Anniversaries of FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE'S Wedding begin with Previews of the Anniversary. After the Anniversary, there are Review Celebrations. One of the Reviews of the Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary was held at the Unity Mission Church, Westminster Avenue and North 41st Street in Philadelphia on June 2, AD 1996 FD 51. The happy crowd eagerly climbed the stairs to the commodious Banquet Hall and took seats at the Banquet Table, with its lengthy head Table and its four outstretched wings.
At the beginning of the Service, MOTHER DIVINE bade "Peace" to all those who had answered the call to celebrate this Review of the Holy Marriage of the Lamb and the Bride. SHE said it is a "Spiritual Marriage that involves everyone who loves GOD and desires to be obedient to GOD and do His Will." It touches the lives of all.
Later in the Service, MOTHER DIVINE was moved to speak after hearing FATHER DIVINE'S Sermon on the tape recorder, followed by the song,"FATHER Is The Keyflower.
"That song that was sung is what really moved ME, because when you have the Keyflower, you have made your contact with GOD, so that HE can, through your concentration on HIM, and through your consecration to the Principle that HE IS, HE can transmit His Mind and His Spirit to you so that you can be transformed. Of ourselves we cannot do it.
"They say you cannot change human nature. Humans cannot change human
nature because if we live in self, we can't change ourselves
and we don't want
to change ourselves. But when we contact GOD, then His Spirit changes our minds;
His Spirit gives us the energy and the power and the determination to make
the changes that everybody has to make if they are going to be born again born
out of the Adamic state of consciousness born out of that consciousness that
is cursed. You are cursed as long as you live in it."
"I mean, you fall under the curse of Adam and Eve, and you're subject to all that goes with it. But when you are born out of it into the Mind and Spirit of JESUS CHRIST, then you receive everything that GOD is and everything that JESUS CHRIST represents. Believe it or not but you have to believe it to receive it. But you can be as HE is. Isn't that Wonderful!
"It is essential to contact GOD and especially to have the wonderful revelation that the followers of FATHER DIVINE have, that Jesus has come again in the Fathership Degree with Power. HE said HE would come and be with us. We found HIM. We found HIM feeding the people, and HE said we would recognize HIM by His Works how HE would feed the people and heal the people and change the people. FATHER did all that Jesus said HE would do when HE would come again and more. And HE has put His Spirit in the people, and we have continued to walk in His Statutes all these years. Isn't that wonderful!
"It is wonderful to have that recognition of GOD being here on earth
with us, truly in hands reach, closer than breathing, nearer than
hands or
feet, knowing that GOD is our FATHER and we never had another, knowing that
HE came to fulfill the prayer that HE taught us to pray, to let the Kingdom
come on earth as it is in Heaven. Knowing those things, it is wonderful!
"We have experienced it because we recognize the reality of GOD here and now, not some time in the future, not in some suppositional realm, but here in the United State of America here in this Nation that was born to be the Birthplace of the Kingdom of GOD on earth. Such a wonderful miracle that happened right here in Philadelphia to give birth to such a Nation that would receive all nations and give people the right to worship GOD according to the dictates of their own conscience. Isn't that wonderful!
"This is the reality that FATHER DIVINE has brought, and this is the reality that HE demonstrated. And those of us who have picked up that Keyflower, this recognition, and have kept the Keyflower, we have picked up all of the gems that HE was abundantly giving to us, and because we did not let go of the Keyflower, we continue to enjoy them in this day.
"With or without FATHER'S Personal Body being in our view, HE'S here. You may not see HIM with your physical eye, but GOD is here. HE continues to BE, just the same. So that is a wonderful thing. FATHER is the Keyflower to the Garden of our Souls. HE is that Principle that is impersonal and universal. HE demonstrated it. It's free for one and it's free for all. But you have to pick up the Keyflower, and you have to use it.
"That's what being married to GOD is all about. Just as in human marriage, you have to work at it and it's a full time job. And when you are married to GOD, it's a full time job. And JESUS CHRIST HE worked at it. I mean by that, HE was exposed to many oppositions, and HE had to have the courage to stand up for His FATHER, and to declare His FATHER, and to give birth to this New Consciousness on the earth at that time. HE did it because HE was working on His Oneness with His FATHER. And HE prayed. Jesus prayed that we may be one, even as HE and His FATHER are One. So that's what it's all about. This Marriage is being one with GOD, and when we're one with GOD, all of our physical, mental and spiritual desires are abundantly satisfied. If they're not, we have to work on it.
"But FATHER does have the solution to all of the problems, all of our individual problems, all of our community problems. I mean HE really does but you have to work on it. You have to make changes. And you can't expect something for nothing and that doesn't mean just dollars and cents. FATHER really taught us to be independent and not to try to get something for nothing pay our way and so forth. But it's on the mental plane, and it's on the spiritual plane. You have to let go of the old to embrace the new.
"Any person that is aware that we are entering into the Twenty First Century and especially if you have lived through World War II or since World War II you know the tremendous changes that have been taking place. It is just mind boggling, the speed with which mankind has progressed technologically, the way we can communicate like we never could before, the way the people of the world have been mixed as they've never been mixed before. It's so wonderful. And the way the computers have changed the world. We could go and on to talk about these changes.
"It goes to show that we cannot live in the same state of consciousness that people lived in before this great change took place. We know that what caused the cessation of World War II was the dropping of the Atom bomb. But that was because GOD had led man to split the Atom and release all of this energy. And we know that it happened in the mental and spiritual realm before that.
"It was a great bomb that dropped when people realized that GOD was here and they just couldn't live the way they used to live. That's why millions of people all over the world caught the recognition that GOD was here in the Body of FATHER DIVINE I mean all over the world, without FATHER DIVINE going anywhere Personally. And they came from the north, from the south, from the east and from the west. And they came declaring, "I Know FATHER DIVINE is GOD!" It was a great Light that was turned on.
"You know, when Benjamin Franklin was able to draw the power of the lightning to the earth, that was the beginning of the blessing of electricity on the earth plane. And we all know how it transformed our lives. It transformed the whole world. It was at that same time that the first One, Peninnah, {the first Mother Divine} got that recognition that FATHER DIVINE is GOD. That is the great Key to all that is taking place in the earth today. So we just have to call on this Mighty Name, and we have to be willing to surrender our all to be married to GOD, to be married to the Principles of Righteousness, Justice and Truth, to be willing to be sweet, loving and kind, to get rid of malice and hatred and strife and violence and brutality. Isn't that wonderful! That's what this is all about. And it's so wonderful; it's so necessary, and it's so real.
"We thank YOU, FATHER, that we are living in this great recognition. We wouldn't take anything for our journey. We love YOU, FATHER Dear. We love all that YOU stand for. And we get the results of what we believe. And we welcome everybody to share it. But whether they do or not, we are going to strive to love YOU more, FATHER, to serve YOU more, to deny our personalities, our individualities, and ourselves more, so the Light of Your Presence can shine, and the Power of Your Presence can speed up the momentum of GOD cleansing the earth and establishing the Kingdom of GOD on the earth for this Twenty First Century, when it has been prophesied that CHRIST in that day and in that time would rule and reign and have His Way. Thank YOU, FATHER Dear!"
