(This marvelous Office Talk deals with, in substance, the same subject as that of the Mobile Office Car Talk given recently by our Blessed SAVIOR--entitled 'Man's Fall and Redemption' on Sunday, December 14, 1947 A.D.F.D., Time: 11:55 P.M. en route from Palace Mission Church and Home, Inc. of New York to Circle Mission Church, Home and Training School of Pa., which can be found in The New Day, December 20, 1947 A.D.F.D. issue, pages 6-8 for further reference.)
FATHER Speaks as follows:
And he (the serpent) told Eve that she was to have a man child of the LORD but GOD told Adam and Eve to replenish the earth and be fruitful and multiply, but as it is written in the Gospel Epistle,
'Paul may plant and Apollos may water but GOD giveth the increase!'
It was understood by the serpent, no doubt, that he knew and no doubt told Eve that she was to have a man child of the LORD, and as she was to have a man child of the LORD, then when this happened he could have even told her, 'If anything happens, you go back and tell Adam, your husband, that it is of the LORD!' you see, because it was predestined that she would have a man child of the LORD!
Then he (the serpent) said,
'Thou shalt not surely die but thou shalt be wise as gods, knowing good and evil!'
And so he taught her wisdom concerning the mystery, to make her tell Adam and get him and others to believe that this man child was of the LORD, of which she should have given birth to a man child of the LORD! Therefore, Cain should have been a man child of the LORD! So he, the serpent, goes ahead and tries and did get ahead of GOD and became the daddy, as being termed the father, of the firstborn, which should have been the Firstborn of the LORD! You see the mystery?
And so it is today that the enemy will try to get ahead and do what he thinks GOD would do, you see, and convey the thought to you and to others as if though it is logical and Evangelical!
But it was true--it was to have been of the LORD--but he (the serpent) was shrewd enough to try to make Eve convey the thought to Adam, it was of the LORD. But what says the Scripture by the Spirit having been interpreted?
'Cain slew his brother, Abel, for he was of that wicked one, the `other fellow', and not of the LORD!'
So the enemy of your soul will try to go before the LORD and convey thoughts to you, what you should do, to waste your time, your mind and your attention in self-indulgence and human affection for the appeasing of the serpent! You see the mystery?
So, as it was said, he goes before you to convey a thought as if though he was of the LORD; but the Scripture brought it out very plainly--
'He that hateth his brother without a cause is a murderer already!'
Cain was of that wicked one and he slew his brother, Abel! It is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
So the enemy will try to get ahead of GOD in every manner of expression and through self-indulgence, through vice and crime, and in these things will try to perform the illegitimate duty or prospective duty and mission of GOD! So it is wonderful! He goeth before you and tries to show you what you should do, to give your mind and attention to him, the man of sin! Why? Because he knows that it was predestined that you should give your mind and attention, your love and devotion, your ideas and opinions to him who liveth forever--the infinite one!--and not to the serpent. But he (the serpent) gets you to think, if possible, that you would be wise and great in the sight of others if you would listen to the knowledge and the wisdom given by the serpent! So that is the way those things go.
When it was reiterated to the serpent, 'The day we eat of this fruit we shall surely die,' the serpent, being the opponent of GOD and endeavoring to take GOD'S Place, even in the beginning of the creation on the earth plane, he said,
'Thou shalt not surely die and GOD knows that you will not die but you will be wise knowing good and evil!'
See the mystery?
So, just whatsoever it may have been predestined to be of GOD, the serpent attempted to acquire that authority by robbery when he functions in men, as explained, 'Will a man rob GOD? They all have robbed Me,' said the prophet concerning ME as I Spoke it within!
So the serpent as the serpent, and the serpent as man and his kind, have truly robbed GOD! They will attract your mind and attention, your love and devotion and cause you to be devoted to something in the opposite direction that is leading you definitely and directly erroneously! and if you do not know, you may say, 'well, I am just as well pleased to follow him or follow someone I love as for those of FATHER'S followers to follow him! Look at all of those other sisters and all they pay strict attention to GOD, to FATHER, and if I loved somebody, what would be the difference? If I pay attention to them the same as they do to HIM, what is the difference? That is what the serpent would say in the minds of those of whom he has bewitched; in other words, those of whom he has beguiled. He would cause you to think, 'well, what's the difference? I love this one and I love that one and I love the other!' But that is of the earth, earthy, and subject to corruption. It is destructive! It is erroneous! It is the serpent in man, robbing GOD of the honor due HIM!
So the difference is just that! It may be the same thing, apparently, in expression in the acts of your Duty in your love and devotion and your mind and attention being directed on the fundamental--but such an expression in the opposite direction is absolutely erroneous, but it is required to be and predestined to be in the positive! So that is the mystery!
'Thou shalt Love the LORD, Thy GOD, with all they Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength! This is the First and Great Commandment, and the Second is like unto it!'
It is calling your mind and attention, your love and devotion, your ideas and opinions in the positive direction and causing you to concentrate on the fundamental instead of concentrating in the erroneous direction that will lead you erroneously! So that is the difference and that is the mystery!
Just look at the Blessings; both material and spiritual blessings come by loving GOD and giving GOD your mind and attention, your love and devotion, your ideas and your opinions! The Health and the Happiness, the Peace and the Pleasure, the Success and Prosperity and Victory over all adversities come through and by giving GOD your Mind and Attention, your Love and Devotion, your Ideas and Opinions! But the serpent says, 'Not so!'
'Ye shalt not surely die if you do thus and so, but you will be wise as gods!'
--and HE does not want you to be as wise as HE is! the serpent declares,
'But I know as much as HE does, therefore, I will show you that I can make you wise as HE is!'
That is the mystery! And if you give in to that thought or that spirit you will think in that direction. Your Mind and Attention will be directed in that direction and you will not be able to differentiate between that and the other expression! So it is wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!
But whatsoever is done in mockery and in debauchery and done in trying to imitate or trying to express something that is as a counterfeit, the counterfeiters make things after the likeness of the reality--of the real thing that they are imitating! Therefore, it must be some real money somewhere, to find so much counterfeit money anywhere!
The counterfeiters are imitators and they will imitate in the negative and erroneously in that direction, in the exact likeness and image of the positive so near like it it would be almost impossible to tell the difference! You might say, 'well, what is the difference? I had just as well to dance, I had just as well to do this or that or the other as for others to do it!' But when you do it in the negative instead of the positive when you do it in debauchery and vice and crime instead of love and devotion and in the positive direction by moving by the spirit of GOD'S actual Presence as David did!--David danced in the presence of the lord but it was not the dance of vulgarity, profanity and obscenity! It was not even leading in that direction but to the extreme reverse expression; therefore it was glorifying GOD on the earth and in heaven!
The first man Adam was of the earth, earthy, and subject to death and destruction. The second Adam is the LORD from Heaven; is the hope of your redemption and your salvation! Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!
Secretary: I remember some months ago, a Sermon YOU gave, FATHER, about Lucifer falling from Heaven and carrying a third part of the stars with him.
FATHER: Sure! It goes to show you the information the serpent acquired in Heaven for salvation, when he was cast down he carried it down to the destruction of the nation! The same information that was acquired in Heaven for the salvation of all creation; but when he was cast down he carried it down for the destruction of all nations! It was the reversal of the gears of thinking and of actions but the same expression; one in the positive and one in the negative direction.
Secretary: That is why YOU say, 'You must be born again!' YOU say we must reverse our gears of thinking, because we were thinking erroneously.
FATHER: It is true!
