"FATHER DIVINE Solves All Strike Problems!" That could be the headline on all newspapers across the Nation today. They could honestly print it in bold type for under the Peace Mission strikes do not occur. By the cooperative effort of Capital, Labor and Management to produce equity and justice automatically, all causes of strikes are eliminated.
Because the newspapers have refused for years to tell the public the truth about FATHER DIVINE, strike after strike has cost them millions and millions of dollars. The statistics on the recent newspaper strike in New York City, already reveals 47 days of spiraling losses. The end is not yet in sight. Here are the facts as taken from the Philadelphia Bulletin:

The N. Y. Newspaper Strike began on 9 papers on December 7th, 1962.
By Jan .23, 1963, the strike still without settlement was entering its 47th day.
Publishers estimated a loss of 1.3 million every day in advertising alone.
20,000 employees are losing $500,000 minimum in wages daily.
Retail business estimates a 2 million dollar loss daily.
The City of New York is losing $60,000 on a 3 percent sales tax collection every day the strike continues.
Trade is down 25 percent. This is typical of strike ravaged cities throughout the nation.
If this is true, then, that FATHER DIVINE has the solution to all strike problems, why don't the officials appeal to FATHER to end all strikes? Why are there still strikes like the PTC (Public Transportation Co.) Strike, the Dock Strike, which before its termination crippled East Coast shipping. The answer is in a statement made December 6, 1953 — almost ten years to the day the current New York Newspaper Strike began.
Speaking of continued criticism of HIM by the Press, FATHER DIVINE addressed a large audience in New York City:
"Even they have the audacity to say' FATHER DIVINE rides around like a millionaire!' Sure!
"The earth is the LORDS and the Fullness thereof!"
"Back in'34,—'32, '33 and '37 when those defaming and libelous books were printed talking about I riding around in a Rolls-Royce like a millionaire with a chauffeur. I have plenty of them — Deusenbergs and other makes of highest class of cars!"
"It is written of ME Scripturally, predictionally it was declared in the Psalmic quotation of David,
"He shall go forth riding prosperously through the land!" Psalm Forty-five!
"Then they have thought of the paper or the press being a pen, and mightier than the sword. I have declared,
"MY Tongue is the pen of a Ready Writer!"
"Psalm 45:1 MY Tongue is the pen of a Ready Writer and I'll write against you! And when I write against you, you will go down like a sword out of MY mouth and in the hands of the one that will slay the wicked ones! Aren't you glad!
"Then I say,
"Fret not yourselves because of the workers of iniquity, for they shall be cut off!"
"Little did they think when I spoke as I did, cursing the papers that carried the articles, that it would reach so effectively! They may try to work against it now, because they know that know that I have cursed the papers; they may try to get back together! Everyone that is cursed is cursed beyond measure!
"They could not and would not carry MY Message verbatim, sympathetically and harmoniously and get away from that point of view that tries to destroy the righteous for the wicked! If they will not do it, they shall pay the penalty over and over again! Even if they think the papers will be opened up again, it makes no difference, they have been cursed world without end, . . . All of the writers and all of the publishers and all that have lied by propagation and by slander and tried to cause people to disbelieve ME! — but they believe ME and love ME more than ever!" (Dec, 6, 1953 from the New Day December 12, 1953, pg. 27. After that the press tried to ignore FATHER even while they honored unjust officials and men of questionable morals."
For many years FATHER has been warning the officials of Government, Industry, Labor and Management to deal justly and speak truthfully! It is on record that FATHER said in 1938:
". . . The unjust officials they are selected and elected because of the corruptible politicians and their desires to hide themselves in their corruption; why, naturally, unrighteousness will try to hide, but there is always something in the Great Universal Mind Substance that will turn the light on them." (The New Day 1-19-63 Pg. 7)
Even as far back as 1936 HE spoke directly to Labor and Management:
"If the labor unions that limit workers to five days a week will guarantee the workers 5 days' work each week, and will guarantee to pay them what they are demanding from the employers when they call them out on strike, we will endorse them. Otherwise we will not tolerate them."
"There are thousands of people out of work, without food and shelter and I can see the oppressed, — the widows and the orphans, the hireling and his wages, and I will bring swift judgment to the offender." (Economic Section of the Righteous Government Platform.)
Referring to the executives of Business, Labor and Government, FATHER said:
"A blessing will come if the chief executive and other executives as judges and rulers representing the people will judge the people with equity and deal justly in all of their dealings; then GOD will have mercy upon them if they will confess and forsake their sins for the people and for themselves. GOD will have mercy as HE did on Nineva when Jonah through GOD'S Inspiration and Demand predicted the destruction of the city!" (N. D. Dec. 17, 1939 A.D.F.D. Pg. 7.)
Recurring strikes, like recurring deficits, indicate division of purpose. By HIS Name alone , FATHER DIVINE has united the people and brought an end to the cause of strikes. In 1938 speaking at a banquet on 126th Street, FATHER said:
"It is the Name of your Savior that has brought you all together. This is not merely to bring about a great organization, from an organizational point of view, but it is for the purpose of bringing about the reality of the Universal Brotherhood of Man and the conscious realization of the Fatherhood of GOD. When this shall have been established in the hearts and minds of the children of men, there will be no more wars. We will not have any more race riots and divisions and nations against nations; but all of the inhabitants of the earth will be in the unity of Spirit, and therefore one would not attempt by any means, to do anything that would be detrimental to the other, for he would know within himself he would be undermining his own foundation and destroying himself automatically."
Strikes that hazard public welfare and health and economy are a serious warning signal to the Government. Government such as our Government of these United States that is of the people, by the people and through the people is also for the people. So it should be with all business, all labor and all trade.
The Founding Fathers of this great Nation were inspired by GOD to design a Government that would expand the good and curb evil — that would weld the people into an Indivisible whole and direct their energy into the pursuit of Life, Liberty and Happiness for all. That phrase "for all" is the major responsibility of modern man in every pursuit of life.
In the fulfillment of the phrase "for All" lies the key to Victory for Democracy, if we, the people, will turn the key.
All the "isms" of force such as Communism, Fascism and Hitlerism have pretended to be for "all" the people; yet they would put down strikes by force. FATHER has shown us that only true Democracy is for all the people; for it is the only form of government known to man where GOD governs through the people, bringing them together in HIS Name to eradicate by the application of Righteousness (Right-use-ness) anything or system that imposes a hardship on the people. This is the government without and predicted by Isaiah:
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government is upon his shoulder; and he shall be called Wonderful, Counselor. The mighty GOD, the everlasting FATHER, the prince of Peace."
"Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end." - Isaiah. 9:6, 7"
This government that can end all strikes by justice, was laid down in principle in the Life of Christ. It was a principle that would lay a sword between justice and injustice; between liberty and slavery; between poverty and excess and yet create Eternal Peace.
"Sell all that thou hast and give it to the poor and come and follow ME. . ."
"Follow ME" — not into poverty as many religionists would have thought, but into progress and prosperity that would take a little and expand it into much— take a few fish and a few loaves of bread and expand it into all that five thousand or seven thousand men (without counting the women and children) could eat and still have 12 baskets full left over. This is a government based on a principle that picks up and uses all the fragments.
Speaking in parable of the mystery of abundant supply FATHER compared the boy's lunch with the remaining fragments:
"The boy's lunch basket was not full, but if you think it was filled and was actually full, it was only one lunch basket! But we have the Scripture record of it — at least, the fragments, there were seven baskets full taken up after all had bountifully dined and been bountifully supplied! Can you not see the mystery? So it was obliged to be at least seven times as much taken up after all had been satisfied! Aren;t you glad!
"Those who are living in this Recognition and those who are participating and cooperating in thoughts , words, deeds and actions, yet have been requested to satisfy your hearts' desires in every capacity before you start to pick up the fragments! Can you not see the mystery? The fragments have come from the abundance of the fullness wherewith you have been supplied, and after you have been completely and bountifully satisfied you are privileged to take up the fragments; which you do not want. But do not take up anything you do no want. Just that which you do not want — which you don't have any need for! That which MY Followers have taken which they do not have any need for were sufficient to buy the Greenkill Park near Kingston! That was what they picked up that they did not have any need for. You see the mystery? After they had been supplied with food and with raiments and houses and comfort and convenience and everything that their hearts desired — they had been bountifully supplied — and after they were satisfied, they were allowed to take up the Fragments that nothing be wasted! And that was just what could have been wasted! Can you not see the mystery? Just what would have been wasted!
"The Greenkill Park; Krum Elbow on the Hudson; Milton on the Hudson; Divine Farm in Ulster County just a little further; all of these many places in a beautiful supply to satisfy every desire were just what they did not need; just what they were going to waste! They took those things up! That was years back. And even before that time I had taught MY Followers how to pick up the fragments that nothing be wasted and put the fragments into practical and profitable service for the good of humanity in general, for they did not need it. They were bountifully supplied; and their hearts and minds were satisfied! And there was so much left! You see the mystery? There was so much left I told them to take up the fragments that nothing be wasted! — and it is still flowing that way!
"That is why MY Followers have unlimited purchasing power! — I mean from a monetary point of view! That is what I AM talking about! Because they have picked up the fragments and nothing is wasted! They have used the fragments, what they did not need after they had been bountifully supplied from every angle expressible until their hearts and minds were perfectly satisfied! There was so much left, one time, after all of those many places in other parts of the country and in the Promised Land, they came on down to Brigantine and bought the Brigantine Hotel out of the fragments that would have been wasted; but they put it into practical service for the good of humanity in general that nothing be wasted!" On these same principles, by picking up the fragments, the people of these United States of America could form a cooperative union that would not only defy all aggression but would so exemplify E Pluribus Unum that America would become a Leader under GOD to produce Peace on Earth within and without these borders.
Nevertheless, it takes GOD and GOD alone, ruling on the throne of the minds of men in business, profession, labor and trade — the executives of business, the executives of union and management — all must be governed by GOD to serve all the people with equity.
In FATHER DIVINE'S Peace Mission there are no strikes. There are no strikes simply because Capital, Labor and Management combine their energy to serve All the People and live — not only as one nation but a One Family Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for All!
However, until this Righteousness is honored as a standard and the newspapers and the leaders of men repent (if they have not sinned against the Holy Ghost) there will be more strikes in the coming years than have ever been known before! The wicked shall slay the wicked economically as well as physically until this is done. But when the Fatherhood of GOD is recognized, then the Brotherhood of Man will be the only union necessary to acquire Life, Liberty and the Reality of Happiness. In FATHER DIVINE the people are united together, not in a union but in the Unity of Spirit, Mind, Aim and Purpose.
