FATHER Divine's New Years's Greetings
PEACE, EVERYONE!
Good health, good will and a good appetite, with the abundance of all good things, for every nation, language, tongue and people, and for each and every individual, life, liberty and the reality of happiness that which has been merely an imagination by our great Nation. To you I come, bringing all of the nations of the earth together in one, that we might live nationally and internationally even as I have it among MY Followers as a sample and an example. All of these blessings come through the unity of spirit, of mind, of aim and of purpose, and by living evangelically according to the Life and the Teaching of JESUS the CHRIST for as with an individual, so with a nation; and as with one nation, so with all nations universally.
At this particular cycle of time, and at this time of world crises as you all see and know them, I feel that nothing is more important to the peace and security of our Western Hemisphere, and even to the peace of the world at large, than the proposal I have advanced to President Roosevelt and the heads of the twenty-one American Republics, for the unification of all the Americas. I wired this proposal to President Roosevelt, December 9th, 1939, as follows:
Peace! "Why not unite the three Americas as a national and international defense for Peace! Let there be the United Countries of America, even as this is the United States of America; if not, I propose that the United States purchase Central and South America and make all the Americas one Democracy.'
As a humane Worker, I appeal to this Country, the United States of America, and to all of the twenty-one republics of Central and South America to unify together. This will be your real national and international defense. Why sacrifice billions of dollars for national defense to be destroyed by your enemies, when you can invest billions of dollars constructively from a scientific point of view, by accepting of this proposal according to MY Plan and according to the purpose?
Do not think that I AM fanatic. I have stressed the Constitution and its Amendments for many years so vividly until thousands and millions, not only in this Country but in the South and Central American countries, have been converted into the spirit of this democracy. They are calling for deliverance; they are calling for a Deliverer! This Country can be the salvation of millions of lives from destruction, from immorality, from sickness and disease, and from the invasions by which we are now partially threatened. Furthermore, such a unification would solve our immigration, economic and unemployment problems almost over night, lift the standard of wages, and make us absolutely independent of all other nations.
I have made this proposal for the purpose of bringing about a close relationship and an at-one-ment between the different republics of the Americas, to bring an end to war by the united body assembled. When this shall have been established in this Western Hemisphere we will have a national and an international defense that will be constructive and not destructive, as the millions and billions that are being spent for the purpose of national defense. If we build up a bulwark of united republics and united powers, according to the Gospel, it would be a matter of impossibility for other powers to overcome us. There is not a power in the civilized world today that would attack this Country, for we would have a population of over three hundred million, we would have all of the natural resources, all of the energy, and man-power, and machine power that would be necessary for our defense, and we would have a real national defense.
Do not wait until the crisis shall come to your America, but take cognizance of MY Message and consider it. If any of these Americas would be invaded or attacked, according to the Monroe Doctrine we would automatically be involved in another war. But if all of these twenty-one republics will unify themselves together and accept the equal rights of our American Independence under the Constitution and its Amendments, and adhere to our Bill of Rights, we will bring an end to every prospect of a war in this Country.
If this would be done, we would not be obliged to wait until some of these republics with which we are connected according to the Monroe Doctrine, are threatened and are at stake as it may be termed as it was with Czechoslovakia. I sent telegrams or cablegrams to the different representatives, proposing the purchase of Czechoslovakia for the purpose of saving that little republic from invasion and the destruction of her individual democracy, as it may be termed, and for the purpose of saving millions of lives; but apparently it was too late.
The unification of the Americas would be a great step in the right direction. It would serve as a sample and an example for the rest of the world. Can you not see how great it would be if all of the nations of the earth not only these twenty-one republics but all of the nations of the earth would join together in the reality of the unity of the spirit, of mind, of aim and of purpose? I do not mean that they should merely unite as The League of Nations, each democracy being a separate democracy, and divided against themselves, but I mean that they should actually unite. Instead of just confederating themselves together as different democracies MY proposal is that they unite together in one democracy, with one flag, one language, one speech, and one people.
Then the universal brotherhood of man and the recognition of the Fatherhood of GOD could be realized. Until this is accomplished there can be no real peace, no joy, no happiness. Men seek happiness, health and everything desirable. They seek those things and they find them not by the avenues and ways through which they seek them. Some seek perfect happiness, perfect peace, by seeking great wealth, and some seek great learning intellectually and other ways of expression; but there is no real peace and perfect happiness until they find their GOD. Philip said,
' Show us the Father and it sufficeth us.
I believe that Philip was an individual speaker in his statement as a prediction concerning himself and all of the people; they will be satisfied when they see GOD effectively as he sought to see HIM.
You need not doubt nor fear misery or woe, for CHRIST your Savior is here below filling all space and absent from none, matters not where you go or where you come. The very Spirit of GOD'S Presence can satisfy everyone, but the relaxation of the conscious mentality is the great essential the stilling of the personal egotism, personality, individuality and all of mortality's expressions that GOD Himself might move and speak and act intuitively by inspiration and by intuition. It is a wonderful privilege to know it!
GOD is not confined, neither bound by the mortal version; GOD transcends every opposition, every barrier and every limitation, GOD is actually Present. Relax, let go and let GOD, and GOD will let you! If you seek Me diligently you will find Me! And you will always enjoy a bright and happy Eternal New Year, for I AM Well, Healthy, Joyful, Peaceful, Lively, Loving, Successful, Prosperous and Happy in Spirit, Body and Mind and in every organ, muscle, sinew, joint, limb, vein and bone, and even in every atom, fibre and cell of My Bodily Form.
