On this evening set aside for the purpose of discussing Righteousness in government, we had a number of visiting friends. Among those present who spoke, was our Congressman, Mr. Bruce Barton. He was interested in hearing of FATHER's Proposal for the unification of the three Americas and stated among other things that he would be only too glad when he got back to Washington to speak of it or concerning it in Congress. He also wished FATHER and all the followers a Happy New Year and said he hoped that the Peace which FATHER advocated would soon prevail in the affairs of the world today.
A question also was raised as to FATHER's followers not voting and why they did not or could not. This was of course settled by our Savior in His mighty Lecture which He delivered on this occasion; and many other thoughts were revealed by Him which were of special interest to the Congressman as well as to all present.

Peace, Everyone!
Good Health, Good Will and a Good Appetite, with Life, Liberty and the reality of Happiness! These and other blessings to you I bring. I would just like tom say at this instance, it happened to be that I AM here Personally tonight as quite a surprise to a good many of you. I would like to say to our visiting friends, for the purpose of getting the masses to be governed by their highest intuition and moving volitionally and being controlled or led by the Spirit of the Living GOD within, I quite often refrain from putting My appearance early, and also refuse to allow them to know when I AM coning.
For this cause I believe the followers and lovers of My Presence will eventually learn to be governed by the Spirit of GOD in other words:
'As many as are led by the Spirit of GOD, they are the Sons of GOD.'
It is a pleasure to ME to know each person should be governed and controlled
intuitively by the Christ within and by the Christ as an Impersonal Presence
to lead them.
Coming down tonight I spoke of some of our co-workers, I said, "There those apparently who feel as if though it is their duty to especially attend these different meetings, whether the Spirit leads them or not in other words, if the Spirit leads them and if the Spirit does not lead them. It seems to lead that way at times vice-versalatedly, "I said, "There are others who apparently and especially come when they know or think I will be Present Personally." Be Governed By Your Highest
I mentioned each of those two reverse expressions of the life of the hearers and followers of Mine, but I said each of these are not expressing the highest. These two expressions, according to My version, are not expressing the highest such as I desire to see them express; for I desire to see each and every person governed by his or her highest intuition and learn to move volitionally and allow the Christ within to lead and to guide. By this, I know by the experience of millions, they will be able to bring forth the Christ within to fruition, by which they will gain victory over difficulty, over all adverse and undesirable conditions.
Now I would like to say, I have enjoyed what I have heard since I have been here Personally tonight. I appreciate the honored speaker, the Congressman, of which we have been taught to do to give tribute where tribute is due and custom where custom is due. I appreciate his visit and I hope he will not cease to continue to make it his business to attend these different assemblies whensoever he wishes to. Also to attend our private banquets if he is also led to do so, as he did on the previous visit here.
I would like to see each and every person governed by his or her highest intuition, as I afore said. My Personal version may be a little different from a good many of My followers, believers and friends. As Miss Freedom said, she felt as if though he might be here. In My version, even those under My Personal jurisdiction, I feel that each and everyone should be governed by his or her highest intuition. Concentrate on the Life of Christ
As I often say, in this democracy of ours, if you are conscientious and sincere and believe implicitly in the Christ and will concentrate on the Life of Jesus the Christ, if you are governed by your highest intuition and will move by your own volunteer volition you will bring forth the Christ o fruition within you. This is, in My Opinion, the coming of Christ; no longer to be surmised as one to come to rule on some great throne built by the hands of men, but as a throne in the hearts and lives and minds of the children of men.
When Christ in you has full control and you are governed by your highest intuition, and when you move volitionally and voluntarily according to your own volunteer volition, if you are conscientious and sincere, the same Christ that was in Jesus, yea, the One that Jesus was the actual Personification of, will be brought to fruition within you and you will have the victory over every undesirable condition. This is MY conscious Conviction. By experience, over and above every opposition I find victory in yours when you live according to such a version, for the very Christ within you is victorious even as HE was victorious in the Body in which HE died, as a Sample and as an Example to show you and all mankind the victory Christ has and the victory you will have when you ;I've exactly according to same.
Now, I would like to say, under the Constitution and its Amendments we are privileged to serve GOD to the dictates of our own conscience. By this, this country, this democracy whereby the Christ as a Leader for all nations can and will be brought to fruition politically, legally, socially and otherwise; for GOD through His Condescension according to My Conviction will materialize Himself even as He spiritualizes you. GOD Lives in Us
GOD spiritualizes you as a person and materializes Himself as though He was a Person. That is to say, He moves and speaks and lives in you, for in Him you live, move and have your being; even so in you GOD lives, moves and has His Being.
As I often say, of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and the Great Marriage of the Lamb to the believing Church of Christ, as it may be termed, it is written:
'Man should leave (or man shall leave) father and mother and cleave to the wife and the twain shall be one flesh. Nevertheless," says the Apostle, "I speak concerning Christ and the Church.'
Every person should be so united with the spirit and to the spirit until it would
be a matter of impossibility to get one without getting the other, for the little
leaven leaveneth the whole lump; therefore in My Conviction the Christ in you
being brought to fruition, Christ will be selected and elected, just the same
as you select and elect your Congressman, your President or any other official
of an honored office.
You should select the Christ, the Supreme Mind, the Supreme Spirit and the Supreme Being and enthrone that Principle on the throne of your mind, and when this shall have been accomplished, wheresoever a king reigns, there is where his kingdom is! Hence the Christ being brought to fruition in your hearts and in your lives and on the throne of your mind, having full control, My Conviction, Christ is reigning as Lord of lords and as King of kings on the throne of your mind; in your business, in your profession; in your and through your executive activities the very Christ HIMSELF unadulterated should judge the people and all things of our affairs with equity. That is My Conviction and that is the mystery of the Reign of Christ according to MY Teaching.
When this shall have been rightfully established, I believe and AM persuaded to say, I know we shall have a Righteous Government. When Christ Has Full Access
When Christ shall have full access and shall have full dominion in business, profession, labor and trade, GOD alone is reigning and has all Dominion, Ruling and super-ruling the affairs of men. Then and there His Kingdom has truly come!
Men speak of "FATHER DIVINE's heavens." They speak dual- mindedly for the lack of the Unity of the Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose "FATHER DIVINE's heaven." There is but one Heaven in My consideration! There is one Eternal Kingdom on which Christ shall reign as Lord of lords and King of kings! That is MY Conviction. But it happens to be that HE has access in you, through you, over you and in you and through yours affairs. Can you not see the mystery?
When this shall have been rightfully established, we shall have a Righteous Government, for GOD Himself is ruling on the throne of your minds, in your home and elsewhere. It will no longer need be especially that you put up a sign in your home and say: "Christ is the Head of this house," Christ will actually be the Head of the house in all you say and in all you do. That is what I AM talking about! The actions and the deeds will speak louder than words that you can say. Can you not see the mystery?
Christ is actually the Head of your business, actually the Head of every home wheresoever He has full control, there is where His Kingdom is, if it is in your private home.
Now we want to see the same dominion developed and brought to fruition even in the chief executive's chambers and offices throughout our civilized world, where Christ will be recognized and shall be enthroned on the throne of their minds that they might judge the people and the affairs of our government with equity, with righteousness, with truth and with justice! FATHER's Proposals Ignored
Now, as I said some time ago I have made many proposals. The majority of the representatives try to ignore the proposals I make, but nevertheless, they may try to ignore theses proposals I make directly, but indirectly they must bring them to pass.
I proposed some time ago, as we have the Secretary of War, what about a Secretary of Peace to and for each Government? If you have been listening to the radio news recently, since you do not read the prejudiced newspapers, I AM quite sure, you can see that we have now at least two secretaries of Peace and one Ambassador of Peace I mean, appointed by the President of our country. Did you not hear of someone negotiating Peace one from the Jewish faith and one from the Protestant faith, and the Pope as the Ambassador of Peace, endorsed by our President? Although he did not openly call them Secretaries of Peace, but it is just the same!
Now, I have declared, with or without a ballot, it is immaterial to ME I will accomplish My Endeavors, matters not what men say or do! Can you not see the mystery? GOD deals in the affairs of men! GOD will enter in as HE did after the Resurrection and the door was shut. Our Congressman knows something about that because he knows the Bible. Can you not see the mystery? Yes, he knows the Bible, therefore the very spirit of our Congressman can verify MY Statements on every phase and every point I make. Hence, as I said, Jesus after the Resurrection entered in and the door was shut. Even if the political powers close their doors to ME it is immaterial; I will enter in! I Will have MY Way! Can you not see the mystery? The Spirit Accomplishes the Purpose
Here recently, I heard it today repeated, I heard it repeatedly that the President had appointed two Secretaries of Peace, by My Interpretation, and recognized the Pope as the Ambassador of Peace! Can you not see the mystery ? Then I say, it is a privilege to realize it is not by power nor by might but by My Spirit, for the Spirit will do it. What should you care whether they ever think of ME as a Person or not? I know you may have a little human feeling, feeling as if though they should not ignore the Key to Salvation; nevertheless, it is not by power nor by might but by My Spirit. So long as MY Spirit does it why should you care? For the Spirit will do it!
Then I say, "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, rejoice! Let your moderation be made known to all men, the Lord is at hand!" This is not necessarily observed externally, but internally with you and ever-present as a Redeemer and as a Savior, whilst yet you could not deny the fact that GOD is external as well as internal; but stressfully to be considered, GOD fills all space an is absent from none! For this cause you should rejoice in the Lord and know once and forever GOD is Present with you wheresoever you are.
But it is such a marvelous thought to see the truth, to see it being fulfilled! Now there may be more assigned by the President to the office as Secretaries of Peace. Can you not see the mystery ? They may not be called the Secretaries of Peace, but according to their work, that is what they are filing, that Office of Secretaries of Peace!
Now it matters not with ME whether I AM seen, heard or not, the same Spirit will accomplish MY Endeavors and I will go on rejoicing now, henceforth and forever. But it is such a privilege to live in such a recognition, realizing GOD is with you! And when you bring into your consciousness that at-one-ment and that unselfish spirit of righteousness, you can be filled with such joy until you can rest in Peace and at ease regardless to what men may say or do. In Regard to Voting
Now, as I have said in reference to My followers registering and voting: through My Condescension I have and AM here to present to the world of politics, My contribution, but if they do not want them why should I care ? My number is increasing daily and it is only a matter of time and this Truth shall envelop the world. And if they do not vote, why, there will be only a few to vote. It might be too late for the politicians then, for they all are going with Me. Aren't you glad!
It is through My Condescension that I AM willing and ready to allow My followers to go with the crooked politicians.
As I said once when someone said to Me," Why, religion and politics do not mix," I said, " I have more business in politics than I have in the church! You see, politics are corrupt." If this is true, the Gospel of Peace should go to them as well as to you. For this cause I have gone in a way to reach all people, for Jesus Christ did say,
'Go into all the world and teach all nations!'
I believe the majority of them can tell you, we are teaching the a lesson, if
only a lesson on faith and courage and integrity; if only a lesson on consecration
and self denial. These are fact and figures that cannot be denied! Can you not
see the mystery? For everybody can see MY followers are self denied, they are
consecrated, they refuse to indulge in worldly pleasure and human fancies and
tendencies as others. Can you not see it? If only on that point I will teach
them a lesson. I AM teaching all nations and I AM teaching them how to hold the
masses and I AM teaching them how to draw them together. Can you not see it?
Now if you know, or would have known I would be here tonight, it would no have been standing room. Just as it is up at One Hundred and Twenty- sixth Street now, even though I AM apparently a little late you will not find standing room there. They will await Me as the Congressman said a little while ago, all night. Not only until two or three o'clock but until six if they thought I would be there. Now to find them devout and true in business, in your profession or labor and trade or in your respective organization, see if you cannot learn a lesson how to make your respective membership rue.
Ninety-nine percent of My followers are true to Me; not only true, but they love Me. Now I AM teaching all nations a lesson. Can you not see it? Then I say,
'Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, rejoice!'
Let us stand together for one common purpose!
Just before I left the auditorium to go down to the telephone I heard someone mention how great it is to be in unity, in the Unity of Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose! I thought of how glorious it is if you know Who I AM as you say you do, you are happy; but if you say you do and you do not, why, you may not be quite so happy. Can you not see it? But in the Unity of Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose when you all stand for one common cause, the very Spirit of GOD is with you and you are comforted wheresoever you go. You have naught to fear; you have nothing to worry about. All things are common with you. You work systematically, cooperatively and harmoniously, and you have all things in common. For this cause you can stand absolutely independent from every angle expressible, and as far as registering and voting, I stress again; if the politicians and representatives of our government do not want us to vote, we are not obliged to vote. We desire to vote for them, but if they do not want our votes they do not have to have them. Our Political Party
I would like to say again as one of the speakers said: MY followers were prohibited from voting because of their new names, because of not going by their old names. The majority of them are going by their old names, although the Scripture did say, "You shall have a new name." Some few may actually have new names but the majority of them have their old names, ut because they may sound like John or Mark or James the politicians try to keep them from registering and voting, because they do not know which way My followers may vote; therefore the Democrats, they do not want them to vote, a good many of them, and the Republicans, they do not want them to vote, and pretty much all of the minor parties, we have pretty much put them out of commission anyway. We mean to continue to put all of them out until there will be but one party; for what said the Scripture concerning the mystery, even the Words of Jesus?
'The Kingdom that divides against itself, it cannot stand.'
Now, as a proposal for the United Republics of the Americas; this is just a slight
step towards bringing about our Universal Brotherhood of man, for we know definitely
it is a matter of impossibility to stand as a Country, as a kingdom or as a republic
if you are divided against yourselves. The Mouth of GOD has declared it and again
I verify it Myself
Then I have made this proposal for the purpose of bringing about a closer relationship and an atonement between the nations of the Republic and the Americas and bring an end to war by a united body assembled. When this shall have been established on this Western Hemisphere we will have a national and an international defense that will be constructive and not be destructive as the millions and billions that are being drafted for the purpose of national defense. The Gospel Your Defense
When we build economically, socially and by the Unity of Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose and unite all of our resources as one democracy, it will be a defense that it would be a matter of impossibility for any powers of other countries to penetrate. But you may spend billions of dollars for destructive devices, such as the armies and the navies, yet you may build up for destruction and destruction will destroy them. But if you build according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and according to the Plan and the Purpose of the Almighty, you will have a defense that cannot be destroyed!
To spend billions of dollars for national defense, as I afore said, in the way and by the method they have heretofore described and been carrying out, all of the money invested in the army in that way aside from the regular army, all of that is destructive force and it is for that purpose, to protect your country, it is true, but if we build up a bulwark of united republics, of united power according to the Gospel, it would be a matter of impossibility for other powers to overcome us. They would not even attack this country if all of these republics were actually united together as they should be. There is not a power in existence in the civilized world today that would attack this country, for we would have all of the natural resources and the energy and man power and machine power that would be necessary for our own defense, and we would have a real national defense.
I cannot stress this thought too vividly, for it is Evangelical and according to the Plan and the Purpose of the Almighty. What said the Scripture concerning the mystery?
'Blessed are the Peacemakers!'
Let us make peace instead of making war! Let us cooperate, and if we want anything let us buy it. Do not try to take it but buy it or unite together as you would in organizing anything else. When you organize and unite together and all become to be of one united body with the same protection of the one that is in evidence at present; that would not be robbing others with whom you are uniting and you would not be robbed by others with whom you are uniting, for it would be a recognized and a united body for one common cause and for one common purpose, for together we stand but divided we fall.
Now, I need not say more. I believe I have said enough on that subject to stir up your pure minds, and I believe that they will not stop until they do it, for it is Evangelical and it must be fulfilled. The same Spirit should speak in every one of you. If you have the Spirit of GOD within, The Spirit in you and every American Citizen should say, " Let there be the United Republics of the Americas!" In Biblical history where it reads,
'The Spirit of the Lord moved out upon the face of the deep and said, let there be light,'
When it said, "Let dry land appear," it came forth into expression,
did it not? And then every Christian declares, they all declare the Spirit of
GOD is in them. Now let that Spirit in you, I mean the Spirit of Christ in you
say, "Let there be the United Republics of the Americas, and let all of
the Republics equally share our Bill of Rights, such as we have it documentally!" If
this is rightfully established it would be a matter of impossibility to be a
failure, for you would be united together as one kingdom that could not fall.
But the kingdom that divides against itself, it cannot stand.
These United States of America Kingdom has been divide against itself long enough. Unite in reality, no longer documentally, but allow yourself to be united together politically and legally even as My Followers are united religiously and spiritually. I thank you!
