The Mount of the House of the Lord

The Mount of the House of the Lord

Once upon a time, why just no longer than about nineteen or twenty years ago, the children caught the inspiration by the true interpretation of "SELF-DENIAL", and they would not even so much as claim their nose, ' their fingers, their hands, and their hair, or anything that was commonly called theirs. They caught the thought to say, "the hands", "the feet"', "the eye", "the hair", for they DENIED themselves of the limited., or to the full extent., even to the degree wherein they denied every muscle, every sinew, every vein, every bone and every atom and fibre and cell of their bodily form. Through such a. denial, GOD could come and have full and free access and naught could hurt them nor harm them with such a recognition. Oh! it is wonderful!

SELF-DENIAL: It is a wonderful consideration but so long as you feel as if though you wish to be identified, so long as you feel as if though you wish for someone else to know what you are doing for GOD, or for mankind, it is an open expression that you are not worthy of even the notice or the attention of those with whom you come in contact, for you are robbing GOD. It is wonderful! It is written,

'When you do your alms, do not sound a trumpet that you might be seen and heard of men.'

Whether it is great or small, whatsoever you do, do it all to the Glory of GOD.
