In the gentle voice of a loving FATHER, in tenderness and compassion FATHER for many years has sought the Government that it might make the way easier for the oppressed that they might be physically and mentally fit as well as prepared for the hour of crisis. HE appealed to the officials of this democracy to pass a Five Year Tax Exemption Bill that would enable those who were living in the slum areas to build and remodel and clean up unsanitary housing conditions everywhere.
As FATHER distinctly showed, such a law would have not only put money into circulation that otherwise, because of the severe taxes imposed upon property owners for improvements, has been lying idle, but it would eliminate fire hazards and in general improve the health and morale of every community. The officials said it could not be done; they refused to hear of it. Now the time has come when those same officials are seeking and begging for housing facilities that are not available because they did not heed the voice of GOD, FATHER DIVINE in time!
Just before this Message a sister testified as to how the officials had come to the Promised Land, Ulster County, seeking housing facilities in case New York and other large cities should be evacuated. Herein is the ultimatum for all government for GOD has cared for HIS own!

I would just like to say at this instance, just then I retraced MY thoughts back to a proposal and a request made upon our government of which the authorities said, a good many of them, it could not be a federal issue. I proposed a Five Year Tax Exemption Bill several years ago in making preparation for what they need now; not for MY followers alone, but for each and everybody, to improve themselves by improving their respective surroundings and bringing an abolition to all unsanitary existing conditions, to have a general slum clearance proposition that would be done by the landlords and property owners.
If this would have been granted according to MY proposal there would be better health for national defense. Thousands who have been living in the slums without comfortable housing places and without food and shelter to give them health and vigor and cause them to be physically fit for national defense, such have caused them not to be physically fit for the lack of proper housing facilities and the necessary sanitary living surroundings in the respective communities.
People would have improved their property — ninety-nine percent of the people would have improved the property, especially the real property, had it been granted by the government with the privilege to improve and develop property with five years' tax exemption after the completion of the improvements they would make on such property. They refused to accept of MY proposal for the benefit of the general public. No doubt they thought I was thinking and talking selfishly and looking out for Number One.
I AM looking out for number one but not if they consider number one to be in MY consideration, for the number one of whom I AM looking out for is the human race! As a humane worker I consider every living creature of the human race and even the animalistic kingdom, to better living conditions for all living creatures. This could have been done and would have been done had they granted a Five Year Tax Exemption Bill.
The followers of MINE, as I have often said, as they have unlimited purchasing power, through cooperation they would have spent in developing and improving and rebuilding and remodeling the property continually, more than five million dollars! MY immediate followers would have done it whereby they would have housing facilities for the evacuation of at leasT ten thousand inhabitants of New York City to the Catskills and other parts of the country that would be in the immediate City aside from MY immediate followers, in and around New York City — around twenty-five thousand.
This could and would have been accomplished had they taken cognizance of MY Message and considered unselfishly; for I do not and did not, and will not, or have not and I AM not expecting to tell the citizens of this country to send their monies abroad to invest in stock and other holdings in other countries; but for the advancement of our own housing system in the different communities where the people are living and where they sojourn, I have petitioned the authorities to draft and pass a Five Year Tax Exemption Bill to cause the land owners and financiers to invest their money in this country and in real property; not only in the personal property such as could be taken away but in real property that would be for the benefit of the respective communities wherein these monies would be invested. But they did not take cognizance of MY Message!
MY followers alone right around Kingston there would have spent even millions of dollars more than they have spent had they granted a five-year tax exemption bill. There was a hotel proposed to be built there. There was another hotel a little further away and many other properties would have been developed and improved and would have made more accommodation for the general public had they accepted of MY Message and taken cognizance of it, but they did not!
So when the last speaker was speaking I thought of what we are doing. We are not just preparing for ourselves alone, but we mean to rescue the perishing and care for the dying in case of emergency, if necessary. If they can receive us we are in the place where we can protect them in the time of emergency we will, if they will let go and let GOD, help them. It is written,
"The Name of GOD is a strong tower and the Righteous run therein and is saved."
The people realize now, when the followers started purchasing property up in the Catskills, all around in the mountains and even at the place where the Revolutionists fought, you can plainly see it meant something. Now they are wondering will we have accommodations for them. Of course it is an abstract expression, but as you see in The New Day, even if you are in the wake of the air raids, if you trust GOD whole-heartedly and do not fret nor fear but live lovingly, soberly, righteously and Godly, GOD will protect you.
How marvelous it is to have such a confidence and such an assurance! Truly might have the inspiration come to one — it came to one, saying:
"Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine, oh, what a foretaste of glory Divine!"
Consciously or unconsciously the inspiration was bespeaking of what you all are now enjoying. They got a foretaste of this Glory of Divine and they found they were heirs of Salvation — in the inspiration-ic composition-ic prediction it was for you. They found that they were
"An heir of Salvation, and purchased of GOD,"
belonged to GOD, you see.
"Born of HIS Spirit and washed in his blood;"
could have been said, washed in HIS Life as HIS Life had been exemplified so vividly and so stressfully until you were filled with it and had imbibed it and it had flooded all over you.
Then it said,
"Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of Rapture now burst on my sight!
Angels descending, bring from above Echoes of mercy and whispers of love ."
You can see the inspiration-ic, composition-ic prediction of what you all have been experiencing for many years since you knew ME, since you decided to live evangelically, soberly, godly and righteously and even politically constitutionally under this great democracy. You have expressed it in the fulfillment of that of which was predicted by the composition and you are now experiencing something second to none for GOD is with you.
"Perfect submission, all is at rest;"
you are not disturbed, are you?
"I in my Savior, am happy and blest. I am watching and waiting,"
he said,
"I am looking above."
Even if you take it from a look, observingly looking above for something, trying to observe something from a geographical point of view, and they said they were looking for air raids; even if you do that and be watching and waiting and looking above, and be lost in HIS goodness and filled with HIS love, you need not fear what will come from above. Aren't you glad?
So these thoughts are well worth considering. But you had such an assurance even by the inspiration-ic composition-ic prediction, for that which is given inspirationally and intuitively is a message to you and it is a message to others who are in that category and in that place where they can receive the message, for you are now the fulfillers of that composition, especially you who are trying to live evangelically and have tasted of this unmingled love.
"Blessed assurance,"
even in the name of Jesus he observed it.
"Jesus is mine, Oh, what a foretaste of glory DIVINE! Heir of salvation, purchased of GOD."
It is a blessing to be purchased and to be bought with a price and not your own. Aren't you glad! The time cometh and is now at hand, men may count themselves great after the manner of men, but they are relinquishing all claims of their own. They are realizing they are bought with a price and they are not their own. Aren't you glad!
Coming into this recognition, GOD is the only hope of your salvation, the only redemption for all humanity and the hope of protecting you and your belongings, all things that you claim; GOD is your only protection and without GOD'S protection you haven't a thing. But with GOD'S protection you can say continually even as the apostle said on one occasion:
"The earth is the LORD'S and the fullness thereof; the cattle on a thousand hills are Mine, says the LORD,"
but HE said more stressfully to be considered for the benefit of HIS people,
"You are heirs and joint heirs with Christ and of all of HIS fullness have all you received grace for grace."
A perfect rhythmistic declaration for the recognition and the realization of the True and the Faithful and it is just as positive and sure, for your assurance is in the Infallible One Who faileth not and fadeth not away but remaineth throughout all eternity, with or without a body. God alone is your FATHER! GOD alone is your Refuge, your Strength and your Protection and your Help in every need and will your every hunger feed, if you wholeheartedly trust, obey and rely on ME! I thank you!
