The following are a few remarks by FATHER DIVINE which HE spoke concerning
the passing on of an individual. The date and time are unknown, but because of
the deep mysteries herein and which give us the Key to the Reality of Life itself,
we are hereby publishing same.
FATHER DIVINE
FATHER speaks as follows:
The reality of the person is still with you. We will hold the positive thought, but it has long since been said, and still remains,
'Let all men be liars but let GOD be true.'
If it is true let it be true that the person will remain. The reality is true.
We must realize that which was from the beginning, and that which still remains
and not hang our lives on the fleshly state of expression.
Refuse to take the outer part, for the outer part seems to be a failure. We should not allow our minds to go down with the outer part. You don't know the heart of every person. We may see and know they mean good, but yet, there may be a lack of some full consecration of aim and of purpose and the Word says,
'If you live after the flesh, you shall die.'
You don't want the failing flesh of weakness, of infirmities of the flesh, against
the great Universal Mind Substance. Let the flesh if the flesh is found guilty,
let the flesh be found guilty and not the Spirit. The true Spirit is the mind
of the one you claim and therefore, do not allow yourself to be involved or so
attached to the visible appearance of the individual, that the individual person
or flesh will be your God that you would put against the Impersonal Life that
is True. You want to hold the reality of the Impersonal Life and not the personal.
All things are possible to him that believeth. But still, if for any cause the person did not recuperate, you should not doubt the Spirit of the person for the Spirit of the person is GOD. If you doubt the Spirit of the person that is confined in the person, or if you would doubt GOD, for the lack of the person's perfection, you would be bringing yourself to the same condition that is not necessary. You want to hold fast to that which is good. Don't attach yourself to the sinking wreck, to the mortal person, but hold fast to the Impersonal Life to overcome.
You are speaking to his Spirit now, as Spirit is ever present and as Spirit is GOD the Spirit of each and every person is GOD. GOD condescended to impart HIMSELF to individuals, through individuals in individual's likenesses, for to appease the mortal concept of the human mind and when that shall be accomplished, HE might call your mind from that personal, physical appearance that you might not look upon the personal individual not even the Personal Tabernacle of GOD that the Spirit may be always with you! That is what I AM trying to convey to the people daily: Get your mind off of ME as a Person that you might see and know with or without My Personal Presence I AM just as operative!
Keep the Faith. I will be with you. This very Principle that is termed the Presence will be with you with or without the Person; yet it is possible that the person can be called back to action if it is necessary; but still, with or without the person you must realize the Impersonal Life of the person is the Reality and will be with you, for the Impersonal Life is the person to that degree, as being termed your companion, with or without the body. It is absolutely the same. As long as an individual will hold to something that is material, you will subjugate yourself to the conditions of materialism or mortality and you know what mortal means. As I have so often explained the mystery of GOD'S Presence, there are many of My so-called children have been changed by not only words but by Spirit and by name and still, out of My personal Presence they go back to the same mortal claims and by going back to the same mortal claims they subjugate themselves to the mortal conditions of life; and all mortal is death.
We must relinquish all mortal claims of life in the recognition of the Ever Presence of GOD, because the Spirit and the Mind is the Reality of everything and not the person or persons, nor even the Person of GOD, of Whom you claim I AM. I don't want you or any other individual to attach yourself to ME personally, but attach yourself to the Spirit of Life that is operative without the person and also operative with. You can see My Teaching from start to finish, carrying it back to the beginning where GOD moved out on the face of the deep, without the physical expression of anything or any other person. GOD is a Spirit and the same Spirit is speaking today! Hundred and millions term it to be this Bodily Form, but yet, it is the same without this Bodily Form. Hence, it is the same with or without It. See? Therefore, the thought should not rest upon ME, as a Person, to be carried about, to doubt, or fear, or deviate from this Impersonal Life, because, with or without the Bodily Form it is functioning. This is what I AM teaching daily!
Keep this thought with you and everything will work all right, because it is just what it is and it is just the same as it has been. It is only the appearance that you are observing now and the false belief of the mortal version of men that have imposed their version between you and the Reality of the thing that still remains and will remain with or without the Bodily Form; the Consciousness of the Presence of GOD! And GOD is ALL THERE IS, with or without the Body, your Father, your Mother, your Husband, your Brother, your Sister and your Child. The Spirit of that individual is with you; see the Reality of it and it will be with you! Keep in harmony with the Law of the Spirit of Life and also with the law of right thinking, according to My Instructions, as right thinking and right actions will take care of the situation and everything will work automatically and harmonious. Know within yourself the Reality is the SAME with or without the bodily form, knowing it not only with this individual but with every individual expression, and you will not have an occasion to falter nor fear and I will be with you effectively, with or without My Person.
So many people hang up in the flesh something will have to be done one way or the other. It is possible that the Spirit of Life can return to the body; then, it is possible that the Spirit of Life may cease or refuse to respond to the body as the body did refuse to respond to the Spirit in Life. See? Because the call has been made long since, and which they claimed ME and claimed after having recognized ME, the call was made to the body and the body did not respond to the Spirit, now the Spirit may not respond to the body, but if it doesn't, remember: the Promise is True and the Reality of that person they are speaking of will be the same, with or without a bodily form, for GOD is all that there is.
That is why I AM calling them out of the flesh. You cannot talk with the individual to appease the mortal mind, that wanted to justify itself. If some person is a failure, it may be through deviation from some angle of expression from which they failed to live up to. Some claim to be in My Name and they go out in society and they lay claim on their old name and yet desire to cooperate with the new. Then, how can it be?
