Tools with Which to Realize the Presence of God

The purpose of every aspect of FATHER DIVINE'S Teaching is to direct the individual toward
the development of the Consciousness of GOD'S Actual Presence.

The three main tools used by FATHER DIVINE are:

1. Practice of the Presence of GOD. One's separation from GOD stems from the sin of hiding oneself from HIS Presence. Acting as though one is always in GOD'S Presence and being the same will bring the consciousness of HIS Actual Presence.

2. Visualization. 'As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.' Man has created the negative conditions by mentally, spiritually and physically visualizing them. To reverse the condition, FATHER stresses vividly visualizing the Positive and Perfect.

3. Demonstration.

In every way FATHER DIVINE placed the positive, the desirable, the pure, the Perfect,
before the physical eye as well as the mind's eye of the people

(a) First and foremost, HE offered HIS Own Holy Body, living among the people and Personally demonstrating everything HE asked HIS following to do.

(b) Next, HIS Spotless Virgin Bride was offered as the Sample and Example of how the people should love GOD and consecrate and dedicate their lives to HIM.

(c) The Holy Communion Table is a dynamic demonstration and object lesson, for here in its working order is found every ingredient necessary for mankind's redemption and advancement. It is the world that man has envisaged in miniature: Father-Motherhood of GOD, Brotherhood of Man, One Family, material abundance and splendor, harmony, system, order, cleanliness, Righteousness (Right-use-ness ).

(d) The Woodmont Estate is the demonstration of GOD with HIS people. The American heritage that produced Woodmont in an age of elegance is fused with the Spiritual law that preserves the best that man attained and makes it available for all people. Here all the world may come to witness the Scripture fulfilled and the American Dream made a reality.
