The Lamb and the Bride

The Lamb and the Bride

MOTHER'S DAY THOUGHTS

— To the Beloved Lamb and His Bride —

YOU came in a Body, FATHER Dear
And said,
"Let there be light"—MY unadulterated Spirit in the earth--
And it was so;
YOUR Spirit moved at Love's Command in many bodies.
Then YOU said,
"Let the dry land appear"—the earth— the Mother—yea, the Word made Flesh
And it was so.
YOU married MOTHER, made Her One with YOU
That all may claim their spiritual parentage.

And Beloved MOTHER,
As You live, move, have Your Being
In the abiding knowledge of Your human nothingness,
And the glory of our FATHER filling universal space—
If we claim the name of children,
Then to us it is the same,
As mortals we are nothing,
Our very life is in HIS Name—
That Nature of our FATHER HE transmitted to the earth,
That Virtue that existed ere the mortal world began,
Before its versions were created
And made flesh in mortal man.

It's MOTHER's Day, the Spiritual Day,
When the Law that was in Jesus Christ—
The Law that is the Spirit of Life
Is being made flesh.
And all who will not subjugate
Their bodies unto Righteousness
Are doomed to great destruction.
Oh yes, we've talked and preached and sung,
We've served in bodies faithfully
According to the mind we had;
But now, the hour has struck,
The time has come,
We cannot serve two masters any more—
The spiritual versions and the mortal ones.
The spiritual now must be made flesh
Or else the bodies will go down.

Now, FATHER Dear, You're that Eternal Law
That holds the planets in their course.
What can our little human minds
Know of YOUR, Universal Plan?
Oh let us, on this Sacred Day
Trample the mortal will and way
Beneath YOUR Universal Mind.
Let YOU come forth within each one,
In MOTHER and Her Children too.

Oh yes, regardless what it takes—
Regardless how it may appear,
Consider . , .
Ere the beauty of the fragrant flowering time
In Mothers Nature's bounty,
Oh consider all the harshness of the bitter, bitter cold.
Consider how the buds stay warm,
Protected in their covering sheath
Until the time to spring forth comes.
The earth may seem all bleak and bare,
It is a stage that has to be
For life is change and it is growth.

So FATHER, MOTHER, may we learn
To just let YOU.
Whichever way the Spirit goes,
In great outpouring on al! flesh,
Or yet in tender whisperings
Unseen, within the heart of men—
Oh let us learn,
Not to look back at yesterday
To try to emulate today
What made us happy then.
YOUR Holy Seed YOU put in us
To grow, develop as it will.
It's here, it's now,
The Sacredness,
The Holy GODHEAD BODILY.
Oh praise YOUR NAME FOREVERMORE
Oh praise our LORD, the LAW made Flesh
Oh praise our MOTHER as She goes
Forever lost in YOU;
Oh praise YOU, praise YOU as YOU fill
Each living soul that lets YOU in
And does YOUR Holy Will.

Oh praise YOU! Things that may appear
We cannot keep them as they were, however much we strain and try.
They change!
The earth is YOURS,
Yes, Christ is rich!
Oh, do not fear what is unknown
To mortal, infinitesimal mind;
We cannot go where YOU are not,
Our Infinite, Eternal One,
Our FATHER and our MOTHER too,
Caring forever for HIS Own
Created from HIS Infinite Love.

Let us stretch out those cords so tight
That bind us to the mortal mind,
Let go! Let go!
The Liberty Bell is ringing out
To free us from mortality,
That we may join our MOTHER DIVINE
In rhythmic dance in FATHER's Will—
That Will that's Heavenly Melody,
The all-pervading Principle
That governs every living thing,
And is the Law, our Righteousness.
