The 1950's story of the Forest Hills, Newark, New Jersey home and Re. Boyer and his family is very interesting.
The home was purchase by a group of nurses that were followers of FATHER DIVINE but when they moved in and the neighbors noted that they were of different complections and nationalities they went to the city and state authorities to get them out supposedly on the grounds that it was a single family dwelling and the authorities agreed.
FATHER understood their motivation but HE and the nurses agreed to comply with their request. FATHER then mover the entire family of Rev. Boyer into the home. The family had 16 children and wit others of the family there were about 20 of them. The authorities would have loved to refuse them but had no legal grounds to do so and the Boyer family moved in. The neighborhood was integrated but most important the school system there was also integrated. The school children were wholeheartedly accepted and soon the whole problem disappeared. Once again FATHER had the Victory!
