FATHER DIVINE
Since the churches of every denomination and all religious sects are failing to accomplish their endeavors, their leaders have been watching with interest the tremendous and almost unbelievable progress of One Whom they choose to consider as merely another one among them, but Who is rapidly proving that HE is far superior, and His Works no other could do but the FATHER HIMSELF. And wondering, they come seeking the secret of His great magnetism.
Among the many visitors who were drawn to the banquet on this day were several ministers of the Gospel; namely, Rev. Reeves of the Calvary Baptist Church, Haverstraw, N.Y.; Rev. Harris of the Holy Cross Church of New York; and Dr. Jennings of Philadelphia. In response to FATHER'S invitation to speak freely if so led, Rev. Reeves related among other things the incident of one of his deacons inviting FATHER to speak at his church and that HE had not objected because he felt if GOD was for Him, it was useless for anyone to be against Him. He also told of having read a number of FATHER'S BOOKS, and that he knew HE was doing a great Work, as the Bible said that the bottom rail would become to be the top rail, and this was being brought about, for the "so-and-so's" were being raised above all others, or words to that effect. A great many segregated words were used throughout his remarks, which were very offensive to the assembly as those who have been enlightened in this great spiritual understanding, know the undesirable conditions brought about by the use of low rating terms to denote distinctions and divisions.
Rev. Harris, the next speaker, having also been with us before, explained briefly our objection to the use of segregated words, and a few minutes later the DEAN of the universe, our precious Savior, FATHER DIVINE, rose to deliver a beautiful Message on this important subject and other points.
Merciful Redeemer, we thank Thee!

PEACE EVERYONE!
Good Health, good Will and a good appetite for each and everyone today as well as by night. Life, Liberty and the reality of Happiness; a real Democracy I have established to give each and every person the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press and the freedom of peaceful assemblage. This is what I have established and you all have it, if you will live it and express it and allow others to express it according to the dictates of their conscience.
I would just like to say at this instance, there is some exception in every experience and in every assertion. All of GOD'S promises are conditional. They are on condition, and His blessings are the same, and all you represent and can represent, can be only as you represent it, conditionally.
Then I say, remember, it is true concerning the mystery, and live according to My Teaching. I would just like to say to those who are advancing, it is your privilege to advance scientifically, intellectually, inspirationally, intuitively and otherwise. It is your privilege to produce and bring to fruition within, the very living CHRIST, the GOD of your Salvation; but to you it is good and very good to be here, when you can be meek and lowly in heart enough to find your GOD externally and in business and affairs, for you may be led erroneously and if you are self-conceited and continue to perceive the idea of GOD is only in you and to be only considered in you. I must consider GOD in you, but you must consider GOD in ME.
It has long since been declared and men preach this Gospel:
'Be still and know that I AM GOD.'
But I gave one of My followers about six or eight years ago, yea, about eight
or nine years ago, a message by inspiration. Whilst men were saying,
'Be still and know that I AM GOD'
through self-exaltation, the Spirit came through this individual, through the
spirit of meekness and lowliness in heart, the meekness and lowliness of heart
as Jesus,
'Be still and know that HE is GOD.'
You may know that you are GOD, but it is better for you to know that HE is GOD
than for you to know that you are GOD. When you know that you are GOD, why, you
will exalt yourself and you will be dethroned from the place in consciousness
where you would be or had been in consideration; but when you know that HE is
GOD, GOD will be your Savior! Aren't you glad?
The spirit of self-exaltation, the spirit of honor and self-aggrandizement will lead you and exalt you if you will allow it to, until you will stress selfishly:
'It is not robbery to be equal with the Almighty";
but you do not stop to consider the Meekness and the Lowliness of it and see
the only way to get it, is to get it silently and unknowingly or unconsciously
and by knowing that HE is GOD, but not knowing that you are GOD.
When you know that you are GOD, you will get on a downward trend and you will find your selves deviating, you will find yourselves waning and failing because you know you are GOD; but if you get the new-old revelation transposed and vice-versalated
'Be still and know that HE is GOD",
to you GOD externally will be a Redeemer and Savior, but yet I may be in you
but I may not tell you.
I hope these thoughts will go home with you that you might not exalt yourselves above measure. By going to the Epistle-ic prediction as a message that was given by the Apostle, saying:
'Let this mind be in you that was also in CHRIST Jesus, Who thought it not robbery to be equal with GOD,'
that is where the majority of you stop when you want to be GOD. You think it
not robbery to be equal with GOD, but the latter clause of that especial quotation
is still on record for your consideration and for your summation
'. . . but made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. He became obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross.'
Therefore He died from that concept of thinking it not robbery to be equal with
GOD, and became obedient unto the death of the cross; after which GOD exalted
Him and gave Him a name above every other name. Can you not see the mystery?
Then I say, it is a privilege to observe the mystery and to build upon this foundation that cannot be shaken, by the recognition of GOD'S actual Presence as a living reality; and by denying yourself completely once and forever and refusing to be self-exalted or to observe the equality. Where your equality comes in
'Of one blood GOD created all of the nations that dwell upon the face of the earth,'
as nations, as people, and GOD created them all equal. They are all on equality
by the creation and by the making. Can you see the mystery?
But after observing yourselves to be equal with GOD, for your own good it is good to stay meek and lowly and self-denied enough to deny your GOD SHIP degree for righteousness' sake, unless you actually have it and it has been endorsed and established. Why then, it is all right go ahead with it. It is wonderful!
But even with that, I Myself forbid Myself to know I AM GOD universally, and as I AM, I refuse to allow Myself to do anything for a selfish purpose or else I would be a man. Men are limited because they are, in their self-conceitedness, trying to do something for themselves as individuals, as races, as creeds and as colors, as a people. Of course, there is some exception in all of the truth concerning the mystery, as speaking of peoples many, the divers nationalities and as those that are called races, nationally, five of them, but reducing them down to the one and only one, the human race; then we have to get something out of that human race to establish something better, for the human race is a failure.
The Angelic Race must come forth into expression, made out of the human race apparently. We cannot lean on the mortal versions of men, neither can we tolerate being buffed about by them, for they are limited in their own concepts. Their schools of learning and all educational institutes have taught you erroneously and you have been led as sheep to the slaughter. You have been taught to believe in vulgarity! You have been taught to establish vulgarity and teach it to your children and your children's children. The vulgar name by which they call ME is only a name they call ME for the purpose of low ration, when GOD is Omniscient and Omnipresent, when GOD is Omnipotent and Omnilucent!
There is not a Light to come that can give light to this one. GOD is Omnilucent and will light up your darkness and build you up where you are torn down, and will establish your going in the land of the living and give you your real emancipation from all foolishness, from all segregation, even words of segregation as used in your schools of learning. They are trying to do something and yet they are trying to undo it.
In your Declaration of Independence did it not say:
'GOD created all men equal"?
And does not the Constitution verify that:
'Of one blood GOD created all of the nations that dwell upon the face of earth"?
but yet they will teach you in your schools you are so-and-so and you are so-and-so,
trying to keep divisions among the nations! That is why I AM putting them out
of business!
They shall not teach this people any longer! I came with My own OMNISCIENCE to teach them wisdom! Aren't you glad? And I shall put a ban on limited and imperfect teaching, all erroneous teaching of the teachers of this civilization, and I shall renovate the mortal civilization and re-convert it by renovating it and causing the civilization, even as it has advanced, to be remodeled and regenerated and born again. That is what I AM doing in heaven on earth today! I shall have My Way!
Now, all preachers are not condemned. Just because a person is called as being a preacher or called to preach the Gospel, it does not say all of them are bound to the versions of the ones with whom you came in contact, neither to be bound by their mortal concepts and selfishness and unrighteousness. I give each and every person a privilege, a chance LIBERTY for it is a privilege for you to be with ME. Aren't you glad?
But rise above materialism, rise above mortality and the mortal version; revel into the glorious liberty of the sons of GOD then you will be with ME as you are, and I will be with you as I AM!
Oh, it is a privilege to live in such a recognition and to be in GOD'S Actual Tangibilated Presence, with all of His Omniscience; His Omniscience to give you the real interpretation of the Scripture and the interpretation of your life and your life's existence and of all of your mentality, your ideas and your opinions.
'GOD is His own interpreter and HE will make it plain.'
Oh, it is a privilege, I say, to live in such a recognition, to rise above materialism,
the mortal version, the mortal ideas and the mortal opinions. When you do, you
will see ME as I AM and know definitely I AM not a cursed race of yours! I AM
none of your cursed races!
For this cause I came and for this purpose I stand! I stand because I AM SUPERIOR to mortal man! The whole cursed human race was cursed for Adam's sake, even as the earth was. It was cursed until I came to bless the world with a school. Aren't you glad?
Build upon this foundation and know your Redeemer and your Savior! I AM Superior with My own Omniscience! That is where I AM right here!
'If any man lacketh wisdom, let him ask of GOD that giveth liberally and upbraideth not;'
for I have come to answer the problems and to adjust matters satisfactorily for
them.
Then I say, it is a privilege, beloved ones, to live in such a recognition and to have come with My mental and spiritual Chariot, a state of consciousness I have lowered for you. You have sung and you have said it in your mortal human churches and in your mortal versionated concept concerning the mystery:
'Swing low, sweet chariot; it is coming to carry me home.'
I AM THE CHARIOT! I AM the Chariot, I say! I AM this state of consciousness that
has lowered itself to carry you to a place of rest above misery, above sorrow
and above limitations. I have swung My Chariot, My state of consciousness, low
to pick you up! Now, get on board, little children, there is room for as many
more. Aren't you glad? I say, you can get on board, for there is room for as
many more!
I have lowered My Chariot! You sing it and you hear the songs that song whichever sung over and over again by different groups singing it, as being called the "so-and-so" song.
'Swing low, sweet chariot, coming to carry me home.'
I AM the Chariot for them, if they want to get on: I came to take them mentally
and spiritually out of materialism and out of superstition, out of the mortal
version, that they may know definitely there is no such a thing as a heaven above
the sky! I came to take you out of that mortal concept of things and out of your
mortal human superstition. I came to carry you Home! Aren't you glad? I came
to lift you out of all superstition, out of all ignorance and out of that which
you call human intelligence. As you have been taught in your schools of learning
and even in your seminaries, you have been taught to believe that you are a
"so-and-so" when it is a vulgar name; it is the very lowest rated name
of vulgarity for the purpose of low rating you, that you might be continually
low rated as you been established in a low- rated state of consciousness and
by a low degreed and a low rated character because of your nationality as you
are called. That is what it is for! And as long as you think you are one, and
think I AM one, it only reaches you and you will be in lacks and wants and limitations,
but I have the KEY to all hidden treasures of the earth and the KEY to the FOUNT
of all OMNISCIENCE!
I need not a letter of the English alphabet to teach ME wisdom! I AM OMNISCIENT! I AM OMNISCIENT, I say, and I AM teaching humanity wisdom by My own OMNISCIENCE and not by the words of the English language especially. If I choose to condescend to speak it brokenly, I do it for a purpose that you might understand ME because you think you are well versed in the English language. Aren't you glad?
For this cause I do not tolerate the prejudiced newspapers! They come to you with their tongues and teeth and pretend to be loving, honest and true. The first thing they go to writing concerning ME or you, is some segregated term for the purpose of low rating and for the purpose of deteriorating and retarding the advances of GOD's INFINITENESS! That is what it is for!
And I do not merely mean a paper that they think is a daily paper. Any old cursed, segregational paper using segregated terms concerning ME, concerning you, concerning others of the low rated and segregational terms that are used for the purpose of low ration! They think it is a great thing to be teaching segregation. They think it is something! It is the lack of understanding! It is mere IGNORANCE! Aren't you glad?
There are those that are called the weekly papers, want ME to write to them. They want ME to give them stories and such as that; want to write ME up as belonging to them. I do not belong to any cursed race! As a STATESMAN, as I AM and as I shall be known, I AM not here to re- present a race! I say, as a STATESMAN, as I AM and shall be known, I AM not here to represent a RACE! Through My condescension I will represent the Constitution and its Amendments and the Declaration of Independence!
I will represent this Democracy and this people, consisting of many different languages and nationalities, but I will demand the citizenry of each and everyone, that they might produce the spirit and the meaning of true Americanism by this great Conversion, that they might go forth Evangelizing all humanity; for this Democracy is the Foundation of the Kingdom, a Universal Utopia!
Uncle Sam may not have known why these points were established in the Constitution and its Amendments; why I guaranteed Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. They may not know definitely why it is that the Constitution grants the people the privilege to serve GOD to the dictates of their own conscience. They did not know that GOD would come in America, through His condescension to be called an American, speaking broken English without a letter of it. They did not know it!
The men who drafted the Constitution and those who added the Amendments and those who have established the Declaration of Independence, they did not know the meaning of it. They did not know that it meant that we as American citizens should bring forth the CHRIST within to fruition, that the CHRIST within you and in all of her subjects might give you and all of them their real emancipation. They did not know that it would be supernatural power inculcated and reincarnated in the hearts and lives of this people; but I came to fulfill it!
Therefore I preach the Constitution and its Amendments so vividly, with the Declaration of Independence, that you find those who are MY true and faithful followers, they are converted unto it. They are converted in it and the very spirit and the nature of the Constitution and its Amendments are brought to fruition within them and they serve GOD to the dictates of their own conscience.
Now I have given them their real emancipation to be moved volitionally and to be governed by their highest intuition, that they too, as well as I, might bring forth the CHRIST within themselves to fruition. Then and only then will you be real American citizens. Then and only then will you have your real emancipation!
Abraham Lincoln could not give your emancipation! It was only a partial expression of an emancipation; but you have the chance for expression that you might get your real emancipation that will be an emancipation and an emancipation indeed, as Jesus said concerning the mystery:
'If you continue in My Words, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free; and he that the Son sets free is free indeed.'
That is the real emancipation of which I AM speaking! That is the real emancipation
of which I AM giving!
But you are not emancipated as long as you are bound by races, creeds and colors and under the influence of such an undesirable phenomenon. It is only a suppositional concept, having a psychological influence over you as long as you believe you are of some race or some color. So long as you think that you should be set up and someone else should be put down, it is the lack of your understanding and the lack of the Unity of the Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose, the PURPOSE for which I came!
Fortunately and unfortunately, it may be possible there are those who are self-exalted they will be abased, of every nation, of every creed and every color and of every so-called race, as there may be called five races among us. There are some who are exalted who will be abased, but I came to lift up a common standard for all humanity; therefore I AM not representing a race, creed nor a color. I have lifted up a standard and I shall tell Israel her transgressions and I AM telling the House of Jacob right now her sins! Aren't you glad?
We shall have a Righteous Government! "If I were a college professor" if you read after ME, you can remember what I said the other week "If I were a college professor, I would change the whole scheme of things. I would renovate the whole educational system; not only in English, but in all other languages, and I would lift up a standard effectively that could not be refuted nor could it be disputed, but as a standard for a Democracy that will develop into a Utopia and the Utopia is the KINGDOM of GOD for which you all have prayed. That is what it is!
But firstly coming down to this Democracy as a nation and stressing the Democracy as an expression that should be considered politically and legally, that you might have a chance for expression. By so doing you are privileged to be governed by your highest intuition and move volitionally. Hence, by this you will have a chance as well as MYSELF, to bring forth the CHRIST within you to fruition, and yet you will see the same CHRIST in others and will not get self-exalted. Oh, it is something to consider!
When this is established within you and among us we will have a Universal Utopia and this Democracy will go forth into all civilization, Evangelizing and mentally and spiritually organizing the established Utopia, until the Kingdoms of this world shall be the KINGDOM of our GOD and His CHRIST, and GOD alone shall reign over the face of the whole earth today.
I AM bringing about a real Utopia! I AM bringing all nations, languages, tongues and peoples together! I AM causing all division and segregation and discrimination to be eradicated and dispelled once and forever, and I AM working cancellation on SELF wheresoever self has been established. I AM working cancellation to its lowest terms on SELF and SELFISHNESS, wheresoever it is represented, that selfishness might not have an existence in this great KING- DOM and may not retard the advances of this Utopia.
There are many things I could say, but as I afore said, I want you all to know I AM not for mortality nor the mortal's version, neither the mortal concept of things. As I AM, so should you be, and so are you even if you are not conscious of it. You are not a race, neither a creed nor a color. That is why you cannot get anywhere because you think you are. That is why you are in lacks, wants and limitations, as races, creeds and colors.
If you are bound by the barriers of such limitations, you are worse than that of the United States of America geographically, that is bound on the North by the Dominion of Canada, and on the East and South by the Atlantic Ocean and on the West by the Pacific and by the Gulf of Mexico. You will no longer be bound by such versions, but INFINITELY FREE, and will have a free access among us. You will have a chance to advance wheresoever you desire to advance to, and your destination alone will be GOD! Your destination will not be the height of a man.
As long as you belong to a so-and-so Methodist Church, a so-and-so Presbyterian Church of any sort of a cursed so-and-so mortal, versionated concept, you are limited and you are cursed under it. Now, FREE YOURSELF from such curses and I will emancipate you once and forever. If you will but free yourselves mentally and spiritually, I will free you physically and personally, socially and economically, and I will give you the access I have, to go into all society everywhere.
I AM cracking the shell of society! I AM cracking the shell of every barrier! I AM making the crooked way straight in society! I AM making the rough way plain therein! I AM giving you your real EMANCIPATION and a chance for expression and for existence in this great Democracy. Live it and express it in all of your activities and in all of your endeavors then and only then will you be with ME in reality!
Oh, how glorious it is to live in the ACTUAL PRESENCE of GOD! Those who may ignore ME, if they can, My Movement and My Activities, I will show them conclusively and distinctly, they are trying to ignore PERFECTION, they are trying to IGNORE their SUPERIOR, the SUPERIORITY of them; that which has been a standard lifted economically, socially, intellectually, mentally, spiritually and otherwise, as PERFECTION for them, matters not where they come from.
I venture to say socially, with the comfort and convenience such as we are enjoying. There are not any millionaires on the earth plane today who can enjoy what we are daily enjoying. This is a daily occurrence with us a matter of course; banquets of the highest type, without any remuneration required of My true and faithful followers, those who are worthy, as those who are born in the Royal Family, as being termed adopted into the Royal Family.
We have anything we want! The reason we do not have intoxicating liquors at our banquets is just because we do not care for those things. We could have all sorts of intoxicating liquors if we wanted them. We could have all sorts of smoke and such as that, that others have at their banquets; but we want a clean and wholesome surrounding. We want an atmosphere filled with purity and the virginity of Mary, just to the extreme reverse of that of the atmosphere and the spirit and the nature and the environment of Babylon that has made all of the nations drunk with the wine of the wrath of her fornication, for that is the kind of atmosphere we are not ashamed of!
In this I can say candidly, sincerely and conscientiously,
'I AM not ashamed of the Gospel of CHRIST, for it is the power of GOD unto Salvation to everyone that believeth.'
Then I say, brethren and sisters, ladies and gentlemen and angels of the Kingdom,
permit My thoughts to go home with you and be your company keepers, be your inspirator;
for I will inspire you more and more daily, if you will allow ME to. I thank
you. I thank you. I thank you!
