Brigantine Hotel
Truly is this quotation today a living reality in our midst. Daily it is being enacted throughout the Universe as those in dire need, from one angle or another, call on the Blessed Holy Name of FATHER DIVINE, GOD ALMIGHTY and receive the answer to their earnest prayers.'Call on ME in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify Me!'
Thus it was that the United States Coast Guard of Brigantine Island and Atlantic City, in need of more spacious, comfortable and sanitary housing, called on the Comforter and Savior, Who made it possible for their earnest and sincere desire to be fulfilled!
Read, therefore, this outstanding Message given by the LORD, and learn the meaning of TRUE AMERICANISM and TRUE CHRISTIANITY and REAL DEMOC RACY put forth in ACTIONS and DEEDS for the uplift and benefit of one and all, regardless to so-called race, creed or color; for all shall live as one man at Jerusalem, yea, as E PLURI BUS UNUM, under the great Banner of GOD, the FATHER of all!
O GRACIOUS REDEEMER, HOW WE THANK THEE!

PEACE, EVERYONE: At this instance I would like to say, it is a true saying,
'First seek ye the kingdom of GOD and His Righteousness and all things shall be added unto you!'
By the Freedom of the Press and the various freedoms this democracy gives us,
we have a chance to express that of which I just
mentioned. By first seeking
the Kingdom of GOD and HIS Righteousness then all things shall be added--whatsoever
is necessary. And I was just thinking of how marvelous it is to get this Freedom
and have a chance to add blessings to yourself and to humanity.
I thought just then of the Brigantine Hotel which was purchased less than a year ago by just a limited few of MY Followers who, in turn, gave this Church a grant for the usage of the Hotel for our Church and all of our religious services that may be carried on under our laws and by-laws of the Church.
This was granted to us; the Church was organized, dedicated, consecrated and incorporated, but not until after the Followers purchased the property. There were a good many people who thought that we would be a detriment to the community, but I AM pleased to present to you, MY Followers, Hearers and Fellow Citizens, the knowledge of the Truth and the Truth as a fact that our fellow citizens recognize MY Presence and the Work of MY Mission in Brigantine as no other organization has been represented!
The Coast Guards' Commander desired to get accommodation for the boys to have a chance to get a shower there as they did not have convenience at the place where they were then located, and the privilege was given them by the Church to take a shower, for we did have the power to do that as the Church. And I thought, as we suggested, to give them a floor or two to accommodate sixty or more of the Coast Guards, but there was some question as to whether it would be permissible by the navy for them to live under the jurisdiction in the same building. So this question was brought to the surface, as they said it would not be. Hence, they desired to lease the whole building; but I told them it was not in MY Power to lease the building nor any of the property, or words to that effect, because the property did not belong to the Church and I could not lease it, neither could the trustees of the Church lease it; but I would get in touch--we would hold a meeting and get the trustees to get in touch with the owners and see what would they do. If they desired to lease it, it would be their privilege to do so.
The government offered ten thousand dollars a year for the use of the property. This was an offhanded offer without any negotiation, and a good many of the people told ME that they would have been willing to pay at least twelve or fifteen thousand a year! But through the co-operation of the Church, as the members of the Church and the trustees held the meeting and brought it before the owners who are Followers of MINE also, they all agreed to grant it to the government absolutely GRATIS for the duration!
As I said to them, "Just as you have given the Church the grant and we have waived our right to the usage of the grant for the duration, if you desire to do any negotiating and desire to give the government the same privilege you gave us, I would heartily endorse it!" And so they did!
I would just like to say, now this beautiful Church has been dedicated to democracy for the duration (Aren't you glad!); for democracy spiritually interpreted is Christianity by MY Interpretation. Therefore, we are representing a real democracy!
For this cause MY Followers were willing to waive the ten thousand or twelve thousand dollars per annum and give it to the government absolutely gratis; not buying bonds with it but give it to the government absolutely gratis for the duration, the amount they would have paid them.
This is what we call REAL AMERICANISM--AMERICANISM IN ACTION and in DEEDS to our FELLOW CITIZENS, and as a HUMANE ACT by so doing; for there were many of the Coast Guard boys without comfort and convenience as they could not get it immediately; therefore, they sought it through contacting ME and the
Movement; and they said they would enact the BILL of RIGHTS there! What I mean by that--they said they would not segregate.
On the Island there, its Coast Guards are of dark complexion and of light complexion, and they all will occupy this beautiful church for the duration if the government chooses to accept of it. And the amount that they, the owners, would have received, as it was already dedicated and consecrated to the Church and for charitable purposes only, and not for commercial purposes, why, they just transferred it to the government just as they allowed us to have it! Aren't you glad!
Now the composition says, "FATHER'S marching on!" In the name of TRUE AMERICANISM, in the name of TRUE CHRISTIANITY, as the PERSONIFICATION of both it and them, AMERICANISM, CHRISTIANITY and DEMOCRACY, I stand, and I AM marching on to VICTORY! I have not done anything yet to what I will do if they, the people, will but let ME! Aren't you glad! For
'Of HIS Kingdom and of HIS Peace and of HIS Increase there shall be no end!'Through MY MIND and SPIRIT it will be possible for such as that to be done over and over again thousands and thousands of times, to bring about a RIGHTEOUS GOVERNMENT right here in this land and to set all of the people free by expressing a REAL DEMOCRACY! Aren't you glad!
Then I say, I rejoice because it is not just an act of service to those who are called MY Followers. This is very explicit to let you see and know MY Work and MISSION are not confined to those who are called MY Followers alone, but to and for the good of all humanity and especially for the endorsement of a REAL DEMOCRACY!
I felt very sympathetic for the boys and their representative when they told ME the condition of the barracks in which they were obliged to sleep for the time being, as there had been many soldiers, much of the Army, brought to Atlantic City--so many Coast Guards brought there they did not have the accommodation and the facilities for them to take baths as yet; and we were pleased to do so as a patriotic duty and as a human act and as a Christian Duty according to the Gospel:
'Whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?'
I could see that they stood in need when they could not get a bath! I could see that they stood in need when they did not and could not get a comfortable accommodation for sleeping and for living! But now they have a beautiful, comfortable accommodation by the Grace of GOD!
Since this happened, those who were MY so-called enemies--just a few around who lived there--they come rejoicing now, saying, "We will never meddle you any more!" So, RIGHTEOUSNESS MARCHES ON!"
But in that little instance as a victory over prejudice and bigotry and HITLERISM in this nation and out of the country, I AM pleased to present to Mr. Hitler the news that the BRIGANTINE--and the news that American citizens as representatives of the government will be housed in this building together without and discrimination or segregation, according to the Commander! I thank you!
