MOTHER DIVINE
After reading some beautiful excerpts of FATHER'S Words to us a little earlier in the service, our beloved MOTHER arose at this time to give us these significant thoughts for our further consideration, which are indeed well worth remembering and thinking of as we go about our daily activities, traveling up this Highway of Holiness! MOTHER speaks as follows:
Peace FATHER Dear, Peace Everyone: I just wanted to rise on My feet to thank FATHER for what HE has done for us to enable us to forget about ourselves.
When I think of or compare the way we live with the way mortality lives, FATHER has done so much to enable us to forget about ourselves! It says in the Sermon on the Mount:
'Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" (Matthew 6:25)
And think how FATHER has provided this way of life for us that we do not have
to take thought like people who are living in mortality and self and selfishness;
you know, that is something to Praise GOD for! ("Yes, so true, MOTHER Dear!" came
the reply from the assembly.)
And I was thinking today how the Peace Mission is to us, when we are endeavoring to bring the CHRIST to fruition, as the shell is to the egg. FATHER has, you would say, organized or established the Peace Mission with rules and regulations designed to enable us to bring forth the CHRIST to fruition. It cannot be compared with other organizations. That's its Purpose is to give us the right environment to allow the CHRIST to develop and come to fruition within us! And I just thank YOU, FATHER Dear, for hovering us and sheltering us while we are developing or giving birth to the CHRIST.
It is so wonderful FATHER! YOU have made the way so possible for us! You know, if we were out in mortality, having to struggle for an existence as people are, we wouldn't be able to get our minds off of ourselves to the extent that FATHER has made the way for us in the Peace Mission. It is something to Praise GOD for! It is something to appreciate and it is something to uphold the Peace Mission and all that it stands for, because this, only GOD could have prepared! It is just like a nest for us, to feel hovered and warm and at home and free to express according to our highest intuition! Isn't it wonderful? ("Yes, yes!" came the prompt reply midst thunderous applause.)
I just appreciate it so much because I know for Myself Personally, FATHER has made the way so possible for us to attain to our highest aspirations; that is, PERFECT AT-ONE-MENT with HIM; and I just appreciate it FATHER Dear and I love YOU for just being GOD, because only GOD could conceive and establish what YOU have for us, because we couldn't even imagine, we couldn't even imagine what was necessary or what it would take but YOU came treading the winepress All Alone, FATHER!
Oh I just can't thank YOU, FATHER, for what it means to be here under Your Personal Jurisdiction and to have the will and the desire to abide by every rule and every regulation and every wish and command of Yours, because that is our privilege; that is what it takes to attain to our highest aspirations, our deepest desires in following YOU, FATHER Dear! And I just thank YOU FATHER that YOU have well put us on the road to forgetting about ourselves, and it is no goodness of ours, because many times we have rebelled against YOUR simple Rules, but YOU have laid them down to help us!
When I think about the Home, Sayville, where YOU would not even allow Your guests to wash a handkerchief! YOU just had everything done for them so they could concentrate and consecrate their whole mind and attention on the Fundamental and keep it off of themselves; and just through self, I mean, being self-willed, we want to do things that are actually not what FATHER wants us to do, but because we are so persistent HE just lets us! But FATHER has made the way! I mean HE has provided laundresses, and cooks, and chauffeuresses, and homes, and someone to do the buying, and everything for us! and if we fulfill our position to its fullest, then we will be always thinking of others! If we're a laundress we will be so busy doing the laundry for everybody we will have no time to do the cooking for ourselves. The one who is doing the cooking, they are so busy cooking they will have no time to do the laundry for themselves you see the mystery? It's a great Mystery! It's all designed with the thought in mind: to get our minds off of our selves; to get it on others and on the Fundamental! (Thunderous applause resounds.)
FATHER, YOUR Way is Perfection! YOU are just PERFECTION FATHER! I just love YOU, FATHER, and I thank YOU, I thank YOU, I thank YOU for just Being GOD! Thank YOU, FATHER Dear!
