A Request of Chief Officials and Leading Citizens Seeking His Cooperation
in Cleaning up The City of its Vice and Crime

"All of you as American citizens will not regret your endeavors if you have endeavored
to live according to the Constitution and its Amendments and according to
the Declaration of Independence."

"Our FATHER'S Message" Given Whilst at the Banquet Table,

Philadelphia Ball Park, September 5th, 1939

Guests at The Mount of the House of the Lord

Guests dining with FATHER and MOTHER DIVINE at The Mount of the Hopuse of the Lord, Gladwyne, Pa.

This significant though brief Message was given by FATHER just before HE left the Banquet Table to return to the rostrum and continue the great mass meeting from there. (The foregoing statement is that of the transcriber, after which FATHER Speaks as follows:)

PEACE, EVERYONE: Here we all are again. I would just like to say at this instance, if any of our visiting friends would care to have a word to say, they are welcome to speak. Move volitionally as we do if they care to. If they do not care to move volitionally as we do, give us their names, addresses and professions, we will gladly introduce them according to custom.

I would just like to say at this instance to the representatives and citizens of the City of Brotherly Love, I appreciate your invitation for ME to come to this city. I AM sure MY followers also do the same. I would just like to say as I said in part a little while ago, if there is any person or persons of this City of Philadelphia who did not nor do not appreciate MY visit to your city, I AM sure the chief officials and leading citizens do. They have given ME a cordial invitation to your city and I AM endeavoring to do as I did in New York City--help the officials clean up this city of vice and crime and debauchery of every kind.

I mean to lift up a standard in this City of Brotherly Love to rid this city of the corruption among the different officials and laities as well and cause men to recognize this City of Brotherly Love as a renovated city, being renovated and regenerated into the real brotherly love as was established here when the Quakers were first organized in this part of the country.

Oh, what a glorious privilege to realize, that which has once been established can be revived! The reality of brotherly love can be revived in this community and all of the inhabitants of the earth shall recognize the truth as established in this city.

Then I say, let us live in this recognition and continue to recognize the fundamentals for which this country stands, and all of you as American citizens will not regret your endeavors if you have endeavored to live according to the Constitution and its Amendments and according to the Declaration of Independence. I thank you.
