FATHER DIVINE holds the reins, not only of not only these horses,
but of all government and the universe itself.
Addressing FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE, one of the staff members approached the subject which FATHER so often stresses, the Pendulum of Equilibrium, by referring to a speech given by MOTHER a few days before.
MOTHER DIVINE'S words, she said, were very consoling as She spoke of the privilege followers have to be hid in the love of FATHER DIVINE where things that are going on in the world today cannot disturb them, picturing the Pendulum of Equilibrium swinging not necessarily in the negative but in the positive as things are equalized by it.
Pinpointing instances of the positive emerging, then the negative swinging out with this great pendulum, MOTHER said:
"My mind went to the various situations in the world such as in Mississippi, in the negative and I know FATHER, YOU are working that out. I was thinking of the selection and election of the representative of Ghana as President of the General Assembly of the United Nations. They said there was no other nomination. Then Mr. Jones, who was made President of Tammany Hall, the Democratic organization in Manhattan. I thought of the atrocities in the Belgium Congo, which is in the negative and would be very disturbing, but FATHER, YOU know the cause of all these things. It's a law: as we sow, so shall we reap. FATHER, YOU said at the time of the Korean War when some of the G. I.'s were p;ut in a truck and gasoline was poured on them and they were set fire to, that they could have been offspring of some of those southerners who had done such as that to other people. We know that the Belgium Congo is one of the richest countries in Africa in natural resources and has been greatly exploited with no effort to help the natives benefit by it. At the time they were given their independence, it was brought out that no effort had been made to even train them to even take over the reins of government. So, as that Pendulum of Equilibrium swings in that direction, we can be glad and rejoice for justice, justice, justice! It doesn't matter who! Justice shall be meted out and eventually things will be leveled out and there will be peace."
MOTHER continued, "So we thank YOU, FATHER DEAR, to not be disturbed no matter what comes or goes, but rest in the knowledge that YOU are going to have all dominion and all authority, because YOU said YOU would not be discouraged and YOU would not be deterred in YOUR efforts to establish YOUR Kingdom on this earth plane. We thank YOU for that consolation, FATHER DEAR, and we thank YOU for the privilege and glorious opportunity we have to be a ransom for the world, to be living sacrifices to enact these principles for which You have come in a Body to establish."
Picturing Woodmont moving out as the pendulum swings, MOTHER said, "In the Woodmont consciousness I see representatives of the nations of the world. Isn't it beautiful how FATHER has established this unity and this peace and this love and this abundance and this joy — the security in the consciousness of GOD'S Presence? FATHER, we love YOU. We love YOU beyond measure, FATHER, because the more YOU lift us and we can see your great Love for humanity, the magnitude of YOUR Plan and Purpose on this earth plane, our love grows deeper and deeper as we are so indebted to You, FATHER Dear. I just thank YOU to give us the capacity and stamina to give YOUR Love back to YOU as we desire to."
The secretary said she had been much consoled by MOTHER'S Words and the thought that FATHER is holding the reins with everything under HIS control, as she retired that evening.
As she slept, she dreamed she was traveling on a bus, carrying a Bible, with the ONE with her WHO lives forever and ever. Their destination was a community of churches and as they arrived they walked toward a rectangular court. The beauty the churches lent the atmosphere was past describing in words, she said.
But the people, dignitaries and other well dressed people, who crowded the square were only going into one of the churches and then only to eat. The ONE Who was with her said something about it being left desolate and in the twinkling of an eye, she explained, all the buildings had vanished. There was nothing left but a hazy mist that had arisen from the demolished buildings that were leveled and debris was scattered about. The sight was awesome to her after seeing the beauty of the buildings, but through the haze, she could see frames of new buildings already going up, but only in outline.
As she came to herself, she was still holding the Bible and she heard a young male choir singing a chant that concluded with the words"Honoring the right — righting the wrong." This she said, she considered to be the meaning of the Pendulum of Equilibrium. The significance of the Bible she was holding — the similarity of her vision to the Biblical experience of the Disciples and the way they must have felt when Jesus predicted the destruction of the temple. As He walked and talked with them, He showed them the temple and all of its magnificent buildings at Jerusalem, that took Solomon forty years to build, and He said to them in affect, "Behold these buildings, see the buildings? Not a stone shall be left, one upon another, of these buildings.
Then she said she remembered that FATHER DIVINE has said, He that has built up can also tear down, that it might be built up again to perfection. "He taketh away the first that He might establish the second." (Hebrews 10:9.)
The vision also revealed, she said, that the people were going to church for form and fashion, reaching out for the material rather than the spiritual. This reminded her of a Message in which FATHER spoke about the Kingdom of GOD not being meat and drink, but righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Ghost. (Romans 14:17.)
Speaking to a group of student ministers from a Philadelphia seminary after one of them said that since dining with FATHER he didn't want to dine any other place, FATHER DIVINE said:
"I am quite sure our young minister and students for the ministry have heard and know quite well, the Kingdom of GOD is not meat and drink but it is Righteousness Joy and Peace in the Holy Ghost. The food that we serve for the sustenance of our bodies is but a slight sketch and a reflection of a percent of a fraction of a grain I AM administering to the souls of men . . . I hope all of our visiting friends will see Democracy in Action the next time they come, and to see it and see the kind of world in which We shall live! The kind of world where there are no Races . . . no Creeds . . . no Colors! Where all are living in Unity of the Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose and there is no divisibility among us. . . But do not base your thoughts on the material food and the material things alone . . . Of course, it is true, at times the great demonstration of the material things of life may cause you to overlook the significance of the Work and Mission of the Truth I AM teaching and the very work that saves men alive from death and destruction!" And as he went out of the temple one of his disciples said unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
And as he sat upon the mount of olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these tings shall be fulfilled?
And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

"If you had never seen ME Personally, if you had never heard MY Message from a Personal point of view, I told you those things in the Law, before Jesus came!
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water that is under the earth."
"You better love GOD, for GOD has made some ready for this great day! Unless you fall in line and join in heart and hand with all of your spirit, soul, body and mind, you will surely be left behind!
"You can see I have hardly left the First and Second Commandments yet, in this judgment. I merely go to the First and Second Commandment! I have hardly finished this First one yet. This is the beginning of the Great Judgment. Judgment. begins at the House of GOD!' Can you not see the mystery?
"It was more distinctly described and authorized in the setting apart of a Residence for GOD, that it might be called HIS House from a natural point of view; that Judgment. might start right here among you whom I have allowed to come so near, in this House of GOD. I thank you!"
