the sight of the Almighty if you have not lowrated yourself to the lowest terms by confession and cancellation.
By working cancellation on yourself as an individual, you cancellate yourself completely in the consideration of yourself and in the consideration of the people. Then GOD alone can have an opportunity and not until then. That is the mystery. Why is it that I have blessed some so abundantly? It is because of the nothingness of matter they declared in their testimonies. By lowration they lowrated themselves to the lowest degree of unfoldment; by a mental and a spiritual working of cancellation on themselves, they cancellated themselves to the lowest terms, of cancellation. By this GOD had a chance for expression, therefore the confession was the way to salvation. Can you not see the mystery?
Your confession of your sins and iniquities and your nothingness will give GOD an opportunity, when you shall have confessed all of your wrong doings and disgraced or lowrated yourself to the lowest terms; for then and there GOD will have a chance to come in and be represented and recommended, and recommend you as an individual who has been emancipated and freed completely from all undesirable conditions. But so long as you can hold the slightest thought in the minds of the people, the public, or in other individuals, of your goodness, of your truth, without GOD as an Impersonal Presence or as a Personal Presence, it is a matter of impossibility for GOD to express in you, through you and by you effectively, for you must come to your extremity before GOD can have an opportunity for expression. That is the mystery.
Now, this is the reason for so many of My true and faithful followers who have brought themselves to their destination by confession and by forsaking their sins and iniquities and their exaltation, for the privilege of being exalted, honored and blessed abundantly. See the mystery? For so long as you have evidence of being good, of being kind, of being righteous, of being modest, of being of the desirable attributes or characteristics as should be expressed within you, if you have the honor of being any of those things without ME, then what need is it for ME to be there in expression, when you have the evidence without ME? That is the mystery.
Hence, it is a blessing when you are lowrated, disgraced and disrecognized and worked cancellation on to its lowest terms; yea, the very lowest term of cancellation -- that you might be completely eradicated, dispelled and done away with once and forever. Then and only then can GOD have a chance for expression as far as you are concerned; and when this is done, GOD will come in and will express in your place, for you shall have brought yourself to your destination.
Someone will have to fill your space, someone will have to fill your place; but if you have brought yourself to your destination unwillingly and selfishly and self-exaltingly, you cannot get a reward from the Almighty; hence another may express in your place. But it will not be to your honor, neither to your praise! You will not get the credit for another expressing in your place, when you through violation of the Spirit, shall have brought yourself to your destination. By self-exaltation and self-honor, self- aggrandizement and other selfish tendencies, why, naturally you will come to your destination -- you will come to your extremity and GOD will have an opportunity for expressing or for expression anyhow; but it will not be advantageous to you, it will be detrimental to you as an individual.
Whilst on the other hand, if you make a complete self-denial by confession and working cancellation on yourself and all selfishness completely for righteousness' sake, GOD in you will be an expression to your credit, to your honor and to your advancement in HIM Who liveth forever and ever.
There are plenty of individuals who have come to their destination unwillingly through self-exaltation, through self-aggrandizement. By their bringing themselves to their destination unwillingly, through seeking to honor themselves, through to seeking to exalt themselves, another may be the reincarnator of that particular expression, that person or that individual. Another may be the reincarnator of him, but it will not profit the individual who has brought himself or herself to their destination unwillingly. Can you not see the mystery?
But when you bring yourself to your destination willingly by working cancellation on yourself as an individual righteously, why, naturally you are blessed abundantly and GOD has an opportunity for expression, and GOD will express in you. That is the mystery. And you will see the great unfoldment as has been the experience of many. The more extremiated individuals are as persons, the more of an opportunity GOD has for expression. Can you not see the mystery? And GOD will express accurately and volitionally and willingly, when you shall have come to your extremity and shall have come to your destination completely. That is the mystery.
Hence, it is a privilege to see and know what it means to confess, to lowrate yourself. For as long as you are rated from any angle expressible as an individual, it is a matter of impossibility for GOD to be rated in His entirety, as being all and in all from every angle expressible. Can you not see the mystery?
You are not giving GOD all of the glory, neither all of the honor, so long as you have any in evidence or in consideration of yourself as a person, and especially when you hold it back through self-exaltation and through self-honor, through self-praise in the act to remain honorable and someone to be considered as a person. Can you not see the mystery?
Therefore, as lowrated as a lowrated person can be, would be the advancement of the unfoldment of the CHRIST in you. It is essential for your advancement and for your benefit for you to come to your extremity completely by exposition, by exposing yourself of all of your sins and iniquities. That is the mystery.
When this is done, you are denying the reality of yourself as a person; but so long as you recognize or realize or consider yourself in words, deeds or actions as a person, instead of working cancellation on yourself, you are robbing GOD to Whom all honor belongs. For what said the Apostle concerning the mystery?
'CHRIST is all and in all, and GOD shall be all and in all.'
If GOD is all in your consideration, what do you care about bringing yourself
to your destination? What do you care about being lowrated to the lowest degree
of "rations," that GOD might be rated supremely as the Supreme, and
cause you to express the Spirit of Supremacy by being one with HIM? Can you not
see the mystery?
When you shall have brought yourself to your extremity, GOD having an opportunity for expression, when GOD expresses effectively and you are nothing as a person personally, why, naturally you have a chance for advancement in the unfoldment in the Kingdom of Heaven, and GOD can bless you abundantly when you shall have come to your extremity. But so long as you have a desire to hide any undesirable expression experienced, or disposition of your own as a person, that you might be looked upon by any other individual, by GOD or by angels or by men, you are robbing yourself, as being termed in My illustration and in My consideration, as robbing GOD of His access and expression; therefore you are automatically robbing yourself of His blessings. Can you not see the mystery?
Just look and behold: through persecution, through prosecution, through trials and tribulations, through all of the oppositions of the opposers in your past experience and in the experience of those of whom I have told you, you can see that I have been cancellated and worked cancellation on, disgraced and molested to the lowest degrees of expression from every angle expressible as a Person, that I might be in evidence in expression from a majestic point of view, as GOD is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent, being the only ONE in evidence or in consideration.
Then I say, copy after the fashion I have shown you. Had I not come extremiated, it would have been essential for ME to have extremiated MYSELF as an individual, that GOD might have an opportunity from His -- GOD'S -- Degree of expression for expression. That is the mystery.
Intellectually, socially, morally, politically, legally and from all of the diverse angles of expression, GOD through His condescension in Love and Mercy came as the most insignificant among them -- extremiated among them! Had I not come in that degree of unfoldment, I would have long since extremiated MYSELF, that I might be completely out of the picture as a Person, that GOD might have a chance for expression. That is the mystery.
Now, it is detrimental for you as a person, to your very physical feeling, to your very physical enjoyment, to be in evidence as a person as being something. The more your work cancellation on yourself, as I say, the more evidence of GOD will be seen in you, where your destination shall have come forth into expression.
'Man's extremity is GOD'S opportunity.'
I cannot stress this thought too vividly, for all of the peoples of the earth
universally should consider it. When they go about to seek honor, to seek praise
for themselves, to seek love, to seek devotion, to seek the minds and the attention
of others, they do not know they are robbing themselves of their rightful inheritance
-- GOD -- which would come in in them and in their actions, and take full possession,
and they would be happy, oh so happy! That is the mystery. >
Take these thoughts to consideration and build upon this foundation continually, working cancellation on yourself to its lowest terms until you shall have cancellated yourself and all of your memory of yourself as a person, that you might not be reckoned nor slightly considered individually; then GOD will be an expression within you and will work infinitely supremely.
We often speak of the Spirit of Supremacy. The Spirit of Supremacy cannot be in evidence and put forth into expression effectively until you, as an individual, shall have allowed the Spirit of Independence to be developed within you, independent to yourself as a person, independent to your background as a person, independent to all of your "gees" or degrees, whichever, and your pedigrees, if you are an animal.
Bring all of your pedigrees to their destination and bundle them up in the rubbish pile and burn them in the fire, for they are nothing in the sight of the Almighty GOD. Then GOD will have an opportunity for expression and will come in the place of them and give you beauty for ashes and the Spirit of Joy for the spirit of heaviness. That is the mystery.
But you will not have ashes until you burn them! You should burn up all of your rubbish! That is the mystery. All that was great of you, your "grees" and degrees and your animalistic pedigrees and all of the brands of your honorary degrees you have received, gather them together and put them in the rubbish and burn them -- then you will have some ashes to give GOD!
Then GOD will give you beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness, for those things were all burdens for you. What said Solomon concerning the mystery?
'It is all vanity and vexation of the spirit.'
Unless you rise to a place in consciousness where you cannot be any more, where
you can no longer be in reality, things of the earth of which you have so long
desired and mortality continues to still desire, they are all vanity and vexation
of the spirit, according to the wisdom of GOD transmitted and spoken through
Solomon as an individual. How glorious to see the mystery and to live in such
recognition.
Now then, in reference to one of the speakers saying, had I not brought them -- first I wish to stress this for your consideration: I did not bring them and I AM not bringing them! You were welcome to come as far as I was concerned, but I did not Personally bring you. I did not tell you to come and I did not tell you to go. You know the situation as an individual. You are welcome as far as I AM concerned, the same as anybody else. So if you and the arrangements of yourself and your own affairs are so arranged and make it convenient to you to come or be at any time in our assemblies, you are welcome to do so.
Now, I did not express anger to you -- had not thought of it; although I may have reflected it; but I say as I have often said concerning others, some others I have come in contact in past time: I AM not angry every time I look ugly. So these thoughts are well worth considering.
Then I say, get that thought out of you to feel as if though I AM angry with you. Of course, it is true I did say in My Message the other day, those who love self and make unto themselves any idols, they hate GOD consciously or unconsciously; for this was the cause for which GOD spoke through the mouth of Moses saying:
'Thou shalt not make unto thyself any graven image in the likeness of anything that is in the heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the waters under the earth;
for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, (you see) visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children from the third to the fourth generation of them that hate me . . .'
I just brought it out in a scientific, Biblical way by interpretation that cannot
be refuted, neither disputed by any educator, that those that make unto themselves
graven images in the likeness of anything that is in the heaven above or anything
that is in the earth beneath, they hate ME! Because I said by interpretation
in bringing it out distinctly with words that could not be misunderstood, when
I said,
'I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children from the third to the fourth generation of them that hate me,'
It has shown in the first clause of that particular Commandment, that those who
make unto themselves any graven image in the likeness of GOD HIMSELF in heaven
or in the likeness of any other individual, they hate ME!
Then I say, sympathetically and in Mercy -- I should say in Mercy and sympathetically, or congenially, I could say -- they may hate ME and be unconscious of it. Then I say, you all should know whether you love anything else and make unto yourself any graven image in the likenesses of anything that is in the heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water beneath the earth. You know whether you do or not! Then if you do and you do not know, you hate ME unconsciously. That is the mystery.
But I did not speak of any special individual. That is what I AM speaking about. It is plain to see it. Of course, I know the preachers -- how could they say it when they did not have the Spirit, when they had not been born out of the Adamic state of consciousness, when the Spirit itself said by composition:
'God is his own interpreter and he will make things plain.'
How can they get the interpretation of it when they have never been acquainted
with GOD'S Spirit, much less than being one with the Creator, the real Interpreter?
Therefore I AM giving the real interpretation of that Commandment.
Then the statement saying,
'I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children from the third to the fourth generation of them that hate me.'
Can you not see, undoubtedly they hate ME? Without a reasonable doubt, they hate
ME, and even without an unreasonable doubt, according to the Scripture, they
hate ME, if they make unto themselves any graven images in the likeness of GOD
HIMSELF in heaven here on earth here where I AM, or anything that is on the earth
beneath GOD'S Stand, or anything that is in the water underneath the Stand of
the earth wherein the earth stands!
Then they hate ME consciously or unconsciously. But, of course, the majority of them hate ME unconsciously, until they get angry. Then, when that something rises up in them to find fault with ME, why, then they hate ME consciously and they are openly resentful. That is the mystery. Until I do or say something that does not please them, in opposition to their personal fancies, pleasures or feeling, why, they may keep that hate lying dormant within them; but when I say something to arouse that internal sense of feeling and cause that individual or individuals to feel in opposition to ME, and feel that I AM in opposition to them, then and only then can they actually know they hate ME. That is the mystery. But I AM visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children from the third to the fourth generation of them that hate ME, for they make unto themselves graven images in the likeness of GOD even.
As I said, they may say, "Well, FATHER is in that sister," (or that brother) "and really it is nothing but FATHER in them." But what said I concerning the mystery, and this is recorded by Moses? When you hear them say, "Oh, Mr. Moses," they are talking about what Moses said GOD said. Moses said that I said:
'I AM the LORD thy God, am a jealous God,'
and of course I believe what the records say. If I do not bear record of it or
apparently remember, I did not say it, they are bearing record for ME. Moses
at that time was a recorder, even as these present stenographers are the recorders
and transcribers.
Moses recorded the Message I gave them and he said it on his own record, therefore I believe him. That is why at times I may feel jealous. I believe he said it and I have to feel like that until you convert ME out of it. If you convert ME out of that belief that Moses told the truth -- I do not bear record of not saying it -- therefore, if I cannot show you I did not say it, and if he said I said it by the records he has given, I have to believe him. Can you not see the mystery?
But I have long time been talking jokingly, trying to get it into the followers and the hearers, those who were close to ME apparently, by jokingly saying what Moses said, and I might be jealous. It meant it must be, because he said it, and I have said it jokingly from time to time, that I might jokingly inculcate and reincarnate My Message in you, as said in the composition, the song we just sang;
'Sing them over again to me, Wonderful Words of Life!'
Then I speak to each and every individual according to the dictates of his or
her conscience. I may say to you at times jokingly, I may say, "I may be
jealous." If you say I AM jealous, if you go ahead and start being so fresh
with men or women or brothers or sisters, or anything of that sort, I say, "I
may be jealous. You know Moses said it." Well, I may say it in that way
to get it over to you, speaking in your own language and in your own sense of
feeling, that I might reach the mental condition of you as an individual. I speak
and act according to the actuated languages of the people individually, severally
and collectively, and they speak in diverse languages. That is the mystery.
But I do feel at times, maybe Moses was telling the truth, because when Mr. Lamb and all of them have one record I said this or that or the other, then when we proof-read it, why, if I do not bear record of actually not saying it, I say, "I must have said it." So Moses said; now we are proof-reading what Moses said and rehearsing what Moses said as the Commandment, one of the first Commandments of the ten. I believe what he said because I do not bear record of actually not saying it.
Then I have to go by what he said -- and I do not believe there is anyone else who does actually bear record of I not saying it. If they were up there on the mountain talking with Moses and can bear record that I did not say that, I said something else, why then, they must bring it forth -- but we have to go by what Moses said. Can you not see the mystery?
Now, quite often we go up in the Catskill Mountains and they talk with ME up there and I talk with them, and the recorders, the stenographers, they catch My Message and all of My Words of Life as I speak them. If I do not bear record of not saying those things they say I said, if they are recorded and transcribed by them, I have them published according to the record the stenographer recorders are giving. That is the mystery.
I have long since been talking on the first Commandment. You know I have been saying it all along and trying to get it into you jokingly and socially by correspondingly speaking on the subject of the jealousy of GOD, jealous of those who do not love HIM and keep His Commandments. As I have often explained, how Mother is very jealous -- she is jealous of everyone who does not love ME even as she loves ME, because she says everyone on earth, men and women, should love ME just as she loves ME, whatsoever way that is. And if they do not, and if she feels that they do not love ME just as she loves ME, why, she is jealous of such individuals, because that is the Spirit, the Nature and the Characteristics of your Savior. GOD is Jealous of the ones who will not love HIM and keep His Commandments! That is the mystery.
Then I say, remember, if they make unto themselves any graven image in the likeness of anything that is in heaven above -- I mean in the likeness of GOD, in the likeness of the angels or in the likeness of anything up there, wheresoever heaven is, if you make any graven image in the likeness of anything, "I, the LORD your God am a jealous God," said Moses, and I believe what he said.
'I am visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children from the third to the fourth generation of them that hate me.'
Then to prove this was exactly and still is the interpretation, Jesus said plainly:
'Ye cannot serve two masters.'
You must love one and hate the other! Or, hold fast to one and despise the other!
Therefore, it is plain to see you cannot love GOD and love another. Can you not
see the mystery?
If you love another, you hate GOD automatically, even though you may hate HIM unconsciously until HE says something or does something to stir up your mind and ruffle your feathers. Plenty of them really may think they love GOD, and love others, hating GOD all the time; but unconscious of it. Can you not see the mystery? Hating GOD all the time, but unconscious of it; but just waiting for GOD to do something to ruffle your feathers to stir up that mind in you and that hatred and that prejudice that are lying dormant and have not been awakened until HE does something contrary to you as a person.
Regular GOD-haters! Every mortal mind is a GOD-hater, even if they do not know it! The only way to love GOD is to get rid of the mortal mind, for the mortal mind is a GOD-hater. You know how you feel sometimes, some of you -- it is so pronounced in you, others can see it! Really it is! You know it is! Some it is so pronounced in, because they hate GOD so pronouncedly it is pronounceable by almost any person. It does not take a character reader to read the characteristics of some individuals, because you can actually see the hate they have for GOD. Others can actually see it!
But in some it does not express itself so legibly. It is not so legibly exposed in some; but yet it is the same hate. But as long as it lies dormant it is not detrimental as much as it is when it is expressive and reflective and manifestive in the individual. "FATHER, I love YOU! I love YOU!" GOD knows whether you love HIM or not! It is wonderful!
The only way to love GOD is to get rid of mortality and the mortal's version, for the mortal's version hates GOD. The flesh is enmity against GOD! They are enemies to each other -- they are contrary. The only reason they are held in check and do not destroy each other -- I mean the flesh does not destroy GOD and GOD does not destroy the flesh immediately -- is because there is a Law between them as a Mediator. Can you not see the mystery? As a Propitiator to hold them in check and in mercy through GOD'S Love and Compassion, GOD is held by His tender Love and Mercy to prohibit HIMSELF from destroying you. And the Law of the Spirit of Life that is CHRIST JESUS, as a Mediator, will keep you as individuals filled with mortality, from destroying the Almighty.
You know you would do it, if you could! That Mediator, which is the Law of the Spirit of Life that is in CHRIST JESUS, saves you from destroying GOD or His Own Tabernacle and His Own Inheritance, because the Mediator stands as a Mediator between GOD and man and keeps them from running in collision and destroying each other if they can.
Have you not seen those who are in mortal consciousness, the same as the man who came here the other day, who said he was going to break the place up? He is mad! He wants to destroy GOD! But I AM the Mediator when I express MYSELF from that angle of expression; therefore he cannot reach ME, neither can he reach the true and the faithful. Then I keep him from running in collision with ME immediately, because I might destroy him. Can you not see the mystery? It works vice versa. These thoughts are well worth considering.
You all should consider the mystery and live exactly according to My Message.
'I am showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.'
Thousands are not the limit now, but in the language of Moses in those days I
could speak only on term of thousands, for he could not go up into the decillions
of decillions of decillions as we can of today. Can you not see mystery?
I could not even say to Moses at that time, ". . . showing mercy unto millions of them," because mathematically speaking he could not mathematically count up into the millions, according to information I AM giving. But as you have advanced in this advanced spiritual civilization, you can go from thousands to millions and from millions to billions and from billions to trillions and from trillions to quadrillions and from quadrillions to quintillions and from quintillions to sextillions and from sextillions to septillions and from septillions to octillions and from octillions to duo- decillions and from duo-decillions to decillions and from decillions to decillions times decillions times decillions; and then even to this present advanced civilization mathematically, a man does not know what decillions times decillions times decillions really are.
But we can go up to decillions and then we multiply decillions times decillions times decillions and then multiply decillions times that and you not know what it is. So Moses said in his language as recorded -- GOD was speaking according to the language and the advanced Light of civilization as was in Moses' time, according to mathematics at that time -- as I afore said, I spoke to Moses and said,
'I am showing mercy to thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.'
Moses could not see further, therefore, GOD in all His Omniscience could only
speak to Moses accordingly. Can you not see the mystery?
Then I say, build upon this foundation and as civilization advances scientifically, intellectually, mathematically and otherwise, I will teach you wisdom transcending your fondest imagination, for it goes into infinitude, the end you cannot vision. Even the mathematicians of our present civilization, they cannot even enumerate through enumeration the slightest percent of a fraction of a grain of a percent of a fraction of a percent of a grain of a percent of a fraction of a grain of the mystery of all of GOD'S Love and Mercy to all of His Creation universally and infinitely. I thank you.
