It was indeed a marvelous experience and one not to be forgotten, to see this large spacious hall, capable of seating around twelve thousand as estimated by some, packed and jammed to capacity, with every available standing space in the aisles and the doorways filled with visitors and onlookers. Of course this is a matter of course with FATHER; for wheresoever HE goes Personally, being the MAGNET of SALVATION, naturally HE ATTRACTS and DRAWS the masses from every walk of life; for HE IS for every man, woman and child, that SATISFYING PORTION, that SATISFIER and ANSWERER of all desires and prayers, therefore there will never be a hall or auditorium created, large enough to hold HIS audience.
Some of the many visitors who were present on this occasion and who made themselves known, were:
Mr. High, Junior, of Riverdale, New York, who entertained FATHER at his home
recently;
Mr. and Mrs. Newton and family of London, England, who receive many hundreds
of letters weekly from all parts of Europe requesting to know more about FATHER
and HIS Work;
Mrs. Newton's talk, will be published in the August 3rd issue of The NEW DAY;
Mr. Malcolm R. Lovell, prominent Quaker, whose speech is recorded in same issue;
Mr. Chester Thomas, attorney, who spoke highly of FATHER'S Work;
Dr. Sutcliff, of Australia, prominent lecturer and world traveler, who has
known of FATHER'S Work for a number of years and remarks in the next issue
of The NEW DAY;
Miss Law, his secretary;
Captain Bloomer, former newspaper editor and founder of "Safe and Sane
Fourth of July" who introduced
Miss Revenal, American composer;
Miss Burns, head organist of the World's Fair;
Judge Rainey* of Philadelphia, who is very much engrossed in FATHER'S Work
and his friend,
Mr. Fabiani,* prominent Philadelphian;
Mr. Reading, also of Philadelphia;
Mr. Fox, who spoke highly of FATHER'S Principles, and
Mr. Booz;
Mr. Equi of Long Island, who also greatly admires FATHER and HIS Righteous
Doctrine;
Mrs. Shirley Wynne, wife of the former health commissioner of New York City;
Miss Gould, interested worker in Righteous Government;
Mr. Arthur A. Madison, attorney and admirer of FATHER's accomplishments;
Dr. Howell, of Columbia University, and leader of reconciliation trips and
a large group of teachers and ministers from all parts of the United States
which accompanied him;
Dr. Broadman, prominent physician, also noted for his complete library and
collection of world war data and who is in complete accord with FATHER and
HIS great MISSION of PEACE and GOOD WILL to all men; as well as many other
visitors; Mr. Ross Humble, former metaphysician and Truth teacher, but who
now considers himself a devout follower of FATHER DIVINE.
Dr. Broadman spoke on the subject of Education, then
FATHER DIVINE arises to speak as follows:)
PEACE, EVERYONE: Here we all are again; there I sit and stand; here I go and there I Come--that is the way to be ONE; that is the way I brought you all together in one, by unifying MYSELF firstly with every good and desirable expression, word, deed or action that is good for each and everybody unselfishly. I would just like to say at this instance, it is true, as the last speaker said, I Came to take the bad out of every little thing and place the good in every big thing, but as the second to the last speaker said, you have been taught in your school and a good many of you have been fooled. You thought many things that you were taught in school were just and right and true. Even your cursed vulgar name by which a good many of you have been called, you thought those cursed names were true until I Came to you. But I Came to let you know you can be taught in school and be taught bad as the second to the last speaker said.
So long as you are taught selfishness, so long as you are taught how to segregate and discriminate without a cause, especially because of some mortal method of men you are being taught and educated bad or evil, as it may be termed, but I Came to get at that evil among the nations and root it out from among them.
You have been taught many things that are wrong, therefore, if you are educated in the wrong, it will take ME quite a while to get you un-educated again and cause you to lose that cursed education by which you have been educated. Can you not see the mystery?
The majority of the people are taught as much wrong as they are right, and really more wrong than they are right. That is what the schools teach you. All of your great seminaries, as the last speaker said a little while ago--even in New England states, you find segregation, you find discrimination and you find prejudice preeminent and as effective in the New England states in a great measure as they are in the dead South; segregation and discrimination and prejudice in evidence from the different angles of expression. But I Came to bring an end to such! If I do not do it by the Spirit of Righteousness, by educating them, this democracy, according to the Constitution and its Amendments, I will do it by the Cosmic Forces of Nature! Now tell all creation I said it!
When I speak of the Cosmic Forces of Nature and speak in them, men realize it is GOD Speaking! But if I speak as a man, as Moses did, they will not and they do not want to hear ME. But I shall speak as never before! I shall let them know GOD deals in the affairs of men! There are not enough powers among them to hinder HIM! Aren't you glad!
When I say, I shall have MY way! We do not think you have been taught wrong, we know you have! You have inculcated and reincarnated the false, erroneous teaching of the prejudiced and the malicious until you believe it is right, but I Came to convert you out of that Adamic state of consciousness, that you might learn to know just what is right and good and true, which is to say, that which is of GOD and that which is not of GOD.
These thoughts are well worth considering. I could talk all evening; but I think I had better refrain from speaking, for I have something to tell you a little later on. If I do not tell you Personally, I will tell you mentally or spiritually, or I will speak within you and tell you. I may not speak verbally; the very Spirit of MY Presence will speak within you! That is the way I speak to men at times; that is the way they hear ME more distinctly.
Now I do not even try to coerce MY followers to follow ME. I do not coerce them in endorsing ME nor in loving ME! But I believe you all love ME! Now Love is ignitable, it is reciprocatable; therefore I reciprocate, and as I have extended and transmitted and reincarnated in turn for the Love extended to ME, I reciprocate!
Remember, there are many ways you are taught wrong and you get it in you and you think you are right until someone else comes along and changes that version in your mind completely by a real conversion by the Spirit. Now you think differently from what you used to think!
Every school that will and every school that does--at least, all of the schools that do teach segregation because of race, creed or color, or because of nationality or any such an expression, you may know that school is not a school of this democracy! It is in violation to the Constitution and its Amendments and it is trying to undermine the Foundation of this government. Even though you are not conscious of it, you go along endorsing such outrages against the Foundation of this government and you think it is right--you have been taught it was right--but the time is near at hand when I shall bring all nations, all languages, all tongues and all people in the Unity of the Spirit, of Mind of Aim and of Purpose and cause them to LOVE ONE ANOTHER even as these do under MY Personal Jurisdiction, or else something will sweep them off of the face of the earth! And I will not do it by physical power, I will not do it by the bullet--I may try it by the ballot if they ill allow Righteousness to have access in this grace wherein I stand and allow the legalization of a Righteous Government among the children of men--but if I do not do it by the ballot and by righteousness, I will do it by the cosmic forces of nature! Now, tell them I said it!
We shall have a Righteous Government, and just as I have it on MY immediate staff, every people, all nations and all languages had better come together and had better love one another and act it out just as I have taught you! I demand you to do it! Aren't you glad! I think I had better stop! Now I said, just as I have it on MY immediate staff and in these different audiences where I Am officiating, so shall we have it universally--that is, if the people live on the face of the earth! And there will be no more sorrow no more crying, no more pain and no more death, for the former things are passed away; and, "I, John" he declared, he saw
the Holy city and the New Jerusalem coming down from GOD out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband!
Aren't you glad!
And again I wish to say, John declared in the same revelation, yea; in this great revelationic prediction, he saw that
'the TABERNACLE of GOD is with men and HE shall Dwell with them and GOD HIMSELF shall be with them and shall be their GOD and they shall be HIS People!'
Is not this it of which the revelation was speaking? You all know it is true!
Now take these thoughts to consideration and remember, that which I have declared, as was in the beginning when GOD said, "Let there be light," light was obliged to appear. Now GOD, as said through the revelationic prediction of John,
'The TABERNACLE of GOD is with men and HE shall Dwell with them and GOD HIMSELF shall be with them...'
it did not say anything about the Angels of GOD; it did not say that JESUS would
be with them; not in that revelationic prediction, but "GOD HIMSELF shall
be with them and shall be their GOD and they shall be HIS People!" This
day it is fulfilled in your hearing and ever shall be! I thank you.
