FATHER DIVINE

It is hoped that the little Message delivered by FATHER on this occasion will fall into the hands of those ignorant class-conscious people who object to living in the same neighborhood as the Followers of FATHER DIVINE, for it should serve as a lesson to warn them that they are not trifling with man when they attempt to segregate, but with their own CREATOR, FATHER DIVINE! "The proof of the pudding is in the eating" and the aftermath of the prejudiced thoughts and acts of men is quite unpleasant, to put it mildly, as illustrated in the reaction of the cosmic forces of nature in floods, earthquakes, tornadoes and the like. "Wrath and vengeance are Mine," says the LORD, and, "That which a man sows he must also reap. "Praise the HOLY NAME of the LORD, FATHER DIVINE!

PEACE, EVERYONE! Here we all are again just the same as we have been in that Message just read. I reiterate, I repeat, I stress, I convey the same over and over again until it shall be stamped in the hearts and lives and in the minds of the children of men, that they might see and know the TRUTH concerning ME.

I would just like to say at this instance, in this week's issue of the "New Day" we have published the Constitution and its Amendments. I think it would be a good thing for each and every person--not only those who call themselves MY Followers, but others--to read and stress it vividly and inculcate and reincarnate the spirit and the meaning of the Constitution individually, with all of its Amendments, the Bill of Rights, and allow these to be brought to fruition in you individually even as they have been established among you. If you do, I will be with you.

Of course, there are many different Messages, published in each issue of the "New Day," aside from many hints to the wise, of which are sufficient. If you take cognizance of the Messages given in the "New Day" and all of the other hints as conveyed, you will know where to shop, who to shop with and who to buy from. As I say, we do not accustom ourselves to buying merchandise from those who segregate or discriminate on account of race, creed or color.

I thought a little while ago, as MY attention was called to the alleged fact--I hope it is not a fact--that the people in New Rochelle, where a few of MY Followers purchased property, those who are supposed to be the higher-ups, respectable people--I hope they are not savages, as the papers convey the thought that they are. I would not have thought that the respectable people and high class American citizens would be filled with so much prejudice and dissension as to be indignant because MY Followers purchased the property. I would not have considered that high class people in high class neighborhoods would be savages like those in Chinatown; but according to the statement of even the New York Times, evidence shows that there are savages there the same as they would be in the most low class, among the most low classed people of civilization.

MY Followers did not purchase the property to run a liquor joint! They will not run anything like that--it is a private residence, and they shall live there the same as other folks, and the beauty part of it is that it just happened to be one among them of whom I mentioned in this Message. Two years ago she did not have a penny. Aren't you glad!

Truly might have one said:

"Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying,
Lift up the fallen, Jesus is merciful,
Jesus will save."

I Came to save you and even all civilization from perishing! I Came to save this advanced civilization from all depressions, from all lacks, from all wants and from all limitations the millions have been undergoing for the last ten or fifteen years.

Why should you live in lacks and wants and limitations when the earth is the LORD'S and the fullness thereof? "The cattle on a thousand hills are Mine, says the LORD. "Aren't you glad!

MY Followers will come into possession of all sorts of decent, respectable places throughout this land and country, regardless to their alleged complexion or alleged race or color, and there are not enough savages in the universe to prohibit it! Aren't you glad! I have not done anything yet to what I will do! The under-privileged and the non-privileged shall be lifted!

As I said some time ago, I Came to exalt the valleys and bring the mountains and hills low, and I shall bring all on one common level universally as I go, and establish Righteousness, Truth and Justice as I have it on MY immediate Staff; and there shall be no longer divisions among the nations; for, "Where there is division there is strife."

I thought last year I gave them a little warning of what would be. What about those all out on the Island throughout the East here? Homes they did not allow folks who looked like ME, to go in, as they term them to be, but the flood went in their homes and carried their homes out to sea.

I recall here about twenty-two or twenty-three years ago--it must have been a little more than that, a good many of you may remember it--when tar came up in Rockaway Beach.* (That was 1916 or 1917) Did you read of it? Aren't you glad! We went down to Rockaway Beach once and they did not want us to go in swimming, and I said, "If I cannot go in, others shall not go in." Shortly after that tar came up there and some attempted to take a chance to go in anyway and the tar stuck on them. They had some time getting rid of it, and the same Spirit is speaking and acting today.

I AM acting economically, I AM acting socially, I AM acting politically, I AM acting intellectually or educationally, I AM acting from every angle expressible just accordingly, which is to say, just as I did them concerning a little enjoyment in the act of taking a swim. Aren't you glad!

But we shall have a Righteous Government over and above every opposition, over and above every criticism, and those who are worthy and will live Evangelically, even though you have been under-privileged and non-privileged, I will give you the same privilege all others have.

Politically you have been guaranteed Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Now, at the time that tar came up in Rockaway Beach and throughout the bathing beaches, they did not know from whence came all that tar. I suppose they thought I was too much like the tar to go in bathing. The papers all stated they sought to find out whether there had been any ship sunk with tar that caused all of the tar to come up there. For many days they could not go in swimming without getting filled with the tar. Well, if I would have gone in with MY guests, MY Followers--just a few of them I had with ME--then if we would have gone in, we would have come out of the water and would not have gone against the people like the tar did when they went in. They had better mind how they fool with GOD!

It is a known fact, as has been declared, the cosmic forces of nature, they obey ME. They work in perfect harmony with ME, and those who oppose ME, they are opposing the creative forces of nature, the cosmic forces of nature and they are opposing the hand of nature. They are opposing the very Spirit and the Life of human nature! GOD is the AUTHOR and the FINISHER of all things! Aren't you glad!

Then I say, they had better lay off, for I have not done anything yet to what I will do, and I will cause others to observe the mystery and accept of MY Message, those who have been under-privileged, that I might lift them and give them a privilege where they have not had any privilege. I will not do it Personally, but what says the Scripture concerning the mystery?

"It is not by power, nor by might, but by My Spirit."

Then I say, MY SPIRIT will do it! I need not say a word--MY SPIRIT will do it! Now, that is something to consider! As I said the other day, even if you do not know Who I AM, it is all the same--it matters not. If I say,

"...not by power nor by might, but by My Spirit, says the LORD,"

well, if GOD is going to do it by HIS SPIRIT, even if you do not know Who I AM, why, the SPIRIT will do it with or without a man. Can you not see the mystery?

Then I say, let the SPIRIT do it and it will do it, and naught shall hinder HIM. Jot these thoughts down in your vocabularies and as with the cosmic forces of nature, they work in harmony with ME, Health and Vigor and Courage and every other desirable expression of life, so shall all of the unknown expressions of life work in harmony; for they are the creation of GOD, your LORD and your SAVIOR, the great CREATOR!

But oh, how glorious it will be when the whole universe shall have recognized this Truth as these of Mine do! Aren't you glad! There will be no longer wars, race riots and confusion. There will be no more vice and no more crime. The Scripture will be fulfilled according to the revelationic prediction of John in the Twenty-first Chapter of Revelation:

"GOD will wipe all tears from their eyes, there shall be no more sorrow, neither shall there be any more crying, for the former things are passed away."

Aren't you glad!

You can see, even in society the formal things are passing away, are they not? Aren't you glad! As I said some time ago, I will make your crooked ways straight and your rough ways plain! I said,

"I AM using Mrs. Roosevelt to make the crooked way straight in society".

..Aren't you glad!...to exalt the valleys in society! Aren't you glad!

These are facts and figures too stout to be denied, hence they shall be established. The same thing shall be established universally until all of the crookedness that has been in society shall be straightened out as well as in politics and in religion, in science and in invention, as well as in the labor system and the capitalistic system, in business, profession, labor and trade, and in all of the fields of endeavor Righteousness shall have free access among us, and GOD HIMSELF shall adjust matters satisfactorily and cause humanity to right the wrongs they have been doing. Aren't you glad!

There are many things I could say along this line, but I believe I have said enough, for I will speak more distinctly in deeds and in actions and I will put MY SPIRIT in you as I have in others, by transmission and by reincarnation, and cause them to walk in MY statutes universally throughout all of the nation. That is the mystery of putting it over! Can you not see it? I thank you. I thank you. I thank you!
