During a discussion of national and international affairs including the recent flare-up in this country between capital and labor and so many of the unions striking, this discussion is transcribed to give you first-hand information of FATHER'S Views, with FATHER, as the Wayshower, teaching leading and guiding them into the right course they should take to bring about Peace, Harmony and Unity among themselves. Thus, it would be wise for them also to take strict cognizance of the Golden Rule and institute it also in their every activity, for where there is Unity and Harmony through participation and co-0peration Peace and Satisfaction will inevitably result.

(The foregoing statement is that of the transcriber, and the following is the office discussion, with FATHER speaking firstly as follows:)
You see, it would teach the people a lesson by MY being here as by MY being in New York. I lifted the wage scale to overflow and now be it known to you and to all the inhabitants of the world at large, if the people do not do that which is just and right and comply with Righteousness and Equity according to the will of GOD in business and trade for the common people, they will get the worst of it. It is a pre-evidence in the experience of the labor unions suing all the capitalists for millions and millions of dollars. Just think of it.
Well, they wouldn't take heed to MY Message and now they are getting it; and labor thinks it has capital down and it means to keep him down if he can and bring him on a common level with others. Scripturally speaking it was prophetically spoken:
"He shall make the hilly ways level and the rough ways plain and he shall exalt the valleys and the plains and bring the mountains and hills low"
So, that is what I AM doing. Just think of it! Ford is being sued for two hundred and eight million dollars of back pay. Two hundred and eighty million dollars of back pay!
Secretary: Well, FATHER, I guess he is over a billionaire and they consider he surely wont miss that money.
FATHER: They do. They consider, if they get half a billion or more from him, he wouldn't miss it.
Secretary: He has more money than he could ever spend.
FATHER: Even though he went and turned all his billions over to his son, his son died and it all came back to him. So now labor is requesting a part of that which they had made or caused the great capitalist to profit.
Secretary: What are they claiming it on, back pay or what?
Another Secretary: Portal to portal.
FATHER: Yes, portal to portal — back pay. They consider they should have been paid from the time they entered the premises until the time they left the premises. Then they consider that it will also strike many fields of activity.
Secretary: FATHER, they consider they have a precedent in law to where this firm settled for millions of dollars out of court.
FATHER: Well, that was done even before this issue came forth so effectively. It was done voluntarily by this great capitalist.
Secretary: It is getting to the point where YOU are the only One that will be able to settle it.
FATHER: It is Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! It is written of ME:
"I shall be a swift witness against them that oppress the widow and the orphan and the hireling and his wages and will not come nigh me to judgment"
See Malachi, third chapter. People do not kick so much now on paying at least ten dollars more a week than what they have been accustomed to paying if you ask them for it and if you are worthy, because they know if they do not pay it, they see something is coming worse. If all capital would have to pay all its employees for the last twenty-five or thirty years past, all that which is rightly due them according to the present wage scale, and make it retroactive from now as for the past, the present and the future . . .
Secretary: They might as well go bankrupt — turn over all their capital to labor.
FATHER: That is what they mean to do — to make them use their money unselfishly. When you stop and look at it in one sense of the word, capital has used her skill and ability and chicanery, to a great measure, to enslave and force labor to serve and yet only give them a minimum portion of the profits they make for them and they keep the major portion of what they could earn. And it was said, When a enterprise can produce enough for one man to be earning three or four hundred thousand dollars a year, one man of the firm be profiting three or four hundred thousand dollars a year, even say at that, and the laborers not earning more than about a thousand dollars a year profit . . .
Secretary: It is true, and sometimes they do not even earn that much profit. They earn that mush gross and have to pay their expenses out of it.
FATHER: If they refuse to do that which is just and right, eventually something may come and that may be a law; I mean under this present law, to cause capital to divide or share the profits equally and render the wealth on a common level with the common people. That is the part, or the thought of the "sharing the wealth" proposition advocated by Huey Long.
Secretary: A socialist idea.
FATHER: Yes, and then the New Deal proposition. There are many different issues presented and represented in different administrations, not necessarily the person or party, but it was the time for an issue to be made concerning the situation to reverse the gears of public thinking, that they might think differently and act accordingly. That is wonderful! And by this, of course, from time to time different issues would be made in the different administrations of the different political parties, but it does not necessarily mean that it was a party. It was not the party necessarily, for some of the very party of the institutor of the issue that has been instituted in government, some of their own party may oppose it, the same as the New Deal; but it was a time and a season for that issue to come forth into expression to cause the general public to change or reverse its gears of thinking.
Secretary: They called it a new era, I think, on the account of the New Deal.
FATHER: Yes, a new era — the time that it would come forth if not in one issue, it would institute itself in the consciousness of the people in some way because it was time for a change. It is wonderful! Now, this thought is, as I have said, I will lift up the wage scale — the living standard for the people and I shall have it universally as I have it jurisdictionally and all of the people shall live in peaceful, comfortable and pleasant resting places and none shall lack in GOD'S Abundance, for
"The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof."
Therefore the time is ripe for this to be instituted in that which is deemed government, in business and in the affairs of men, that Equity and a square deal for them might have free access! If something did not intervene, the higher standard of living could not be lifted — if something did not intervene or interfere with the former system of things. That is why men sought business, profession and trade. They sought it to take the advantage of others, each of these issues; because they felt as if though without business, profession or trade to be among those of the common people, especially common labor, they could not get above their fellow citizens. But to get above their fellow citizens, they must take from their fellow citizens in some way. It is wonderful!
For this cause it is essential for a higher wage scale to be lifted and a higher standard of living for all the people and for more comfort and convenience for humanity universally so that Righteousness and Justice might have access among us. I thank you.
