FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE with the Crowd
By telephone, telegraph and cable, in news-papers, magazines and picture sheets, and even over the radio broadcasting system, the Name and fame of FATHER DIVINE again spread around the world, Friday, March 8th, telling of GOD's Presence on the earth and of the powers of men in commotion, attempting to thwart HIS Holy reign. This was the second such campaign during one week, showing how the legal world, the political world and other fields of life, are stirred by FATHER's activities in their midst, and though with few exceptions the sensational Press statements were exaggerated or wholly untrue, by FATHER's mighty power they were harnessed up securely and converted to the glory of GOD.
Stirred to more devotion, and greater zeal and courage by such apparent oppositions, great masses of the believers filled FATHER's New York City Headquarters, Saturday forenoon, March 9th, as on every other day, singing their eternal song of praise to HIM Whom they and twenty million others have declared to be GOD in Bodily Form. After HE had served the Banquet Table, FATHER poured forth HIS mighty Words of power, singing and speaking as follows:
"The abundance of the fullness of all good things,
All good things, all good things,
The abundance of the fullness of all good things
Is wheresoever I AM.
"It's a plenty to eat and to drink and to wear,
To drink and to wear, to drink and to wear, etc."
PEACE EVERYONE! Justice, Righteousness and Truth, Majesty, Dominion and Authority, Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding, yet Good Manners, Good Will and Good Behavior! All of these qualities work together when you are unselfish. When you are representing the Fundamental of Life, you are willing for all of these qualities to work in you and control you through the first, namely, Righteousness, Justice and Truth. For this cause I came, and for this purpose I stand, to bring all mankind into subjection to this Fundamental of Whom millions say I AM. I know it is regrettable to the mortal mind that is living in selfishness, but that which I have said, I have said; and that which I have written, I have written; that which I have done, it is finished!
While sitting and listening to the testimonies a little while ago, I thought of what the speaker said about the opposers of MINE—those that think they are opposing ME, those that think they can belittle ME in the sight of MY believers. Every lie they tell—I mean from the judges down to the street cleaners—every lie they tell, they only establish ME! It is indeed Wonderful! Every act of prosecution, every act of persecution— they are telling the people I AM GOD! It i$ indeed Wonderful! The deeper and greater the prosecution and persecution, the greater the conviction and realization of MY Divinity. It is written,
"You shall be persecuted for my name's sake,"
hence, if you did not have someone to oppose ME and to try to persecute through prosecution, you could not and would not be convinced from the material side, that I AM Who you say I AM.
Every time something rises in apposition, they don't know they are telling you I AM GOD. Even in this last little issue the other day—that which was reputed to be a violation of the sanitary code, which is no more than if you leave the tap of your garbage can off, it is just the same offence. If I would have been one that was guilty of such—of course I AM absolutely unconcerned—but if it would have been under MY jurisdiction and sponsored by ME Personally, it would have been only such an offense as leaving your garbage can open.
When the Judge said, "Two hundred and fifty cash," that was telling you that I AM GOD. They would not have said it, had it been someone that left the garbage can open. Maybe he would have said, "Twenty-five dollars to appear in general sessions." "Maybe he would have said, "Ten dollars to appear in general sessions"—the same as passing a red light on the street or something like that, with your car. That is the only offense, something like that. Even if you were guilty, don't you see, and he said, "Well two hundred and fifty cash, to appear in special sessions, as bond." Why, that was telling MY Followers I AM GOD, and especially when he saw I had more in MY possession than that which he required for the two, and extracted another five hundred, why then he was telling the whole world ... telling the whole world, I AM GOD. That is what he was doing, because it was two hundred and fifty, and I gave him that, and when he saw the other, he took the other away from ME. It is indeed Wonderful!
Yes! I came to stir up and I came to find out the corruption that is in these police courts. It is indeed Wonderful! That is what I came for —that is why I did it, to draw them out and to let man both see the dishonesty of the courts of law—those that are in the courts, many of them, and also the dishonesty, the corruption and falsity of the newspapers. Every prosecution, every persecution and every expression of persecution, in words, deeds or actions, they are telling the people I AM GOD ALMIGHTY!—that is what they are doing!
When they crucified Jesus, they told you that Jesus was Christ. It is indeed Wonderful! If they had not crucified Jesus, they would not have told you two thousand years beforehand that Jesus was the Christ, for you that would be born. It is indeed Wonderful! Every opposition is actually telling you the mystery. MY Followers do not need a teacher! That is the mystery! Now I AM saying these Words that you may jot them down in your notebooks and in your vocabularies—put them on record, every Word I say—that you might reiterate what I have said, or allow ME to do the same.
I was just thinking how the followers are increased and multiplied by millions every time something arises in opposition. Millions are increased and multiplied and added to the number, for they are being told by the persecution, through the prosecuting proceedings, that GOD is a reality among HIS people. I need not tell you I AM GOD, I will force the enemy to tell you I AM—tell you I AM by proceeding with legal efforts to prosecute—not to prosecute, but to persecute under the name of prosecution. That is what it is, because they know they have nothing on ME—not a thing! Even the complaint was not concerning ME any more than it was any other person here. It is indeed Wonderful!
Just take these thoughts to consideration, but remember, with all of the oppositions, with all of the criticisms, with all of the persecutions through prosecution, they cannot. prohibit this advancement, for it is infinite. While they were speaking of trying to get ME away, etc.—I AM SPIRIT! I AM MIND! When I AM absent in Body—if it were possible—I AM Present in Spirit. Almighty! That is the great significance of MY activities. Therefore, it is a matter of impossibility for ME to be hindered. There are not enough powers on the earth plane, nor on the psychic plane, neither in the spiritual realm, to prevent ME from being and doing just what I AM doing, and being just Who I AM! Oh, it is such a wonderful place to be!
When the Body called Jesus was crucified, they were telling millions that would come from that time until now, that Jesus was Christ and Christ is GOD. They were telling them that, by the acts, and the attitude they took in regard, to Jesus as a person, trying to dispel Him from the presence of the people. From that time, do you not see there are millions and millions added to the believers of Christendom? When that spirit has striven to prohibit you, by trying to stop you personally, they only establish you, for you are more operative without your personality than you are with it. That is the mystery.
This Truth cannot be prevented, it cannot be prohibited, for it is incorruptible, undefiled and it fadeth not away. That is the mystery! Just think of it—when the body called Jesus ceased to function as a person, His Spirit and His Nature and all of His Characteristics, they were all transmitted and reincarnated in millions; therefore, He was increased and multiplied immediately in one day. Three thousand souls were added to the Church in one day. When the mortal mind rises in apposition, through prosecuting —persecuting actions veiled behind prosecution —they are telling you just Who I AM. They are not preventing nor prohibiting MY establishment —to the extreme opposite, they are increasing and multiplying it. It is indeed Wonderful!
There are millions added to this number since the other day, and they will continue to come, and I will intellectually educate them, and qualify them to meet the issues of life, for we will put every official out of office that will not do right, and we will have men and women that are qualified with the Spirit of Justice, Righteousness and Truth—those that will do unto others as they- would have them do unto them — to fill the offices of those that will not deal justly. It is indeed Wonderful! We will qualify you, that the Government of this country may not perish from the earth, for unless those days of the mortal mind are shortened, "there shall be no flesh saved."
Mortal mind, in selfishness, graft and greed, in races, colors and creeds, your day is done! It is indeed Wonderful! We shall have a Righteous Government, and it will be founded upon the Principle of Jesus Christ according to the Gospel, and not contrary. It is indeed Wonderful! But there are those that are in office today that shall be moved out. I say unto you and unto all of the inhabitants of America, it is good for you if MY believers do not doubt ME, for if they did doubt ME, they would have no death to fear, neither would they have any "other place" to dread, therefore they would seek their own rights with arms; they would destroy both cities and towns, without MY Mind. I know what they would do, for they are educated unto the Truth enough to know, there is no such thing as another place to go to. It is indeed Wonderful! They know there is no such a thing as a mystical GOD in some imaginary heaven somewhere, neither a mystical fiery, burning flame, of that which is termed by the religions, h-l, to shun. Since they have been in MY Light and MY Understanding, this Truth they have learned, hence, they cannot and will not deviate, for they know there is no such a thing as another place somewhere, that is called by the religions, h-l, to shun.
You don't have to fear a thing! If you believe in GOD on earth as I AM, you will not fear a thing. That is what you will not do! You will not fear a thing, and you will dread no man, that is what you will not do. Take these thoughts to consideration. Live in the consciousness of GOD's Presence, for GOD is a living reality and has become to be a living factor in the hearts and lives of humanity, therefore, the government
Now it is your issue, to qualify yourselves. Since you have become to be law-abiding citizens, now qualify yourselves and be ready to become law-making citizens. Take these thoughts to consideration! We will stir, and stir and stir! For every act of dishonesty expressed in the higher-ups, it is showing you the corruption that is among them. Take these thoughts to consideration. Everything I do, I do for a purpose. I do it to stir up the nation and to get at the corruption that is in the masses, and among those that are in authority—dishonesty and non-competence and the way they will abuse their powers GOD has imparted to them through legal and political proceedings, the power that they should execute in Righteousness, Justice and Truth— and if they abuse their power, I will see that they are impeached. I will see that they are impeached! If they are not legally impeached in one way, they shall be impeached in another. I said the other day, unless every Judge and every Ruler will judge the people with equity, and do that which is just and right by every individual, I will move them out of office. I AM not just talking, I mean what I say! The mouth of the LORD has spoken it! It is indeed Wonderful! Righteousness! Justice! and Truth! these I have called forth into expression. The same as I did call forth Peace, Good Will, Good Health and a Good Appetite for you, now I have called into expression Righteousness, Justice and Truth for you.
When men are sworn in office, they are sworn in by the Bible. Their Oath of Office is that they should deal justly, without regard to race, creed or color, without regard to individuals, but that a just judgment should be executed. It is indeed Wonderful! These thoughts are well worth considering, and that is why I AM getting among the people, to see the honesty and the dishonesty of the officials, and those that have authority that GOD has imparted to them.
I would just like to call your attention to the Governor of this state. I had an occasion to communicate with him the other day, and he immediately responded according to his Oath of Office. So far as that is concerned, I can endorse him. I had an occasion to communicate with the Governor of California the other day, and also with the Governor of Ohio. Immediately, I had a response from the Governor of Ohio himself, that the bus party that was held up in the state because of not having Ohio license —he immediately dispatched a State Police Escort to escort MY bus party through the state.
This I did for the purpose of reaching the higher-ups, to see the honesty and the competence of their honor. Each of these Governors responded immediately, and I can endorse them as far as that is concerned. Between this and the next election I will have a chance and an occasion whereby I will test their honor and their competence, and not only theirs but other Governors through the country. It is indeed Wonderful!
Right now, if perchance we were to have to call on the masses for an endorsement for the Governor—not an endorsement by the Governor, but as an endorsement for the Governor, for re-election or something of that sort—by the humanitarian act, the act of honesty he expressed, the Governor of New York and also the Governor of Ohio—we would put them in office. It is indeed Wonderful! I will prove to the world conclusively, GOD is not confined nor bound to spirituality alone, but GOD is dealing in the affairs of men, for HE came to reign and rule among them.
That is the mystery! Hence, it was a glorious event, and I AM glad it was a privilege and opportunity that made it necessary for ME to ca11 on all three of these Governors, for certain issues that were necessary, and they immediately responded, according to their Oath of Office. It is indeed Wonderful!
Just think of what GOD can do for you—as one said he said to one of the judges the other day, "FATHER is helping you, even if you don't know it." I can and I will help everyone that will do just and right, and will judge the people with equity. I will help them and endorse them. I will help the city the police department, etc. —to clean the city of vice and crime of every kind. I will do it if GOD permits, for I AM declaring it is permissible, for I have permitted it. Of course, the holdup boys and men that have been in this vicinity and other parts of the city, those of MY followers have been among them, some of them. Part of them have been underworld men themselves, but since they are converted and completely redeemed, I will see that they will help the city government to rid itself of the menace of vice and crime. It is indeed Wonderful!
They desire to see this prohibited, because it is Righteousness, Justice and Truth, but nothing can prohibit it. Even though I be Personally Present or absent from you, it makes no difference, I AM just as operative. Oh, it is Wonderful! That is the great significance of the Omnipotence and Omniscience of GOD. GOD is Omnipotent and GOD is Omniscient. With or without HIS Personal Presence, GOD can function and GOD will function, and GOD will be Manifested Supremely. That is the mystery!
So fret not yourselves because of what one might think or say—the Spirit of MY Presence, as it is in MY Person, can and will function just as effectively without MY Personal activity, as it would with it, and as it can with it, for the Presence of the Body cannot help it in a way, and it cannot prevent it! Those that are asleep will not prevent those that are awake. Those that are awake will not prevent those that are awake. Those that are awake ". .. will not prevent those that are asleep," for I will awaken them and put them into expression, scientifically, mentally and spiritually, that their spirit and their energy and their real self mentally, will function without their presence.
