FATHER DIVINE Peace Missions
The stand of millions with regard to the Social Security Act is summed up in a letter from one follower of FATHER DIVINE setting forth the reasons for disapproval of this issue. This letter was read during the course of the banquet on this occasion, and at the conclusion of the reading our Savior delivered another enlightening Message explaining more fully the version of this writer and others.
The sacrifice of anything for Righteousness' sake is always well rewarded, as has often been illustrated by FATHER, but in this Message HE speaks from a personal angle, showing how even former personal connections are not missed in the CHRIST Consciousness, for the reality of the person is always replaced, leaving no sense of bereavement. In the same manner are the promises which are not fulfilled in one, yet fulfilled in other bodies on whom it pleases GOD to bestow the talent, gift or calling, thus leaving no loss or void.

Dwell in this Light, dwell in this Light,
This Light is the Life, this Light is Love.
Dwell in this Light, dwell in this Light,
This Life is the Light of the world.
FATHER DIVINE speaks as follows:
PEACE EVERYONE! That little composition just came forth for your consideration although it may be words that you have heard in other compositions; but yet to you in this one it is a Message I AM conveying.
'This Life is the Light of the world.'
As you live in this Light and dwell therein, it lights up the pathway before
the children of men. Those who desire to walk therein will have the Light that
you have seen. Can you not see the mystery? For it is just as expressive, as
I say continually, and as you walk in this Light, it will give light for others
so that they might see as they come in contact with you, this Life is the Light
of the world.
When your life is exemplified before the children of men as the reproduction of HIM Who liveth forever, it is an outward expression of that which I AM stressing.
'This Life is the Light of the world.'
The very Life you live and the Light you give, it lights up the pathway for the
children of men and it causes them to observe things such as they had not observed
concerning HIM.
This letter as lastly read, the two should be considered, and each of you who do not accept of the Social Security Act as it is, should take cognizance of that letter; for it was a message speaking according to the conviction of millions who do not believe in leaning on the arms of man for help. I know at times sacrifices are made by so doing, but your sacrifices you are making will not be in vain; for what said CHRIST concerning the thing?
'Whatsoever you forsake (or lose) for my name's sake, you will gain an hundredfold more in this present time and in the world to come, Life Everlasting.'
As an abstract expression this evening and morning, you can see a sketch and
a reflection of the mystery we all here are exhibiting. As relatives and kin
you find them here, until you retrace your thoughts back to materialism and mortality.
You find the sense of the feeling of the presence of those with whom you have
been connected, especially if they were dear and near to you apparently. When
you do not feel that sense of the feelings of the presence of them, it is because
you have not made the rightful contact with ME, as would be said by some with "HIM",
to feel the Actual Presence of GOD as being rich and all you need.
I see men and brethren and women and sisters wheresoever they are gathered, as those whom I have been with heretofore I mean those who knew ME a few years ago as followers as I stand, as believers and as friends, they may be apparently passed on, some of them who failed to live according to My Teaching. But the reproduction of them, I see them just the same in evidence in actions and in deeds and the very spirit of such a presence never leaves ME.
JESUS CHRIST was the first-born among many brethren as a Sample and as an Example for others. Those who copy after the Life of Jesus will be partakers of the same contagion and will eventually be as He is and has been characteristically, and the very same presence of those who have been with you will be with you continually. A sense of bereavement is not known in the Kingdom. You cannot be bereaved, for GOD is the eradicator and the dispeller of bereavement by replacing and substituting that which has been apparently taken; for the reality of that one has never been taken it is only the outward expression of that one that would cause you to be bereaved, if you would be, in mortal consciousness.
I mean even such as those who would be called your family in mortal consciousness, and as with the family of the earth concerning yourself, so with the Family in the Kingdom of GOD. If perchance there be one with whom you have been connected, working systematically and harmoniously together, if that one would apparently go back or be cut off in some way, if you hold fast to the Spirit and the recognition of CHRIST as the reality of that one, GOD will give it a body as it pleases HIM and you will see it come forth into expression in evidence in person where you would not be destitute nor would you be disappointed, for you would have the evidence with you, although apparently in some other likeness. That is the mystery.
So it is a true saying it is not a supposition:
'Christ is rich and all you need; God will your every hunger feed.'
Truly might have Jesus said:
'Lo, I am with you always.'
The Allness of GOD and the nothingness of matter will be in evidence as the substitution
of the matter if necessary. The reality of that which is apparently taken is
ever present, for CHRIST is that of which you are observing. Can you not see
the mystery? Hence,
'Lo, I will be with you." "I will be with you always!'
'I will never leave you nor forsake you,'
said HE. The same Spirit is speaking today.
Take these thoughts to consideration and with this understanding and this recognition it would be a matter of impossibility for you to be a failure; for the same that has said, "I will be you," that was in evidence in that experience will be with you continually throughout all eternity.
I retrace thoughts back to many, many years ago when some were with ME even as you all are now, who have been apparently cut off the stage of action and apparently gone to see or try the reality of an unknown world, according to the mortal version of men; yet the same presence being in evidence as though they were personally present; for GOD gives the same spirit and the same gift and same calling, bodies as it pleases HIM. Can you not see the mystery?
I recall, as I think I told you all once before, a chauffeur-mechanic came to ME nearly twenty years ago when I was driving MYSELF Personally and delighted in driving, and he said, "I would drive for YOU wheresoever YOU go, if YOU would allow me to. Just let me finish this position", or words to that effect. He was at the same place he had signed up for a short time, and after he finished that position he said, "I would be willing (or I am willing) to drive for YOU even across the pond' if necessary, and do YOUR mechanical work absolutely gratis (or free, he may have said)." And I said, "Well, that promise that has been made, it came not by the will of man, neither by the will of the blood; for this man to ME was no blood kin, neither did it come by the will of the flesh; for in the flesh we were not fleshly connected. It was not by the will of man, for he did not have any special right to care to do anything for ME as a m-a-n; for I had not Personally done anything for him.
But by the Will of GOD he came and he made the offer voluntarily, and I said then to Mother and others who were with ME at that time, I said, "I accept of this promise that he has made and I receive it and I cherish it and recognize it. The promise that is made is of GOD, though he as a person may be a failure; he as a person may deviate and even not consider it after he has said it; but I recognize the Spirit saying it." I held the promise faithfully and truthfully and it took form in bodies thereafter; but it was not fulfilled in that particular body for GOD gave it a body as it pleased HIM. Can you not see the mystery?
And as with the chauffeur, so with every other necessary co-worker and co-operation, everything that life demands that could be given or demanded by man, all things were at My disposal and at My service and always has been. All things always have been; but from one to the other, it has bodies in which to appear. The body that is qualified and ready to receive such a calling will receive that calling and fill that office. That is the mystery.
And as with ME as a Person, so with you, each and everybody. These are the Words of GOD as consolation, when you might feel as if though you could be desolated, disappointed or could be deprived of something, could lose something. It is a matter of impossibility to be a loser with this concept and recognition of the truth concerning the mystery I have told you. Can you not see the mystery?
Then I say, it is a privilege to live in such a recognition and to be filled with so much enthusiasm and allow CHRIST in reality to be with you once and forever, adjusting matters satisfactorily; and when it speaks through one, whether you are conscious of it or not, if you are all of one heart and of one mind and are all of one accord, you can say, even as I have said, or think the same: "Here you all are and there I AM, there I sit and here you stand."
That Message that was given in those two last letters, that was a Message from one and thousands of others, but one bespeaking the thoughts and the versions and ideas and opinions of others. Therefore, we endorse such and co-operate with it by taking cognizance of the Message it is conveying, for it did not merely convey a Message for the purpose of getting exemption but it conveyed the Message of Salvation, of self-denial and consecration and of how you all should sacrifice your lives for your religious conviction.
Oh, how glorious it is to observe the mystery and to build upon such a foundation and keep in consciousness with you now, henceforth and forever. It has been a pleasure to be here tonight, and to bring before your mind's eye something that is stressed in your memory, whatsoever it is. As you stress it and as you live it, so will it be. You will not be obliged to stress especially the Righteous Government songs as a Message particularly, but you will stress Righteousness in deeds and in actions so effectively, your life will be a song of one eternal praise of Righteousness, of Truth and of Justice. By this you will tell others the reality of what I AM doing for you and what you are endeavoring. I thank you.
