FATHER DIVINE in Ulster County
The news that FATHER was in the Promised Land and at this particular juncture Personally at Stone Ridge, had spread and those from surrounding extensions appeared as the banquet proceeded. Many testimonies came forth of healings and of spiritual redemption. However, one speaker told of interesting experiences in far away lands, and in so doing brought out a most interesting parable of the attraction of the great Love Magnet which draws souls from every part of the earth. He told of the value of the apparently insignificant little instrument, the compass, which guides men on their way, and further explained how easily one could lose his way if a small bit of steel found its way into the compass, distracting from the true course of travel, adding that in just such a manner can a soul be lost by allowing some thought, word, deed or action to distract its attention from the Fundamental.
The radio being tuned in on the inauguration ceremony of the President of the United States, all listened intently to the oaths taken by both Vice President and President, and the President's inaugural speech. Throughout this speech the Mind and Spirit of FATHER DIVINE could be discerned and occasionally His Own Words and Expression, proving that this Righteousness is truly marching on and must be recognized by the truly marching on and must be recognized by the apparently great and small alike. Of great significance in itself was the President's final statement:
While this duty rests upon me I shall do my utmost to speak their purpose and to do their will, seeking Divine Guidance to help us each and every one to give light to them that sit in darkness and to guide our feet into the way of peace.
After the broadcast, FATHER delivered this wonderful message which has been recorded.
FATHER speaks as follows:
PEACE EVERYONE: Whilst I was listening to the ceremonies a little while ago I thought of what one of the speakers said in reference to the compass and the way it will direct you, the way it will lead you in the direction whereby you will be protected. I thought of the experience of thousands, as would be the experience of the nation today if they would only seek the tested and tried Compass to guide this nation to its destiny.
Whilst listening to the different speeches, as I said, a little while ago, we know in all of My contacts wheresoever I make a contact with one of the executives of our country and state, they will execute some of My Thoughts and they will speak them, into expression. They may not use My exact words but they will put them over in their expressions. So it goes to show you, My Work is not in vain.
Now the question came up a little while ago concerning the rain in Washington and how it was just pouring down. It has been distinctly understood, wheresoever I AM officially invited, recognized and appreciated, if I AM Present or apparently absent, everything works harmoniously. The cosmic forces of nature, they work in harmony with the Demonstrations, but they overlook the fact that it has been past,tested experience, and the experience of those of My Followers whensoever they would have a demonstration, it would always prove to be the Spirit of My Presence there as victorious over conditions. The weather conditions would change, would change for the better. And I thought for consideration how marvelous it is to observe the Truth concerning the mystery, even if a person would take those of us to be insignificant, as we may apparently be, among the nations of the earth and the great organizations, yet they can see, that which they term to be GOD controlling the Cosmic Forces of Nature pays no attention to great things, what they call great things. GOD does not from that angle of expression pay any more attention to those who they call great, than HE does to those whom they call least.
Those of whom they may call insignificant, and the most insignificant person or persons, GOD pays more attention and has more respect for them than HE does for those who are called great apparently,I mean from their angle of expression. They were praying for the rain to stop. The millions were praying for them to have a beautiful day, but through all of the ceremony they did not have it, you see. Why? Because the One of Whom they call GOD, wheresoever HE is, HE paid no attention to their beseechings and their requests because they disrecognized the reality of GOD as has been exemplified. It is indeed Wonderful!
If they could have only humbled themselves enough to have brought themselves into subjection to the Great Fundamental Principle and recognized the Prince of Life and the Adjuster of matters, as you have, with or without the personal presence of any of us, the weather would have been harmonious.
As I was saying in reference to the demonstrations among the school children, when they have great days apparently, the Cosmic Forces of Nature control what they consider in a way the Hand of GOD, and they claim it is the Hand of GOD. Now if this be true according to their version, if they term it to be the Hand of Nature and controlled by the Infinite, and only GOD can control such conditions, why is it those conditions are not adjusted satisfactorily for them? It is because of the lack of faith in GOD and the lack of obeisance to His Command. They lack the recognition of His Actual Presence to control those things. Because of this, wheresoever GOD is from their angle of expression, you could plainly tell them it is because they fail to recognize GOD in Reality and live according to His Teaching as recorded in the Scripture, that their prayers are not heard and answered.
These Thoughts are well worth considering. The Cosmic Force of Nature they obey the Spirit of My Presence in cooperation with the True and the Faithful who are in obeisance to My Command, to My Life and to My Teaching by endeavoring to walk in the Light that I have given. The Cosmic Forces of Nature they work in harmony with us collectively and organizationally wheresoever we assemble together for righteousness' sake. In any outdoor Demonstration you can see the reaction of the weather condition changing to be harmonious for the True ant the Faithful of My followers. Now is not that a wonderful thought to consider!
GOD looks not on the outward appearance of men but GOD looks in the heart. GOD observes not the loftiness of men, as men count the loftiness, but GOD through His Compassion and Mercy for all humanity may look upon the insignificant as being termed the significant, in the sight of the people, and have Mercy and Compassion upon them. These thoughts are well worth considering that you might realize the most insignificant shall eventually be recognized and shall be universally recognized as the Supreme Leading Factor in the hearts and lives and the affairs of all humanity. They shall see it! If the Cosmic Forces of Nature work in harmony with us in all of our outdoor Demonstrations, it is an open expression to let them see and know, and for you to tell them, what GOD has done for you and what GOD is actually doing for all mankind who will bring their bodies into subjection and live thus accordingly.
Oh, it is a privilege to realize it, and as you say, that little compass will guide you and direct you in the positive direction if you will allow it to, by refusing to allow anything else to get in contact with it, especially anything metal, like. The metal,likeness of the object that comes in contact with it, somewhat imitating the little hand, in other words that little needle that points the way, somewhat as an imitation of it, will attract its attention and cause it to work inaccurately because it has gotten in contact with it. This thought is well worth considering!
Cleanse your thoughts, your minds, your wills and your desires and all of your surroundings from all connections that would attract that needle of love to human affection, or any other mortal expression as a tendency to attract your attention and cause you to be inclined in any direction saving the direction that you might guide your way, or be guided by that point accurately. Oh it is a privilege to realize what GOD can do and what GOD is actually doing as you bring your bodies into subjection and live according to His Teaching.
There are those in Washington today who are looking forward for a brighter world, but the brighter world, in other words, the brighter Day has truly come if they will but accept of the Fundamentals for which we stand. If they will but build upon this Foundation, the Righteous Government Platform, of which we have drafted from the Righteousness of the Righteous minds of those who have been truly converted of GOD, and recognize GOD'S Actual Presence, such a recognition in itself by past experience of millions, I could say by the past experiences of millions, can and will tell them daily it is the only hope of salvation. It is telling them this Spirit and this Presence as I AM, as one of the last speakers said, it matters not whether you have a political president in this country or any other country, or have one not, it matters not as to whether you have one or do not have one, the Spirit of My Presence and the Presence of My Spirit, if you live exactly according to the Truth, will lead you victoriously and will give you Victory over every obstacle and will bring you out more than victorious! Oh, it is a privilege to realize it, for at the time of the so, called depressions, in and at the time of the so, called hardships and panics of the last eight years, this is the time that the Spirit of My Presence unfolded and manifested the Majesty of the Almighty as never before.
Over and above every opposition, over and above every criticism, over and above every persecution, the Spirit of My Presence as a conquering King, with or without a Body, has always come out more than victoriously a Conqueror over every adverse condition, over all of those conditions, not only for Myself as a Person but bringing Victory to millions who have been subjected to adverse and undesirable conditions.
Those who have been brought into subjection to hardships, depressions and the oppressors, adverse and undesirable conditions, inexpressible, My Spirit and My Presence have brought them out more than victoriously a conqueror!
Therefore you can plainly see it is not so much as to whether the President is just or unjust, the Spirit of My Presence, as you have declared and millions of others, shall go forth conquering and to conquer continually and you have declared, GOD alone shall reign. Now if perchance through the Condescension, Love and Mercy of GOD to mankind GOD finds in some man, or any man, or all mankind, the Sprit of Righteousness existing in them, ruling and controlling their conscious mentality as well as being submerged in their subconsciousness, I may transmit this privilege and this honor to those of whom I may find worthy. It is the privilege of them to qualify themselves according to the oath of office they have sworn in by the Bible and by the Name of GOD lastly that they will fill the oath of office accurately and will deal justly between man and man and do that which is right for all of them.
Oh, it is a privilege to realize through the Condescension of GOD, in His Compassion to mankind, He has brought you the victory at the time of so, called difficulty, GOD in His Love and Mercy brought you victory, and victory for millions of others over depression, showing that GOD can and will, with or without a person, lift everyone who has fallen, if they will allow Him to; care for the dying; will prove to the world conclusively GOD is Merciful and GOD will save! But remember, these diplomats and the dignitaries may not bring themselves into subjection to the Fundamentals for which we stand. If they do not, they will be failures, but if they do, My Spirit and My Presence will help them. My Spirit and My Presence will help them as It has helped you, for if It could and can do for a few what It has done for you, It can and It will do for the majority, in other words all, even as It was exemplified and manifested itself in the midst of you, My followers.
It is a privilege to realize victory is in the recognition and in the Spirit of Righteousness, Truth and Justice as we exercise it, especially exercise Righteousness, exercise Righteousness in our dealings, with the spirit of accurateness, that we might not have an expression of violence to receive Justice, but that we might express Righteousness continually, and Justice, that the two, yes, the three might unify themselves together as an abstract expression among the nations, as the FATHER, the Son and the Holy Ghost. GOD expresses Himself and speaks in the language that mankind might be able to understand Him. GOD will speak politically, nationally, and will speak scientifically to the scientists. Oh it is a privilege to realize the time has truly come GOD has actually glorified His Son, and His Son must be recognized among the children of men!
Remember, this is not an expression relating to matter nor to personality of individuals, nor to an individual, but it is an expression stressing the Sonship Degree of Unfoldment as was in Jesus, must be recognized as the Wayshower for all humanity.
I am the way, the truth and the light

No man cometh to the FATHER but by me.
It was an expression as exemplified in Jesus as a Sample and as an Example for humanity. He spoke in their language. He is speaking the same today, in the language that they might understand, and showing Himself to all mankind in their image and in their likeness that they might see as they are, so is He. It is a privilege to observe the mystery!
In the likeness of man came I into the world, and in the likeness of GOD man was made. In GOD'S Likeness and Image man was made, and mankind through the misconception of the truth, the mortal version, human tendencies, fancies and pleasures, dispels the vision of GOD, in other words the observation of GOD. GOD was not seen among them, but they presented themselves as men to be declared to be in the Likeness of Him, but after a while the Spirit of GOD'S Presence revealed to the children of men that mankind, as representatives of GOD, were not in the Likeness of Him. They had disfigured themselves and caused mankind to show Him among them only as they were, but HE could not appear in that likeness; but as a Sample and as an Example in the re,actuated expression of the CHRIST, appeared apparently in their likeness, but not by nature. Figuratively speaking in their likeness, yes, but not by nature, for the Adamic State of Consciousness and the DIVINE Consciousness of mind, they are two distinct expressions.
When mankind shall have put on the CHRIST Mind and let this Mind be in them that was also in CHRIST JESUS, the Law of the Spirit of Life that was in CHRIST JESUS shall have been developed in them. Mankind shall put off mortality there and then, and immortality will be plainly seen.
Oh, it is a privilege to realize man in mortal consciousness cannot copy after the Fashion of GOD, but they have attempted to mislead and cause mankind to believe that they are. But what says the scripture?
They are not subject to the Law of GOD, neither indeed can be.
It is a matter of impossibility for mortality to be subject to the Law of GOD. Mortality is in opposition! But if they are converted from that mortal state of consciousness and put off the mortal concept of things, and put on the immortal concept of things by being transformed by the renewing of their minds, than and there CHRIST to them will come and CHRIST in them will be able to rule and reign as LORD of lords and as KING of kings.
Therefore I say, even in this morning's ceremony, that this is the beginning of a new history, in other words the beginning of a new era. We are looking forward to see the Truth as determined, or as depicted whichever, as the Chief Executive of this Country recognizing GOD in reality in that body or in another. Now it is immaterial to ME whether it is exemplified in the present Administration or in another, or in one Party. It makes no difference. It matters not so long as Righteousness, Truth and Justice shall come to the surface and shall be recognized by all of us.
When this shall have been established, all mankind politically and nationally shall recognize GOD from the angle of expression that you all are now observing Him. It is indeed Wonderful! I shall not be discouraged and I shall not be disturbed until I shall have accomplished My Endeavor to bring about a lasting establishment of Righteousness, Truth and Justice through legality, that mankind might recognize it by recognition and the realization of GOD'S Actual Presence and by those of My true followers being substantiated in such faith to the degree that they are willing to sacrifice their lives for Righteousness, Truth and Justice as men are willing to sacrifice theirs for their country!
Upon this Foundation if you will stand, the very spirits and expressions of oppositions will not be able to prosper against it. It has been declared by the Spirit of My Presence from the Sonship Degree, and I have brought it down here:
Upon this Rock I shall build My Church and the very gates of 'the other place' shall not prevail against it.
Nothing can prosper against the Fundamental, and neither against the Foundation upon which we stand. Those things that rise in opposition they are falling, by the infallible Words of GOD as spoken through Jesus. It is a matter of impossibility for them to be prosperous in rising in opposition, for GOD has declared it, and the earth will pass away before my words shall fail.
Oh, it is a privilege to realize you are not merely depending on the election and the reign of the President of the United States as a man. Through My Condescension I have put forth a Sample and an Example to him and to all of them, that they might copy after this fashion and get the support of Him Who liveth forever. They can get the support of Him Who liveth forever, because through My Condescension the Constitution of the United States of America I endorsed for Righteousness, Truth and Justice' sake and for some special, specific purpose; that is, because the United States of America guarantees the religious liberty and freedom of all people, of all of her subjects. By this I know, as well as you, but I know by Personal Experience among you, if mankind can and will live Evangelically and will bring their bodies into subjection in Righteousness, Truth and Justice wholeheartedly and will be governed by their highest intuition and be moved by their own individual volunteer volition, they will bring the CHRIST to fruition. They shall bring the CHRIST to fruition, and CHRIST shall be established universally and all mankind shall observe Him.
This is the way whereby the kingdoms of this world will become to be the Kingdom of our GOD and His CHRIST, by inculcating and reincarnating the identical Life and Teaching of CHRIST and the Characteristics of Jesus as exemplified. By those of the True and the Faithful observing Righteousness, Truth and Justice politically and building upon the Foundation of it, refusing to deviate from it, by so doing why the very inculcated Spirit and Life and Idea that has been in the very "begettion", in the begetting of such an expression, will come to fruition, for you will give birth to that Idea that has been conceived in the Words that Jesus has spoken.
The Words that Jesus conveyed, you have heard ME plainly say, every Word must be fulfilled in these Days, in the last Days, and those of you who observe the Truth and will adhere to it wholeheartedly, the very germs of Righteousness, Truth and Justice and the germs of the recognition and the realization of GOD'S Presence will be inculcated and reincarnated in your hearts, in your lives and in your affairs, and they will be quickened and will be given birth to in your actions and in your deeds. When this is done, then and there you will be able to declare from a political point of view, from a social point of view, from a business point of view, CHRIST has truly Come. Why has HE come? Because HE came forth into action. HE has come into your daily lives you live. That is the mystery of the Reign of Him of Whom you say I AM.
GOD reigns! David declared it! You all have read it and heard it.
The LORD reigneth. Let the multitudes of the isles be glad and clap their hands.
The little hills and mountains, they skip like lambs. Oh, it is a privilege to observe the Scripture is being fulfilled in your hearing!, Oh, it is a privilege!, that which has been spoken in the outer and in the invisible. But as you believed it sincerely, you incarnated it and conceived it, that you might give birth to it in your lives and in your affairs.
We are not asking man especially to do this, that nor the other, for as the speaker said, we know where we stand. We know as far as politics is concerned, those of the politicians, a good many of them, have used their influence to try to crush the Fundamentals for which we stand. Many of them have striven to prohibit the access of CHRIST on earth among men. This goes to show you definitely that GOD can and will stand, over and above every opposition, regardless to their help and regardless to their stand, it matters not. Is not this an open expression?, the Land that has long since been Promised coming forth into outer expression as a land of plenty, as a sample and as an example?
Mankind can plainly see this is an expression of the government of our present civilization in this country and if others would but accept of it, this Spirit as a Leading Star would lead them out of depressions and lacks and wants and limitations and all other hardships the millions have been and are now undergoing.
In the conclusion of the President's speech he mentioned in reference to being divinely led or guided, that they might be led into Peace. We speak of this because this is nothing strange among you. We are not merely saying Peace today and preparing for war tomorrow, but we are stressing Peace and declaring to the nations of the earth our Righteous Government Department with its auxiliaries must draft a bill to be introduced; therefore if they must have a Secretary of War, have a Secretary of Peace, parallel with the Secretary of War. We must have a law that will pay men to keep us out of war and a law that will fine men if they lead us into war.
Oh it is a privilege to observe the mystery and the significance of My Activities, what I have done and what I AM doing. We shall have a Secretary of Peace in this Country. A Secretary of War may remain for a little while, but the Secretary of Peace parallel with the Secretary of War shall be established, or the Secretary of War must be done away with as a law in this Country.
Oh it is a privilege to realize, GOD in the midst of you is Mighty to save. Truly might have the Pharisees said,"If we let this man go, the whole world will go after Him." It was His Mission on earth among the people to bring about laws, rules and regulations different from theirs; therefore they brought about a law, in other words enacted a law that such a man should die because He was going about to destroy their law apparently, their rules and their regulations.
But it is a privilege to realize the Work of CHRIST has not diminished and it has not by any means ceased to go on. It is going on conquering and to conquer, accomplishing that for which HE came. Truly might have the Wise Men spoken this as they caught a gleam of the mystery, by what they had heard and what they could learn through the song of the angels: "Glory to GOD in the highest and on earth Peace, Good Will toward men" Do you not see that this identical Message must be enacted in Congress? How dare the different executives of a country to swear in men by the Bible and refuse to act and recognize the Fundamentals that the Bible was inspired by!
"Glory to GOD in the highest, and on earth Peace, good will toward men," is coming this way into expression. The time is not far away when mankind shall recognize GOD'S Presence as a Living Factor and will accept of the Message of the angels in action by finding Glory and giving Glory to GOD in the highest and on earth Peace towards men. When this shall have been established, mankind will not look upon this Movement as something insignificant but they will look upon it as the most significant expression of all civilization, for it is actuating and materializing and personifying the very Mission, Calling and the Works of GOD as was exemplified in Jesus the CHRIST.
They will no longer ignore the expressions you use "PEACE." They will no longer ignore the expressions of "PEACE" and "IT IS WONDERFUL!" Before they get Peace they must pass through the State of Wonderfulness. The Child that was born came firstly, and the Son that was given came secondly. The Government was upon His Shoulder, and "He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty GOD . . ." They are obliged to recognize these different states of expression before they come into the conscious recognition and the realization of Peace, and as they pass from one degree of unfoldment to another, after a while they will find themselves going up to the Everlasting FATHER and than the Prince of Peace!
When this shall have been recognized by all mankind we will have Peace on earth and Good Will toward men, and all of the inhabitants of the earth shall be united together in One and there will be no more death among them. The Condescension of GOD and the Lord Himself shall be with them and
"HE shall be their GOD and they shall be His People. GOD shall wipe all tears from their eyes. There shall be no more sorrow, no more crying and no more pain, for the former things are passed away." Do you not see we getting away from the former things?
Oh it is a privilege to realize the Mission of CHRIST on earth among men is to be exemplified. It is a privilege to realize it is to be universalized and made common to the children of men, and the dignitaries of our present day must recognize all men the same as them and bring themselves into subjection to the One and the only Great Cause. When this shall have been established, then and there the recognition of CHRIST will adjust matters satisfactorily, and inharmonious conditions will be eradicated and dispelled from among us, and Peace on earth shall be our portion now, henceforth and forever. I thank you.
