FATHER DIVINE
Peace, Father; Peace, Mother:
I have had the opportunity on several occasions to be in Your Holy Presence at one of Your distinguished Banquets, both in Philadelphia and in New York. You and Mother have honored my wife and I in both places, for which we are thankful. We love You and Mother and the great Work You are doing throughout the world, in cementing all races, all colors and all creeds; and teaching Unity, Loyalty, Honor and Honesty to all mankind, showing them by precept and example how to live for the Glory of GOD.
While my wife and I are not ardent members of our Sanctuary here, we are sincere workers for the cause which You and Mother represent.
You have the nucleus of a sanctuary here in Chicago, supervised by Dr. G. and other spirits of all colors and creeds, working with her to make this Sanctuary a help to all mankind. They are doing a great work among our schools, colleges and churches, bringing about Unity and keeping before the public the Principles of the Work of our Father and our Mother.
A large number of prominent men and women of all races have expressed a desire to invite You and Mother to visit Chicago. Dr. G. says her place is not large enough to successfully carry on the work this great Unity Organization stands for. We, the people of this State and of our City of Chicago, want You to come to Chicago and perfect a Unity Church here. I am ready and willing to start with the Governor of the State and the Mayor of the City, together with churches and clubs of all races, to welcome You and Mother for the great purpose of extending Your Work.
My past experience in handling worthwhile movements is ready to help Dr. G. and her associates in this movement.
A number of men and women in all walks of life in Chicago have expressed a desire to have You and Mother visit us. These men and women are leaders of clubs, federations and even the official heads of our Community and State.
Chicago, as You know, is the second largest City of the United States and our population is increasing daily. People from all sections of the world are rushing to Chicago because of the industrial increase in jobs. We need a Unity Church large enough not only for our Banquets, but to house and care for our members in distress. We want an institution established in Your Name by You and Mother stamped with Your Seal of Approval. We want to prove to the world the True Way of Life, not through mediums, not through incense and candle burning; but through the Power and Influence of our LEADER, FATHER, GOD Almighty. You say in Your Teaching that GOD will protect us if we are under the shadow of the Almighty. I believe this and I feel when the great Work of our Leader and our Divine Guidance will approve of our aims and objects, we can go on to Success. You teach us that we need not have misery, disappointments and failures and GOD is all Success and Prosperity. This we believe.
Father, my conscience will not allow me to know, see and hear evil spirits neglect and rebel against the Principles You Represent. There are some spirits that claim You sent them to represent You and the Cause You represent and they are not preaching Your Gospel. They are not adhering to Your Principles and should be checked in their mad career for fame and fortune.
It is true that it is good for brethren to dwell together in Unity; but the brethren's hearts and minds should be above reproach and not seeking life. Mentally, spiritually and physically you must live under the Divine Guidance of the Almighty. A little check by our membership here on the maneuvers of some that say they represent You and Your Cause should be brought to Your attention by the members here in Chicago. It is not in my makeup to try to drag one down (God forbid), but when I can see the great harm that might affect or retard one of the greatest movements that the world has ever seen and heard a Movement headed by You and Mother with the great Success You and Mother have already made, and the great Work You have already accomplished, not only materially or physically and morally, but that of cementing men and women of all races, colors and creeds.
The high fellowship created among the high, the rich, the poor together, this is the greatest Work known in history today.
I, personally, don't want the least drop of bad seed or dissension sown to check Your great Work and Your progress in Chicago or any part of the world.
If any spirit is going to represent You and Your Cause, let him be clean, pure and honest, holy and unspotted by the world, just as You Are and just as You Teach.
When You give Dr. G. the green light to go ahead with the wish and desire she has to carry out Your Teachings, we will start this great Movement in Your Honor.

Thank you for your letter postmarked the 5th and the subsequent clipping. The sincerity of your purpose in writing is highly appreciated.
As you and Mrs. L. have been guests at My Holy Communion Table and respect the purpose of My Work and Mission, I value your invitation and desire to seek the co-operation of the officials in inviting ME to Chicago.
It was at the request of Mayor Bernard Samuel, that a delegation of this City of Philadelphia, invited ME to make My headquarters here some years ago. And recently I had the opportunity to ask one, who was a member of that delegation, if they were still pleased that they had invited ME to reside here. He informed ME, and you may have read of it in the transcript of the interview as published, that I had more than accomplished all that they had hoped and they were still immeasurably satisfied.
With the increasing problems raised by rapidly expanding population, especially of minority groups, no doubt, the officials would welcome the practical services the extension of My Churches would give the people. However, I do not have to do anything as a Person especially, for I AM Present in Spirit and in Mind to bless all who think on ME harmoniously. Therefore, I would not especially have to come Personally, for I AM THERE NOW!
I realize, more keenly than you may think, that there are counterfeiters of the Truth, just as there are counterfeiters, who fraudulently copy legal money. It may even resemble legal tender, but those who use it will eventually be called into question by the Federal Government and if they are found guilty of making or passing counterfeit money, they will be put into prison. So it is with the SPIRIT of GOD.
Many have taken My Name in vain, thinking I would not know or did not have the Power to stop them; but without exception they have gone down or they are going down. The only way to take My Name or to use My Name is to take it and keep it HOLY! It is written:
'The LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His Name in vain.'
Those who take My Name must reproduce the identical Picture of Virtue, the exact
likeness of Independence, the letter and spirit of the Law of Honesty, Competence,
Truth and Self-denial. If they do this, it will not be counterfeit. It will be
the same; but if they take My Name to beg, borrow or solicit or rob the people
in the Name of serving ME, they are taking My Name in vain. I will not hold them
guiltless.
Nevertheless, you need not fear that any counterfeiter of the Truth can harm ME; for it is also written:
'By their fruits ye shall know them.'
My Own know My Voice and a stranger they will not follow; but as Pharaoh was
raised up to spread abroad the Name of the LORD, so in this day many are spreading
abroad My Name. Yet, those who carry My Name are in no sense of the word 'followers'
of Mine, unless they are following ME by living exactly according to this Virtuous
Life of CHRIST and by refusing to accept of gifts, presents, love offerings,
compensation or remuneration in any form for any Spiritual Work and Service.
Thus, be of good cheer and know that My Spirit is Present and I will accomplish all that I have promised; for I did say, it shall be from shore to shore and from land to land just as I have it under My immediate Staff and under My Personal Jurisdiction. Eventually all shall have this privilege of becoming to be even as this leaves ME, as I AM Well, Healthy, Joyful, Peaceful, Lively, Loving, Successful, Prosperous and Happy in Spirit, Body and Mind and in every organ, muscle, sinew, joint, limb, vein and bone and even in every ATOM, fibre and cell of MY BODILY FORM.

Dear Father:
I have taken the pleasure in writing You. I should have done it before, but I have been so worried over life and its conditions that I could not get myself together.
My daughter M. has written to You some months ago about her health and Your loving letter to her has caused me lots of interest and special attention. Even when I have always been a constant reader of Your magazine, I now can surely say of my experiences, my child has been strong and healthy.
All during her life suddenly she got sick; no doctors can explain the cause of her suffering. My days had been in sorrow. I had decided to send for her so as to see for myself. Well, when I saw her condition she could hardly walk. She had to be supported with a stick. I told her to write You. She did. Then I saw lots of difference . . . I must say I saw great improvement, because she can go around much stronger. To be frank, it's just a weakness in the knees that is preventing her from going all by herself, because she just merely needs to touch someone's hand to go walking.
Father, I am a poor woman fighting life alone with my poor child and I need help and I am knocking on Your Door for Mercy. Thanking You and Mother for Your kind attention, I remain

I AM just getting to Personally respond to your letter of the 5th of October, and I appreciate hearing from you.
The power of faith is a wonderful thing, for by faith My Spirit is able to bring about the desired results.
If you and yours will learn the mystery of health and of joy and of prosperity, you will see that by living in the consciousness of GOD'S Presence, and by living virtuous and clean in body and in mind, virtue will cleanse you and yours of every ailment and complaint.
This is the mystery of the word given by the minor prophet, saying:
'And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they might offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
'Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.' (Malachi 3:3,4)
By being conscious of GOD'S Actual Presence with you, and by allowing the Spirit
of My Mind and the Mind of My Spirit to purge you and your former preconceived
versions and tendencies of men, I will put a new mind and a new spirit in you
and thereby create the health for your body, for you are transformed by the renewing
of your mind. That which is applicable to one is applicable to all. Hence, that
which is spoken to you I speak also to your daughter, and to all others, for
the Truth is impersonal.
Therefore, let My Message take root in your hearts that it may spring up into everlasting life within you, and cause you and yours to be as this leaves ME, for I AM ever Well, Healthy, Joyful, Peaceful, Lively, Loving, Successful, Prosperous and Happy in Spirit, Body and Mind and in every organ, muscle, sinew, joint, limb, vein and bone and even in every ATOM, fibre and cell of MY BODILY FORM.

Peace, dear Father and Mother:
Father and Mother, with a heart full of gratitude, I want to thank You for Your limitless blessings to me and the world at large. Dear Father-Mother God, I want to thank You for being called out of a world of confusion, into the Holy Family of God.
Father, about three years ago, You blessed me to a position as companion and housekeeper for Mrs. A. Zitin of Merion, Pa.. Father Dear, You blessed me to give her about a year and a half of service. Shortly after leaving Mrs. Zit in, Father Dear, You called me into Your beautiful vineyard as Co-worker. I thank You, Dear God, for this blessing.
Father Dear, while working for Mrs. Zitin, numerous times she made slanderous remarks. On one occasion she told me You were not God. Father Dear, very dynamically I exclaimed that You were GOD, and I would shout it on the housetop. Father Dear, I never try to persuade anyone to believe as I do, but as she spoke as she did, I was moved to speak beyond my personal control. Father Dear, You have said, retribution is sure and assured and I believe every word You say, Dear.
On last week, Dear God, Mrs. Zitin got her retribution. Three members of her family perished in a fire that swept her home. They were her only daughter, the daughter's husband, and their daughter.
Father Dear, since Mrs. Zitin said You weren't God it seems like her god was either off duty or sleeping. Father Dear, I know You are merciful and compassionate and if You had seen the blood You would have saved that family. Father Dear, this proves again that You are our all and all, and besides You and Mother there is no other hope for us.
Father Dear, the family that perished in the fire were extremely wealthy. Father Dear, You have said Scripturally,
The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.'

A Philadelphia textile manufacturer, his wife and their young daughter were found suffocated in the second-floor master bedroom of their home at 506 Lamer Rd., Merion, after a neighbor noticed smoke pouring from the windows of the spacious, Tudor-style dwelling.
The victims were Martin Saligman, 45; Mrs. Lillian Saligman, 42 and Lynn, 12. Saligman was vice president of the Queen Knitting Mills, Inc., 2701 N. Broad St., which his father, Israel, founded 31 years ago.
The Saligmans are survived by a son, Harvey, 18, a student at the University of Miami, and another daughter, Mrs. Edward Cooper, 20, of 2491 N. 50th St.. Mrs. Cooper gave birth to a son the dead couple's first grandchild only recently in the Jefferson Hospital.
Charles Glass, of 520 Latch's lane, saw smoke pouring from the Saligman home at about 7 A.M. and he telephoned an alarm.
Shortly afterward, firemen donned masks and made their way to the master bedroom. They found Saligman's body and that of his daughter lying face down at the rear of the room. Mrs. Saligman's body, in a sitting position, was in the front part of the room. All wore night clothing.
The fire was confined to a second-floor bedroom, which was unoccupied and had been piled with furniture by the Saligman's, who had been redecorating, according to Fire Marshall Harvey Benson.
His son said a preliminary investigation indicated the fire had started after a portable electric heater, which had been placed close to some of the furniture, had been turned on.
He added that the victims apparently had arisen a short time previously, but had been made drowsy by the lack of oxygen and were thus unable to make their way to safety.

My dear Miss A.:
Your letter of the 12th with clipping of the apparent retribution that reached the family of the critic you mentioned, is received.
It may seem to some to be a hard and pitiless thing to speak of the retribution that overtook the daughter and the family of the critic who denied ME, yet a light and a trifling thing for her to dishonor My Name. Nevertheless, the critic herself has lived to see the desolation and recompense of her slander against ME, if what you say is true.
It is evident that the Angel of Destruction did not see the blood, which is termed the 'life', among those who perished; for as it is reported, they suffocated in the blaze that broke out in their home. It is written in the Book of Exodus:
'When I see the blood, I will pass over you.'
The Angel did not see the blood the life of Agreement with GOD, and when It passed
over them in the name of the cosmic forces of nature, they were destroyed. These
are hard sayings, as I mentioned, but yet they are true.
The unbelief of such critics would rejoice if they could destroy ME, but when the thing they desire to come to ME, comes to them, they are mocked by their slander, and their god has proven to be no god.
Elijah, the prophet of the Living GOD, in the times of the kings of Judah and of Israel, demanded the king to gather all the people together at Mt. Carmel, that the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, and the four hundred prophets of the grove the pagan gods of the people, might know Who was GOD. Elijah said to Ahab, king of Israel, and to all the people:
'How long halt ye between two opinions?
If the LORD be God, follow Him; but if Baal then follow him.
And the people answered him not a word.'
'Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
'Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under, and
I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under;
'And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD, and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
'And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal: Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first, for ye are many, and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
'And they took the bullock that was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
'And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said: Cry aloud, for he is god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
'And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, blood gushed out upon them.
'And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, not any answer, nor any that regarded.
'And Elijah said unto all the people: Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.
'And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name.
'And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD; and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
'And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said: fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
'And he said; do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said: do it the third time. And they did it the third time.'And the water ran round about the altar, and he filled the trench also with water.
'And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said: LORD God of Abraham, Isaac and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
'Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD GOD, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
'Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
'And when all the people saw it they fell on their faces and they said: The LORD, he is the God; the LORD he is the God.
'And Elijah said unto them: Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them and Elijah brought them down to the brook of Kishon, and slew them there.' (I Kings 18: 21-40)
The image gods of many in these days are of the intemperate desires of the hearts
of the people, who worship vainly the flesh of men and of women, of family, of
races, creeds and colors, being exalted in selfish pride, seeking riches and
the love of money, and all such vanity of the human tendencies and preconceived
versions of men.
That is why many try to ignore ME and the Word of Truth that I AM transmitting by My Presence among them.
I do not desire any one to lose out professionally, mentally and physically, and perish in the balances, but when they refuse to give up their malicious prejudices, religious bigotry and ungodly hatred, and profane the Name of GOD without a cause, they curse themselves and pass on and off of the scene of action.
I know the critics abhor this Virginity I call for, even as I live it minutely before them. I married a Spotless Bride in Virtue and SHE is as Virtuous today as the day I married Her.
Through the Zeal of this Truth millions are living according to My Teaching, but all who are rebellious in thought and deed shall perish, even as you hear of them being destroyed in accidents and calamities such as the world has not seen for it is truly written:
'For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.' (Psalm 1:6)

The Congregation People of Righteousness is an orthodox synagogue located in New York.
The Congregation plans to install me Sunday morning November 11th. A Sunday morning breakfast will be served at the synagogue between 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. and the installation will begin about 10:00 A.M.
It would be wonderful if You and Your Staff would be present at my installation.

Dearest Father and Mother Divine:
Thank You, dear Father, for Your Bodily Presence here on this earth plane with us. Oh, Father dear, I thank and praise You for this most precious knowledge; to think I am living this day with God in a Holy Body, with His Church, the Spotless Virgin Mother Divine. Thank You, Father dear.
Father, it has been on my mind for some time to tell You Personally, how good You are to those of us who gather together to praise Your Holy Name. Mrs. L. P. has been giving banquets occasionally, and they are all independent. She is trying to have all impersonally; by that I mean she doesn't want those who assist her to have her tell them, she desires to have them follow the Spirit. It is a very sweet Spirit. She never mentions the cost of food, desires to serve the very best. As I have been in this Truth many years I have never found one let go as Mrs. P.
Those who come through Christian Science, aroused to practitioners it seems more difficult for them to look to Your Spirit from the within, but now we feel that it's accomplished. Some, of course, still have not found that, but I know it takes time, so we must wait on Your Spirit.
We are thanking You daily, yes, always, to be in our midst to lead and guide us in all things. Mrs. P. is now independent of all of us, as Your Spirit has led her to buy services for the Table. Father dear, for all these wonderful blessings I thank You. I believe I am correct, when I feel now that she is absolutely free. Your Spirit can work more effectively. We have sweet times together.
Thank You, dearest Father and Mother for Your Love going out to those who need You. I thank You for the new spools we received recently. Oh, Father dear, You are so good, so sweet. We love and adore You and our darling Mother. Peace to all.

Your letter of the 5th ultimo is received.
I appreciate your writing concerning the individual independence portrayed through Mrs. P. according to her service in My Name.
Those who trust implicitly in My Name, refusing to look to others for help in any way, and particularly from an economic point of view, find that My Spirit can bless them by their faith.
When one is willing to go My Way, My Spirit substantiates them in this abundance flowing so freely, and as It causes one to be economically independent, so does it give that one a greater power and trust in My Name to carry out My Word in his or her affairs.

Father, I am writing to thank You and Mother for the glorious and wonderful blessing given us to come up to the Mount of the House of the Lord. And the wonderful privilege of coming in Your office and being personally introduced to You and Your Spotless Virgin Bride.
Father Dear, hearing You speak is such a thrill and being in Your Presence, we consider that a blessing beyond a blessing, that we can't explain. Father Dear, I am so glad that You know the heart. Dear Sweet Savior, You bless us so bountifully. This visit was my third trip to Woodmont. I pray to be more worthy and live the life that we will please You and Mother at all times; this is my heart's desire.
I ask You to heal my body and mind; let them all be Yours. Father, I want to thank You for the many, many blessings that You have bestowed upon us. Father, You have blessed me in so many ways. You have healed me from asthma and kept death away from me. You have given me a nice home, car and things to wear. You have done so much for me, I can't tell it all, words can't explain. God Almighty, I thank You for Sweet and Beautiful Mother; praise Your Holy Name.
I thank You for granting Your Rosebud the permission to bring us in to see You and Mother; it was so sweet.

He said to me that English language were, or is universal. I don't say nay about that because I know that eventually all nations of the world will be speaking it, but I said to him that 'love too is a universal language.' And he said, no, it wasn't.
So I told him we'll write to You and ask, and he said that he will give me the privilege of writing You, so I did. I will appreciate very much Your acknowledgment on this matter. I am not one of Your followers, but I like Your Teaching. It's very awakening. I thank You for taking this matter into consideration.

Your letter of the 30th ultimo is received and I write to say concerning the subject in question, the English language is not only the language mostly spoken among the nations, but it shall be eventually the only spoken language among men, that all men may comprehend one another.
The language of love is also a universal language, but of course, more expressly the language of the heart; for love is felt and portrayed in deeds of honesty, equity, brotherhood and truth, as well as in kind words and fellowship that unite man with man, and nation with nation.
The infinite perfection of My Love among the children of men causes ME to bear with them; yet, My Hand is outstretched still, to give those who will, a chance to get My Mind and My Spirit and thus, to become to be as this leaves ME, for I AM ever Well, Healthy, Joyful, Peaceful, Lively, Loving, Successful, Prosperous and Happy in Spirit, Body and Mind and in every organ, muscle, sinew, joint, limb, vein and bone and even in every ATOM, fibre and cell of MY BODILY FORM.

My dear Mr. S.:
Thank you for your letter of the 7th in acknowledgment of the honest endeavor of one of My followers, Mr. W.H.M., to remunerate your office for rental due since 1919.
No doubt, Mr. M. will contribute the amount that was due, to some charitable organization as you suggested, and in that way fulfill his obligation to the satisfaction of all concerned.
Not only have I taught the people to work and earn a livelihood and to pay back all of their old debts, but I have taught them to pay cash on the spot for all purchases and to owe no man. This is the foundation of real independence and security.
All business, profession, labor and trade individually and governmentally established, would create individual and national prosperity, eliminating completely breadlines and poor housing conditions and other such forms of want and limitations.
Of course, whosoever is characteristically honest, competent and true in all of his dealings, has the true basis of security, for none can destroy the power of law that creates abundance in the life and affairs of one who produces the desirable effect accordingly.
Upon this foundation My followers have a security and independence that none can destroy. Nevertheless, it is as workable for one as for all, whereby all have the privilege to enjoy the blessings of health and prosperity which I have brought into the lives of millions thus far.
