Dear FATHER DIVINE:
At this joyous time many of us join in wishing You and Your Wife many happy years together
I would like to make the following suggestion — with our social system in such a turmoil and with so much emphasis placed on juvenile delinquency, it seems to me that this is the time for decisive and vigorous action by the leaders of our community in an effort to better conditions. Yesterday Mayor Dilworth asked for some action by civic leaders.
Now, FATHER DIVINE, during the years you and your followers have been active in Philadelphia, you have impressed many of us with your sincerity and good intentions. Your followers as a group are a credit to the community and you personally, are above reproach.
FATHER DIVINE, why don't you publicly offer your services to the City of Philadelphia and to the people in this crisis? Bring your wonderful philosophy of love and peace to the hearts and minds of these disturbed people. You are the only one who can bring this deplorable impasse to a peaceful settlement.
I might add while I am light complected and have not had more than casual association with your organization, I have always regarded you highly and I consider you to be a great force for good.

FATHER DIVINE
Your letter of the 5th ultimo is appreciated, even though because of the press of correspondence, I AM delayed in responding.
I enjoy hearing from those who are broad minded and unafraid to speak the Truth. Of course, I AM universally known and MY Work is not confined to those who are called MY followers alone. I have lifted a standard of Honesty, of Morality and of Truth that all humanity must follow if they live. However, Jesus spoke of it, when He addressed the Pharisees:
"If I cast out 'other fellows' by the spirit of GOD, then the kingdom of GOD is come unto you."
(Matt. 12:28)
If the priests and scribes and leaders of the people had recognized the Christ, they would have been found in their sins. They did not want the Kingdom of Heaven to come to them. They did not want to deny themselves of their individual power, authority, greed and lusts as they would have been obliged to do if they had acknowledged the Kingdom of Peace. The same is true in a great measure today; for this cause did Jesus say:
"Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and harlots go into the kingdom of GOD before you."
(Matt. 21:31)
However, I have entered in where the door is shut and I have made MY Law of Righteousness. of Honesty, of Truth and of Justice the standard for all Governments Universally. If they rid themselves of the vice and crime that is plaguing them, they must do so by the Virtue of CHRIST and the Word of GOD, even as I AM daily Exemplifying.
Of course, if they admit that I have the Word of GOD, then they must admit that the Word has been made Flesh and Dwells Among them. However, I have lifted among men a Sample and an Example of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, for which all mankind has prayed. Jesus taught you to pray:
"Let Thy Kingdom come and Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."
I AM showing the world how to "let" the Kingdom come and this Principle of Economic and Social Science is operative and expressive as the principles of mathematics. It will work for one and all, individually, internationally and universally, just as it does for these under MY Personal Jurisdiction, if they will apply it accurately and scientifically. I AM MY Law Personified.
If it is possible for men to solve the problems of the world by taking MY Law without MY Body, they are free to do so. However, it may be as it was with the development of Atomic Energy. Scientists knew the principles, but until MY Spirit was Personified in the body of the great scientist and mathematician, Einstein and the scientists accepted of him and his knowledge of the law of mathematics, it was not possible to make the first atomic bomb — the beginning of making atomic energy practical for mankind. So it is with the Body of GOD.
Christ declared:
"I AM the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I give for the life of the world."
(John 6:51)
The men said among themselves in that day — for they did not want to accept of the Body of GOD as flesh and blood:
"How can this man give us flesh to eat? then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you."
(John 6:52,53)
When men see GOD in the Flesh, in that day the Kingdom of GOD is come unto them. Where the Kingdom of GOD is, for either a man or a nation, there is Peace, Life, Health, Prosperity and all the desirable blessings and attributes of GOD. Then I say, the hour, yea, in the twinkling of an eye in which men behold the Presence of GOD with them, in that instance shall men be changed and Heaven and earth be One according to the prayer of Christ:
"I pray that they may be One even as We are One."
Hence, know that with GOD all things are possible and as with ME and Mine, so shall it be universally after a while; for I have come that all mankind may become to be even as this leaves ME, as I AM Well, Healthy, Joyful, Peaceful, Lively, Loving, Successful. Prosperous and Happy in Spirit, Body and Mind and in every organ, muscle, sinew, join, limb, vein and bone and even in every Atom, fibre and cell of MY Bodily Form.
