A large group of students from Swarthmore College, and other visitors as well were present to hear this marvelous Sermon given by FATHER on this occasion. Truly, the thoughts expressed herein by our Beloved LORD and SAVIOR, shall shake creation! Yes, shall shake all mankind with the Good News that and Glad Tidings as expounded by the MASTER of OMNIPOTENCY and the CONTROLLER of humanistic's DESTINY
Away down in Texas and in the furthest parts of the south
They shall eat and drink together
These Words came out of GOD'S Mouth!
There will be no more race riots or lynching.
There will be no more division and strife,
When they recognize GOD'S Body
They will value each other's life!
FATHER will make them love each other so much.
With or without the Anti-lynching Bill.
They will know they our brother
and will not desire to kill!
Away down in Texas and in the furthest parts of the south
They will enact the Bill of Rights
In every community!
Racism shall be wiped out!
(FATHER Speaks as follows:)
PEACE, EVERYONE: That little composition, although an inspiration, a melody and music, to be considered, it is FULFILLED this day in your hearings! For as well as a composition, it is also a prediction. After a while the American people under this great Democracy shall live as Real Citizens of America a Democracy that is second to none! A Declaration of Independence and a Constitution with its Amendments second to none! (Loud applause resounds.)
We are happy to say today, that little composition as a melody and a prediction I AM actually fulfilling! Aren't you glad! ("Yes, so glad!" came the affirmation.) And that is why we can rejoice to see the great unfoldment of Democracy and the fulfillment of the predictions, such as that one, and can actually see your prayers are being fulfilled as no man can fulfill them! Aren't you glad! ("Yes, so glad, GOD ALMIGHTY! came the joyous explanation.)
There will be no more division and strife, no more race riots and lynchings, for GOD HIMSELF is on earth among HIS People! (Thunderous applause and cheering echo echoed through the vast Holy Communion Hall.)
You are been praying from your early existence, asking GOD to let the Kingdom come and the Will be done on EARTH as it is in Heaven. I AM not only dealing in the organization or Movement commonly known as FATHER DIVINE'S Movement or Peace Mission, but I AM but I AM dealing in the affairs of men Supernaturally! I AM contagionizing the Atmosphere of all organizations with the Recognition and the Realization of the Brotherhood of man and the Fatherhood of GOD! Aren't you glad! ("Yes, so glad LORD!" came the immediate response.)
Therefore, we do rejoice and we are happy to say, though that little composition came out as a melody from the invisible realm of the heart and of the mind and then expanded and extended from shore to shore and from land to land, it was not just merely a composition as a melody to be sung, but it as a prediction and to us it is a declaration! Not only that composition but many more compositions under the Peace Mission Movement and in the audiences over which I preside are making such declarations, such predictions and such recognitions, and declaring such realizations. Aren't you glad! ("So glad!" came the reply.)
For this cause, we rejoice, and we are happy to present to you, MY Fellow Citizens, Hearers and Friends a slight sketch and a reflection demonstrated in your presence, of what we are going to have all over this wide extended plane! (Loud applause rings out)
When I declared it many ears ago, there were a few could, at that time take cognizance of MY Message or simply believe it, because they had been steeped in racism, sectarianism and steeped in prejudice and bigotry and division of every kind, until they could not see. But oh, how glorious it is, the time has truly come, even, GOD is making the same declaration in other organizations!. The declaration has been made in the Methodist Church, "Let there be no division among us, and whomsoever desires to worship and take Holy Communion with you, let them take it!" That has long since gone out! Aren't you glad! ("So glad, GOD ALMIGHTY," came the exclamation.) And I AM appealing to all organizations and all nations, "UNITE! UNITE! UNITE! FOR DIVISION IS STRIFE!" Division will cause you to destroy yourself and those with whom you are concerned but UNITY and BROTHERHOOD and DEMOCRACY will bring an END to all division, all inhumanity and all confusion!
For this cause, we are happy to say,
'Come, all the world, Come, sinners, thou.
All things in CHRIST Are ready now!'
I heard the Catholic Church say the same thing, away down in Louisiana! Aren't
you glad! ("So glad, LORD!" came the gladsome exclamation.) It has
declared there shall be NO DIVISION in the CHURCH! I have heard them in practically
ALL of the Churches those churches that were discriminate against other denominations,
other organizations, other so-called races, creeds and colors I heard them say, "let
us come and unite together!"
Aren't you glad! ("Oh, yes! So glad!" came the joyous exclamation.)
Once again was a young man desired to join the M. E. Church, and he went to the Sunday School Bible Class and they sent him away, "We cannot accommodate him here!" and they sent him away. He was very persistent in his ambition, conscientious and sincere in his religion conviction. So he said to the Pastor he would like to join the Church. I said, the M. E. Church I am not speaking about the A.M.E. Church. That's the way I have to tell you! Aren't you glad!" ("So glad!" came the reply with merriment.)
Then he said the Pastor said to him ----said: "You think it over and pray to GOD and ask HIM should you joint this Church, and come back and tell me what the LORD will tell you!" After a while he went back, and he said that the Pastor said, "What did the LORD say to you?" He said, "The LORD said HE HIMSELF has been trying to get in your Church for the last fifty years but HE could not get in there now how do you expect to get in there!" (Laughter responds throughout the Holy Communion Hall, FATHER sweetly joining in.
Then FATHER said:) That was years ago I mean, some time back but now I can say to the little boy , "I Can Get in the Churches!" (Loud applause rings out.)
The LORD had been trying to get in the Church for the last FIFTY YEARS and could not get in there I mean, could not get in there invisibly by the HOLY GHOST; in the Name of the HOLY GHOST, the HOLY SPIRIT; could not get in that church at that time, but now HE can get in there! (Again thunderous applause resounds.) the churches are united since GOD entered in, even though the door was shut ("So glad!" came the exclamation midst applause.)
Now we shall unite so consolidatedly it will be a matter of impossibility for the nazis, if they were to come to life again nor communism, nor any other aggressor nation will be able to sever us! I have declared, 'together we stand but divided we would fall. If we would divide! But oh, how glorious it is to realize, as you unite and unify and refuse to be divided, you will be even as our Country is predicted to be, yea, what it is predestined to be for the Pledge of Allegiance to our Flag calls for one nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. We shall have one nation; not only one nation but one family, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all where we all will able to live in peaceful and quiet resting places, all over this wide extended plane; where there will be no more lacks and wants and limitations, no more adverse and undesirable conditions, for we all shall actually be one since CHRIST has had a chance to get in the CHURCH! (Thunderous applause rings out.)
GOD cannot get into a Church HIS Spirit cannot get in a church where there is segregation! If there is segregation in your church because of race, creed or color, as you may term it to be, it is a matter of IMPOSSIBILITY for GOD to be WITH YOU! (Loud applause sanctioning this resounds.)
I have long since declared and I declared it Scripturally,
'Wheresoever two or three are gathered together in MY Name, touching and agreeing upon the one thin that is need needful there I will be in the midst of them to bless the needy!'
The REVERSE is equally true being true to be away from you! Wheresoever you are
touching and disagreeing, I AM sure to be absent from your presence and you are
sure to have the "other fellow" with you! If it is a church H, home,
business, profession, labor or trade whatsoever it may be where there is a division
or confusion it is a matter of impossibility for GOD to work with you sympathetically
and harmoniously for you! (*So"
true!: came sanction from the Congregation.)
Let us live in this Recognition, and since GOD has a chance to get in the Church now, you your prayers have been heard and answered! For you prayed in that Prayer commonly known as The LORD'S Prayer, to let THY Kingdom COME and let THY Will be DONE on EARTH as it is in Heaven! Then I say, the catholic church and all of the churches are coming to this conviction and coming to the realization that you cannot go to heaven unless you live together here on earth! Aren't you glad! ("Yes, so glad, GOD ALMIGHTY! exclaimed the joyous Congregation in adoration.)
There will be no more division and strife! And in those little compositions, not only the one but many, relating to the same message I am conveying, you will find if you will take cognizance of same, I will be you with you and give you the victory, and there will be no an ensign of divisibility among you, but unity, brotherhood, tranquility! And greater will be the unfoldment of success and prosperity for I did declare even back in the Book of Genesis
'Behold, the people is One, and they have ALL ONE LANGUAGE, and this they begin to do. Now nothing will be restrained from them to do, that which they have imagined to do!'
That was the keynote that was left on record to let you see and know how even
the hold-up men, even wicked men, when they united mentally and professionally,
they customarily accomplish whatsoever they may endeavor! Two hold-up men can
go in bank and hold up the whole bank and get away, when they are unified sufficiently!
How much more should the children of GOD be. When you are with ME Aren't you
glad! ("So glad, GOD ALMIGHTY!!" came the instantaneous reply.) And
are with one accord and will not deviate or digress from your lord, all, things
are possible (Loud applause rings out.)
Then that quotation and Declaration of GOD in Genesis ll:6 is applicable to you and your experience, and naught will be restrained from you to do, that which you have imagined to do!
I need not say more. If there is a question about it, you can see for yourself! If you take ME to be a natural man "Well, YOU are nothing but a natural man"! someone may say, Well, even if you THINK it because we are ONE, NOTHING can be restrained from ME to DO, that which I have imagined to do! (Thunderous applause and cheering ring out from the admiring congregation.) I'll do just what I please! Naught can hinder me! (Aren't you glad!) for I am not pleased, neither do I desire, to do anything that is detrimental! I do not desire to do anything that is wrong! ! And whatsoever I may desire to do that will I do and naught can hinder me! (Again applause rings out.) even the cosmic forces of nature, floods and storms, volcanoes and tornadoes will stop when I tell them to stop! (The applause and cheering is tumultuous! When it finally subsides somewhat, FATHER continues speaking .
Live in this recognition and build upon a foundation that cannot be shaken! Have an incorruptible and an undefiled faith, knowing this; that when you are unified according to the plan of GOD nothing will be restrained of GOD, nothing will be restrained from you to do, that which you have imagined to do! -- Genesis ll:6! That was something that they were doing, apparently, at that time, erroneously; but because of the power of unity, they were building a tower up into Heaven, apparently, and GOD had to stop them and had to confound their minds and divide them in thought and in mind, to prohibit them from going to Heaven in the wrong way(Merriment resounds, FATHER again joining in. Then FATHER continued:)
Jesus said,
'No man has ascended up to Heaven but HE that came down from Heaven even the Son of man which is in Heaven!'
And Jesus did not teach you to go to Heaven but He said,
'The Kingdom of GOD is within you'
When you get the Kingdom of GOD within yourself, you will be even as it was with
Jesus when John saw Him coming: "Behold, the Kingdom of GOD is with men!" (Loud
applause resounds.) GOD is with men!" (Loud applause resounds.)
So it is a privilege to have this Kingdom without and within! Then and there, the kingdom has truly come and the will is being done just as it's being done here with you all! True Followers of MINE would not drink intoxicating liquors! Whatsoever the Church would consider to be a sin, they will do it! That is what I AM talking about! And I do not have to tell them not to do it! (Loud applause rings out.) You don't see True followers of MINE drinking and smoking and doing everything else that they are big enough to do! (Again laugher resounds, then FATHER says:)
So then I say, it is a privilege to know nothing will be restrained from you to do, that which you have imagined to do, if you are unified together for Righteousness' sake and will let there be no division among you!
I need not say more at the instant. We have visiting guests, visiting friends as strangers among us. We want you to feel free to speak, if you desire to do so, by moving volitionally, voluntarily, spontaneously even as we do, if you care to. If you do not care to move from that angle of expression, give us your name, address and professions; we will introduce you and we will listen to you! I thank You!
(As it seemed that not any of the visiting guests felt moved to speak at this time, our Beloved SAVIOR arose to speak once more as follows:)
PEACE, EVERYONE: Apparently no one cares to speak of those of our visiting guests and friends. If you do not care to speak you are not required to and you are not obligated to, but when you come to our audience, we strive to be mindful how we entertain strangers and treat them as we should treat them. Give them the freedom to peacefully assemble with us and express themselves according. But if they do not feel or care to speak, you are not obligated to, you are not required to, and we are happy in have you come and see. But now may go home and tell your teachers and professors and all others, the Pastor said tonight that GOD has got in the church! a place where HE could not get in for many years! The story goes when the little boy asked the LORD about joining that Church, GOD told him "If I have been trying to get in the Church for the last fifty years, how do you expect to get in there?" I want to say now, "GOD has gotten in the church!"(Loud applause resounds
Everybody should turn out to the Church, some Church of your own Faith and profession, according to your religious conviction! You do not have to come to MINE, especially. If you wish to come you are welcome to do so, but you do not have to come or go to any of our Churches unless you wish to! But GOD is in the church now, and you will find GOD in most of the churches now, since he had a chance to get in the church! He could not get his spirit in the church before. He had been trying to get his spirit in the church years ago, but now GOD has broken that line of demarcation and brought an end to localization and brought an end to divisibility, and united the people together socially and politically, intellectually, morally and otherwise: therefore, that is the inlet for GOD to get in the children and in business, profession, labor and trade! I thank you! (Thunderous applause resounds, then FATHER says:) PEACE EVERYONE: Those of us who have dined will arise, take the back seat and back stand or pass out and pass on and allow others to come and do even as we are doing! I thank you!
