A new center of attraction had been established in the San Juan Hill section of New York City. It was not a rendezvous for those who commit vice and crime, but a new Meeting Place of the Followers of FATHER DIVINE at 204 West 63rd Street. There, the people of the neighborhood gathered in multitudes, to stand in the street around the entrance of the large stone building, formerly a church, while the Meetings were going on. Unaware of the nature of the Great Power that drew them, and not knowing why they were attracted, men and women, young and old, and even small children, stood in the street for hours, many of them shy about entering what looked like a church, but held by a Power, they knew not what.
Many came to scoff and make fun, not realizing that at the Presence of FATHER DIVINE the most hardened sinners and scoffers are many times the first to fall under the control of His transforming Power. Those who had observed FATHER DIVINE'S Work elsewhere knew that these very people and their whole neighborhood were due for a cleaning up such as that which had taken place in Brooklyn, Harlem, and other parts of New York City, as well as Newark, Jersey City, and hundreds of other cities and towns. They knew they would see guns and blackjacks thrown into the river; see stills destroyed, and houses of ill fame converted into houses of prayer, with the inhabitants praising their GOD, FATHER DIVINE. They knew they would see every sort of vice and crime disappear, and the people who were formerly living in the very dregs of iniquity, becoming clean, wholesome, honest, competent, prosperous, joyful and happy, as the Spirit of FATHER DIVINE does Its Holy Work.
So, every day and all day the Meetings were filled with praise and gladness, while the throngs gathered around, and those who had been saved from such conditions and had been healed and blessed, gave the Glory to GOD, Whom they recognize as FATHER DIVINE, for what HE has done.
FATHER DIVINE is always present at the Meetings in Spirit, but on Friday evening, August 25th, 1933 A.D.F.D., HE appeared in Person and was enthusiastically received by those whom HE had blessed so much. They praised HIM in words, and they praised HIM with the very movements of their bodies as they sang and danced before HIM. This particularly drew the attention of the many hundreds who were seeing it for the first time, especially the large number of small children that were present.
Many convincing testimonies came forth, concluding with one from a sister who said she had been in Atlantic City during the floods and storms that had swept that part of the country. She said she, with others, was ordered to leave the house they were in as the water was rising and at a certain time would flood the house. She heard FATHER'S Voice within, telling her not to leave the house as the water would subside at a definite time. However, when the water came into the living room, the others in the house insisted upon going, and she started out with them. Wading through the waves at the front door of the house, she slipped and fell, badly bruising her face on the pavement. As a result, she was carried to a doctor. She wanted to thank FATHER for saving her from a worse injury, and to ask forgiveness for not obeying His Voice, as she found the water did go down at the time HE said it would and she would have been perfectly safe had she stayed.
FATHER DIVINE then arose Personally, with the following song and remarks:
'I will follow where HE leadeth, I will pasture where HE feedeth,
I will follow all the way, LORD, I will follow my Savior every day.'
FATHER speaks as follows:
PEACE EVERYBODY! Here you are and there I AM again! There I sit and here you stand. Aren't you glad! ("So glad, FATHER!" rang out joyously from the Audience.) You understand what it means -- it means to unify yourselves with GOD and unify yourselves with the Infinite Whole -- men collectively, or mankind collectively, the Infinite Body of GOD. For this cause I came!
The little song we sung,
'I will follow where HE leadeth -- I will pasture where HE feedeth
I will follow all the way, LORD -- I will follow my Savior every day.'
If every individual will be governed by his own highest intuition and not be governed by the mortal version of the human mind of men, they will be led in the way GOD would lead them and they will have the victory over sickness and sin. For this cause I came and for this purpose I stand in the midst of the children of men like unto a man, and a message of Love to you I bring, that you might understand how to follow HIM. Be governed by your own individual highest intuition, and not led and governed by the mortal version of men. In that, you will have the victory over sickness and over sin, over trials and tribulations and all diseases and undesirable conditions. It is indeed Wonderful!
The first step we should take, we should know we are led by the Spirit of GOD to do this or to do that. "Out of Egypt I have called My Son." Out of materialism and mortality, flesh, race, creed and kin; out of families, out of every fleshly affection that is not according to the Divine version I have called My Sonship Degree of spiritual understanding, to bring the temples along with it and with them. For this purpose I stand, showing you the way to have the victory over undesirable conditions, that you might establish yourselves in the Land of the Living as one of those to have the victory. It is indeed Wonderful!
It is a glorious privilege to see so many happy faces here, and it is something more than happy faces that causes you to be happy and causes your faces to be expressing the Joy of GOD within. And it is a glorious privilege to know, your hearts and your minds have been attuned to receive some vibration and some message through these vibrations that are raised high enough for you to be caught up in them to contact the CHRIST Consciousness, that you might be blessed in the midst of the children of men. It is a glorious privilege to know you . . . (At this point, that which had been a continual undercurrent of noise and loud talk from a crowd of young girls and boys in the back of the Auditorium, became an uproar. FATHER stopped talking and stood silently looking at them for a few seconds, with the result that there was complete silence from then on. HE continued:) It is Wonderful!
It is a privilege to know, you can so attune yourselves to this Infinite Mind, GOD will be with you as though a Person, all the time. I did not say a Person, but as though a person, and can be your Refuge and your Protection from all hurt and from all harm.
The last speaker bore witness of having had a little accident apparently, while believing in ME, but yet being disobedient to the still Voice that spoke within, and moving by the fear of men, according to their versions, and not according to that still Voice that was speaking within, and that was what caused that accident, so she says. It is Wonderful! However, the Spirit of My Presence was there to give her the victory over further injury. So it is a glorious privilege to know, if you are true and faithful, GOD will be with you. This was merely a lesson for this last speaker, and also for others, to show you, you must not be governed by the mortal version of others, but you must be governed by your highest intuition, your "Intutor" that speaks within, to rid you from your sorrows and to rid you from all hurt, harm and all danger. It is indeed Wonderful! I will take that lesson for consideration for MYSELF if I might, as a sample and as an example. When My Spirit within ME leads ME to be still I will be still. When My Spirit within ME leads ME to move on I will move on. Then I say I will take this experience as a lesson for MYSELF as an Individual, as a sample and as an example I stand in the midst of the people. For this cause I deem it essential for ME as an Individual to take it as a lesson. It is indeed Wonderful!
If you will be governed by your highest intuition, and move according to your own individual volunteer volition, you will bring forth the CHRIST within you to fruition, and you will manifest Him to the world and there will not be another. That is the way He was to come. He came in the Body called Jesus, as the "firstborn among many brethren," the Sample and the Example and the Expresser of the Fundamental Principle, and the Manifestor of the same. He brought it to fruition in His own Individual Temple and manifested it to the children of men, and GOD declared unto them, "This is My Beloved Son in Whom I AM well pleased, hear ye Him."
The same Sonship Degree of spiritual unfoldment is in you waiting for you to still your conscious mentality, that this Degree might be brought to fruition in you, and you as an individual will express the CHRIST in all of His Fullness. It is indeed Wonderful! If CHRIST JESUS would have been confined to that Personal Body as a man, when the disappearing of Him took place as a man, all of humanity would have been lost. But there was a propitiation made, that you could believe and could receive, for
'As many as received Him, to them gave He Power to become the Sons of GOD, even to them that believed on His Name.'
Therefore it is your privilege to bring forth the CHRIST to fruition in your own individual experiences and you can manifest the victory over limitations, adverse and undesirable conditions, the same as I, MYSELF.
Under the sound of My Voice tonight there are many of those of you that think you are children -- many that others consider to be little children, young boys and young girls. I know you would desire to be healthy, I know you desire to be wealthy, I know you desire to have a-full and a-plenty and to spare. The CHRIST in you is lying dormant there, waiting for the stilling of your conscious mentality and for you to live an Evangelical Life. You will bring forth the CHRIST in you to fruition, and you will manifest the CHRIST, and that will be victory over limitations, will be victory over adversity, it will be victory over segregations, it will be victory over discriminations, and in you and in your day, you will live to see the time you can be just as I AM.
Is it not a wonderful privilege, Dear Ones? Do you not see the chance and the opportunity of this coming Generation, where you can be free and continually free, above all those limitations? You can be free! Young men and young women, you can have victory over discriminations. You will not have to be as your fore-ancestors. It is indeed Wonderful! GOD alone shall Reign! In this last Dispensation; in your Generation! GOD has condescended to come, to set a Sample and as an Example for the children of men, that they might see they can be One with HIM and have the victory over sickness and sin. For this cause I came, for this purpose I stand. Young men -- it is Wonderful -- young girls and young boys, would you not like to be even as I AM? I have a-full and a-plenty and to spare. I have money, and I have a-plenty of Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding.
Then I say, hear the Voice of GOD while GOD is speaking today! I have come to show you the way, and that is the way over and above all limitations, all lacks and all undesirable conditions, that you might have the victory, and that you may be free and free indeed. It is Wonderful! Your mothers and your fathers, they are rejoicing to see My Day! It is fortunate for you that My Day is your day. You are living in the day and the time when GOD Alone shall Reign. Therefore you should rejoice and be exceedingly glad. I have broken down the wall of partition between the sect and the creed, and all denominations; I have broken down the wall of partition between races, creeds and colors, and I have established the Universal Brotherhood of man. It is indeed Wonderful!
Does this, (turning to His Staff) not look better than discriminations and segregations and Jim Crowism? Then I say, young men and young girls and young boys, you should rejoice to see My Day, where I have brought to light a Standard for the people, of which GOD spoke through the mouth of Isaiah the Prophet saying, "Lift up a Standard for the people." This is a Standard that I have lifted up for the people, through the people, by the people, that the kingdoms of this world might not perish from the earth, but that they might be transformed by the renewing of their minds, that they might become to be the Kingdom of our GOD and of His CHRIST. Now you can see, Beloved Ones, this is not merely a whole lot of ignoramuses, this is not merely a whole lot of fanaticism, this is not merely confined to emotionalism. This is not confined to expressions and actions of "follyism", but this is the Omniscience of GOD which transcends all of the human intelligence. It is indeed Wonderful!
In you lies dormant the Omniscience of GOD. Your subconscious mind is GOD'S Vocabulary, and in GOD'S Vocabulary lies His Omniscience, waiting for the stilling of your conscious mentality that HE might reveal His Mysteries and teach you Wisdom. When GOD begins to speak in the mind of men human intelligence can be stilled, for this Wisdom and this Understanding transcends all human intelligence, and it is just that that cannot be revealed to the children of men, all of it, it is only a slight sketch and a reflection of a percent of a percent of a percent of a fraction of a grain of the reality of this Wisdom and Knowledge and Understanding of GOD being revealed to the children of men. Therefore HE has hid HIMSELF in them. It is indeed Wonderful!
Then I command the mortal mind, through those that are supposed to be old and those that are supposed to be young, to be still and hear the Voice of GOD. For this purpose I came, to bring you this Message of Love. It is indeed Wonderful! When you hear My Voice your hearts will not be hardened, and you will rejoice at the recognition of GOD'S Presence, and through this Recognition you will have the victory over your sorrows, your troubles, and your worries, and GOD in you will reign with victory over sickness and diseases, and you will not have an occasion to fret nor fear. "I come, I come, to bring you this Message of Love," to let you see, in your very day, what your fore-ancestors have prayed for. I have brought it to fruition in your very midst in this present Dispensation, yea even in this present Generation.
It is in your Generation! It is your privilege to rise above segregations, discriminations, lacks, wants and limitations, and all prejudices, and rise also above depression, in this present Land, and GOD will give you the victory by the Power of His Hand. It is indeed Wonderful! You can tell your friends, your mothers and your fathers, the Message to you I AM bringing, the Message to you I give, that you might "look and live" and inherit the blessings for which HE came, to bring to the children of men. It is indeed Wonderful! Believe these Truths, and you will be dialing in on this broadcast message, as a message that is broadcast from a broadcasting station. You can dial in on this Fundamental Principle, and you as individuals can produce it in your own experiences and can manifest it in your own systems, and you as individuals can bring forth the CHRIST to fruition in your own temples and you as individuals will be the manifestors of CHRIST coming and reigning on earth among men.
Now there are those of you that are somewhat at a standstill because you have heard these Words, and you are convinced to see and know the reality of this Presence in the midst of you, and for what purpose It came, to bring to you this recognition, that you might be even as I AM. You can see the different languages, tongues and people seeking deliverance from limitations, lacks, wants, and adverse and undesirable conditions of every description, and yet they have not touched the Source of victory that will give them the victory over all adversities by the Recognition of GOD'S Presence within. It is indeed Wonderful! I have brought to you, and unto all of the inhabitants of the earth, a slight sketch and a reflection of a percent of a percent of a fraction of a grain of the REALITY of the thing that I AM speaking of -- the KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH AMONG MEN -- where there will be no more race-riots and divisions; and PEACE and REST shall be in the midst of them and GOD Alone shall Reign!
You can see the great significance of this great Work that has a great footing. I would not be in ten million strong for nothing. I AM in ten million for something! It is indeed Wonderful! Therefore you are fortunate, young men and young women, young girls and young boys, to be in this present Generation -- at the latter end of this Dispensation -- to be in the midst of the People wherein GOD is Reigning as LORD of Lords and KING of Kings. You are fortunate, I say, for your fore-ancestors were not so fortunate as you are. You are fortunate to be where you can dial in on these Principles that I AM advocating, and you can be partakers of the very same, and it is your privilege as young men and as young women, to bring forth the CHRIST to fruition in your own experiences, and that will be the "Royal Diadem" and you will "crown HIM LORD of all."
Truly might some have said, and many of you have sung:
'Bring forth the Royal Diadem and Crown HIM LORD of all.'
When you shall have brought forth the CHRIST to fruition in your own individual experiences and in your own consciousness and in your own systems, you will be bringing forth the "Royal Diadem" and you will "Crown HIM LORD of all," for I heard the composition through one, as a representative of the children of men saying, "I am a Jewel for His Crown." It is indeed Wonderful! You are Jewels for His Crown when you shall have become to be a precious gem, and you become to be a "Jewel for His Crown." Upon His Crown you will be a Jewel, and you as an individual will be crowning HIM LORD over all other lords, and KING over all other kings heretofore existing in your consciousness, and you will have HIM to Reign in you, over you, through you, and by you, as the KING and the ONLY ONE, and wheresoever a king reigns, that is where his Kingdom is. It is indeed Wonderful! And when and wheresoever CHRIST begins to Reign in you, over you, and through you, there will His Kingdom be, and that will be the victory over all miseries, over all sorrows, over all lacks, and over all wants, and over all limitations, for HE is a righteous King that is in reality Reigning! I thank you.
