- Infinite Principle of the Universe that governs all creation,
and which has Personified Itself in this day and time in the Body of FATHER
DIVINE for the redemption of mankind. This is a Spiritual Revelation which
has been revealed to millions. We do not proselyte.
- We believe in GOD'S own Son, JESUS CHRIST, as the Sample and Example for mankind,
Who is the Wayshower back to the FATHER. To be a follower of FATHER DIVINE,
we read and study the four Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
and pattern our lives after the Holiness of Jesus and the Virginity of Mary.
- We are Protestant. We believe that
scripture is being fulfilled as recorded in the King James version of the
Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible. The Peace Mission Churches are
founded on the Sermon On The Mount.
- We believe that Heaven is a State of
Consciousness, and is to be realized on earth in answer to Jesus' Prayer
to "Let Thy Kingdom come and Thy Will be done on earth as it is in
Heaven."
- We believe that Americanism is our Religion and
that the Principles of Americanism, Brotherhood, Christianity, Democracy
and true Judaism are synonymous. We live communally in the recognition of
the Brotherhood of Man and the Fatherhood of GOD.
- Reverend MAJOR J. DIVINE (FATHER DIVINE) married Peninnah on June 6, 1882.
On April 29, 1946, in Washington, D.C. FATHER DIVINE legally married SWEET
ANGEL (MOTHER DIVINE) This
Marriage is international, interracial and truly Spiritual in nature, and is
for the purpose of propagating Virtue, Holiness,
Honesty, Competence and Truth.
It symbolizes the Marriage of CHRIST to the Church and the Union of GOD and
man.
The Light of Virtue and Holiness is Ever Present.
MOTHER DIVINE declared of FATHER DIVINE, "I KNOW YOU ARE GOD,' and FATHER
DIVINE, in marrying Her, married everyone who has that same conviction.
- We believe that GOD is the Blesser and absolutely independent of man in
every way. CHRIST is rich and all we need. Therefore, we do no soliciting or
fund raising of any kind for any purpose. We do not take up collections or
love offerings in our Church Services, nor do we accept donations or contributions
from any person or organization. Only immediate, bona fide members of the
Church may contribute, if they wish, for its material needs and ongoing activities.
In lieu of donations or contributions, all are expected to pay for material
services provided by the Church, such as meals, lodging and other courtesies.
- We observe only one Sacrament the serving of Holy Communion after the manner of the LORD'S Supper,
in the form of a full course meal, for the nourishment of the body as well
as for the upliftment of the Soul.
- We believe that the Woodmont Estate in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania, is the Mount
of the House of the LORD, from which shall go forth the Law, as prophesied
in Isaiah 2:2-3 and Micah 4:1-2.
- Under the Peace Mission Movement, there are six incorporated Churches, with
branches in the United States and throughout the world. Our Church Services
are without ritual, and the general
public is welcome to attend and participate harmoniously.
- FATHER DIVINE and MOTHER DIVINE have given their messages and sermons gratis
to be published for the upliftment of the people. We will continue

We believe in living an unselfish life of service, a life of giving rather than getting. We look to GOD as the Source of our Supply and trust HIM infinitely. Neither FATHER DIVINE or MOTHER DIVINE or Officers and Coworkers in the Church receive a salary or compensation.
We believe in the practicality of Christianity that society should be GOD centered and not self centered. GOD should be reckoned as ever present in every aspect of daily life in the Home, Church, School, Government, Business, Science, Art, Entertainment and Sports.
