In 1964, Mrs. Lucy Ridd came from Australia for a visit with FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE and Their Family at Woodmont. When she returned to Australia, she wrote a long letter to FATHER and MOTHER which told of the pleasure and upliftment that she, with the other two sisters in the party, experienced during their wonderful time at The Mount Of The House Of The LORD. Here are excerpts from FATHER DIVINE'S reply to her, dated August 19, 1964.
My dear Mrs. Ridd:
Thank you for your letter of the 29th and I AM glad to know you enjoyed your journey back to Australia. It is true, if you open your eyes to see, you can behold the effect of My Presence everywhere in the earth!
When you ascend to the Mountain Top in Consciousness where you are cognizant of being in My Presence in the Mount Of The House Of The LORD, you should be so filled and thrilled with the Spirit of Praise that when you descend into the valley where your business or activities call you, My Spirit will be a Light unto your path and a Magnet to attract others. I will do it if you will let me!
Let ME abide in you and I will carry you where you would not personally think to go, and enable you to accomplish that which you personally might not consider you would be able to do! It is Wonderful! I have given you abundant health, joy, Peace and happiness. You have nothing to fear for lo, I AM with you always each of you, My beloved ones, throughout the world who are adhering to these Principles of Righteousness, Justice and Truth, which I have exemplified for you in this Life of CHRIST.
Only the Truth is Eternal, therefore let the Spirit of Truth abide in you, for it is written:
'He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment, a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.". . . Deuteronomy 32:4
The Spirit of My Presence is teaching you and lifting you above the highest Standard that mankind has ever known. Therefore, "Greater works than these shall ye do." Hence, I feel My Love returning to ME, as you say, from My Own in all parts of the earth.
Truly, Righteousness is covering the earth as the waters the mighty deep,
and from all over the Universe, this Peace and Love
shall return to ME from
whence I have sent it.
