A testimony at FATHER DIVINE's Headquarters on Tuesday, the 16th of April, revealed that the speaker had never gone to school in her life until FATHER opened the way, causing thousands to attend night school in order to become good citizens, and to be able to read and write, thus making themselves eligible to register and vote intelligently, and to obtain desirable employment accordingly. FATHER then rose singing the following song, and spoke as follows:

Righteousness, Justice and Truth, Good Health, Good Will, and a Good Appetite, Good Manners and Good Behavior I have called forth into expression and I have Personified the same, that these qualities might become a living reality in the hearts and lives of men. It is indeed Wonderful !
While listening to the testimony, I thought of what you have often heard: "Once a man and twice a child." Christ in the name of Jesus said:
'Except ye be converted, and become as this little child, you can in no case inherit the kingdom of God.'
The same Spirit is speaking today. There are many that have grown up they grew
up to be what you would call men and women, that did not have the opportunity
of a grammar school education. Many of them, as the last speaker, did not even
have the privilege of going to school a day, but as it has long since been written,
and I came to fulfill the Scripture,
'First seek the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added...'
If you do not know a letter of the English alphabet, it would make no difference to ME, so long as you make your mental and your spiritual contact, and be susceptive and receptive to the Spirit and the vibrations and the environment in which you are now living or standing. The Spirit of MY Presence and the Presence of MY Spirit, they are contagious to and for the true and faithful. If you are true and faithful to ME, they are more contagious, but if you are not true and faithful and your minds are not in willingness and in readiness to live and do according to MY Teaching, then MY Words, MY Spirit and MY Characteristics may not be quite so contagious. But if you are willing, MY Spirit, MY Mind, My Nature and all of the attributes of GOD, together with all these qualities I have called forth into expression, such as Righteousness, Truth and Justice, they are contagious for the true and faithful.
It has long since been said,
'Evil communications corrupt good morals... ill qualities are catching as well as diseases.... And a man is known by the company he keeps.'
If the negative and undesirable characteristics are contagious, how much greater
are the characteristics and the nature of the Almighty! The average person has
thought that the spirit of negation and negative thinking and negative influences,
can, and could and would have more influence over a person than that of the positive,
the real, the true; but there is something in the hearts and lives of you that
has been longing and yearning for something, and I came to bring it to you! That
something that you have been longing and yearning for, was the right concept
and the recognition of GOD's Presence as a Living Reality. This recognition from
which you were driven in the Garden of Eden in one man, Adam, you were driven
from this recognition, for you thought you were hiding from GOD; but I came to
bring you back from that yearning and longing. Something within has been lying
dormant waiting for the resurrection of Him, that He might come forth into expression
as a sample and as an example to lead you on to Victory.
This is the purpose for which I Came, this is the Cause for which I Stand to bring about the Universal Brotherhood of Man and the conscious realization of the Fatherhood of GOD. By so doing you will be one with your Maker. When this shall have been accomplished universally as it is individually,
'The Kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdom of our GOD and His Christ.'
Then you will no longer be looking nor thinking about some place in Heaven geographically,
far above all of the other planets, but you will realize the planetary conditions
have nothing to do with your mentality as you raise your consciousness to contact
the Christ Consciousness, and rise out of materiality and mortality. These conditions
will no longer have an existence, for the very Spirit of GOD's Presence with
you will give you the Victory over your difficulties, over adversities, yea,
even over the adversary the creator of all adversities. It is indeed Wonderful!
Then I say, Righteousness, Justice and Truth I have long since called forth into expression, but today I AM Personifying the same the same for you and universally establishing it in all of the different organizations, and shall Personify it in all the courts of law, even as I did yesterday. Evening when the adversary rises in opposition through false accusation, and striving to bring you in condemnation through the unlawful and unrightful act of the law, trying to use the legal procedures to persecute and to crucify the Ideal of Whom you say I AM, when these things arise, they are only for the purpose of re-establishing MY Name from shore to shore and from land to land.
Then I say, GOD Alone shall Reign! It is indeed Wonderful! Oppositions are necessary. Jesus said in His language in the language that was spoken at that time,
'It is needful that offences should come; But woe unto that man through whom they come!'
Righteousness, Justice and Truth I say I have called for you! I have harnessed
the mentalities of men, I have harnessed their energies, I have brought them
into subjection and I have put them on the Horses of Righteousness, Justice and
Truth.
On the Horses of Righteousness, Justice and Truth, the mentality of men shall ride and the children of men shall personify these qualities of Whom you say I AM, that I have called forth into expression, that the recognition of GOD might be a reality among the people, and that vice and crime and sin of every kind with all wickedness in all of the different expressions and phases of it might be defeated once and forever.
This I will do as I have done. I will continue to do as I have been doing if GOD will permit, for it is permissible, and I have permitted it. Righteousness! Justice! And Truth! Those that oppose that which is Right, or Justice, they should be glad that I have come in Righteousness. If I did not Reign in Righteousness and Rule on the throne thereof, it would be Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, for Justice would destroy them all !
Righteousness is another expression of Mercy. Righteousness is the accurate expression of mercy, in the actions of its practical and spiritual duty. Therefore,
'Righteousness and judgment are the habitation Of his throne... The earth saw, and trembled.'
Now is not this a wonderful place to be, where doubts and fears are taken away?
Where sighs and tears are no longer seen nor heard ? Where trials and tribulations
and sayings and gossips and hearsays of men cannot disturb ? As I say, every
knock is a boost, every criticism is a praise, every cursing is a blessing, every
stumbling block one may lay before ME is a stepping stone, and every wall they
try to lay before ME is but a platform. It is indeed Wonderful!
Jot these thoughts in tour vocabularies. Live in the consciousness of GOD's Presence continually,
'Lo, I will be with you,'
and I AM the Victory ! I AM not only the Victory yesterday, but I AM the Victory
now, henceforth and forever!
It has long since been said by the world of Christendom,
'The blood has paid it all.'
The transposed version of that especial assertion or phrase, I would say,
'The Life has paid it all.'
The Life is in the Blood. The Spirit and the Life are One. Christ came in a bodily
form; His personal bodily form was an outward expression.
By the shedding of His Blood, He was telling the nation He was giving His Life for their redemption. Nevertheless, you must copy after the fashion I have shown you by living Evangelically, being true and faithful from every angle and refusing to deviate regardless of the oppositions, but be more persistent when oppositions arise.
Oh, it is such a privilege! We are living in the Actual Presence of GOD; GOD not only Mental but GOD Spiritual, but GOD Material. As personifiable as the principle of mathematics, even so personifiable is and was the spiritual Life and Love of GOD. If you choose not to personify that which is called an education, you will not be educated, but if you conceive it and express it scientifically and consciously, you ate known to be educated. Now who can defeat it, or who can dispute it ? The mouth of the Lord has spoken it! It is indeed Wonderful ! It was spoken before you thought it, but when I spoke these Words into existence, or into your consideration, you could understand it very plainly. Live in this recognition, dear ones, and,
'Lo, I will be with you.'
I AM Success, I AM Prosperity, and I AM Health and I AM Happiness. These are
not mere affirmations, but these are declarations, for they have been confirmed.
The affirmation that is spoken, until it is confirmed by the Confirmer, it is no longer an affirmation, it is a declaration; you can declare it as well as I, for it has been confirmed and verified; therefore, all you must needs do is to reincarnate it. Jot down these thoughts and the understanding thereof in your vocabularies, and personify the same since you have reincarnated it; and by living in the consciousness of it with the spirit of the Christ uppermostly in your consciousness, He will bring to fruition your fondest imaginations.
Now is not this a beautiful imagination ? Your imaginations, when they shall have been brought into materialization and materially manifested, they will come to your conscious recognition; and materially revealed universally, they are no longer imaginations but they are expressed realizations. Just take these thoughts to consideration. Every expression will beget another and a more perfect expression, and an imagination will beget a realization through concentration, and your concentration will bring into recognition into your own recognition your fondest imagination. When your fondest imagination, through concentration, shall have been brought into recognition, the Spirit of the Consciousness of the Presence of GOD, will bring your imagination that was brought into your recognition, into materialization. When it is observed by others as well as yourself, it is no longer an imagination, no longer a concentration, no longer a revelation nor a vision, but it is your conscious realization and the realization of others when they observe it.
I will not go further along this line at this particular time, but I will call your attentions to something greater in the very near future. What I have been telling you this morning, these Words are well worth considering, especially for the practical psychologist. Copy after this fashion by visualizing the positive and I will produce it and bring it to fruition in your consciousness and in your experiences; you will be partakers of the limitlessness of the Majesty, Love and Mercy of the Almighty.
Then I say, keep walking in the Light. This Light has turned your darkness into light, for,
'He was in the world, and made by Him, and the world knew him not'
He is the light that
'lighteth every man,'
said one,
'that cometh into the world.'
I am the light of your understanding--- therefore said He,
'I am the light of the world.'
Oh, it is such a privilege to live in the consciousness of GOD's Presence to
be filled and thrilled with the spirit of merriness, for,
' A merry heart does good like a medicine; but a broken spirit dries the bones.'
Oh, it is such a privilege when you can see the masses as they are gathered together
from time to time, giving praises and thanks to GOD Almighty on the Throne; not
only giving praise to GOD, but as they give praise to GOD, the very Spirit of
GOD transforms them in nature, in disposition and they become to be New Creatures
by the transforming process of their characteristics. They are no longer thieves
and robbers, they are no longer profane persons, they are no longer dishonest
and incompetent, but they become to be both honest and competent and true; hence,
Righteousness, Justice and Truth will be with you henceforth, now and forever.
