FATHER AND MOTHER DIVINE
The time has come and is now at hand that Almighty GOD is judging the world with equity, and it is written: "Judgment first begins at the House of GOD."
Therefore, unless you accept of Almighty GOD and All HE stands for, which includes all His beautiful Attributes, and try to express them in deeds and in actions to the fullest measure and lay aside every mortal, human version and concept, you cannot be counted as one in the number, for ninety-nine and one half won't do!
Thus, Almighty GOD, FATHER DIVINE, in tender love and compassion brought forth this stirring Sermon, that one and all might renew their vow of consecration and dedicate their lives more fully to Righteousness and to the Cause for which HE came, that they might live and never taste of the sting of death which is the reward for all sin and selfishness. Read these profound Words carefully and prayerfully and take them to consideration lest you be weighed in the balances and found wanting.
For Thy Mercy and Compassion for the children of men to save them, Almighty GOD, we humbly thank THEE!
(The foregoing statements are those of the transcriber, and the following is FATHER'S stirring Sermon, with FATHER speaking as follows:)
PEACE EVERYONE! I would like to say in expression, in an expression whichever, to convey the thought I conveyed many years ago; no doubt a good many of you read a message I gave a lady who came from the Middle West or some parts of the West and she was claiming perfection in herself, as so to speak. And the question came up as to what would be required of her. GOD had made possible for her burdens to be taken and free her from her obligations, yet she wasn't satisfied at such a great sacrifice made by others for Righteousness, to give her the chance to be free from obligations and it was said to her, "Whatsoever was required of the Body called MOTHER, the same is required of you!" Especially since from your obligations you have been lifted, and as an original composition says: "Take your burdens to the LORD and leave them there"; you have taken your burdens from the Middle West or some place and brought them all the way here to New York and left your burdens there under the jurisdiction and for the obligation of the Peace Mission Movement -- My Church, yet you are not willing to make the sacrifice! But I said, whatsoever is called for, yea, whatsoever it was required of MOTHER to do to come into possession of such an inheritance, the same is required of you! All are required to pay the same Price, yea, to make the same sacrifice!
So she returned. She did not drop dead just then, but she is not living now! After which you all, no doubt, have record of it in The New Day where she did return, returned to the flesh from whence she came or some similar flesh in the way of carnal mindedness.
So then she returned, but the record goes, where is she now? It has been records carried in The New Day to let you see and to let you know she did not inherit Eternal Life by doing what she desired to do.
And I thought how marvelous it is, you can see those among you, for the last twenty or thirty years, having made such a sacrifice as giving up everything for Righteousness' sake and yet there are others, after having tasted of this unmingled Love and Joy without a tear, are willing to turn back, as it is written,
'As a dog to his vomit and as a sow to her wallowing in the mire." (Proverbs 26:11)
I thought to call your attention to those who are true and faithful, as a Sample and as an Example; what is required of them, the same is required of you! A true follower of Mine will not even so much as hold conversations with the opposite sex unless it is on strictly business and that of a business nature! They will not even so much as hold a position where they would be requested to ride with the opposite sex correspondingly!
I have brothers as Crusaders and brothers as others that would not even so much as ride in the front seat with their employer's companion or daughter or any other opposite sex because they know they cannot obtain Perfection by human indulgence, human affection, lust and passion and such mortal customs! They are willing to make a sacrifice of such when they are earning as much as seventy-five dollars per week and more -- make the sacrifice of the position rather than ride with the opposite sex, sitting in the front seat with them! That is a sacrifice apparently, but it is not as much of a sacrifice as CHRIST paid for you! My true followers as brothers, as Crusaders and as others, would not and will ride correspondingly with the opposite sex in the cars in which they are driving! They will refuse to hold a position such as that, though they have been given seventy-five dollars per week and up just to drive the cars for the employers and be independent and not even so much as to have any other work to do, but willingly sacrifice such positions as those rather than to break the simplest rule of the Kingdom!
And if there be any other such an expression in opposition to that one, it is plain to see and plain to know, they are not worthy of ME! If you can ride with the opposite sex correspondingly or if you can have communication with them socially otherwise or participate with them in holding conversations that are not strictly business and that of a strictly business nature, if you can have any kind of a conversation of human affection or human association, it is plain to see, you are not worthy of ME!
And if you, whomsoever you may be, are not willing to sacrifice all other's versions for ME, all of their ideas and opinions, all of their fancies, pleasures and their tendencies for ME, you are not worthy of ME! Therefore, I put you on the scale of Justice with the spirit of Equity to bring about Perfection or to bring about a Perfect State of Being. Perfection is endeavoring to produce Perfection in you by causing you to live a Perfect Life that is Incorruptible and Undefiled! By living such a Life as depicted and described, it is a matter of impossibility for you to die! When you sicken and die, Sin is the Cause of it!
The wages of sin is death, but the Gift of GOD is Eternal Life." Romans 6:23
Therefore, those who are counted worthy of the Kingdom, they are willing and
ready, as some have and as some do make the sacrifice to that extent that they
would not even so much as ride in an automobile correspondingly with the opposite
sex even though they would be earning seventy-five dollars per week and up to
do it!
I mention this because some may think they can get by without paying the price. Whatsoever is required of one, is required of another! Whatsoever was required of MOTHER and for MOTHER to do, the same is required of you! Jot these thoughts down in your vocabularies and in your conscious thinking and remember, such is the requirement for every individual, to abstain from all appearance of evil and be willing to make such a sacrifice as has been mentioned!
I need not say more at this particular instance, but it pressed My Mind to call your attention to what would be and what is actually required. Now that party, as a young woman apparently, she is not living now, and many others such as she was and such as she is! Therefore, the sacrifice has to be made if you desire to even so much as look at ME! It may be so you would not be able to look at ME! It is Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!
But the sacrifice that is required to be made, as for one, so it is for everyone! The same Sacrifice and the same Self-denial! Same Consecration and the same Love and Devotion, Ideas and Opinions! If a person is not willing to give up everything for ME here and now, they are not worthy of ME! If there is anything that you desire to hold on rather than ME, see if you can hold on to it! See if it will save you! See if it will help you! And if you make such sacrifices as mentioned by the different ones of you, such sacrifice will produce for you the desirable results, for it is the way of the Cross, the Way of Life! I thank you.
