The basic goals and philosophy of the Peace Mission Movement are: (a) The establishment of the Kingdom of GOD on earth and (b) living in the reality of Heaven on earth.

This is in accord with JESUS CHRIST'S teaching people to pray, 'Let thy kingdom come and thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' In order for this to come about, there are these fundamental requirements:

1. One must select, elect and enthrone GOD as supreme in one's life and affairs. This is the first of the Ten Commandments,

Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:5

2. One must believe that Heaven is a state of consciousness that can be attained in one's personal experience here on earth. When produced within, it is manifested without in all aspects of life. Jesus presented Heaven in His Person because of the supreme consciousness of GOD which He manifested. John the Baptist, preaching of Jesus' coming, said,

The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew - 3.2

Paul spoke of Jesus as being

the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29

3. One must believe in the Fatherhood of GOD, the Creator and Provider, and in the Brotherhood of Man, the created, sharing in the abundance that GOD provides, where selfishness, graft and greed are nonexistent, and where giving and loving and trusting in GOD are the only means of exchange.

4. One must believe in Virginity and Chastity, for according to Jesus,

'In the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.' Matthew 22:30.

In innocence and purity one can behold GOD and HIS Kingdom, because Jesus said,

Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein; Mark 10:15

and

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8

5. One must believe that it is not inevitable for one to suffer misery, sickness and old age; neither is there any need for death to come to the body. Jesus said,

If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. John 8:51

Also, Elihu said to Job,

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man His uprightness. . . his flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth. Job 33:23,25.

6. And finally one must desire to make the changes in one's life that would bring about the state of consciousness indicated in the five points above. Jesus said,

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Matthew 16:24

and

Whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:33.

To underscore the importance of the fourth and sixth requirements, attention is called to FATHER DIVINE'S International Modest Code in Chapter 6, Basic Policy Of Conduct. Followers maintain that only by adherence to this Code will national and world unity be achieved.
