Dear Reverend Divine:
I am an African Student from Nigeria, studying in Lincoln University, who was introduced to the Lorraine Hotel during the last Thanksgiving recess. As a stranger in strange country, I set out for Philadelphia, wondering in my mind what a dreary life it would be in a lone hotel, where the owners are usually more mindful of making money than caring for the occupants.
The first pleasant surprise came immediatly on arrival when someone I had never met, greeted me in the hotel with "Peace, brother!" Nearly every person I met from that time on, showed me a friendly and kindly disposition. Then I began to ask and was told of Your wonderful organization. To be frank, Father, the few days I spent in the Hotel have been my happiest days in America. It is so pleasant and comfortable to be there, and I hope to spend every holiday of mine there. But I must thank Father for all the blessings that He has provided for mankind. The Hotel Lorraine is indeed "a Haven of rest, a shelter in the time of a storm."
I have, since my return to this place, written to tell friends in Africa of Your wonderful provision to cater for the needs of less privileged and especially to provide a comfortable place where foreign students can really find a home.

My dear Mr. Uka: —
Your letter of the 11th is received. I thank you for the courtesy of writing and expressing your appreciation for the help you have received in the time of need.
The very purchase of the hotel, and others similarly by MY followers, was made through the Spirit of co-operation for universal service for the people generally. It is our specific aim to serve humanity, and not to take away from them. It is our fundamental creed to lift up the unadulterated Standards of Christianity, Democracy, Brotherhood and true Judaism synonymously.
The impregnation of these ideals among the people will make the wheels of Democracy work effectively for each and everyone, and they will revolve with increasing speed and accuracy until they shall cause the administrative wheel of government to run with Justice, and cause the universal wheels of all governments to run in Unity, for this is the Righteous Government that I AM establishing on earth among men.
All of our hotels, homes, extensions, training schools and churches are operated as a true Democracy. Our economic laws of Justice and Equity for all have established the low cost of living for the people. Our actuated laws of Unity and Brotherhood convey the unadulterated standards of social, political and economic Peace and Security. I have produced a clean bill of health in each and all of these activities and systems of men and government.

I AM fulfilling the proposal I made to Mr. Trygve Lie on Dec.9, 1946 A.D.F.D. which I quote as follows!

I propose that the UN accept of Philadelphia
as the Capital of the United Countries of the World,
as this is the Cradle of Democracy.
Let us establish the foundation of the
Universal Brotherhood of man
and make this
the Country Seat of the United Sovereignties of
the world.

This is the Country Seat of Democracy for it is the only place where Democracy is truly at work. It is the nucleus from which MY Work of Righteousness is spreading to all nations of the world. This is it of which David of old spoke about, declaring:
"Righteousness and Judgment are the habitation of His throne.
"His lightnings enlighten the world: the earth saw and trembled."
{Psalm 97:2,4)
You have declared MY Righteousness and MY Judgment in courtesy and kindness and Peace you received while residing at the Divine Lorraine Hotel. MY Teaching of Truth and Justice are MY lightnings that are enlightening the world; and the earth — the inhabitants in mortality and crime — are looking and they are trembling, for man's day of greed and selfishness, of sin and wickedness is done.
If the United Sovereignties of the world will accept and will enforce the fundamentals of Universal Brotherhood that are already at work among millions following ME, there will be no more conflicting problems of economic insecurity, of international division and strife or power politics.
As Philadelphia is the Cradle of Democracy, the birthplace of the Constitution and of the Declaration of Independence, it is similarly the Country Seat of Human Rights. If the member nations of the UN will search themselves and will re-establish their sincerity in the very purpose of the United Nations, if they will weigh every problem on the scale of Human Rights, they will surely step up on higher ground and will find the threat of war engulfing the nations completely dissolved, and the progress of Peace made easy.
MY Perfect Work and Mission is a definite pattern and example for them to go by, for I have raise up a Righteous Nation of people in their midst. These are they of every nation and tongue, of every complexion and race. They stand on one common level, in the unity of Spirit of mind, of aim and of purpose. Now who can destroy this Bond of Unity or thwart MY universal plan of international Brotherhood?
Let MY Spirit go with you in all of your affairs and you will be successful, for MY Spirit is Success. Let MY Mind direct you in all things that concern you, and you will prosper and be as this leaves ME, for I AM and shall eternally remain Well, Healthy, Joyful, Peaceful, Lively, Loving, Successful, Prosperous and Happy in Spirit, Body and Mind and in every organ, muscle, sinew, joint, limb, vein and bone and even in every Atom, fibre and cell of MY Bodily Form.
