FATHER and MOTHER PENINNAH DIVINE

This significant, beautiful and constructive interview was given by FATHER to a brother who unfortunately had practically all of his belongings stolen from him, which left him very unhappy and depressed; but after he was blessed with this profound interview, he was quickly relieved of his burden and was renewed mentally, spiritually and physically.
FATHER profoundly explains the reason why individuals at times meet with such unfortunate circumstances; and as HE turns on His powerful spiritual searchlight of Truth, the individuals in question can readily see their errors; and if they are willing to acknowledge them to FATHER in all humbleness and in the spirit of meekness and humility, they are automatically purged from them, to go in peace and sin no more.
Therefore, as FATHER'S Words are impersonal and universal, this interview is transcribed for the benefit of everyone in the same category; and for all those who are not in this category it is well worth considering, for an ounce of prevention is worth millions of tons of cure. For thy beautiful words of Spirit and Life, ALMIGHTY GOD, we humbly thank thee! (The foregoing statements are those of the transcriber, and the interview in part is as follows:)
Brother: I want to report about my things. They took my suitcase, etc., and that was kind of a severe blow, and I left myself open for that.
FATHER: I AM glad you caught the thought of it and you could see it was a cause in other words, a loophole in your mentality or experience in some way, that would give vent, give access to the spirit of thievery or dishonesty to come in. By this, you have a chance to examine yourself.
Brother: Yes, Sir. I kind of accepted that but it really did disturb me and I felt very unhappy and disturbed by that. The thieves might have broken in and stolen my life away.
FATHER: Well, that is a true thought.
Brother: But I know I have this to thank YOU for: I know Your Spirit knows where all these things are. The suitcase has been returned. The thief brought that back.
FATHER: Well, how did he bring it back?
Brother: It was just found in the fire tower. The contents had been turned over and over, but most of it was there. My suit was missing and my stop watch was missing, etc.
FATHER: When the message came to ME, I suppose it was right after it happened, that some one got in and took everything you had, I said, it is nothing lost in the great Universal Mind Substance! So you need not fear of it not returning, and I felt and feel as I knew, and know as I did know, that it would return if you were true and faithful.
Brother: Yes, Sir. Well, I thank YOU, FATHER, for the experience, because it may be a little bit drastic in a sense, but after all, they are things that can be replaced; and it wasn't so much that, but it was the principle of the thing. I knew it must have been a definite and big cause for it, otherwise it just would not have happened like that. I thank YOU, FATHER, for the experience. I don't feel a bit unhappy about it now, saving for the fact that I must have transgressed the Law. I know if I would have been faithful in my trust, it would not have been anything at all lost.
FATHER: And many times I have known of the police department, through their detectives, getting a-hold of the one committing the crimes. They know how to go about it when they will; lots of times they may not. Sometimes some of them may not be so interested in putting themselves out so much to make the investigation, but if they feel that they will be paid, many times they will make a thorough investigation.
But as you said about anything being open I mean, your mind being open or you, yourself, being open to such an attack that would cause you to be disturbed in any way, as I have often said, there is a cause for every defect. One must search themselves and see that they are honest in words, deeds and actions and in every deed and in every transaction by one putting themselves on the scale of Justice with the Spirit of Equity and weigh themselves and even the mentality from every angle expressible with the Pendulum of Equilibrium; the Spirit of My Presence on those terms will find the cause and the effect and cause for the effect, and if there is anything inaccurate or unjust in thoughts, words, deeds or actions, matters will be adjusted satisfactorily.
Brother: It need not necessarily be a cause, FATHER, as of dishonesty on my part; I mean to say, money or anything like that, because I don't have much to handle.
FATHER: Well, I AM not speaking of that. It is like the experience of one of the followers not long ago lost some money and I explained those thoughts to them and as you have heard, no doubt heard ME say and read where I said in some of My Writings, a person may be dishonest in working on a job. I have explained this. If a person would be earning only sixty-five cents an hour or if they be only earning sixty cents an hour, if they would, through concealment, idle one minute's time and would not want the employer or the ones who would be in charge over them to know that they had idled that time, that one minute's time, that would be at least one penny of ill-gotten gains!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: And that person may live on and accumulate and save up millions of dollars, the same as the great Wall Street crashes come from time to time; many times they have not only been dishonest in a small fraction of a percent of a grain of the amount of wealth they have in acquiring it and in keeping it, but they have done sufficient at times to cause themselves to lose their whole bank roll; yea, even lose their whole estate when all of that could have been avoided and evaded by a just adjustment with the Spirit of Equilibrium to do in all things to others as they would have others do to them.
I have often said that a person can even so much as do such a simple thing as that, not only here and now, to cause such a reaction or repercussion, but just something they have done at times, it may be years back; and I have often said that just like now, the Wall Street millionaires are being disturbed, some of them, although on the other hand, some of them are so glad to see the boost of stocks and bonds, and on the other hand there are some losing thousands and thousands of dollars just by the thought of war, it looks like, before war actually begins, when they think it is on the verge of appearing. Sometimes the stocks will shoot down and it is some cause for that.
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: Just as they have got the ill-gotten gains, they begin to lose it volitionally, So a person could examine themselves and see in words, deeds and actions and in every transaction, how they have been, to see if they have been true, see if they have been honest in every way. Now the quotation of the Bible which says:
'Measure unto others that which ye would have measured unto you,'or words to that effect. So many times employers may not pay the employee every dime or nickel that would be rightfully due the employee, and that employer has added a nickel or dime to his estate that was not justly due him or them; eventually that ill-gotten or ill-acquired wealth that has been acquired by the individual through chicanery, dishonesty or incompetence in some way, it may cause them to lose the whole estate!
Brother; Yes, Sir. I think I begin to see the light a little, Sir.
FATHER: I have often stressed that. I AM not just speaking of you, but I AM speaking of things in general by all people. That is why the Life and the Teaching of CHRIST from the Sonship degree and yea, even through Moses and all Judaism, down to ME, requires the Life of Equity and Justice for all, to do that which is just and right. I have said in Judaism by the mouth of Moses I declared:
'He that would steal an egg would steal an ox.'
I have stressed in My Own Personal quotations and illustrations:
'He that would steal an apple would steal an elephant.'
The simplest dishonesty of aim, of mind and of purpose individuals' aims and purposes and plans must be converted! As I have often said, not only the conversion of persons, but their professions, their business and their trade and their labor! Even capital as well as labor must be converted and born out of that Adamic state of consciousness to be new creatures organizationally!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: Yea, capitalistically and from every other angle expressible, so that the Spirit of Equity and Justice might adjust matters satisfactorily and that all of these things might be done advantageously to the individuals concerned.
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: If there be the slightest deviation of those things or digression in the actuated words of expression, they may bring something upon themselves to result in that which you have experienced. I mean, in a way of disturbance to be chastised severely mentally and spiritually. The individuals may not always be physically chastised, but there may be a chastisement of weight in their experience from a mental and spiritual chastening that might be as severe as that of a physical, and it may be worse!
Brother: Yes.
FATHER: So these thoughts are well worth considering. And when one finds anything that has come up in their experience that is undesirable, if they will examine themselves carefully and analyze situations surrounding them and their connections in business, profession and trade and socially and from every angle expressible, it is possible to find that something that causes any disturbance!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: It is wonderful. And a confession is good for the soul!
Brother: Oh, Yes, Sir!
FATHER: Now that quotation of the Bible and that illustrated commandment may not be just limited to that of making a confession of one's sins from a spiritual point of view that their soul might be saved from physical torture and torment in the old fashioned manner of thinking one would suffer torment for the sins they do, but an open confession is good for your spirit and your mind, and for your will and your desires! It is good for it! An open confession is good for the soul!
Brother: Even as YOU speak, some things come to mind. That is why I say I begin to see the light a little bit.
FATHER: So glad! So it is a wonderful thought to take these thoughts to consideration, for thoughts are things, for one's mentality and spirituality can be diagnosed! To diagnose one's physical condition or physical body and constitution to find out the thing that ails the person from a physiological point of view, it may not be considered a mental examination, but the physiological examination is but an abstract expression of a parable concerning the Mystery of the mental and spiritual examination that one might give themselves and find the cause for any defect, or any disturbance or any undesirable reflection or manifestation in life through the mentality that would cause them to be made unhappy.
Brother: FATHER, I do honestly rejoice in the experience I had because Your side, Sir, is so beautiful and par excellent, as witnessed, and given me this beautiful interview, and my side seems so erroneous to feel that this has happened to me; but I couldn't advance if I didn't suffer a little bit.
FATHER: Sure! Well, it is good for those things to happen at times. I mean things that are apparently undesirable; because if one is persistent in his or her ambition and endeavors to do that which is just and right and desires to make their respective advances, it is essential for one to overcome certain obstructions, whether they be physical or material or just mental and spiritual obstructions; one must overcome those things that they meet or find in the pathway of life before they can make the grade to the mark of their higher calling of GOD, which is in CHRIST Jesus.
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: So it is a wonderful thought. It is a wonderful thought; and this and such an explanation and such a version as My foregoing statement is but the proof of that of which I did say through the mouth of the apostle:
'All things work together for good to them that love the LORD and are the called according to His purpose.'
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: But it is a marvelous thought. And if you are sincere and conscientious and mean to do that which is just and right, each failure will help you some Victory to win!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: Each disappointment will help you to succeed in the future! We have been taught as though I might say, Scripturally, even though it might not be a Scripture or Gospel or Biblical or prophetic quotation, yet it is as it was, an inspiration:
'Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin. Each Victory will help you some other to win.'
That is a true saying.
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: But I AM Present Everywhere! I AM Present in Victory and I AM Present in Failures, but in failures I AM apparently lying dormant and inactive; but when you see your failures, mistakes or disappointments, you can call forth the Adjuster of such matters and you can see that matters can be adjusted satisfactorily and each failure can help you some Victory to win on those terms!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: So be of good courage and be not dismayed even matters not what may happen, as the song says:
'Be not dismayed what e'er betide, GOD will take care of you; Beneath His Wings of LOVE abide, GOD will take care of you!'
Brother: It is wonderful!
FATHER: On those terms it is a matter of impossibility to lose anything from any angle whatsoever, for on those terms you are under the protection of Him who is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent and the One whose LOVE is from Everlasting to Everlasting!
Brother: I know it, Sir.
FATHER: So it is a wonderful privilege.
Brother: I heard You say today in Your Message, "When GOD is Present, the "other fellow" has no existence!" And it made me so happy; but I was downcast because I felt that I had hurt YOU in some way and YOU are so good to us, FATHER, YOU give us so much! I would rather lose my life than deliberately offend YOU, Sir.
FATHER: Well, that is wonderful; but still under the circumstances of what you have lost or would lose from a material point of view, could not and would not affect ME in not any way whatsoever...
Brother: No, Sir.
FATHER: ...but for the good of those concerned, I would like to say, it can be eliminated. Get at the cause and the effect will wane of its own abnormal weight and disappear into its nothingness. So that is what I would consider.
Brother: Well, the best thing for me, FATHER, is to get to work and just eradicate piece by piece everything that doesn't conform to YOUR Teaching, then I will make a clean sweep of the whole lot of it.
FATHER: That's right. Thoughts, words, deeds and actions; and as I afore said, you have heard ME say and seen in My Writings, if you have read after ME much, for many, many long years I have stressed the essentiality of Unity of Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose and the great essential of uniting so effectively that nothing would be done through concealment or deception! Not a word would be said to be concealed from another, especially Him in Whom you trust!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: Not a word, not a thought, not an idea, not an opinion not even an opinion to lodge in one's consciousness or consideration or mentality that would be derogatory or inharmonious to the Fount of your Salvation; for that which is derogatory in opposition or controversial, it is destructive to the individual, yea, to the person and to the person's well-being to controverse or conflict with their Creator! See the mystery?
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: So thoughts, words, deeds and actions; which causes ME to bring to mind a thought as a Sample and as an Example for others, constantly of the experience of one of whom was awakened and not only awakened but quickened and caught up in the Spirit and became to be a prophet; as a lady, a prophetess; and she could see anything that was coming apparently, or anything that had been, and yet it was something in her after the manner of men, subject to the beguilation of Eve, that would tend to and desired to deceive.
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: When she thought she could hide something from ME and I not see it and know it, even though she declared ME her DEITY, her GOD and her Creator, yet she thought as Eve did and as Adam did in the Garden of Eden, that they could do something through deception, yea, through the beguilation of the serpent and I would not see it and know it; and she could latch the door...! I have stressed it so many times.
Brother: Yes, Sir, I have read it.
FATHER: A simple thing as taking your finger, just to move that little button or night latch and latch the door and did not want ME to know it Personally. I said, that could separate you; not only separate you from ME Personally, but it could separate you from ME as the Life and Essence of salvation, for I AM the personification of that Lastly mentioned the Life Substance and Essence of Salvation!
Brother: Yes, Sir!
FATHER: And when she did those things, thinking I did not know, the angel of the LORD appeared unto her as she was taught by the Spirit of GOD, as being termed an angel appearing unto her, and he said that "You are going in one of those holes." The angel of the LORD showed her three holes in the ground! There were three so-called believers of Mine that were going into those holes. I mean, not now necessarily, but I mean there were some ones back around about that time that were with her personally and among us. There were some ones who were predestined to, that by the transgressions and iniquities wherewith they had committed, had made themselves subject to death and destruction! See the Mystery?
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: And sure enough I have been informed that she did go into one of those holes, which meant, in the grave! But it was all because of concealment or deception; something done by the beguilation of Eve handed down from the serpent as he attempted to deceive Eve.
Brother: Yes, I understand.
FATHER: And caused her to believe, and Adam her husband, that whatsoever they did, GOD did not see them; and whatsoever they said, GOD did not hear them. When they believed that, they committed the crime that resulted unto death, and misery even before death; but the main thing was the separation from GOD, because they separated themselves from GOD as a pre- evidence of all mankind all humanity as they would separate themselves from GOD if they would do the simplest thing or say the simplest word they would not want GOD to know, as though GOD had not heard!
Brother: I see that, Sir. I can see that.
FATHER: So these thoughts are well worth considering; and by this, a person can see, if they will diagnose their experience and mentality and their individuality, even diagnose the business, profession, labor and trade and see that all things are converted unto GOD and convince one's self definitely so it might remain once and forever:
'You are bought with a price and you are not your own!'
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: And upon that Foundation if one will stand they will have the Victory once and forever and each failure will help you some Victory to win as well as each Victory will help you some other Victory to win! (FATHER laughs heartily.) It is wonderful!
Brother: LORD, I thank YOU for that.
FATHER: So take these thoughts to consideration, and as you think over your present and past experience and look into the situation surrounding yourself through your mentality and your individuality and your spirituality and even observe your personality, see if it isn't something that caused conditions to result such as you have experienced, that was not so pleasant.
Brother: Yes, Sir. It is lots to be done, Sir.
FATHER: So take these thoughts to consideration. I thought to call your attention back to that experience of years and years ago seems upward of fifty or sixty years ago that those things happened, and they are just as fresh today as they were when they happened as fresh to ME in consideration, for it was an illustrated parable in the actuated words of expression of what would be at all times reckoned, counted in the end and at the time that it would be necessary to show up the mistakes of individuals and what caused them to make mistakes at times deception!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: The Beguilation of Eve! Oh, it is something to consider!
Brother: I can see, Sir, that it is all YOU and nothing of me that there isn't really any me at all, but it is all YOU, and I should really be a part of YOU and express YOU!
FATHER: Not only a part of ME, but unselfishly, unbiasedly, democratically and evangelically, mentally and spiritually and psychologically, it should be ALL ME!
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: That which is deemed You should be ME because the Little Leaven leaveneth the whole lump; and the unwoven Spirit and Mind will cause you to be able to fulfill that quotation of the Scripture, yea, a gospel inspirational song which says:
'I am Thine, O LORD; I have heard Thy voice, and it told Thy Love to me; But I long to rise in Thine arms of faith, and be closer drawn to Thee! Consecrate me now to Thy Service, LORD, by Thy power of Grace DIVINE; Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, and my will be lost in Thine!'
Brother: Oh, it is wonderful, Father.
FATHER: When your will is lost in GOD'S Will and your mind is lost in His, you are no longer your own, but as Jesus said:
'I am thine and thine art mine, and I (or we) are glorified in them.'
So it is a wonderful thought.
Brother: Yes, Sir.
FATHER: So when this is done, one gets away from where anything can come and disturb, even as it is written:
'Upon this Rock shall I build My Church and the very gates of (you know what) shall not prevail against it.'I thank you.
Brother: I thank YOU, FATHER. I thank YOU very much, Sir; it is very beautiful.
FATHER: Peace, and Many Blessings.
Brother: Peace, and thank YOU very much, indeed.
