Editor's Note: In this Sermon, FATHER DIVINE stated that it shall be some
day 'all over this wide extended plane' just as it is locally under His Personal
Jurisdiction, where 'none shall lack in GOD'S Abundance.' By 'extended plane,'
HE means the whole world. HE called attention to the fact that HE has followers
in Panama, Switzerland, England, Germany, Australia, Nigeria, Canada and
elsewhere.
FATHER DIVINE said that we will produce One Nation, One Language, and One Speech,
and all races, creeds and colors shall live together in Unity and that is the
specific reason HE brought His Spotless Bride to be in Unity with HIM. FATHER
DIVINE declared that HE came to show the world something never seen before
a Spotless, Virgin Bride.
Each Anniversary is reviewed over and over because of the importance of the
Marriage, and it was at one of these 'Reviews' that FATHER DIVINE gave this
Sermon. The Marriage projects both Virtue and Brotherhood, two of the concepts
that are essential for the saving of the Nations.
During the 30s and 40s, the followers owned many properties in upstate New York around Kingston, the Headquarters for all the activities there in the 'Promised Land.' Many followers from Harlem moved upstate and thereby integrated the Promised Land, and enjoyed as well the wholesome living it afforded them.
On this glorious occasion, the Promised Land in Ulster Country, New York, which so many visitors, followers and friends have enjoyed and loved so well, was abundantly blessed as the masses Reviewed the Fifth Wedding Anniversary.
The happy followers, visitors, guests and friends, as well as neighbors, had the pleasure and privilege of not only seeing the LAMB and His SPOTLESS BRIDE at the Holy Communion Table, but the privilege and pleasure of seeing Them inspect the picnic grounds at intervals, and the different activities that were in progress, such as swimming in the outdoor pool, bicycling, baseball, etcetera. They were overjoyed as they visited the different concessions where hamburgers, hot dogs, milk, sodas, salads, ices and ice cream, were being served in abundance to accommodate the masses who could not be accommodated more than once at the Holy Communion Tables that were continuously being served, as bus loads of followers and friends kept coming.
The LAMB and the BRIDE were beautiful to behold. The BRIDE wore a two piece blue linen dress trimmed with deep blue lace, while the LAMB wore a white flannel suit with a red rose in His lapel. Truly, as we beheld Their faces, which radiated with Purity, we could not help but feel within ourselves the VIRTUE which emanated from Them.
ALMIGHTY GOD, WE HUMBLY THANK THEE!
The following is the inspirational composition sung just before FATHER arose to speak:
As it is right here, some day it shall be
All over this wide extended plane.
None shall lack in GOD'S Abundance;
We all shall be happy and free!
We all shall see our GOD PERSONIFIED;
We all shall be in HIM UNIFIED!
For as it is right here, some day it shall be
All over this wide extended plane!
FATHER speaks as follows:
PEACE Everyone!
It is true, I did say:
'I will preach CHRIST in Words, but more so in deeds and in actions; and I will put My SPIRIT in the people and cause them to walk in My Statutes.'
However, I AM persuaded to say, I AM also intuitively and organizationally and socially and cooperatively persuaded to have a few words to say in Person. I have refrained from speaking because of the many speakers of whom have assembled here today as usual and desire to speak, it is true those who are called members of our churches, those who are commonly known as My following and followers, if you please, that are deeply inspired and also, no doubt, intuitively required to speak.
For this cause I have refrained from speaking to give you a chance to speak; but at this instance I thought to rise to say a few words, not necessarily to preach, but it is classed or considered as preaching when I AM speaking; but we hear the voices and the testimonies of you when I come around daily and continually. Many times, as at this time, I have refrained from speaking to give you a chance to speak those of you who desire to testify, but at this instance I have arisen to say, as it was, so shall it be, and as it is right here, some day it shall be all over this wide extended plane!
None shall lack in GOD'S Abundance, for there is a full and a plenty for one and for all! Aren't you glad! 'So glad, GOD ALMIGHTY!' responded the happy assembly. And as I have it right here, I have extended it from shore to shore and from land to land! It shall be continually expanded and extended from shore to shore and from land to land and throughout all countries wheresoever man is found!
And as I was sitting, listening to that little composition, although it is a melody, it is also a prediction and not only a prediction, but a declaration of your convictions:
'As it is right here, some day it shall be
All over this wide extended plane.
None shall lack in GOD'S Abundance.'
For GOD is Creative by nature, operative and expressive automatically! His Name is sufficient to create worlds and worlds over and again like this one! I have declared:
'The Spirit of the Consciousness of the Presence
of GOD is the source of all supply, and it will
satisfy every good desire.'
I have declared, where they are conscious of My Presence and recognize My Deity, even if some do not believe it, they find the abundance of the fullness put forth into expression automatically by such a conviction and by believing sincerely in MY Deity!
I need not go to Panama; I need not go to Switzerland; I need not go to any of the European countries Personally, for I AM HERE and I AM THERE! By composition and declaration I have long since declared it!
For this cause, you find that there are those in other countries coming up with this same declaration that you all have those of whom have never seen ME Personally, those of whom I have never Personally seen, but because GOD is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent, GOD is also Ever Present with them when they are conscious of His Presence!
In this copy of The New Day carrying My Message, it also carries a pictorial number of portraits telling what My Spirit has done in England, in Germany, in Switzerland, in Africa, in Panama, and Switzerland as afore said in New Zealand and in far away Australia. This is to let you know that GOD is not a supposition. GOD is no longer a vision, no longer a dream, but GOD is Real! Real! Real! GOD is real in the Land! GOD is real in Business, Profession, Labor and Trade and the Tangibilator of spiritual things, as HE was in the beginning of the creation of the world!
When the earth was void and without form, GOD said, 'Let dry land appear;' brought into visibility and into outer expression the tangibilated earth that was intangible, invisible, impractical and good for nothing. Aren't you glad! 'Yes, LORD! So glad!' shouted the happy assembly. But because of GOD'S goodness in His creation and in His own Omniscience, HE tangibilated the earth and materialized it and made it a matter like form!
You can see that the earth is good and very good! As it was then, so is it now! GOD is just as operative and just as expressive! I AM happy to say, as it is right here, some day it shall be all over this wide extended plane. There will be no more warfare, no more bloodshed; but first of all, to bring an abolition and an obliteration of warfare and bloodshed, we shall dispel all divisibility among us! We shall produce One Nation, One Language and One Speech, and the Unity of the Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose shall be made a living reality, for I AM bringing an abolition to that line of demarcation between so-called races, creeds and colors so that all might live together in the Unity of the Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose! Aren't you glad! 'So glad, ALMIGHTY GOD! So glad!' came the enthusiastic reply.
That is what we are doing here today once again back in Ulster County, and to Kingston, commonly known as the Promised Land, to let you know and let others know, this time, I came the second time with My Spotless, Virgin Bride, commemorating and re-commemorating the Marriage of CHRIST to His Church, as it is written:
'Man shall leave father and mother and be joined unto his wife and they two shall be one flesh.'
It is also declared, before we leave that thought for consideration:
'This is a great Mystery, but I speak concerning CHRIST and the Church.'
Can you not see the erroneousness of mortality's version concerning the Sacred Matrimony of man and woman? It was not to be for the purpose of lust and passion and self indulgence from the beginning! I said there through the Holy Writ:
'This is a great Mystery, but I speak concerning CHRIST and the Church.'
Can you not see the Mystery? And the Mystery was to be revealed and it has been revealed! Now it is your privilege, My fellow citizens, hearers and friends and neighbors and whomsoever you may be under the sound of My Voice, copy after this fashion I have shown you and we will bring an abolition to all dishonesty, to all incompetence and all untruth and bring a complete obliteration and a dispellation to all narcotics and all habitual systems of men to worship and to please themselves in self indulgence and refuse to obey GOD and live evangelically!
This is a privilege, My fellow citizens, to observe as afore said this is a Review of My Fifth Anniversary Celebration of My Marriage to My Spotless, Virgin Bride, something you never heard of before! Aren't you glad! 'So glad, LORD!' came the eager reply again. Never heard of a Spotless, Virgin Bride! FATHER gently assists MOTHER DIVINE, the Spotless, Virgin Bride to Her feet, as the audience thunderously applauds, and FATHER continues speaking.
But I came to show all mankind how to hear of and to see a Spotless, Virgin Bride! One Who is Incorruptible and Undefiled the SAME today as SHE was when SHE first stood by My Side! Aren't you glad! 'Oh, yes LORD! So glad!' came the thunderous shout.
Then I say, copy after the fashion I have shown you and I will, in your lives, reproduce the thing you visualize, for I have long since declared, the thing you vividly visualize, you tend to materialize, and that which you materialize can be personified and you individually, severally and collectively, can become to be the personification of that which you have visioned! Can you not see the Mystery?
Let us live in this recognition and build upon this foundation and it will not be strange to you, for in your own life and in your own house and with your own wife, I will reproduce the likeness of My Spotless Virgin Bride! If you have a wife and you desire her to be pure and holy, incorruptible and undefiled, she too can also be redeemed from among men, and be among those of the first fruit unto GOD and the LAMB where in their mouths is found no guile, and you will not be defiled with women. I thank you! I thank you! I thank you!
