FATHER DIVINE
The Mighty GOD of the Universe, FATHER DIVINE, needs not the praises of man, nor honor and glory for His own benefit, for nothing man can say or do can add nor subtract from Him; but in His Mercy and Compassion He warns mankind that the recognition of His Presence, with all honor and glory directed to Him, is for their own well-being. Those who ignore their Creator soon reach their destination, and especially in this great dispensation when in Bodily Form He has come to pave out the way and redeem them from their evil ways.
Our Savior speaks in this Message of the egotistical political and governmental leaders who pompously boast of progress in certain fields, seeking honor and glory for accomplishments during the period they are in office; deliberately ignoring the Spirit of HIS Actual, Personal Presence, which is the Doer of all good. The reaction of their self aggrandizement is detrimental, for they have laid up their treasures on earth, in seeking influence over the masses, a reputation and their confidence; and ultimately thieves break in and steal, leaving them destitute of their treasures.

Good Health, Good Will and a Good Appetite, with Life, Liberty and the reality of Happiness all day throughout all eternity, even as we have it by night!
At this particular instance I thought to say, GOD works in a mysterious way. Men cannot at all times understand and yet whatsoever GOD wills must be and what He commands, it must be done, with or without a Bodily Form. But whilst sitting and thinking a little while ago, I thought of what has been going on in this city under this city government in any righteous and just act among the officials, and especially the chief executive of this city and the chief executive of this state.
I retraced My thoughts back to what Professor Melchizedek said better known as Professor Furr I have heard him say on several occasions, yea, several times, when he got up in the morning he thanks Me, or he thanked Me for putting on his shoes for him, because he could not do it, or words to that effect. He has said over and over again he thanks Me for doing everything that is done. Everything that is done good and right and just, he declared it is I Who does it the One Who does it is He Whom you say I AM!
According to that statement and retracing My thoughts back to the experience of a goods many of the politicians and officials, I thought of how they will attempt to do and say things such as I demand and command of them, but yet will attempt to try to ignore Me, as if though it was by some merit of their own or some good that came from their characteristics or ability to do something that is good. But I AM here to serve notice on the inhabitants of this city and this state government, and even the Federal government, whensoever you hear of any official in and under this democracy, or in and under any other democracy, especially in and at this time in this advanced civilization, speak of doing something and request of something that is out of the ordinary such as they have not been doing and such as their respective parties have not been doing; you may know it is motivated by My Spirit over and above them themselves. But yet they themselves at times will try to ignore Me and try to keep others from thinking that I AM the Motivator of such ideas and such opinions and of such rules they are making for the benefit of the people. If they are good and unselfish, such as they have not been doing before I Personally came on the scene, you may know I AM the cause of it, I heard Professor Furr say.
But he goes a little further that and makes a little more plain. He says that everything that has ever been done good, even before I Personally came, it was Me! I mention this because there have been many appointments made by the present city administration, the chief executive in this city, since he has been in office; yet he has ignored Me Personally but he has fulfilled My bidding.
He desires, no doubt, for others to think it was he and according to his own goodness that such were acts of his endeavors in carrying out My Plan and Purpose without telling Me Personally or without endorsing Me or co-operating with Me Personally. Nevertheless, it has been declared by millions of My followers, the city government at this present cycle of time is controlled by the Spirit of My Mind, especially every good and just and unselfish and unbiased- minded decision given by the chief executives.
Oh, how glorious it is to know the Truth! They may ignore you and they may ignore Me Personally, nevertheless that which I came for, I will carry it out to the letter My Plan and My Purpose, with or without a Body! It is something to consider!
There are those who try from time to time to completely ignore Me Personally, but yet will try to do what I would tell them. The appointments that have been made unselfishly by the chief executive of this city as an abstract expression, which is according to My Plan and My Purpose and according to My ideas and My opinions; from My Mind, from My Spirit and from My Integrity such appointments were given.
Had I not been here Personally and had not started a great crusade against prejudice, segregation and discrimination in our city government and among the city officials and other civil service activities, no doubt the many appointments that have been made by the officials, they would not have been made un-prejudicially and non-segregationally as they have since I came Personally; creating an environment, causing an atmosphere to rise as an expression of a sensation against the tendency of prejudices and segregation. I have caused so much sensation to be raised against segregation and discrimination, they know they had better live and act according to My Plan and Purpose, or else without such an agreement, the will to do so, something will come worse. Can you not see the mystery ?
So then, I thought how marvelous it is, insignificant as apparently I AM, I AM moving on the hearts and the minds of the children of men, even those who will try to ignore Me. That is the mystery.
This great Crusade against segregation and discrimination, against the discriminatory practices in government and in society and in every walk of life! They know this Movement itself, by the Spirit of the Presence of the Almighty, is an expression as a Crusade against such outrages as segregation and discrimination motivated by the preconceived prejudices and bigotry such as had been conceived and handed down by tradition. Oh, how glorious it is to observe the mystery and to see and understand the significance of this work here among you !
They may ignore Me completely and try to ignore you individually, severally and collectively. Even if they try to outwardly ignore you nationally and internationally from an organizational point of view or from a personal point of view, or from a political or religious point of view, yet there is something they fear about you !
My Presence, with or without they considering Me Personally or considering in open expression the endorsement of My Personal activities or yours, is actually going forth conquering and to conquer, and raising pressure and bringing pressure to bear against such as would be without Me. Yet they may not say a word about Me when they go to do these things according to My Plan and Purpose.
They seek the honor! They have o do it and they desire to get the honor! They desire to be good officials and consider what they have done. You will notice at the time or just before the time of election, men will get up and say, "I did 'this'," and, "I did 'the other', I put so many and so many so-and- so officers on duty, I gave them their official duty and their official appointments. I did "this' I did 'that.'" They have not done a thing!
GOD alone shall reign and all of the glory shall be given to Him now, henceforth and forever by those who know the Truth among you! "In my administration," they say, "I put so many and so many people to work. I stopped segregation and discrimination among the working class of people. I did 'this' and I did 'that' and I did 'the other'." Anything that was done good, they try to take the honor; but not a chief executive of this city government nor the Federal Government, has done anything.
GOD alone is the One Who is actually doing the thing, and they cannot do a thing without Him!
'My glory I will not give to another,
Neither My Praise to graven images...
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven
Image in the likeness of anything that is in the
Heaven above or that is in the earth beneath,
For I the Lord your GOD am a jealous GOD;
I AM visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon
The children from the third to the fourth generation
Of them that hate Me and I AM showing mercy upon
Thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments.'
What a privilege it is to observe this mystery!
GOD deals in the affairs of men and there are miraculous changes taking place among them because GOD is actually present moving and ruling among them. That is why the changes are taking place! It is not any of their goodness; not because they are such good officials or anything of that sort. With or without My Body all of the Glory belongs to the Almighty ! But Professor Furr said, directing it to the Almighty and making it plain where He dwells and in what appearance He came he has declared everything that is done good, it was by Me, he said; and without Me there was not anything done that was good. Aren't you glad?
Now there are those, as I say, who do no wish to harmonize with Me. They desire to acquire all of the glory and the honor as politicians do. They desire to get all of the praise for whatsoever is done by the Spirit and the Presence of the Almighty; therefore they may not desire to harmonize with Me Personally, neither recognize My Personal activity openly because they seek to get the honor for themselves politically, socially and even individually. But I say they shall not get it !
Such honor and such praise as they get, it will not amount to anything, for it is it of which was spoken of by Me in a recent lecture concerning laying up for yourselves treasures on earth. This does not merely mean a place where you keep money, material things; but laying up for yourselves confidence, influence and reputation and faith in the people who are mortal minded; there is where your treasure is, whensoever you receive such as are given by them. By getting confidence, appreciation and getting thanks and praise and by getting it in the confidence of mortality, there is your treasure and it is an earthly treasure ! Thieves will break through and steal everything you have stored up in that mental and spiritual treasure!
Where you have stored up a great treasure of the great appreciation and great confidence in the consciousness of mortality's version, and according to your mortal connections with your respective political, partisan party; you have laid up for yourselves treasures on earth in mortality's version, and those things are destructive in other words, thieves will break through and steal them. But if you give all the glory and the honor to GOD to Whom it is due, why, to you GOD will seem to be true ! Take these thoughts to consideration.
There were many points for consideration stressfully established in My conscious concept this morning. A message came over the radio saying that President Roosevelt said, now is the time for the greatest religious revival that has ever been. He said we need more of a spiritual religious revival in this country. Why did he say it ? And Who motivated his mind and his spirit or desire to convey a message such as that ? But, for the fear of the people, as in themselves they must do what I say or they may not desire to recognize Me; but they know in themselves they must do what I say or they shall be total failures once and forever.
Now, he said what I have been telling him, but he did not mention My Name according to the statement as given over the radio. He may ignore Me as a PERSON for fear he might lose some of his influence; but when you ignore Me, I will ignore you some day, somewhere and somehow ! I thank you. I thank you. I thank you!
