The scene for the occasion of the sumptuous Banquet spread for the LORD and HIS host on this particular evening, was the lovely residence over that particular busy section of Ulster County, the Promised Land Enterprises, the Taylor Shop and Grocery Store.
In time past it has not been very frequent that the LORD would join His children here to sup with them and break the bread of life for wheresoever HE Goes and where ever HE Is there is always such a crowd following that it is necessary always to remain to feast where the most can be accommodated. However, to satisfy the sincere desire of every heart, often times just such little apparently unexpected acts of FATHER'S are witnessed by those of HIS followers and others, to let us see and know we cannot bind nor confine HIM to custom nor to our versions. ideas and opinions.
Here once again did we receive such as no man has been able to teach or give to those who are seeking the Truth and the Way of GOD, for FATHER DIVINE, our CHRIST and REDEEMER could find none to open the Book of the Seven Seals and reveal the mysteries thereof. Therefore, for our redemption it was necessary that HE came as HE did that we might be saved and that the whole system of affairs and the world of Government might be systematized and regulated in the way that will bring the desirable results all are seeking, for all humanity.
For these glorious Words of enlightenment we thank YOU, our Majestic SAVIOR.

Peace, Everyone:
Good Health, Good Will, a Good Appetite, Good Manners and Good Behavior tonight as daily. I have arisen at this instance to say, in listening to the testimonials a little while ago, I thought how marvelous it is to know I AM with you, can and will supply your every need, will cause each and all of you to be practical if you will but let ME.
You need not feel as if though you are obliged to be impractical, neither unprofitable, for the Spirit of MY Presence will produce the practicality for you, something to cause you to be practical and will also cause you to be prosperous in all of your endeavors; therefore you will be profitable, you will no longer be as may be termed unprofitable and slothful servants. But nevertheless, as I wish to convey for the benefit of all who may be interested, those who may seek it and those who may not seek it, — those of you who go out on jobs. You have been taught to be honest, competent and true; you have been taught to be reliable and dependable and so are you; nevertheless, those who seek MY cooperation through getting MY followers to give them service, they must stop and consider they cannot expect to get profitable and practical and good-for-something service for nothing.
This I AM saying in your defense as well as in the defense of the employers and the would-be employer, for those in and around this village and in this town and all throughout this community must realize you all do not have to work for nothing. You do not have to go on jobs, I mean and give your time, your service and your labor for nothing. That is what I AM talking about. If you wish to give a person something, you make up your mind to give it to them; but if you are going under the name of getting a salary, you charge a salary as you should get.
Now that is for the benefit of them, the employer, and the benefit of the employee, for the time cometh and is near at hand, they will be barred from the privilege of such as I AM giving and they will be bound to pay according to the exceedingly high-price unions and be limited to your service and the service of others as employees and laborers, unless they do as I tell them.
The unrighteousness and unjustness of the employer have caused great confusion among the laboring class of people. They bring hardships upon themselves and cause themselves to have much more to pay than they would have to pay if they would be willing to deal justly and be honest to the employees, the laborers to be honest to them.
I mention this because such as I have heard, and I desire the community to know it, — that there are those who are seeking to get men and women to work for around a dollar a day. It is an outrage, it is ridiculous! You should earn a living wage that you might be honest to your employer and that you might be honest to others to whom you are obligated. You desire to pay all of your old bills, if you owe any. You desire to come clean and square before God and before man, but how can you do that unless those who employ you will pay you a living wage. Others will have to do the same. They may not do it just now, but they will have to before I get through with them.
We are calling for Righteousness, Truth and Justice to be enacted. I AM calling for these qualities and attributes to be put into practice with the employer as well as the employee that all might be set free from the curse that millions are now under and this is accomplished by this emancipation that I AM representing, by bringing Righteousness into action and into business, profession, labor and trade — causing the Righteousness of GOD as being termed religion, to be inculcated and enacted in the works of all mankind and in all professions.
Righteousness must be represented in the different fields of endeavor. Righteousness must unite in the Spiritual world of expression and the commercial world, yea, the commercial system must be brought into subjection to Righteousness and all of the co-workers in this great system must reckon Righteousness to be the hope of their Redemption. They must realize Righteousness is the only Hope of the Redemption of all of the systems, the commercial system, the labor system, the spiritualistic system, the religious world of expression and all of our divers expressions must be reckoned and must reckon Righteousness in all of their activities. By this we shall have a Righteous Government, but we cannot expect to have a Righteous Government until those who are cooperating in this great scheme of things, whether they are conscious of it or not, they must bring themselves into subjection to the common law of Righteousness, of just dealing between man and man.
How could or how do you expect to exist in this country if there is a continued mistreatment of the employees by the employers and if there is a continuous mistreatment and a dishonest service to the employers by the employees? Men must learn to be honest, competent and true in all of their endeavors and be the same at their employer's absence as he would be in his personal presence; and the employee must be the same in expression, in deeds and in actions concerning the matter at the absence of the employer, the personal absence of the employer, as he would be in his personal presence.
We will bring capital and labor together and they must work harmoniously together to be lifted out of the misery, lacks, wants and limitations such as they are undergoing. But as I thought for consideration, at this day and at this time they come paying women only one dollar a day. It is an outrage. It is a disgrace to the commercial world and if such would continue they would bring hardships upon themselves, for the Spirit of MY Presence will not tolerate it.
Then they wonder why are there so many sit-down strikes and other strikes among the laboring workers. They are earning good wages, they are demanding more and more and more and more, because the employers where they have a chance to do so, a good many of them, are demanding more and more and more and more of the employees and refusing to pay them their dues as they promised to pay them, and even promising to pay then less and less and less. Then the spirit will rise in those who are representatives of the unions and will demand men to stop working for such classes of people. I will not tolerate it, even though I may not be classed as the Founder of a union.
But we shall have a Righteous Government and men must stop and consider, from the least to the greatest, that GOD must have access among us and that GOD is Righteousness; that GOD of Whom I AM now speaking is Justice; that GOD of Whom I AM now speaking is Truth, Equity and Fair Dealing. Aren't you glad!
I mention that point here in High Falls because it has been brought to MY Attention. Therefore, I wish to say those of you representing ME, if you go on a job you should know what you are going for and demand a living wage, for you have to pay for what you eat and drink and wear. If you do not, someone else does. Just because GOD has so arranged that you can live on much less than you could before you saw ME, this does not say you should go and enslave yourselves. Forty cents a hour is a small pay for a grown-up person.
Take these thoughts to consideration. I feel as I said and I have said as I have felt and I speak as I have spoken and I have spoken as I have thought. I have thought as I am thinking: Righteousness, Truth and Justice must have free access among us.
Now if you wish to give a person something, that is up to you; but if you allegedly are working for a salary, demand your salary, and know what you are requesting before you go on the job, and see that the agreement is made — nothing less than a gentleman's agreement and a gentleman's agreement is your word and your word is your bond and your bond is your security. If your word fails, fail or fall whichever, your word being your security and your bond, you are not trustworthy, you are un-honorable, you are dishonest, you are untrue. but nothing should be gone on unless there is an agreement whereby you could be protected and would be protected in that you do, and the person with whom you re connected or those with whom you are dealing, as well as you.
How marvelous it will be when you realize it is better to cooperate with ME — I mean those who do not — than it is to ignore Righteousness and Truth and Square Dealing and begin to try to defraud your neighbors by being dishonest to them, by refusing to pay them just what you should pay them, the amount you should pay them and by refusing to give the proper service you should give and such like.
You should not go on the job to idle, to loaf nor to do any thing such as that. You should give to the world the best you have and expect the best to come back to you. Give the best that is in you in all you say and in all you do and GOD will abundantly bless you, but if you give the worst you have as did Cain, who was of the wicked one — he gave that which he did not desire. He gave the refuse to GOD and his offering was not acceptable unto GOD.
So the Spirit of GOD'S Presence is equivalently the same today. When you are giving anything for wages or for nothing, as it may be termed, as gratis whichever, you should give the world the best you have and the best will come back to you. I cannot stress this thought too vividly, for it has been the experience in different places among the employers and the employees. Where there are not unions organized in certain vicinities and certain communities, you find men will try to take the advantage of the employees, try to get them to work as you might say, for a little or nothing, or a little more than nothing. The same like manner in the different places where there are communities like this community here, far away from the major cities and larger towns; they have community stores and such like.
They have the prices far above the actual value of the goods because they know within themselves it is a little trouble for the customer to go to the larger cities and larger towns. People set the prices up, atrocious prices, when it is permitted to be that way; but we shall have a Righteous Government. We shall have low prices and shall give higher wages and have better working conditions for the working people.
I need not have someone to tell ME to do those things. I know it is just and right to do it and we shall have better conditions for the working people as well as for those who are not classed as the working people. We shall have higher wages for the laborers, the employees and we shall be more successful in business by lowering the prices of commodities and selling merchandise at the smallest prices possible. The volume of business will be so increased and so immense until by fast turning over for cash, you will earn more yearly and even monthly than you could dare to do with high prices and yet you will be a blessing to the community and a blessing to the individual customer and customers as they come.
This is the way of Righteousness and this is the way I came — the promise that was to you and to all of the people: GOD would emancipate you. How glorious it is to know the Truth; but to allow the mistreatment of those who think they are in authority , one a little above the other, I will not tolerate. We shall have a Righteous Government, therefore the employee must deal justly and be honest and true and do that which is Just and Right among you, and the employer must do the same; no longer getting men to work for a dollar a day. It is outrageous!
Why, they may say: "I heard that FATHER DIVINE followers can live on five dollars per week." They can, and they should get twenty-five dollars per week for wages and thirty and forty dollars, according to their respective profession or occupation, the position you are filling. Then they should take that money and pay all of their old bills. Some of them have been owing as high as five or six thousand dollars and more than that. When they adjust maters satisfactorily in the sight of both GOD and man and clear their conscience and make their minds clear and clean from vice and from crime and from sin, even though they are earning more than it takes to actually meet their present obligations, the past obligations must be adjusted and they must make ready for the advancement of a better living condition in our community and in our surroundings.
All of this is to be considered; not only here in the Promised Land but in all parts of the country. As I said a few days ago, MY followers throughout this country are willing and ready to advance about fifteen million dollars or more for improvements. They are willing and ready to do it if they can and will have an equitable adjustment and the public nor the authorities will not use this, My Spirit and MY Work and Mission, for a selfish purpose to defraud them. They are holding back because of this. If they can see where they will not be defrauded because of their endeavors to improve conditions generally, they will willingly advance it and will willingly cooperate with others with whom they have advanced it. That is the Mystery.
GOD can and will abundantly bless the people and lift them up from depressions, lacks, wants and limitations and we will have no more an occasion to be as the masses have been heretofore before I came. There is no need to have depressions in this country; no need to have to spend millions and millions of dollars in charity, for charity; but by working constructively and harmoniously together and intelligently, MY Spirit and MY Presence will emancipate the people and will give them victory over all depressions and they will no longer have an occasion to be in lacks, wants and limitations.
Why is it that millions are destitute today and unemployed? It is because of the misunderstanding and because of the misleading of the people. They mislead the people in the way that they will spend their money, in a way that is destructive instead of spending the money in a constructive way. What said Jesus concerning this Mystery?
"Take up the fragments that nothing be waste."
They waste and they destroy instead of building up and increasing and multiplying, and instead of using the means such as they are spending in a constructive and in an increasing and in a multiplying way of expression, they are using it to the extreme reverse.
They do those things for the lack of understanding, but firstly for the lack of love one for the other. When they learn to "love ye one another," they will work cooperatively and work for the common good of each other and all will become to be more successful and more prosperous.
It has long since been declared:
"A willful waste will cause," or "will make a woeful want."
They destroy food stuff; they prohibit you from growing food stuff; have land idle when land should be under cultivation year after year, and only have a vacation once in a certain length of time. If they cultivate the land correctly, properly, whichever, they will not have an occasion to give the land a continuous vacation. The land, to the extreme reverse, can continue its occupation in producing and bringing forth fruit and vegetation for both man and for business. By so doing mankind will have a plenty to eat and they will be independent, both of the rich and the poor and none will be as they have been — without employment and without comfort and convenience for themselves and for others.
We are looking forward for a great change to take place in our commercial system as well as in the capitalistic system, for each of these expressions shall work harmoniously together and true spirituality shall have dominion with Righteousness, Truth and Justice, just as we have it, and each person in endeavoring to deal with his fellow brother will do it Justly and think on terms of Righteousness instead of selfishness. For when a person would try to get a grown-up woman or man to work for a dollar a day, it is plain to see that that person even if he is not conscious of it, he is working against himself, for the time will come shortly if they would continue it, that others will attempt to take things in their hands and prohibit them from even having a chance to have the help they have had.
Take these thoughts to consideration, and as you live in this recognition, by working cooperatively, MY Spirit will abundantly bless you, bless the community, cause those of our surroundings to become to be prosperous, healthy and happy that will live and do accordingly. I thank you.
