FATHER DIVINE
Mrs Davis: Peace, FATHER.
FATHER: Your name is Mrs. Davis?
Mrs. Davis: Yes, FATHER. FATHER I would like YOU to heal ME of this high blood pressure. My head feels bad and I can't eat heavy.
FATHER: Well, I would go by the instruction of your physician and go by your diet and abstain from anything that will agitate it. You should refrain from it, such as salts and red meats and things that would tend to cause your blood pressure to rise and then cause the exertion of your heart unnecessarily to beat excessively; and by abstaining from those things and calming yourself mentally and spiritually and steadying your mind, just be calm and refuse to get excited; refuse to get angry or refuse to get resentful or any of those detestable tendencies — even if they would be prenataled within you! Refuse to allow them to have access for expression and contact ME harmoniously and sympathetically, conscientiously and sincerely and you will get results, for it is the Spirit that will do it; for it is written:
"It is not by power nor by might, but by MY Spirit , says the Lord."
Therefore the Spirit will do it!
Mrs. Davis: Yes.
FATHER: If the people would only realize that it is the Spirit in them, if you are a Christian and have ever been converted, commonly considered as having been dug up by the plough shares of the Gospel and set free by the Holy Ghost, and if you have the Spirit of GOD dwelling in you, it is the Spirit, that same Spirit; since the Spirit of GOD is infinite and eternal, it is the same Spirit that that moved out upon the face of the water before GOD had any Body, before GOD formed man according to the historians!
But because HE did not even have a Body and had not yet formed man, it did not prohibit GOD from carrying on HIS Work and Mission in the act of the beginning of the Creation, and the Creation of all creation, when GOD said,
"Let there be light and there was light.
when GOD said,
"Let dry land appear."
and it came forth into expression.
Mrs. Davis: It is Wonderful!
FATHER: The same Spirit is speaking today and is just as operative and just as expressive. So if you can but have the Faith, I will be with you and will give you the same results that millions of others have received; not necessarily by contacting ME Personally, but if they contact ME mentally and spiritually, since it is the Spirit, they will get results!
Mrs. Davis: Thank YOU, FATHER.
FATHER: Peace and many blessings! You will feel better if you can but only grasp this thought, this truth.
