FATHER DIVINE speaks following an inspirational composition, 'Righteousness goes Marching On!')
Peace, Everyone: That last number was given by inspiration and brought out in that little composition as a 'V' Letter that was sent to Hirohito. No doubt a good many of you, practically all of you, have seen it--a copy of it, a photostat copy published in The New Day. And this, I say, was not a supposition. I knew as I know, unless wickedness and violence and savagery surrendered, they would be annihilated, for righteousness is marching on!
Just as our honored speaker said a little while ago, it is written:
'Righteousness shall cover the earth even as the waters the mighty deep.'
Just as we have it under our Personal Jurisdiction and as you see it manifested
wheresoever we are assembled, so shall it be from shore to shore and from land
to land. There are so many things I could say along this line, but it has been
well said.
We all are looking forward for righteousness to be established in the land and peace to be universally recognized--the purpose for which CHRIST came! The very Mission of CHRIST to the earth plane--I AM talking about JESUS of Nazareth--it was to bring good news and glad tidings! It was to bring Glory to GOD in the highest and on earth peace, to men of good will! That is why I say, good health, good will, a good appetite, because if you have these, you will have peace, for when you give GOD all of the glory and all of the honor, peace on earth and good will will be to men on the earth plane.
'Righteousness (it is written) exalteth the nation, while sin is a reproach to any people.'
Just think of the lofty government and haughty government of Germany and Japan
and of Italy, how sin brought great reproaches upon them. The Reverend Smith
spoke a little while ago something I was slightly looking at with a part of MY
secretarial staff, and he mentioned just what I said, especially in a letter
today. He usually gets it. He did not hear it personally, but he usually gets
it--how this country was called the Country of GOD; in other words, it was selected
and elected for the amalgamation of all nations, of all languages, of all tongues
and of all people the kind of people GOD made! Aren't you glad! That is what
I am talking about! That is why we love America!
As depicted, no doubt, you will be able to see it in this week's issue of The New Day, where and why this country was selected and why we do not have the trouble here as much as they have had in some of the other countries. This government documentally is fundamentally the Foundation of the Kingdom of GOD! I do not say all men and the representatives of government are representing the Kingdom of GOD, but it is documentally fundamentally the Foundation of the Kingdom of GOD!
And when the message came that Czechoslovakia was to be invaded, I sent out cablegrams and telegrams to practically all of the heads of the European nations and to those of our government proposing the purchasing of Czechoslovakia. I need not say more. It is better explained as read and as was said. There were many messages I sent out from that time, because I knew unless righteousness had access over there, the nations of the European countries would be a reproach!
But oh, how glorious it was, after they refused to heed the words of FATHER DIVINE, I saw where--as though it was that our Western Hemisphere was threatened. I then proposed the Unification of the Three Americas for national defense, and when they would not take cognizance of it, and I saw that war was continuing, then they began to buy Bonds and I called for the Unification of all of the Allied sovereignties for national defense. I also called on all of the allies to Unite Consolidatedly and Buy Bonds unlimitedly for national defense, and 'If we do it,' I said, 'the Axis will surrender unconditionally,' and this was not a supposition, MY fellow citizens, hearers and friends, for they did surrender unconditionally!
Now I AM calling for the unification of all of the sovereignties and I AM calling for an abolition of all of the state sovereignties that are unconstitutional! The sovereignties of states should not exist when they are not according to the Constitution of the United States. In any law or rule or regulation in violation to the Constitution of the United States in any State in the Union, it is bringing a reproach on this people and the government under which we are living.
For this cause, we--the people, shall have a Righteous Government and shall make null and void every State Constitution that is an unfederal Constitution, for that State Constitution that is unfederal constitutionally, it is undermining the Constitution of the United States!
There are many things I could say along this line, but time will not permit at the instance as there are many of whom we would like to hear from, but the time is quite well expired for the present. We will be going up in the Holy Communion Hall. We want our visiting guests to be seated and while we are serving, it may be that some of them would like to have something to say.
Now I would like to say, I do appreciate our visiting ministers of the Gospel to magnify that which is just and right as I see it. If it was only the honesty, competence, the decency and the respectable ness and the virtue of those of MY adherents! We do not ask our fellow citizens to call ME the Deity. If the Spirit does not reveal it, why, you cannot say it justifiably, for it is written:
'Who can say that JESUS is LORD except by the Holy Ghost?'
Again it is written:
'No man knoweth the FATHER but the SON, and no man knoweth the SON but the FATHER, saving him Whom the SON will reveal HIM.'
But for righteousness' sake, let each of us realize as one has declared, 'There
is a little bit of good in every little bad.' As representatives of the truth
of GOD as given by JESUS CHRIST, let each of us, even though we may not be called
Christians, we may be called Jews or other religious faiths, let us magnify the
good in every body and minimize and cancellate the negative that the positive
might be established, and Righteousness shall flow like a river and all mankind
shall enjoy the Goodness of Creation while all wickedness shall fail as it is
failing.
Take these thoughts to consideration. For this I stress MY appreciation of those of our fellow ministers, fraternity brethren, to magnify that which is good. Even if you would happen to think that there would be a good bit of bad about Myself, magnify the good I AM producing and I will help you and this whole nation, for our civilization is actually threatened! This is not a supposition! Unless the world gets some religion, as it may be termed, I say, our civilization is so threatened, it may go into oblivion! Other civilizations have perished, have they not? As I said of a recent date, (it is wonderful!) that there are ten-ton earth-buster atom bombs in the making and they can be transported by remote control! They can be dumped out in country after country, passing through the ether at the rate of sound speed and twice the speed of sound, some fifteen hundred miles an hour, and they can be dropped from country to country and dropped as you would dump with your dump cart or truck. I say, Such as that is in the making!
Let us get together! Let us stand together! I AM not saying it just to frighten you, but I AM telling you just as I told Hirohito and Tojo about surrendering just as the Nazis did surrender unconditionally; therefore, it was essential for them to surrender when I sent the Message. I thank you.
